  • BRABUS 900 DEEP BLUE Mercedes-AMG G63

BRABUS built the BRABUS 900 DEEP BLUE in Bottrop using the latest Mercedes-AMG G 63. They gave the bodywork a custom “DEEP BLUE” paint finish, which was specially developed for BRABUS and inspired by the deep sea. The paint job includes all chrome and plastic components on the body.

The supercar’s appearance is characterized by the BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody version, which makes the latest G-Class model look more massive and ten centimeters (4 in) wider than the base vehicle. The bodywork also includes special fascias for the front and rear, which give the car a sporty appearance. Carbon elements such as the hood cowl, radiator grille surround, side air vents, exterior mirror housings, and rear wing complete the athletic outfit.

The BRABUS designers paid attention to detail, even with the BRABUS 900 logos at the rear, which were adorned with carbon inlays.

The hi-tech 24-inch wheels on the DEEP BLUE supercar fit perfectly within the BRABUS WIDESTAR fender flares. The ten-spoke rims are the forged BRABUS Monoblock Z “PLATINUM EDITION” and are painted high-gloss black. The front wheels, which are 10Jx24 in size and have 295/30 ZR 24 high-performance tires, make full use of the widened wheel arches. The rear axle has 12Jx24 rims with 355/25 ZR 24 tires.

BRABUS worked with KW to develop the BRABUS Ride Control aluminum coilover suspension, which is specifically designed for high-performance street tires. The front-axle struts and rear-axle shock absorbers with integrated heat sinks are milled from a solid piece. The ride height of the supercar can be lowered up to 45 millimeters (1.8 in) and the damping can be set to comfortable or sporty using the Dynamic Select switch in the cockpit.

BRABUS is known for their high-performance engines, and the BRABUS 900 DEEP BLUE is no exception. Its BRABUS 900 ROCKET V8 twin-turbo engine produces an impressive 231 kW / 315 hp (310 bhp) more than the stock engine of the G 63, showcasing BRABUS’ commitment to power, torque, and durability.

To achieve more power, BRABUS increases the cylinder volume of the eight-cylinder, four-valve engine from 3,982 cc to 4,407 cc by enlarging the cylinder bore to 84 millimeters (3.3 in) and using accordingly sized forged pistons. The stroke is lengthened to exactly 100 millimeters (3.9 in) with a precision-balanced, billet custom crankshaft and forged high-performance connecting rods.

The turbocharging system is also extensively revised to realize the intended power increase. Two special BRABUS turbochargers with larger compressor unit and special core assembly with reinforced axial bearing produce a peak boost pressure of 1.4 bar. Two custom BRABUS BoostXtra valves provide a thrilling blow-off noise when the driver lifts off the gas.

BRABUS modified the engine’s downpipes, increasing their diameter to 76 millimeters and adding metal catalysts. The stainless-steel exhaust system has two tailpipes on each side of the vehicle, and a carbon fiber embellisher surrounds them with an integrated red ROCKET Launch Ambience Light. The active sound management system produces an exciting V8 engine sound that can be switched between a loud ‘Sport’ mode and a quieter ‘Coming Home’ mode with the push of a button on the center console.

The intake system of the powerful engine was significantly modified to ensure sufficient air supply. Special high-pressure pumps were installed to optimize fuel supply. The V8 engine was visually enhanced by a BRABUS engine cover made from red carbon.

The BRABUS power unit engineers and electronics specialists conducted thorough bench tests and test drives to achieve outstanding performance, exemplary smooth-running, maximum durability, and emission figures that comply with the strict EURO VI+ emissions standards. To ensure maximum operational reliability, BRABUS exclusively uses MOTUL high-performance lubricants.

The extensive development work that went into the BRABUS 900 ROCKET EDITION is evident in its exceptional performance. It boasts an impressive output of 662 kW / 900 hp (888 bhp) at a low 6,200 rpm, as well as a massive torque of 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) available at just 2,900 rpm, making it a leader in its class. However, to protect the drivetrain, the peak torque in the vehicle is limited electronically to 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft).

These impressive numbers mean that the more than 2.5 metric tons all-wheel-drive SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds, delivering sports car performance. The top speed is electronically limited to 280 km/h (174 mph) to protect the tires.

