Fiat Reveals the Name of its New Compact Sedan

Fiat TIPO Front View Fiat’s new compact sedan is going to be called with the sonorous name TIPO. This particular name will be on all compact sedans in the EMEA region countries except for Turkey, where the project name is Ægea.

You might not know that the TIPO is a symbolic name for Fiat. It has been used by the company since its earliest days and it is now the time to make a strong comeback to the global market.

Just like the Ægea, Fiat TIPO has four-doors, reliable equipment and high performing and economical power units. Precisely, in its range there are two Multijet II turbo diesel engines and two petrol ones, with manual or automatic transmission and power ratings from 95 to 120 HP. All units are also extremely efficient and are rated as low as 4 liters of diesel for each 100 km (62 miles).

In terms of technology, Fiat TIPO comes with numerous technology tweaks, which enhance the driving experience and the overall pleasure of all passengers. For example, the compact sedan features Uconnect system, a 5-inch touch screen, a Bluetooth system, audio streaming and voice recognition.

As any other Fiat, TIPO is designed in Italy by the FCA Style Centre. It has been developed in Turkey with Tofaş R&D, and produced in the Tofaş plant in Bursa. Sales of the new compact sedan will begin in December this year. Later, they will be extended to the other EMEA region countries.

Legend Reborn: McLaren 650S Can-Am Will Again Rule the Track!

2016 McLaren 650S Can-Am Back in the ’60s and 70’s McLaren established itself as a leading force in one of the most extreme types of races, indeed the Cam-Am with winning five consecutive championships between 1967 and 1971. Impressive, right? And now, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the 1966 season, McLaren Special Operations (MSO) created a special lineup of 650s Can-Am models. The sweetie will be available for purchase in the Spring of 2016, exactly 50 years from the first race at Mont Tremblant, Canada. And being fully dedicated to the anniversary, the McLaren team will produce only 50 units.

In fact, the Can-Am series, or more precisely, the Canadian-American Challenge Cup series was a fierce battle around the most iconic circuits in North America and Canada. These races attracted the best drivers and even Graham Hill, John Surtees, Jackie Stewart and Bruce McLaren participated in the events.

In fact, key to the success of the Can-Am racers was the use of advanced technologies and components. The engineering team used mainly lightweight aluminum and mallite, along with carbon-fiber components for the MonoCell chassis. Furthermore, carbon material was also used for the bonnet, Airbrake, front splitter, rear bumper centre, door blades and more. MSO has also created and special lightweight forged alloy wheels, inspired by the 1960’s race era. The vehicles also include carbon-fiber louvered front wings and fresh quad-exit polished stainless steel exhaust system. Sweet, huh?

McLaren 650S Can-Am

And just like the original 650S Spider, the new-old machine is geared with the award-winning 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces a total of 641 hp (471 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. This combination takes the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) for mere three seconds and offers a top speed of 329 km/h (204 mph).

And when it comes to exterior colors, McLaren knows how it’s done. The launch color is a Mars Red, inspired by the M1B, raced by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon in the debut season. The second color is a Papaya Spark which gives that contemporary appearance and the last one is Onyx Black which is similar to the base color used by many of McLaren’s customers in later seasons.

2016 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe Cadillac ATS, CTS and Escalade are going to get as a standard additional dynamic driving performance to its range of features. At the moment is the start of the 2016 model year production and this means more benefits for these Cadillac models in terms of fuel-saving technologies. Precisely, they include Active Fuel Management and Automatic Stop/Start technologies and 8-speed transmission. They not only lift the fuel economy ratings, but also minimize the CO2 emissions, something regarded very important nowadays.

This is Cadillac’s absolutely new six-cylinder engine. Thanks to its Active Fuel Management or cylinder deactivation, it can switch from six-cylinder to four-cylinder operation. Furthermore, the V8 in the luxury SUV will shift to four-cylinder operation and so will do the high performance CTS-V sedan.

The ATS and the CTS can be also equipped with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. For the 2016 model year, this engine will also get the Automatic Start/Stop, or AutoStop, technology. How do there systems work: the reduce emissions and fuel consumption by automatically turning off the engine when the car is stationary. After the brake is released, the engine quickly and automatically resumes.

An Unique 1994 Ferrari F40 Looks For Its New Owner

1994 Ferrari F40 There is a special 1992 Ferrari F40 that has a top speed of 200 mph (360 km/h) that is personally approved by Enzo Ferrari himself that will go on sale online. This special vehicle will further join the headlining Richard Colton Collection 1960 2050 GT SWB and 1967 275 GTB/4 and 13 additional Ferrari vehicles that are highly collectable.

But there is something else special about this particular F40 machine. It is believed to be the only one that the factory authorised to have its interior trimmed in Connolly leather. It was purchased new by Francis John Connolly, the vehicle was used as a promotional car to showcase the brand’s products over Bentley, Aston Martin and of course, Ferrari automobiles.

The brand itself, Connolly is a long-standing supplier to Ferrari and was sanctioned to carry out modification and back in 2007 the vehicle was granted Ferrari Classiche certification. The F40 also offers a leather-covered fuse-box cover on which the Connolly stamp rest. Connolly used this vehicle, along with some Jaguar models on countless business trips across Europe.

Nowardays, this special model is offered with fully stamped service book and only 18,800 miles on the odometer. It is in top condition and will be offered by H&H along with the forebears for about $ 1,227,000 USD. Other Ferrari models on the sale include a red 1983 Ferrari 308 GTS QV and 1996 Ferrari 512 TR.

