Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat Goes Green

Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat might seem to you as a very common name if you follow our blog regularly. And it is common. We have seen a similar car a couple of months ago, which was the result of the joint work of Liberty Walk and SR Auto Group. Unlike the first white car, this example comes in toxic green exterior color and this and no other reason (like electric motor) makes the vehicle go green.

The pure raw American muscle car is basically another angry cat that has come out of SR Auto’s bag. The Canadian tuning specialists have given it a Liberty Walk wide body kit. And we must admit that it gives the Dodge menacing and fierce look.

Just like the white Hellcat, the widened body was supported by Airrex air suspension system, which lowers the height of the Challenger significantly. The lowered ride height and the wider body proportions just screamed that they need new wheels.

So, the expert heard that and decided to install a set of forged three-piece PUR LG05 wheels with a matte black diamond face and polished step lip. With a compressor in the trunk, the lines run through to all four corners to increase and decrease pressure. Oh, and have we mentioned that the wheels measure 20-inches?

But there is still one problem. We can not decide which car we like better: the white one or the green one? What’s your choice?

Irmscher Releases Special Edition Opel Insignia is3 Called ‘Bandit’

Irmscher Opel Insignia is3 Bandit is a very special edition car. First, it is an example of the exquisite work of the tuners and secondly it has so much power that no one have ever seen in an Insignia model. In other words, the car features exterior tuning as well as a furious power package.

Exterior

The Bandit has a typical face, which is dominated with some changes added by Irmscher. For example the front features new apron with underride splitter. At the sides, the car is extended by side skirts, while the rear got new diffuser. At the back we also see discreet rear wing, which provides inspiration for street racing.

In general, the car’s exterior color was decided in the dark hues. But there are some accents all over car’s body that come in gold. The same color is used to highlight the wheels, which by the way come in 20-inch dimension both front and rear. The alloys are in Turbo Star Exclusive Design and are made by the tuner.

Optimized Performance

The first step in optimizing the performance was to change the chassis. This was necessary due to the significant increase of power. Speaking of which, the engine received comprehensive revision with updates in the turbocharger, cooling and the intake and exhaust.

As a result, the Insignia now produces 370 hp (279 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. Due to these changes, the acceleration time is now faster than ever. It takes 5.9 seconds for the Bandit to cover the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Comes Stronger in 2016 Model Year

Chevrolet Silverados for MY2016 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is finally revealed after being partially teased in July. The debut happened today at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas. Unfortunately back then we couldn’t grasp what’s new about it but we sincerely hope that this has changed and there is more to see from Chevy’s famous truck. All in all, the vehicle has more muscular design, more customer-focused technologies and other goodies that will grab future buyers’ attention. Here are the details.

What Has Changed for 2016 Model Year

The new generation Silverado features brand new muscular front end design, sculpted hood and signature LED lighting accents. In addition, the wheels will be driven by the eight-speed automatic transmissions. Additional safety technologies are also present: Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist and IntelliBeam high beam assist are in the list. Chevy has also updated its MyLink system and it now supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Distinctive Front

The new front end design is characterized by the advanced lighting and the strong Chevy Truck DNA. As you can see, the designers have integrated the lights into the sweeping horizontal elements and deep grille inserts, while the turn signals and brake lamps were wrapped around the corners of the truck.

In addition, the muscular front end is also strengthened by the sculpted hood. All trim levels include premium lighting with LED signature DRLs and park/turn lamps, while the LED fog lamps are only optional on LT and standard on LT Z71.

Furthermore, the LTZ, LTZ/Z71 and High Country models will be characterized by LED technology, including LED headlamps, daytime running lights, fog lights, park/turn signal lamps, and taillamps.

Drivetrains

2016 Silverado 1500 has a fully boxed high-strength steel frame and a body structure that make extensive use of high strength steels. However, what’s more impressive is the drivetrain range. It comprises of three advanced EcoTec3 engines that feature direct fuel injection, continuously variable valve timing, and cylinder deactivation known as Active Fuel Management. The trio can switch to four-cylinder mode under light-load conditions.

The first engine is Silverado’s standard 4.3L V6, which has been rated at 285 horsepower (210 kW) and 413 Nm (305 lb-ft) of torque. The second one is more powerful, the 5.3L V8, certified at 355 horsepower (261 kW) and 519 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque.

At the top of the range stands the 6.2L V8, which can produce up to 420 horsepower (308 kW) and 623 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque. By the way, the new 8-speed automatic will come as a standard exactly in this engine-equipped Silverados. It will be also standard on LTZ, LTZ/Z71 and High Country Silverados with the 5.3L V8.