The automotive refinement specialist’s interior designers created an exclusive BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior for this supercar. It features slate grey leather highlighted with blue BRABUS labels and elements such as controls, air vents, speaker grilles, and surrounds, which also have blue glazing.

The exquisite interior appointments show the attention to detail invested in the work of the BRABUS upholstery shop. For instance, the seat surfaces and parts of the door panels have precise, shell-shaped quilting, and the leather sections are perforated with pinpoint precision. The floor mats and trunk, which is also covered in the finest leather, have the same quilting pattern.

The sporty nature of the BRABUS 900 DEEP BLUE is accentuated by carbon surrounds and handles in the cockpit with a high-gloss, sealed finish. The exclusive elements in the interior include aluminum pedals and door lock pins with blue glazing, carbon scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo that changes colors according to the ambient lighting, and special BRABUS door hinges that allow wider opening for easier access to the rear seats. The car is priced at 499,000 euros (excluding 19 percent VAT) for export from Germany.

  • Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness

Today, Subaru of America introduced the latest member of its Wilderness family, the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness, at the New York International Auto Show. The car combines Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and an updated drivetrain with standard X-MODE, a high 9.3-inch ground clearance, and exclusive body cladding, making it the most robust and trail-ready Crosstrek to date.

In addition to its already impressive standard features, the Crosstrek Wilderness has unique mechanical, design, and functional upgrades that increase its ability to handle off-road conditions. Crucially, the new model maintains the Crosstrek’s well-known blend of SUV capability and a smooth car-like ride and handling. The Crosstrek Wilderness is also outfitted with various interior and exterior details that make it particularly suitable for carrying outdoor equipment, even when wet or muddy.

The Crosstrek Wilderness has a 2.5-liter direct-injection SUBARU BOXER® engine that produces 182 hp and 176 lb-ft of torque. To enhance the car’s off-road performance, Subaru updated the drivetrain by installing a revised differential gear ratio and retuned Lineartronic CVT. The new 4.111 final drive ratio (compared to 3.700) improves the SUV’s ability to climb, and the updated CVT tuning optimizes traction on slippery surfaces and at low speeds. Additionally, the car’s maximum towing capacity has more than doubled to 3,500 lbs. because of the transmission oil cooler addition.

The Wilderness and other 2024 Crosstrek models come with Subaru’s EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, which has won awards. The tech includes Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, and Lead Vehicle Start Alert. The new model also has Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert as standard features.

The Crosstrek Wilderness has Automatic Emergency Steering as a standard feature, which works with EyeSight and Blind-Spot Detection to help with steering control and prevent collisions at speeds under 50 mph. The car also comes with Standard Reverse Automatic Braking, which provides additional safety in narrow trail situations and while parking.

Design + Function = Unique Wilderness Style

The Crosstrek Wilderness design combines style and function to create a rugged appearance that catches attention. To showcase its improved off-road performance, the car has an exclusive look with new front and rear bumpers, a bold hexagonal front grille, larger wheel arch cladding, a metal front skid plate, unique hex-design LED fog lights, and an anti-glare hood decal with a matte-black finish.

The car has Subaru Wilderness badges on the front doors and rear gate. It also has a body-color roof spoiler and black side mirrors with integrated turn signals that complement the SUV’s tough look. The car comes in several colors, including the exclusive Geyser Blue for the Wilderness family.

The Crosstrek Wilderness has a versatile ladder-type roof rack system that can carry up to 176 lbs. dynamically and 700 lbs. statically, making it safe for larger rooftop tents. The roof rail design allows for flexibility in fitting various carrying accessories, including Genuine Subaru Accessories from Subaru retailers.

    Off-Road Capability

The 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness has exclusive suspension components that give it a 9.3-inch ground clearance, which is over half an inch higher than the other Crosstrek models that are already among the highest in their segment. Longer coil springs and shock absorbers provide the added ground clearance while special tuning maintains the car’s dynamic performance.

Longer travel strokes for the front and rear shock absorbers help improve vehicle stability on rough surfaces. The car also has a longer dampening compression stroke that helps absorb shock on rough road surfaces for a smoother ride. Despite the increased ground clearance, the Crosstrek Wilderness still has a low step-in height for easy entry.

The Wilderness model of the 2024 Crosstrek increases approach angle from 18.0 to 20.0 degrees, departure angle from 30.1 to 33.0 degrees, and ramp breakover angle from 19.7 to 21.1 degrees. The SUV also features Yokohama GEOLANDAR® all-terrain tires that are mounted on exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels in matte-black finish and have raised white letters. These tires provide optimal performance in mud, gravel, or snow.

