  • BMW i7 M70 xDrive

BMW M is launching a powerful all-electric performance model to lead the new BMW 7 Series range. It’s called the BMW i7 M70 xDrive and it’s the most powerful all-electric model in the BMW Group lineup, with a maximum output of 485 kW/660 hp. It has an electric motor on both the front and rear axles, which produces a driving experience that is unique in the luxury car segment. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

This new model is the third performance model with an all-electric drive system from BMW M, following the BMW i4 M50 and BMW iX M60. It marks another milestone for BMW M GmbH in its electric mobility transformation. The BMW i7 M70 xDrive will debut at the Auto Shanghai international motor show in China and will be built at the BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, which is the lead plant for luxury models and also the competence centre for electric drive system production. The global launch will start in the second half of 2023.

The luxury segment now features an all-electric BMW M Performance model.

BMW is continuously developing the fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology in the BMW i7 to improve power output and efficiency. This includes the powertrain, power electronics, high-voltage battery, and charging technology.

The BMW i7 M70 xDrive has integrated drive units on the front and rear axles that combine the electric motor, power electronics, and transmission in a compact housing. These units use an electrically excited synchronous motor, eliminating the need for rare earth metals in the rotor.

The most powerful BMW electric motor.

The BMW i7 M70 xDrive has an M-specific drive system that enables the rear-axle motor to achieve unprecedented power density. The drive unit has a six-phase design with a dual inverter that increases the peak output and provides power delivery characteristic of M models.

The motor’s power density of 2.41 kW/kg represents a 25.5% increase over the unit that drives the rear axle of the BMW i7 xDrive60, making it the company’s most powerful electric motor. This figure is due to a BMW Group-patented innovation that uses six excitation windings in the motor’s stator instead of the usual three.

This innovation allows the electric motor to generate a high output while maintaining its compact design and efficiency, making it far superior to a drive configuration using two motors at the rear axle. The resulting “double excitation” allows for continuous power output into the higher speed range.

The M Sport Boost function and M Launch Control are used to generate the highest possible power.

The BMW i7 M70 xDrive has a motor powering the rear axle that generates 360 kW/489 hp of peak output. The motor at the front axle generates 190 kW/258 hp. These two motors work together to create an electric all-wheel-drive set-up that generates a system torque of 1,015 Nm (748 lb-ft) in Sport mode and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) when the M Launch Control or M Sport Boost function is activated. The BMW i7 M70 xDrive is the fastest electric BMW model, reaching 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds, and has a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

The M Launch Control function integrates drive and traction control into the engine control unit, ensuring that the electric motors generate power precisely, allowing the drive system’s performance to be converted into acceleration instantly without any loss of traction. The M Sport Boost function is activated using the shift paddle on the left of the steering wheel and is displayed by Performance-specific graphics in the instrument cluster.

Additionally, the standard BMW IconicSounds Electric by Hans Zimmer provides a suitable acoustic accompaniment with a M Performance-specific note, whose character varies depending on the selected vehicle setting. In Sport mode, the sound is more powerful, giving a more intense experience of the drive system’s performance characteristics.

Extremely dynamic performance, excellent long-distance capabilities.

The BMW i7 M70 xDrive boasts impressive performance and is also designed for long-distance driving. The drive units are highly efficient and power consumption is reduced through measures such as adaptive recuperation of braking energy and heat pump technology. In the WLTP test cycle, the BMW i7 M70 xDrive consumes 20.8 to 23.8 kWh of electricity per 100 km.

The battery has a high energy density of 101.7 kWh and is located under the vehicle. This gives the BMW i7 M70 xDrive a range of 488-560 km (303-348 miles, WLTP cycle), making it suitable for everyday use. The Combined Charging Unit has advanced charging software for faster and more efficient charging. The BMW i7 M70 xDrive can be charged at up to 22 kW with AC charging and up to 195 kW with DC charging, extending the range by up to 170 km (106 miles, WLTP) in just ten minutes at a high-power charging station.

MAX RANGE operating mode: extra range at the push of a button.

To increase the car’s range while driving, a MAX RANGE mode has been introduced in the new BMW 7 Series. In this mode, the top speed and drive power are limited, and comfort functions are reduced, resulting in a range increase of 15 to 25 per cent. The MAX RANGE mode was created for situations where drivers can’t recharge the battery as originally planned. The top speed is restricted to 90 km/h (56 mph), and climate control and seat heating are disabled. A popup window appears on the control display, showing the increased range. MAX RANGE mode can be activated using the touchscreen, controller, voice commands, or can be deactivated by hard acceleration or switching windscreen ventilation to maximum.