Skoda Introduces Combi ScoutLine to Fabia Range

Skoda Fabia Combi ScoutLine Front View Skoda Fabia Combi ScoutLine is the newest addition to the ScoutLine family. The model will be added to the range in early 2016. With its striking off-road appearance and distinctive plastic panelling as well as stylish alloy wheels, it is set to attract many new buyers.

Cadillac Debuts ATS-L Luxury Sport Sedan Next Week

Cadillac ATS-L Luxury Sport Sedan is going to be launched in China next week. The company highlights its three key features: the new 8-speed automatic transmission and start/stop system, the OnStar 4G LTE and the on-board Wi-Fi, and the compatibility with iOS-based Apple CarPlay.

Since it was revealed, the ATS-L has been praised for its excellent performance features. On first place is the 2.0L turbo SIDI engine, which has been selected as one of Ward’s 10 Best Engines. In addition, its performance oriented additions include sport-tuned rear-wheel drive, a Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) suspension and Brembo high-performance brakes. They all come as a standard across its full lineup.

Furthermore, the eight-speed automatic transmission and the start/stop function, make the model with better shifting responses as well as fuel efficiency.

But two of the most exclusive features here, which haven’t been added so far is the OnStar 4G LTE technology and on-board Car-Fi. They are included for the first time in a luxury sedan and allow users to connect to seven mobile devices within 700 square meters of the ATS-L. Thanks to its array of new features, Cadillac ATS-L is definitely going to make a very strong impression to the new customers in China. But as we can assume, given the addition of connectivity features, the main goal of the company is obviously to attract younger car buyers.

It is again based on a Land Rover vehicle, and this time under the spot is the Land Rover Defender 110 Double Cab Pick Up. In the work was also involved the Chelsea Truck Company, giving the Defender wider, luxurious and more menacing look.

This particular model has definitely this classic styling from the late 60s. Exactly this is what the tuner wanted to emphasize and thus it has painted it in Aintree Green. In addition, there are some extra equipment elements, which are not to underestimated.

POSAIDON Knows How Good 700HP Are for Mercedes-AMG GT S [VIDEO]

2015 POSAIDON Mercedes-AMG GT RS 700 Front View POSAIDON Mercedes-AMG GT RS 700 is another example for a team that has knowledge how to deal really well with a Mercedes-AMG GT or GT S! The tuning brand has lately become very popular with their work on these particular models and this unit is another example of their crazy-good work!

The classic sportscar is pretty good in its standard form, too. It is equipped with AMG’s 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 (M178) engine that produces 462 hp (340 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque in the GT variant, and 510 hp (375 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) in the GT S. These outputs relate to a Vmax of 304 km/h and 310 km/h, respectively.

The tuners at POSAIDON wanted something far more exciting for this car, knowing that it has hidden potential. And you will be amazed what they achieve.

If you enter the POSAIDON GT RS 700, it will offer you a full 700 hp, accompanied by 750 Nm of torque. Yes, this is exactly an addition of 190 hp and 100 Nm to the standard output of the GT S variant, and even better: 238 hp and 150 Nm to the GT version.

These new numbers makes it possible for the car to cover the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.2 seconds. The top speed has been also raised and it now reaches 349 km/h.

To make all this possible, the team applied its in-house turbocharger upgrade and increased the intercooler capacity. They even added a bespoke exhaust system featuring free-flow motorsport grade catalytic converters.

These converters connect directly to the revised turbochargers and it this way they have helped lower the backpressure. The next step is the ECU mapping for the engine and gearbox. It has been carefully calibrated on both the chassis dynamometer.

Blood Type Racing Reveals First Sketch of SEMA-Built Veloster Turbo

Blood Type Racing is known for their one-off Hyundai SEMA-built vehicles. As the auto event is coming near, we are to see more and more exciting projects. So, here it is the Blood Type Racing Hyundai Veloster Turbo R-Spec’s first sketch. The car is under preparation for this year’s SEMA show and as we can see from the image it has this sinister look and tough presence.

Sinister Appearance for the Exterior

It seems that this Veloster has switched over to the dark side, just in time for the next Star Wars series. So, let’s get into details with this car’s demanding look. First thing to mention is the amount of carbon fiber. The evil appearance of the car began with a “Carbon Black” paint job, accented with a red racing stripe running from the front splitter up onto the hood.

In addition, there is also a carbon fiber wide-body kit that is accompanied by front-mounted aero canards, front splitter and a rear deck spoiler. The trio also provides better down force at speed. Red accents on the custom SSR three-piece wheels, along with red projector “demon eye” headlamps are what make the car look that demonic.

Devil in the Engine

Under the hood of the car is the 1.6-liter “Gamma” four-cylinder. To make the car more harmonious with its exterior, BTR added to the engine new cylinder sleeves, a high-boost turbocharger from Garrett, and custom connecting rods and pistons. Using an ECU, the tuners managed to achieve more than 500 horsepower!

Exclusive Cabin

How about the interior? There are no sketches showing the work inside, however, BTR is saying that they have stripped it down and given it full, race-spec treatment with the addition of a four-point roll cage. They have also added Sabelt bucket seats, harnesses and steering wheel, along with audio upgrades from Rockford Fosgate and Tanabe OLED Revel gauges.