    X-MODE for Maximum Control

Subaru’s driver-selectable dual-function X-MODE comes standard on the Crosstrek Wilderness. The system includes Snow / Dirt and Deep Snow / Mud modes, which optimize the engine output and CVT ratio positions, increase the Active All-Wheel Drive engagement, and enhance the control logic of the Vehicle Dynamics Control with Traction Control System. The X-MODE display also includes a Roll-Angle Indicator to help the driver assess potentially hazardous situations.

When the X-MODE system is turned on, the Crosstrek Wilderness becomes a nimble climber. The Low Speed / Low Ratio Gradient Control senses when the vehicle is moving at low speed on a steep incline and shifts the CVT to its lowest ratio (4.066:1). With the Wilderness model’s lower differential ratios, this system enhances rough off-pavement, low-speed drivability over rocks and other situations that require repeated on/off accelerator usage.

The vehicle also comes with standard Hill Descent Control that will engage individual wheel braking on downgrades when driven under 12 mph with less than 10 percent pressure on the accelerator pedal. This helps control vehicle speed. All 2024 Crosstrek models come with Active Torque Vectoring, which improves handling stability on both road and trail.

An Interior designed for the Outdoors

Subaru designed the Crosstrek Wilderness interior with both comfort and durability in mind. The seats are upholstered in Subaru StarTex®, a water-resistant material featuring the Subaru Wilderness logo embossed in the front headrests. Bold copper colored contrast stitching accents the interior, matching the anodized copper-finish accents on the shifter, gauge meter rings and leather-wrapped steering wheel. The driver is greeted with a Wilderness logo displayed in the meter at start-up.

The black pillar trim, assist grips, overhead console, and headliner are paired with Gunmetal Grey trim on the dash, doors, and shifter plate. All-weather floor mats feature a unique Wilderness design. The cargo area includes a removable, water-resistant tray to protect the load floor from wet and muddy gear. Additionally, an LED light on the rear gate provides better nighttime visibility.

The Crosstrek Wilderness has the SUBARU STARLINK 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system as standard. It features a high-resolution 11.6-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay® and wireless Android Auto™ with full-screen display. Other features include Bluetooth® hands-free phone and audio streaming connectivity, AM/FM stereo, rear vision camera, SiriusXM® All-Access Radio, SiriusXM Travel Link® (4-month free Platinum Plan), HD Radio®, and over-the-air updates.

The multimedia system also doubles as a center information display with on-screen controls for vehicle functions. Additionally, the Wilderness comes with a wireless phone charger located in the center console.

    Competitively Priced Adventure Compact SUV

The Crosstrek Wilderness is priced at $31,995 and includes many standard features. These features consist of Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, SI-Drive engine performance management system, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System with individual tire display. The SUV also has USB-A and USB-C ports, dual-zone automatic climate control, and the All-Weather Package with heated front seats, windshield and exterior mirrors. Additionally, the vehicle has steering responsive LED headlights.

You can add an available option package to the Crosstrek Wilderness for $2,270, which includes a Power Moonroof, 10-way power driver seat with 2-way lumbar support, and a Harman Kardon® 10-speaker system with 432-watt equivalent amplifier.

The 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness will be available at Subaru dealerships starting in the fall. It will be manufactured at Subaru of Indiana Automotive in Lafayette, Indiana, along with the other Crosstrek models, Ascent, Legacy, and Outback.

  • Volkswagen Atlas Peak Edition

Volkswagen of America, Inc. will showcase the 2024 Atlas Peak Edition trimline at the New York International Auto Show. The design draws inspiration from the Basecamp Concept presented in 2019. Body cladding elements give a tougher overland appearance, and black-out detailing and a unique interior palette enhance the 2024 Atlas family’s aesthetics.

Peak Edition models of the Atlas have a distinctive front fascia and silver underbody cladding. The lower fascia has a gloss-black “X” design element borrowed from the Atlas Cross Sport. The grille is mostly blacked-out, with two chrome strips that stand out and flow to the illuminated logo.