Powertrain and chassis technology in an M-specific application.

The BMW i7 M70 xDrive offers exceptional performance thanks to its powerful drive system and advanced chassis technology that has been fine-tuned for M-specific performance. The electric all-wheel drive, steering, dampers and driving stability systems are all controlled by M-specific application, ensuring the best driving characteristics in any situation. The BMW i7 M70 xDrive offers sporty handling, high comfort and a quiet drive system that allows passengers to enjoy a comfortable ride. When the driver wants to explore the sportier side of the vehicle, the My Mode Sport feature activates powertrain and chassis settings that deliver an exhilarating driving experience.

The BMW i7 M70 xDrive comes with M-specific adaptive two-axle air suspension with electronically controlled dampers, automatic self-levelling, M-specific air springs, and M-specific hydraulics to optimise damper response. Additionally, there is an additional shear panel between the bulkhead and spring strut towers that increases body rigidity at the front end of the car. • Porsche Cayenne

Porsche has made significant improvements to its luxury SUV, the Cayenne, with a new digital display and control system, advanced chassis technology, and cutting-edge features. Michael Schätzle, the Vice President of Product Line Cayenne, calls it one of the most comprehensive product upgrades in Porsche’s history. The Cayenne now features HD Matrix LED Headlights that adjust to different driving situations, an air quality system that cleanses the interior air, and a new infotainment display for front passengers to stream videos. With its upgraded design and more powerful engines, the Cayenne aims to be the sportiest car in its segment.

    Porsche Driver Experience

Porsche has updated the display and control concept in the new Cayenne, with a focus on the driver’s axis and optimising operation. The lever behind the steering wheel has additional functions for operating the driver assistance systems, and the automatic transmission selector lever is on the dashboard. The cockpit includes a fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster with variable display options, an optimised head-up display, and a 12.3-inch central Porsche Communication Management display. There is also a 10.9-inch display for the passenger side, which provides access to the infotainment system controls and the option of streaming video content on the road.

    Refined design

The new Cayenne boasts an eye-catching appearance, featuring a redesigned front end, more pronounced wings, a new hood, and technically advanced headlights, all highlighting the vehicle’s width. The rear end of the Cayenne has three-dimensional taillights, clean surfaces, and a new rear apron with an integrated number plate holder. The new colour palette includes three new colours, and the car comes with a range of 20, 21, and 22-inch wheels, allowing for individual configuration.

The new Cayenne is equipped with standard Matrix LED Headlights, with the HD Matrix LED Headlights being an optional feature. These lights are innovative with over 32,000 pixels per headlamp, and their advanced technology picks out other users on the road and blocks the high beam to prevent dazzling. The brightness of the modules can be regulated in over 1,000 steps depending on the driving situation.

The new Cayenne now features an air quality system that detects tunnel entrances and automatically activates air recirculation, and a sensor that detects the level of fine dust particles in the air and filters it if necessary. An ioniser removes germs and pollutants, providing benefits for allergy sufferers.

Additionally, the new Cayenne is equipped with a comprehensive range of new and improved assistance systems, including the active speed limiter, swerve assist, cornering assist, and Porsche InnoDrive as part of the adaptive cruise control, making it even safer in hazardous situations and traffic jams on motorways and main roads.

Make the range between ride comfort and performance higher.

Porsche has now made available for the Cayenne a steel spring suspension that comes with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as a standard feature. The shock absorbers of the new suspension have two valves, which allow for separate rebound and compression stages and better performance in all driving situations. The comfort, handling and support during cornering, pitch, and roll have also been improved. Porsche offers an adaptive air suspension with two-chamber, two-valve technology that further enhances the driving experience. This improves the suspension characteristics, vehicle stability, on-road, and off-road handling compared to both the standard suspension and the previous model. Additionally, the adaptive air suspension enhances driving precision, performance, and reduces body movements during dynamic driving. The suspension has three driving modes to choose from: Normal, Sport, and Sport Plus.

The new hybrid model boasts increased power and a range of up to 90 kilometers on electric power.