Prior Design Transforming the Ferrari 458 Italia

Prior Design Ferrari Italia F458 Front View Prior Design is proud to present their latest project based on the Ferrari Italia F458. It is one of their best tunings we have seen so far and we decided to bring it forward to the public. Although 458 Italia is a sports car that barely needs modifications, Prior Design experts were courageous enough to step into fields that other tuners rarely do.

Basically, the conversion comprises not only of a widening aerodynamic kit, but also adds new wheels and tires, additional lowering as well as extra output for the famous car. And here are the steps of the tuning:

This is the name of the amount of additional parts added to this Ferrari. As a result, the car is 60mm wider up front and 120 mm at the rear. This has been achieved via various elements like the new front and rear bumper, side skirts with add-on spoiler, the front fenders and the rear widenings. The bonnet is also new and it includes vents. PD also added trunk spoiler and vented engine covers.

The catch here is that if you have enough money, you can order these parts in carbon fiber variant. So in this way you will achieve not only more width, but also less weight.

Wheels & Tires Are Dramatic

Wider proportions need bigger wheels to ride on. Hence, the three-piece forged alloys were added. They were made in-house and measure 21×9,5 at the front and 22×11,5 at the rear. The tires added are of the dimensions 255/30ZR21 and 325/25ZR21 at the front and rear, respectively. They are made by Continental.

More Goodies

Prior Design offers an H&R Sport Suspension on request. It will deliver to your Ferrari 35mm lowering, thus making it more menacing than before. There are also in-house made carbon-fiber engine compartment covers.

Interior

Inside, the car has been completed with leather seats in Alcantara and Nappa. The upholstery was is with red stitching.

PD Exhaust System & Engine Chip Tuning

The tuners also ensured that there is a new exhaust system for this car. Precisely, it features 200Cell race cats, manifold and muffler with clap control. The exhaust also serves in terms of power improvement of up to 40PS. In addition, the performance was enhanced via Chiptuning. As a result, the Ferrari is now 30PS and 40Nm stronger.

Lexus launches the IS 200t Model. But Is it That Interesting?

2016 Lexus IS 200t Lexus has combined its recently launched turbocharged engine with the design of the well-known sports sedan and the result is interesting: customers will get a blend of performance, dynamics and efficiency with the IS 200t.

Following its unveiling, Lexus has completely restyled the hi-tech 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine for its debut in IS’s north-south rear-wheel drive layout. What is different now, is that this unit now provides 27 kW more power than the IS 250 V6 and has a torque of 350 Nm.

But the improved engine system is not the only one that deserved attention. IS 200t also combines an eight-speed Sports Direct Shift automatic gearbox with the 2.0-turbo nit for the first time. And the result is obvious: high levels of driveability and flexibility.

And as with all Lexus IS vehicles, the IS 200t also comes with the Lexus Pre-Crash Safety System in Luxury and F-Sport trims, along with the active cruise control and rear side SRS airbags. Furthermore, the Luxury trim now match Sports Luxury and F-Sport models with electronic steering column adjustment.

The introduction of IS 200t will be celebrated and with three new colors: Caliente, Sonic Quartz and Cobalt Mica.

Fostla.de and PP-Performance Gather for a Special Audi RS3 Safety Car

Audi RS3 Safety Car by Fostla.de Front View Audi RS3 has been turned into a Safety Car via optical tuning and then taken to the experts at Fostla.de. They were working in collaboration with the power uprating specialists at PP-Performance to bring about the result we see in the pictures. The car looks stunning and very expressive, so let’s see in details what has happened to it.

After the serial Audi RS3 was modified into a safety car, the wrapping specialists have applied a full white foil to its exterior. Then they have added the details, thus creating a racing design effect. Partial wrapping of the rims followed by a stylish tinting of windows, and the front and rear lights, rounded out the work if Fostla.de.

To be as completed as possible, the safety car needed to be transformed in terms of power. Obviously, Fostla.de didn’t find enough the serial 350hp (250 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of the RS3. So they needed little help in boosting the stock engine.

They have eventually contacted the experts at PP-Performance, who ensured stage 3 tuning for this Audi. Via chip uprating, the output of the Audi is now 450 HP (331 kW) with the amazing 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of optimum torque.

The greatest result is the 4 second time for the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint. How cool is that? But wait, this is not all. The Vmax has been changed too, and it now reaches 310 kmph (190 mph).

Want more? You’ll get more with the BMC racing filter, the charge air cooler, the Wagner down pipe as well as the Milltek sports exhaust system. In other words, this project is definitely something to stare in awe. We like it very much and hope you have enjoyed it as much as we did!

Would 2017 Ford Super Duty Be the Smartest and Toughest of Them All?