On the side of the vehicle, there is a large gloss-black badge with the Peak Edition logo in orange and chrome on the front quarter panel. The Atlas has 18-inch black alloy wheels with 255/60 all-terrain tires, making it more versatile. The side sills in black and silver also contribute to the rugged appearance. Additionally, the black-out look is complete with black mirror caps, window surround, wheel arches, and roof rails.

The rear of the Atlas has a black tailgate strip that connects with a rugged black and silver diffuser featuring chrome exhaust bezels. The Peak Edition models have two new exterior colors that are exclusive to the Atlas family: Avocado Green and Pure Grey.

Peak Edition models have a unique interior that uses colors from the logo. The seats are Titan Black leatherette with light grey accents and orange contrast stitching. The dash and door inserts have a black metallic check pattern that differentiates the Peak Edition from the other Atlas models. The steering wheel clip has the same logo as the exterior badging, and the ambient lighting has 30 color choices that pair with innovative backlit dash décor that reads “Peak Edition.”

The 2024 Atlas lineup will include the Peak Edition trimline, which will be fully detailed closer to its launch this summer.

Zero Emission Freedom: 4xe is the new 4×4

For two years in a row, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe remains the best-selling PHEV in the United States. The 2024 Wrangler 4xe is another step towards the Jeep brand’s goal of Zero Emission Freedom and becoming the greenest SUV brand worldwide by manufacturing capable and sustainable Jeep SUVs.

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe lineup, together with a variety of electrified powertrains, will aid the Jeep brand in achieving the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan. By 2030, 50% of Jeep sales in the United States will be battery-electric vehicles, and all Jeep vehicles in Europe will be fully electric. The entire North American Jeep lineup will be electrified by the end of 2025. The objective is to reduce Stellantis’ global carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and achieve net carbon zero by 2038 while leading the transportation sector.

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler offers the broadest range of powertrain choices in the premium off-road category. With options ranging from the 49 MPGe electrified 4xe plug-in hybrid to the V-8-powered 470-horsepower Rubicon 392, the Wrangler provides customers with the freedom to choose the best propulsion system to suit their lifestyle.

The 4xe lineup, high-performance Rubicon 392, and 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine all come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the 3.6-liter gas engine offers both a six-speed manual transmission and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

    • 2.0-liter turbocharged PHEV 4xe: 375 horsepower, 470 lb.-ft. of torque
    • 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine: 270 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque
    • 3.6-liter V-6: 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque
    • 6.4-liter V-8: 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque

Thanks to its incredible features, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler delivers unparalleled off-road capability, making it the most capable SUV ever without any compromise.

    • Four advanced 4×4 systems:
      • Command-Trac part-time transfer case
      • Rock-Trac part-time transfer case
      • Rock-Trac full-time transfer case
      • Selec-Trac full-time transfer case
    • Unmatched crawl ratios of up to 100:1
    • Water fording of up to 34 inches
    • Uncompromising approach, departure and breakover angles and ground clearance:
      • Approach angle: 47.4 degrees
      • Breakover angle: 27.8 degrees
      • Departure angle: 40.4 degrees
      • Ground clearance: 12.9 inches

Every Wrangler model boasts a Trail Rated badge, indicating an unparalleled spec list that includes two-speed transfer case, solid front and rear axles, four-wheel disc brakes, traction control, tow hooks (two front, one rear), four skid plates, and a minimum tire size of 32 inches. The 2024 Wrangler raises the bar with upgraded features such as the all-new next-generation Dana 44 HD full-float rear axle on Rubicon models, standard rear locker and 33-inch tires on Willys, and the new Rubicon X model with standard 35-inch tires, integrated off-road camera and steel bumpers. With the 2024 Wrangler, customers can get full-float axles directly from the factory, which are typically found on heavy-duty commercial trucks. The Rubicon’s first full-float rear axle design includes a wheel hub assembly separate from the axle shaft, with a spindle bolted to the axle tube that supports the wheel hub via a pair of wheel bearings.

The full-float axle design transfers the vehicle’s weight to the axle tube rather than the axle shaft, which only transmits power to the wheel hub, resulting in only torsional loads on the axle shaft. The stronger, more durable full-float construction allows for a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds on Rubicon 2.0-liter and 3.6-liter automatic models.