The new Cayenne has three engine versions in Europe. The V6 engine in the previous Cayenne S has been replaced with a refined four-litre V8 biturbo engine. It has a maximum output of 349 KW (474 PS) and a torque of 600 Nm, which is 25 kW (34 PS) and 50 Nm more than its predecessor. It accelerates both the SUV and the SUV Coupé to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 273 km/h. The entry-level Cayenne has a three-litre V6 turbo engine that generates 260 kW (353 PS) and 500 Nm, which is 10 kW (13 PS) and 50 Nm more than before.

The Cayenne E-Hybrid’s powertrain is based on the six-cylinder engine, paired with a new electric motor that has been enhanced by 30 kW to 130 kW (176 PS). This leads to an increased combined output of 346 kW (470 PS). The E-Hybrid has a high-voltage battery that has been expanded from 17.9 kWh to 25.9 kWh, which enables a purely electric range of up to 90 kilometres according to WLTP. The new 11 kW on-board charger shortens the charging time to less than two and a half hours, regardless of the increased battery capacity. Additionally, the optimized e-hybrid driving modes increase the efficiency of the vehicle during the trip.

In most Porsche markets outside the EU, the Turbo GT is the top model in the Cayenne range, specifically designed for maximum on-road performance. It comes exclusively as a coupe and incorporates all the optimizations and innovations of the series. The four-liter V8 biturbo engine of the Turbo GT now delivers an increased output of 485 kW (659 PS) with an additional 14 kW (19 PS). With this power, the Cayenne Turbo GT can go from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 305 km/h.

  • Lancia Pu+Ra HPE Concept

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is an all-electric car with a range of over 700 km, takes little more than 10 minutes to charge and consumes less than 10 kWh of energy per 100 km. The car is a result of collaboration with Cassina, a leader in the luxury furniture industry, to provide an Italian “home feeling” experience.

The Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is equipped with the S.A.L.A. virtual interface, which will also be featured in the new Ypsilon. As a result, Lancia will be the first Stellantis brand to use Chameleon and TAPE (Tailored Predictive Experience) technologies, allowing the audio, climate control, and lighting functions to be controlled with a touch of a button or the sound of one’s voice.

    Exterior design

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is an electric car that evolved from Lancia Pu+Ra Zero and was inspired by a three-dimensional sculpture from last November. It embodies the brand’s new design language with pure and radical design, combining elementary forms and iconic shapes like circles and triangles. Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is an eco-sustainable, exciting, and evolved car with a progressive green color that symbolizes sustainability and looks ahead to the future of the brand. The fluid lateral lines recall the Aurelia and Flaminia models, while the rear design references the iconic round lights of the Lancia Stratos. The front grille has been reinterpreted with three rays of light, and the circular roof provides a broad, panoramic view. The innovative roof and rear window emphasize natural light and recall the concept of “home feeling”.

    Lancia and Cassina

Lancia and Cassina are continuing their partnership, combining their excellence in their respective fields of automotive and furniture design. Cassina is using its almost 100 years of know-how and expertise to transfer its experience to the automotive sector, focusing on shared values such as Italian spirit, innovation, tradition, and respect for the environment.

The Lancia concept car is designed with Italian Design and cultural contamination in mind, taking inspiration from certain pieces of furniture that set the tone of a home and creating genuine domestic spaces. This shared journey between Lancia and Cassina is guided by “The Cassina Perspective”, a unique code of excellence in design that combines the most innovative products with icons of modernity to create welcoming and eclectic environments.

The starting point for this design was certain furnishings that set the tone of a home, such as upholstered items in the living room, a multifunctional coffee table, and a warm carpet that immediately creates a homely environment, with great importance given to the color and consistency of the materials.

    The interior

The interiors of Lancia Pu+Ra HPE are designed with the brand’s new, pure and radical design language, which uses iconic and simple shapes, different from typical automotive language.

Inside the concept car, there is an eclectic space with a contemporary home atmosphere, featuring fluid architecture with attention to detail in the overall composition of pure forms.

The design inspiration for Italian furniture is visible in the round carpet and the front seats. The latter are modeled after the Maralunga armchairs by Vico Magistretti for Cassina, with unique proportions and a bold chromatic figure.

Pure geometric forms are further expressed in the new round tables, center console, and dashboard, which is based on a single piece of round glass with clear cuts.

The large windows allow natural light to flood the passenger compartment, creating a warm and welcoming environment, like a typical Italian home. The blinds are reminiscent of the Lancia Beta HPE and architecture, projecting natural lights and shade while also acting as a luminous element of technology that interacts with S.A.L.A. and its functions.

