Honda team begins production of new 2019 Passport machines!

New Honda Passport joins the award-winning SUV lineup and presents new features and improvements. There were more than 1,500 associates at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, LLC (HMA) that celebrated the start of mass production of the new 2019 Honda Passport SUV. Available for order early next year, Passport is produced exclusively at HMA and will play an important role in brand’s award-winning SUV lineup.

As you might well know, Passport was revealed last month at the Los Angeles Auto Show and is scheduled to be that niche model between the compact CR-V and the three-row Pilot in Honda’s lineup. Passport is produced in Alabama along with other members of the lineup – Pilot, Odyssey minivan and the innovative Ridgeline pickup truck. And by doing so – extending the SUV lineup – Honda has been recognized as the “Best SUV Brand” by US News & World Report for four consecutive years. In fact, Ridgeline was selected as 2017 North American Truck of the Year. Neat!

What is cool about the latest addition in the Honda SUV lineup is that Passport is based on Honda’s Global Light Truck platform and shares much of its underlying structure with the three-row Pilot SUV and Ridgeline pickup, including the highly rigid unibody construction.

Design

The design foundations of the new McLaren Spider incorporate organic forms and elegant lines. In fact, this new guy is heavily influenced by 2017 720S Coupe model – it combines maximum downforce, minimizes drag, enhances drivetrain cooling and optimizes aerodynamic performance. All this is packed within a sexy and bold body that expresses masculinity and aggressiveness.

And as all other McLaren machines, the new guy features numerous carbon-fiber components. Something more, all lightweight materials are further strengthened in order to ensure better body rigidity. Even the foldable roof and the windscreen A-pillars are reinforced in such a way that provide rollover protection for occupants. Neat! Overall, new 720S Spider is just 108lbs – this is less than 4 per cent heavier than the predecessor Coupe model. This slight increase in weight is due to the RHT and tonneau systems.

New family guy comes with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged McLaren V8 power unit that provides the massive 710hp and 568lb-ft of torque. Such refined system aids to phenomenal performance rates – the vehicle sprints from 0 to 100km/h in mere 2.8 seconds and from 0 to 200km/h in just 7.9 seconds. Top speed is measured at 381km/h.

Specification and personalization options

New 720S Spider is available in the same three specifications as the Coupe version, with Performance and Luxury trim levels extending above the standard equipment. There are two new colors – Belize Blue and Aztec Gold that have been introduced for new Spider along with other 23 color finishes, among which are the Supernova Silver – the heritage color, first available on Mclaren 12c. Chevy team announces details about the upcoming 2020 Silverado HD lineup

2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD 2020 Silverado HD will debut this February 2019 and will be the most capable and advanced in the lineup so far. At least, in Chevrolet’s own words. Built in Flint Assembly plant in Flint, Michigan, new family member will showcase sexy exterior design, blended with heavy-duty features. In fact, this will be the only Silverado vehicle to feature exclusive exterior components that aren’t present with previous models. In terms of interior, the vehicle benefits from similar exclusive and unique changes, including three additional inches of legroom on crew cab models and taller and more comfortable seating position.

Mercedes team reveals details for the new E-Class vehicles

2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class New E 300 is already available for order and Mercedes team shares specifications for the entry SE trim level. Following on the E 300 de, new E 300 e Saloon is the final machine in the lineup. Mercedes-Benz announces details about new B-Class lineup

2019 Mercedes-Benz B-Class B 220 d New Mercedes-Benz B-Class is already available to order! With relatively low starting prices and tons of advanced features, this bad boy has a lot to demonstrate! So, let’s check out what customers can get for their money.

First of all, there are three models that will be offered – B 180 Sport, B 200 d and B 220 d. Both of these use an agile and efficient OM654q power units. B 180 Sport and B 200 d are geared with a 1.3-liter petrol power unit with a total output of 134hp and 200Nm of torque, while B 220 comes with 161hp and 320Nm of torque for this enhanced driving experience. Furthermore, B 200 d and B 220 d are geared with an 8G-DCT 8-Speed automatic transmission, while B 180 comes with a 7G-DCT 7-Speed automatic gearbox as a standard feature.

Audi presents new e-tron Launch Edition model

2019 Hyundai Kona is named as one of the finalists at a prestigious event!

2019 Hyundai Kona Electric 2019 Hyundai Kona and Kona Electric CUV models were recognized as the top-three finalists for the 2019 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year by North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year automotive media jury. In fact, this is the first time that Hyundai model has been nominated for the final round of the Utility Vehicle of the Year category. Nissan reveals new LEAF NISMO RC sports car. Details here!

2019 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S hit the roads: here’s what to expect!

2019 Porsche 911 Carrera S Eighth generation of Porsche 911 is finally here! Faster, more advanced and fraught with cutting-edge technologies, new family member has a lot to demonstrate to both enthusiasts and critics. On the eve of LA Auto Show, Porsche team reveals a vehicle with a well-known and yet revised design, classic Porsche DNA and yet new features and this very same and menacing Porsche spirit.

New 911 comes with a choice of six turbocharged engines that deliver a total of 443hp for the S modes and benefit from improved injection process and new layout for turbochargers and intercoolers. Also, new powertrain units are mated to a revised eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox that is not only more efficient, but also contributes to improved power distribution and improved driving dynamics. There’s also a new Wet driving mode, which increase driver’s awareness on wet roads. In fact, drivers will also benefit from new Porsche Communication Management system with large 10.9-inch touchscreen design and new sporty seats. Cool!

Now, let’s talk about the engineering solutions, shall we?

The turbocharged flat-six engine is one of the most powerful to date and requires as little as 3.5-seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100km\h (62mph). This means that the new guy is 0.4 seconds faster than predecessors and 0.6, when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package. Top track speeds have been measured at 191mph for Carrera S and 190 for the AWD version. At the moment there’s no manual transmission option, but such will be added to the personalization list at later date.

Design and expression

Exterior body language remains true to its Porsche roots, but it is definitely different, compared to other 911 machines. There are way more wide wheel housings over large 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. The front is wider and more muscular, while the rear remains tight and clean, as one would expect from a premium sports car. new additions are the electric door handles, revised LED headlights, front luggage compartment lid with pronounced contours and wider rear spoiler for that seamless and elegant design.

In terms of interior styling, new Porsche 911 comes with straightforward cabin decoration – inspired form 1970s design ideas, new model offers two frameless displays, standard Porsche Connect Plus connectivity and more. The design concept is entirely focused towards the driver and features sporty seats, easy-to-operate dashboard and handy gadgets and tweaks.