The Wrangler Rubicon’s impressive off-road capabilities are due to a comprehensive list of off-road features that include:

    • First Dana 44 HD full-float solid rear axle
    • Rock-Trac part-time transfer case with 4:1 4LO ratio
    • Electronic front sway-bar disconnect
    • Tru-Lok front- and rear-axle lockers
    • 17-inch aluminum wheels with 33-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires

The Rubicon X, which is a more high-end version of the Rubicon, includes:

    • Rock-Trac full-time transfer case
    • Integrated off-road camera
    • Steel bumpers
    • Xtreme 35 Package with beadlock-capable wheels and 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires (2.0-liter and 3.6-liter automatic powertrains)

The 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 392, now with 470 horsepower, includes standard features such as the Xtreme 35 Package, 4.56 axle ratio and Selec-Trac full-time transfer case with 4LO ratio of 2.72:1. Additionally, the 2024 Rubicon models offer a factory-installed Warn winch with an 8,000-pound-capacity, mounted in a steel front bumper with removable end caps.

In 2024, the Wrangler Willys enhances its 4×4 capability by including a Tru-Lok rear locker, steel rock rails, trailer tow, and heavy-duty electrical group as standard. Additionally, the vehicle now comes with larger 33-inch tires instead of the previous 32-inch ones. Furthermore, the Willys 4xe is equipped with a Selec-Trac full-time transfer case with a 4LO ratio of 2.72:1.

The Wrangler High Altitude is back for 2024 with new features like Sky One-Touch powertop, 12-way power and heated front seats, integrated front camera and Selec-Trac full-time transfer case. It also has a unique look with 20-inch wheels and body-color bumpers. High Altitude models introduce the exclusive new Mantis Green interior color on the instrument panel mid bolster and Nappa leather seats.

The new 2024 Wrangler has a body-on-frame design and a five-link suspension system, which provides incredible capability, refined on-road dynamics and advanced safety features. To protect vital vehicle components while on the trail, Wrangler has four skid plates. Willys and Rubicon models have tubular steel rock rails to prevent potential body damage on the trail.

To reduce weight and improve fuel efficiency, the Wrangler uses lightweight aluminum closures, such as the doors, hinges, hood, fender flares, windshield frame, and magnesium swing gate.

The 2024 Wrangler still uses the dependable five-link coil suspension system, with the front suspension featuring two upper and two lower high-strength steel control arms for longitudinal control, and a cross car track bar for lateral axle control. The five-link rear suspension has a similar setup with two upper and two lower high-strength steel control arms for longitudinal axle control, and a track bar for lateral axle control.

The front and rear full-width high-strength steel track bars keep the axle from moving laterally during suspension travel, with minimal angle change. The shocks are calibrated to balance on-road handling with off-road capability, providing excellent ride comfort, body-roll control, and dynamic handling. Additionally, Rubicon models feature an electronic front sway-bar disconnect for extra wheel travel when necessary.
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler prioritizes safety with over 85 active and passive safety and security features available. Standard features include front and side airbags, while second-row outboard seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters have been added for 2024. Sport S and above models now come with forward collision warning and advanced cruise control with stop as standard. Blind-spot and cross-path detection and ParkSense rear park-assist system come standard on some models and are available on others. All models come with a ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, traction control, and electronic stability control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation.

Iconic Jeep Wrangler design: New grille, wheel designs and multiple open-air freedom options

The design of the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler is based on the iconic sculptural style of traditional Jeep design. The updated seven-slot grille of the 2024 Wrangler features black textured slots, neutral gray metallic bezels, and body-color surround. The grille’s vertical slots are now slimmer and allow for the factory-installed Warn winch. The previous steel mast antenna has been replaced with a new trail-ready stealth antenna integrated into the front windshield. There are ten new wheel designs, ranging from 17 to 20 inches in diameter, with tire sizes from 32 to 35 inches, and some wheels are beadlock-capable. Multiple open-air freedom options, including a premium soft-top, two hardtops, Sky One-Touch powertop, Sunrider for Hardtop, and dual-door group with half doors, provide many different door, top, and windshield combinations for customers to customize their off-road adventure.

The 2024 Wrangler comes in 10 exterior colors, including a new color called Anvil. Its interior has premium features and technology with Jeep functionality and versatility. The center stack is inspired by heritage and has a clean design that matches the horizontal dashboard. The dashboard has soft-touch surfaces with contrast accent stitching, and new AMPS bracket provisions are featured on top. All models have improved hands-free voice recognition. The High Altitude, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392 have a standard premium cabin package that includes thicker carpet and additional sound deadening foam in the windshield header, front cowl, and B-pillars for a quieter ride.