    Sustainability by Lancia

Lancia combines sustainability and style, calling it Sustylenability. The Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is the first 100% electric car to showcase this vision for the brand’s future, with every aspect designed to reflect an elegant and sustainable “home feeling” in the interior. The car’s refined interior features sustainable materials from Italian brands, with 70% of touchable surfaces made from eco-friendly materials.

The brand’s path to sustainability is guided by four values: reinterpretation of tradition, Italian spirit, eclecticism, and “home feeling.” Reinterpreting tradition means using sustainable materials to redesign Lancia’s tradition with innovative, recycled, and recyclable materials. This is seen in the car’s seats, upholstered with ocher velvet with GreenGuard® certification, made in collaboration with Cassina.

Italian spirit means using materials that symbolize Italian excellence, such as MARM\MORE, a material made of up to 50% waste from marble dust, recycled fabric, and produced using natural colors, soft to the touch, and waterproof. Eclecticism means drawing inspiration from a range of fields, not strictly related to automotive, such as the iconic table made from M49 BioAcetate Renew™ Mazzucchelli.

Creating a “home feeling” means making customers feel at home every time they get into the car. The Lancia Pu+Ra HPE features a natural wool carpet, a handmade item created with no waste, and a warm, comfortable velvety nubuck from Poltrona Frau. The car’s rear shelf is made with an “upcycled raw material” in partnership with Tabu and their “Biodiversity” collection of inlaid wood.

    The electrification strategy

Lancia is following Stellantis’ electrification plan by launching the New Ypsilon in 2024, available in both hybrid and electric versions. By 2026, they will only launch 100% electric cars, and starting from 2028, they will exclusively sell electric models, coinciding with the arrival of the new Delta.

The Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is a practical and efficient 100% electric car that defines the brand’s vision for the next decade. It offers superior performance in terms of range, charging time, and efficiency.

Lancia has a history of producing innovative models in three major automotive classes: city cars, flagships, and compact sedans. They plan to continue this legacy by offering the best of all three segments in their new cars. These models will use Stellantis platforms and target a European customer base known as “progressive classic influencers”. These customers value timeless elegance, Italian spirit, innovation, and a comfortable driving experience.

Made with technology modules taken from the New Ypsilon, Lancia Pu+Ra HPE concept car is the manifesto for the next 10 years of the brand, providing a vision of the cars of the future in terms of:

    • a range of over 700 km
    • charging time of just over 10 minutes
    • energy consumption below 10 kWh per 100 km
    • a series of aerodynamic features: low roof, slim digital wing mirrors, aerodynamic wheels, three front protection plates, and aerodynamics

    “Effortless Technology by Lancia”

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE aims to provide a simple, user-friendly experience for customers, with technology that is intuitive and welcoming.

Effortless Technology is based on the Sound Air Light Augmentation (S.A.L.A.) system, which combines audio, climate control, and lighting functions in a minimal and intelligent virtual interface. Drivers and passengers can adjust the car’s interior environment by pressing a button or even using their voice.

S.A.L.A. will allow customers to choose among three onboard modes:

    • Immersive, to amplify the driving experience thanks to Stellantis Chameleon technology that will debut for the first time on a car and is able to “adapt” the atmosphere of the passenger compartment, according to the external environment, adjusting the sound, air and light accordingly.
    • Wellbeing, thanks to the support of Stellantis Artificial Intelligence, TAPE (Tailored Predictive Experience) anticipates the varying moods of the driver and passengers, improving their wellbeing thanks to a better atmosphere on board.
    • Entertainment, to take advantage of any waiting times, offering the possibility to stream a movie, play a video game or browse social networks.

The S.A.L.A. interface will debut in the New Ypsilon as a Lancia first. As technology platforms evolve, S.A.L.A. will also advance and adapt to provide a complete and immersive experience. This will allow each brand to personalize features for their models.

  • Polestar 4

Polestar has revealed the Polestar 4, an electric performance SUV coupé, which is the second SUV in the company’s lineup. The vehicle merges the aerodynamics of a coupé with the space of an SUV, creating a new category of SUV coupé. The design features, which were first introduced in Polestar’s concept cars, have now been included in the fastest production car to date. The Polestar 4 will sit between Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 in terms of size and price. Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath, said that the company took a new approach to SUV coupé design, prioritizing rear occupant comfort and experience, rather than merely modifying an existing SUV.