2017 Ford Super Duty Ford, America’s truck leader unveiled the latest and greatest 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty. One more time the well-known manufacturer will try to best its own achievements and deliver even better machine. So, let’s see what will this big guy offer to buyers.

Is it that tough?

The machine is constructed with more than 95 per cent high-strength steel that is 24 times stiffer than its predecessor. Furthermore, the latest Ford truck will also include and heavy-duty (or heavier?) four-wheel-drive system, driveline, axles and towing hardware. There will also be high-strength military-grade aluminum alloy components that will ensure that the massiveness and toughness also offer and some lightweight capabilities.

Together, the high-strength steel and the high-strength aluminum alloy components contribute to reduce the overall weight with a total of 320 pounds. How cool is that?

Is it that smart?

The advanced machine comes and with advanced technology. First of all there are seven cameras that will help drivers to see more angles, monitor conditions and know what is exactly happening around them every single second. There is a special center high-mounted camera that provides visibility and special 360-degree camera that offers the so-called bird’s eye view.

2017 Ford Super Duty

The latest Ford truck also offers Adaptive Steering system, SYNC 3 which is Ford’s latest communication and entertainment system that goes along with an 8-inch touch screen, Blind Spot Information System, Lane Departure Laning, Adaptive Cruise Control and numerous more. So, it looks like this vehicle is geared with some serious hi-tech equipment. But this is not all. Additional advanced light-emitting diode technology is all around the 2017 Super Duty. This includes the new LED sideview mirror spotlights, class exclusive quad-beam LED head- and taillamps, new LED cargo box.

Is it that capable?

The Super Duty comes with second-generation Ford-designed 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel unit, paired with TorqShift-G transmission, or with the 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine with the same transmission. The third option is the 6.8-liter V10 gasoline unit. So, it looks that Ford offers different combinations and solutions for its customers.

Interior

All the three cabs, the Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab, are longer and offer nicely done interior design including dual compartment glove box, overhead console-mounted auxiliary switches and numerous easy-to-use controls.

Furthermore, the Super Duty will be offered with a total of five trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum.

Lambo Huracan GT3 Is Ready For The Next Challenge!

Lamborghini Huracan GT3 will make its North American GT3 racing debut with confirmed entries into the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT Daytona (GTD) class in 2016. The official debut will be in the 24-Hours at Daytona on January 30-31 with numerous more teams that continue Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse’s tradition of customer support.

Lamborghini Motorsport program continues to build its racing ladder and what better opportunity to demonstrate its cababilities at the GT3 which is now, in fact, moved in North America. Furthermore, the GT3 program is the top step of the pyramid that includes Lamborghini Esperienza and Accademia and three Lambo Blancpain Super Trofeo vehicles. In fact, there are direct connections between two of the confirmed GT3 entries and the Lambo Blancpain Super Trofeo North America. Change Racing and O’Gara Motorsports will add Lamborghini Huracan GT3 programs in addition to the already existing Super Trofeo North America efforts in 2016.

In fact, O’Gara Motorsport team owner Tom O’Gara has also been involved with the Super Trofeo series in North America since 2013, but this is the first time for the team to participate as solo entrant.

And now the Huracan GT3 will be eligible for all GT3 racing in North America. It will be introduced in both North America and Asia, after having proven itself in Europe during the Blancpain Endurance Series with Grasser Racing Team where it won the season opener at Monza, Italy in April.

DMC Develops Stage 4 Program for Lambo Huracan that Gives it 1088HP!

Lamborghini Huracan Limited Edition LP1088 E-GT by DMC is a great example how a car that is regarded as perfection can strive for more. The tuners at DMC have been obviously busy creating a boost-kit for this Lambo, since it has brand new looks and power under the hood. Luckily, they didn’t change only the power output, but also the E-GT Huracan speeds up faster than before. Follow my thoughts if you want to know more.

Stage 4 Kit or the Limited Edition Lamborghini Huracan LP1088 E-GT by DMC

DMC LP1088 is a customization kit that is versatile in many aspects. First, it features a full body package that is so to say … very aggressive. Precisely, it adds in-house made bumpers, at the front and at the rear, which entirely replace the original ones.

At the sides, we see new skirts, while the back is adorned by a rear diffuser and those beautiful rear wings. To improve the handling further, DMC developed new spoiler, which is adjustable in three angles: GT Mode, Cruise Mode and Fun Mode.

Faster Than Before?

Of course it is faster than before! The twin turbo charged V10 produces 1,088 hp (800 kW) and 1000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. These numbers are the main reason for the better acceleration time for the 0-100 km/h sprint, which is now estimated at 2.69 seconds. The maximum speed is 345 km/h.