The center stack of the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler has a large 12.3-inch touchscreen that includes the fifth-generation Uconnect 5 system. The new display is the largest and most advanced ever offered on a Wrangler.

The Uconnect 5 system operates five times faster than the previous generation and runs on an Android operating system that enables over-the-air updates. This system offers more connected services and features, and it continuously evolves to provide new content and services.

Advanced propulsion systems combine power and efficiency

    4xe

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe powertrain combines a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, two electric motors, and a 400-volt battery pack to provide maximum efficiency for the hybrid propulsion components. This powertrain delivers an impressive 49 MPGe and up to 21 miles of pure-electric operation, making it the most advanced powertrain ever developed for a Jeep Wrangler.

Moreover, all Wrangler 4xe models come equipped with a Jeep 4xe Power Box that has four 120-volt outlets capable of outputting 30 amps of power, allowing the battery pack to charge external devices such as tablets and phones. This feature is new for the 2024 model year.

The following components of the Wrangler 4xe powertrain produce 375 horsepower (280 kW), 470 lb.-ft. (637 Nm) of torque, and 49 MPGe:

    1. 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4
    2. Engine-mounted motor generator unit
    3. Transmission-mounted motor generator unit integrated into eight-speed automatic transmission
    4. 400-volt, 17-kWh, 96-cell lithium-ion, nickel manganese cobalt battery pack

The driver can customize the hybrid powertrain of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe using its E Selec modes to suit different types of trips, such as pure-electric operation for daily commutes, city driving or off-road exploration.

    • Hybrid:In the default mode, the powertrain combines the torque from the 2.0-liter engine and electric motor. This mode prioritizes the use of battery power before adding propulsion from the 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 when the battery reaches a minimum state of charge.
    • Electric: The powertrain uses only electric power with zero emissions until the battery charge drops to its minimum or the driver wants more torque. When the driver requests more torque, such as when pressing the throttle fully, the 2.0-liter engine is activated.
    • eSave:This mode prioritizes using the 2.0-liter engine for power and saves the battery charge for later use in situations like EV off-roading or urban areas where using an internal combustion engine is limited. During eSave, the driver can also choose between Battery Save and Battery Charge through the Hybrid Electric Pages in the Uconnect monitor.

    2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine

The standard eight-speed automatic transmission mates to the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with engine stop-start (ESS), which is rated at 270 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine uses a twin-scroll, low-inertia turbocharger with an electronically actuated waste gate and features a turbo mounted directly to the cylinder head for improved durability. A dedicated cooling circuit lowers the temperature of the intake air, throttle body and turbocharger. The 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine meets SULEV 30 emissions standards and features Double Overhead Camshafts (DOHC), dual independent camshaft timing, and a cooled exhaust gas recirculation (C-EGR) system, allowing for high performance and lower fuel consumption.

    3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine
The 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine comes with ESS as standard equipment and is designed to offer a wide torque range with a focus on low-end torque, which is essential for extreme off-roading. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission by default, but an optional eight-speed automatic transmission is available.

    6.4-liter V-8 engine

The 6.4-liter V-8 engine is specifically designed for the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 and produces 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine delivers impressive performance with almost 75% of peak torque available just above engine idle speed, allowing for a 4.5-second 0-60 mph time and steep grade crawling. The V-8 engine features a cast iron cylinder block, aluminum heads, active intake manifold, variable camshaft timing, twin spark plugs per cylinder, sodium-filled exhaust valves, hollow-stem intake valves, and piston oil cooling jets. Additionally, the Wrangler Rubicon 392 engine is equipped with a rear-sump oil pan, high-mount alternator, and free-flowing exhaust manifolds.

The Fuel Saver Technology with cylinder deactivation switches to four-cylinder mode during light engine loads to save fuel. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 has a high-performance pump that keeps the V-8 engine fueled even under extreme conditions. The functional hood scoop provides the engine with cool outside air for better performance. The Hydro-Guide air intake system ensures the V-8 engine gets fresh air in any terrain and weather. The system features a tri-level ducting system and a one-way drain that separates water from the engine’s incoming air, allowing the Wrangler Rubicon 392 to cross water up to 34 inches deep without worries.