    Design

Polestar 4 is a design-focused brand, and its design follows the Polestar Precept concept car, which includes removing the rear window to provide an immersive rear occupant experience. The front lights have a unique Polestar light signature, complemented by the Polestar emblem with millimetre-precision lighting from below. The low nose, retractable door handles, flush glazing with frameless windows, rear aero blades, and air flow optimization around the rear light bar enhance aerodynamic efficiency.

The car is built on the premium Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) developed by Geely Holding. It’s a D-segment SUV coupe with a large body, long 2,999 mm wheelbase, 4,839 mm overall length, 2,139 mm width, and 1,544 mm height. The spacious interior, especially the rear seats, has reclining seats and adjustable ambient lighting inspired by the solar system, providing a personalized driving environment.

The full-length glass roof is standard, and it’s available with optional electrochromic functionality that allows for opaque or transparent execution, depending on the mood. The glass roof extends beyond the rear occupants’ heads due to the lack of a rear window, creating a unique interior ambiance. A secondary media and climate control screen is placed between the front seats to enable rear occupant control. The rear-view mirror is replaced by a high-definition screen showing a real-time feed from a roof-mounted rear camera, providing a wider field of view than most modern cars.

Maximilian Missoni, Head of Design at Polestar, says that the Polestar Precept removed the rear window and pushed the rear header further back, providing an immersive rear occupant experience in their SUV coupe.

The materials and color choices for Polestar 4 are inspired by the fashion and sportswear industries, and the theme of “soft tech” is used throughout. It offers new executions for Polestar, such as the new exterior colors Storm and Electron, and a unique new interior color, Mist.

    Sustainability

Polestar 4 uses circular and low-carbon materials instead of traditional solutions. The company is also increasing supply chain transparency by using blockchain traceability for risk materials in the batteries. In 2024, a full lifecycle assessment (LCA) that shows the car’s real carbon footprint will be published with the Polestar 4 Product Sustainability Declaration.

A mono-material approach is used in the interior materials. All layers of certain components are produced from the same base material, making them easier to recycle without the need to separate incompatible materials. The new interior materials include a tailored knit textile made from 100% recycled PET, bio-attributed MicroTech vinyl, and animal welfare-secured Nappa leather.

The tailored knit upholstery is a new technique created by Polestar designers and the Swedish School of Textiles, made to fit without producing any offcuts or waste. Inlay carpets are made from recycled PET, while floor carpets use ECONYL that includes reclaimed fishing nets. Door trim panels are made from natural fibre polypropylene, resulting in up to 50% less virgin plastic and a weight saving of up to 40%. MicroTech is a bio-attributed vinyl that replaces crude oil with pine oil in its construction and has a recycled textile backing.

    Performance

Polestar 4 is the brand’s fastest production car ever made. It can reach 0-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds and has a maximum power output of 400 kW (544 hp). The motors are designed as permanent magnets, synchronous. The driving dynamics provide a thrilling experience with sharp steering and handling responses. Both single and dual motor versions will be available, with the single-motor version featuring rear-wheel drive.

The car features a 102 kWh battery with a preliminary range target of up to 350 miles WLTP. All versions have up to 200 kW DC and 22 kW AC charging, and the charge lid is motorised. The Long range Dual motor version has a disconnect clutch which maximizes efficiency by disengaging the front electric motor when not needed. The car also includes a heat pump for cabin and battery preconditioning.

The Long range Dual motor version has a new drive optimisation function that allows the driver to select between range or performance driving modes. Performance mode engages both motors for full power delivery, while range mode prioritises efficiency and uses only the rear motor. The Long range Single motor version has a preliminary range target of up to 372 miles WLTP.

The car has a semi-active suspension in the dual-motor version, with wheels ranging from 20 to 22 inches and tyres supplied by Pirelli and Michelin. The car has bi-directional charging with a vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability at launch, allowing external devices to draw power from Polestar 4. The car ensures control and confidence at all times, producing a responsible and everyday-enjoyable EV experience.

    Technology

Polestar is constantly advancing technology in their cars to make them more fun, connected, and autonomous. The infotainment system in the Polestar 4 uses a 15.4-inch screen and is powered by Android Automotive OS and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play are built-in for a seamless connected experience, and Polestar works closely with Google to push the system’s capabilities further.

For those who love high-quality audio, a Harman Kardon audio system with 12 speakers and a 1,400-Watt channel-hybrid amplifier is available as an option. The Nappa Pack offers an additional two headrest speakers for each front seat, making a total of 16 speakers. Of course, Apple CarPlay is also included.