Interior

The interior of this particular Lambo isn’t shown in details in the gallery below. However, DMC has ensured us that interior features the softest Italian leather with custom stitching patterns, mixed with one-off carbon parts. There are also special floor mats with customer’s initials, custom pedals, door panels, central console as well as firewall modifications.

Wheels on Fire

DMC have chosen for the LP1088 project forged alloy wheels in the size of 9×20 and 12.5×21 inch at the front and rear respectively. Then, the alloys were shod with Pirelli P-Zero tires in the dimensions of 245/30R20 at the front and of 325/25R21 at the back.

Wonder if there will be more to see from DMC? Seems like they have surpassed any limitations.

2016 Volkswagen Passat And What it has to Offer

Volkswagen of America announced the debut of the 2016 Volkswagen Passat: the midsize sedan, especially crafted for America and its lifestyle. The vehicle was created in the state-of-the-art factory in Chattanooga, Tenn. and offers incredible blend of design, space, class-leading technology and flexible drivetrain system. So, let’s check out what else does it have to offer.

Style

2016 Passat offers sharper lines and overall aggressive appearance than its predecessor with the redesigned hood, fenders, grille, bumpers and LED head- and taillights. These changes and the chrome on the window surroundings, door trims further enhance the overall aggressive stance. And now, for the first time VW offers and the R-Line of the Passat. This is a sporty models that grants customers with special rocket panels, stylish front bumpers, modified rear diffuser and 19″ anthracite Salvador aluminum-alloy wheels.

On the other side, the inside of the 2016 Passat is further upgraded and now it looks more sophisticated and it is even wider. The cabin includes upgraded materials, new steering wheel and column stalk design, two-tone decor panels and refined chrome and piano black trim. The passengers will also benefit from heatable rear seats, while the driver will be granted with Easy-Open keyless access that opens the trunk via moving a foot near the rear of the car. Handy, right?

Technology

2016 Passat offers and VW’s second-generation “modular infotainment platform”, better known as MIB II. This system features touch screens as standard equipment for all models from the lineup. Furthermore, the MIB II also features a special proximity sensor that detects when a hand is nearby and automatically switches its display to ensure easier control and selection of specific features.

The latest VW vehicle will also offer a combination of new safety and drive assistance systems. For example, the Automatic Post-Collision Braking system will be part of the standard equipment for the 2016 Passat. It ensures that the kinetic energy is reduced to minimum after impact and decreases the risk of fatal injuries in this way.

Furthermore, depending on trim level, the 2016 Passat will offer Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Sport Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Parking Steering Assistance. And let us not forget the rear camera that will be geared on every single vehicle from the lineup.

Drivesystem

2016 Passat offers three powertrain options: the first one is the 1.8-liter turbocharged and direct-injected TSI 4-cylinder unit, the second one is a 2.0-liter TDI beast and the last one is a 3.6-liter VR6 eingine that produces a total of 280 hp (205 kW). This is one of the highest outputs in the midsize sedan class so far. Furthermore, the 1.8T has an EPA estimated highway economy rating of 38 mpg with the automatic gearbox.

HPerformance Imagines Audi TT RS Clubsport in a Very Nice Way

HPerformance Audi TT RS Clubsport is a project we couldn’t pass. The car not only looks amazing with its black ‘dress’ and purposeful stance, but also has more power than its stock siblings. This of course, brings it one step closer to the dream car of many (including me) with its 500+HP potency.

So basically the tuners at HPerformance, who are by the way from Germany, have specialized in hardware and software modifications for the AUDI 5 cylinder models. Their practice has also led them to optimizing the present car: the stunning Audi TT RS Clubsport. Let’s see the effects they have achieved on it.

HPerformance Tuning in Details

HPerformance has developed specific software for this Audi with the cool guys at MRT Performance. The uprate is ‘rated’ stage 5 and is supported by HPXT530 turbocharger, in-house made charge air cooler and 90 mm suction device with Ram air function.

Furthermore, the specialists have also installed plugs and high-pressure pump. As a matter of fact, due to the addition of 90 mm piping, the HPerformance Clubsport exhaust export version ‘screams’ like never before. The smart tuning for this TT RS includes new rollover bar, KW coilovers, Uniball strut towers and Mov’it racing brake system. The latter has 370×35 mm brake discs on the front and discs in 342×28 mm on the rear axle.

Enhanced Aerodynamics and End Result

In terms of aerodynamics, HPerformance has added big carbon-fiber Clubsport lip, lateral front flaps and a rear wing. As a result, the power output of the Audi TT RS Clubsport now reaches 510 HP (375 kW), while the optimum torque – 690 Nm (509 lb-ft).