The standard active dual-mode exhaust produces a unique and exciting sound by opening valves in the exhaust system under high engine loads to reduce pressure. Drivers can also activate the system with a button, and the dual-pipe performance exhaust features distinctive quad tailpipes.

The TorqueFlite 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission offers high torque capacity for quick and smooth gear changes in both normal and performance driving situations.

  • NOVITEC Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae

NOVITEC upgraded the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae with custom carbon aerodynamic-enhancement components that were designed to match the car’s active aerodynamics in the wind tunnel. The car also received 20-inch and 21-inch NL4 centerlock forged wheels made by Vossen, NOVITEC sports springs for improved handling, and NOVITEC sports exhaust systems that optimize the car’s sound and performance while reducing weight by up to 19 kilograms. Finally, owners can have NOVITEC customize the interior of their coupe or roadster to their liking.

NOVITEC created naked-carbon components to give the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae a sportier appearance, while also conducting wind tunnel testing to ensure optimal aerodynamic functionality. The front fascia now features additional spoilers above and below the air intakes, and tailor-made surrounds for the side intakes to improve airflow to the front brakes. The NOVITEC trunk lid includes integral air ducts that reduce front-axle lift for improved handling stability at high speeds. The NOVITEC face also includes longer air vents at the top of the front hood.

NOVITEC created a sportier side view for the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae by adding rocker panel trim in front of the rear wheel arches, extending the air intakes at the side windows forward, and adding air intakes on the rear quarter panels for improved engine airflow. Owners can also opt for a NOVITEC rear wing in two different versions for a more extravagant look. NOVITEC partnered with Vossen, a Miami-based company specializing in exclusive wheel production, to create tailor-made alloys that maximize space under the wheel arches.

For the LP 780-4 Ultimae, NOVITEC chose the NL4 design wheel with centerlock fastening and six delicate spokes that taper off into the edge of the rim in the shape of a broad Y. This style complements the bodywork and taillights of the Aventador. Despite their strength and large size (9Jx20 at the front and 13Jx21 on the rear axle), the wheels are lightweight. They come in a choice of 72 colors and can be combined with a brushed or polished surface finish for individuality. The wheels feature high-performance tires of sizes 255/30 ZR 20 and 355/25 ZR 21.

NOVITEC’s sports springs improve the handling and appearance of the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae. By lowering the ride height, the car’s handling is optimized, and it looks more exciting. The drop is approximately 35 millimeters.

The Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae’s 6.5-liter twelve-cylinder engine with 574 kW / 780 hp and 720 Nm of torque is not modified by NOVITEC. However, the NOVITEC sports exhaust systems give the engine a more thrilling exhaust note, which can be controlled using electronically controlled butterfly valves. Made of stainless steel and insulated against heat loss, the exhaust systems allow the V12 engine to breathe better and optimize its performance. They can also save up to 19 kilograms in weight compared to the standard system.

In addition, NOVITEC provides a wide range of exclusive interior appointments for all Lamborghini Aventador models, available in various colors with excellent craftsmanship.

  • Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept

The Jeep design team received a great response for the Tuscadero exterior paint color used in the 2021 Jeep Wrangler models. Therefore, they decided to make it even more impressive. They aimed to make the color appear tougher than before.

As a result, they created the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe concept, which combines the powerful electrified off-road capability with a bold and unapologetic color palette, making it a perfect platform for any adventure.

The Jeep concept has a striking pink-colored exterior with Gloss Black accents on the front grille and headlamp bezels. The signature seven-slot grille is from the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary model and has a custom hood graphic with a tone-on-tone print that connects with the interior theme.

The interior of the Jeep concept follows the same tough theme. The custom leather seats have magenta accents under the animal print surface. Glossy black patent leather and metal grommets add extra style to the seats. The magenta color is also found on the door pulls, grab handles, gear shift, and transfer case shifter boots. The highlight of the interior is a black patent leather dash panel with a zipper trim that conceals a layer of pink velvet.

To enhance the off-road capability of the vehicle, an AccuAir air suspension kit has been added. This kit can be adjusted to provide enough space for the large 37-inch tires that are mounted on custom 17-inch high-gloss black American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) Borah wheels. The vehicle is also equipped with front and rear bumpers, differential covers, and a Warn Zeon winch, all from AEV.