Just like all other Polestar cars, the Polestar 4 receives regular over-the-air (OTA) updates that provide new features and improvements remotely to all vehicles. This means that there is no need to visit a workshop to get the latest software.

    Safety

Polestar 4 prioritizes safety, which is ingrained in its DNA through its association with Volvo Cars. The car is equipped with advanced safety technology that meets the rigorous standards of other Polestar models. It includes up to nine airbags and intelligent safety features from Mobileye, such as the SuperVision Advanced Driver Assistance System.

The car is equipped with a driver monitoring camera that tracks the driver’s head and eye movements to detect signs of fatigue or incapacitation. This, along with hands-on detection in the steering wheel, ensures that the driver stays alert while driving.

The car’s dashboard has a 10.2-inch display that shows speed, battery, and range information. A virtual display can also show other road users, current driving assistance functions, and navigation information. To reduce distraction, the car has a head-up display (HUD) that projects important information onto the windshield.

The car’s optional Pilot Pack includes enhanced Pilot Assist with lane change assistance, which is initiated by the driver tapping the indicator stalk in the desired direction.

    Equipment packs

Polestar’s standard car specifications are impressive, and there are additional packages available to tailor specific options for an enhanced driving experience. The Plus Pack provides comfort and technology upgrades, while the Plus Pro Pack offers a color-matched body design, electrochromic glass roof, and additional interior lighting. The Nappa Pack can be added to the Plus Pack and includes animal-friendly Nappa leather seats with ventilation, massage, and extra headrest speakers for the front seats.

The Pilot Pack comes with Pilot Assist and extended features. For those seeking a sportier driving experience, the Performance Pack increases performance and features a Long Range Dual Motor version with 22-inch wheels, 4-piston Brembo brakes, Polestar Engineered performance chassis tuning, and Swedish gold details for the brakes, seat belts, and valve caps.

Bentley celebrates its sixth victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the race’s centenary with a limited edition collection of Continental GT Coupés and Continental GTC’s. The Le Mans Collection offers unique features inside and out, echoing the design of the Speed 8 #7 that won in 2003. This heartfelt tribute is a collaboration between Bentley and its personal commissioning division, Mulliner.

    Exterior

Mulliner’s designers studied the winning Speed 8 of 2003 to create the Le Mans Collection. Each of the Continental GT’s and Continental GTC’s in the collection is finished in Verdant green, with a Moonbeam racing stripe across the bonnet (and Coupé roof). The Blackline specification pays homage to the black and green livery of the Speed 8, while the carbon-fibre Styling specification body components are finished in black with a subtle pinstripe in Moonbeam. The lower front bumper, wing mirror caps, and rear ‘horseshoe’ area beneath the bootlid spoiler are all in Beluga black. The cars also feature black 22-inch ten-spoke wheels covering carbon ceramic brakes and red brake calipers.

    Interior

The interiors of the Le Mans Collection Continental GT and Continental GTC are luxurious and sporty. The bespoke 2003 wreath welcome lamp greets passengers into a cockpit trimmed in Beluga hide. Performance-bred napped Dynamica fabric covers the seat faces, while contrast seat stitching and seatbelts in Hotspur add relief to the interior’s monochrome color scheme. The steering wheel, trimmed in hide and Dynamica, features Hotspur contrast stitching and a six o’clock accent tab.

The dual-finish veneer on the fascia and door waist rails are Piano Black and high-gloss carbon fiber, with a fine chrome pinstripe separating the two. The pinstripe flows seamlessly from one side to the other, a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship in every Bentley.

    Bespoke Details

The Le Mans Collection Bentleys are replete with bespoke details. Speed 8 sill plates and six-wreath treadplates greet occupants on entering the interior. The fascia displays the six-wreath emblem inlaid into high-gloss carbon fiber, marking each of the six outright victories recorded by Bentley at Le Mans between 1924 and 2003.

    Performance

The Le Mans Collection Continental GT and GTC boast Bentley’s renowned 6.0-litre W12 TSI engine, delivering 659 PS (650 bhp) and an extraordinary 900 Nm (664 lb.ft) of torque. With exceptional handling, this results in a top speed of 208 mph (335 km/h) and 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds). The limited edition features Bentley Dynamic Ride and three-chamber active air suspension with adaptive damping, providing a formidable foundation to build upon. The new Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Variable Electronic Stability Control, All Wheel Steering, and an Electronic Limited Slip Differential give this collection of ultimate Grand Tourers a level of agility, performance, and ride quality as expected from a car with such heritage.