The Sideburn Gladiator concept has a open-air feel that’s even better with the JPP half doors. Plus, JPP side steps and grab handles make it easy to get into the elevated cabin.

The open cabin has seats, armrests, shift boots, parking brake handle, and half-door pull straps that are covered in a dark red-brown Vienesse Relicate Nappa leather with Soul-stopper thread accents. The thread accents are also on the top pad of the instrument panel and steering wheel.

The custom instrument panel bezels on the Sideburn Gladiator concept have a 3D topographical map of Moab scenery, finished in matte-black with gloss dark-silver trails. Other accents in the cabin are painted with Atomic Silver matte paint.

Stainless-steel JPP pedal covers give traction for off-roading, and a concept JPP heavy-duty vinyl floor system (specifically for the JT Gladiator model) with built-in floor drains make it easy to hose out the interior.

  • Jeep Cherokee 1978 4xe Concept

This year’s Resto-mod concept build is inspired by a trip down memory lane. In 1974, the Jeep Cherokee (SJ) was introduced as a sporty, two-door version of the Wagoneer. It had bucket seats, a sports steering wheel, and racy detailing aimed at attracting younger, adventurous drivers.

The following year, the Wide-Track option became available with significant enhancements such as exterior stripes, bigger tires, 3-inch wider axles, larger front and rear wheel cutouts, and Dana 44 front and rear axles. The interior also got upgraded with more luxurious features.

Now, we have arrived at the present day of this journey celebrating concept vehicles. To honor the Jeep Cherokee SJ – the pioneering SUV with both on- and off-road capabilities – the Jeep design team aimed to modernize the legendary full-size SUV with a fresh approach.

The Jeep Cherokee 4xe concept started as a 1978 Jeep Cherokee, which was artfully combined with a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. The aim was to elevate the performance of the original Jeep Cherokee SJ, and this philosophy is reflected in the design of this concept vehicle.

They extensively altered the original body, blending the classic proportions with a colorful 1970s-inspired paint scheme. At first glance, the ’78 Jeep Cherokee 4xe concept resembles an old Jeep Cherokee SJ, but it has been converted into a contemporary, electrified, off-road powerhouse.

The ’78 Jeep Cherokee 4xe concept has a powerful Jeep Wrangler 4xe powertrain, which includes two electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack, and a high-tech 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine. It offers a distinctive on- and off-road driving experience. The power is transmitted to 37-inch tires on custom 17-inch “slotted mag” style wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 4:1 transfer case, providing ample power.

The custom interior of the ’78 Jeep Cherokee 4xe concept showcases low-back leather bucket seats. A four-point safety cage replaced the rear bench seat, and a full-size spare tire is stored in the rear cargo area in case of any extreme off-road adventures.

  • Jeep Scrambler 392 Concept

The Jeep Scrambler (CJ-8) was the first compact truck with a convertible top introduced in 1981. It was highly capable and versatile, similar to the CJ-7 but with a longer 103-inch wheelbase and extended rear overhang for more cargo space.

The Jeep Scrambler 392 concept is a modern take on the CJ-8 with a powerful upgrade. Unlike the original CJ-8, the concept features a 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 engine that delivers 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Jeep Scrambler 392 concept began as a four-door Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and now has custom carbon fiber bodywork to increase its off-road capabilities. The new two-door design includes a lowered roof and a laid-back windshield, giving it a unique look that pays tribute to hotrods with chopped tops. Plus, it maintains its open-air personality.

The Jeep Scrambler 392 concept comes with an AccuAir air suspension kit for the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator, allowing drivers to adjust the suspension lift from 1.5 inches up to 5.5 inches. This can be done through an in-cab controller or long-range Bluetooth on a wireless device, making it highly customizable.

The rear quarter panel of the Jeep Scrambler 392 concept is sculpted to highlight the wider rear flares and door aperture. The bodywork is updated with a new carbon-fiber hood, front fender flare, and a tinted clear insert on the hood to showcase the powerful engine. The concept also has custom lightweight front and rear bumpers and new fender flares for added clearance for larger tires and wheels.

The Jeep Scrambler 392 concept has custom 20-inch rims and 40-inch tires, with tow hooks and rims finished in Brass Monkey paint. It’s painted in Sublime green on the outside, and the interior features custom seats with plaid blue inserts and green stitching.
