DIG-T 163 Is the Latest Powerplant Unit, available With Nissan X-Trail Lineup

Nissan X-trail customers and fans be better prepared for good news! A latest edition of DIG-T engine comes our way! It is called DIG-T 163 and it will not only offer some improved fuel efficiency, but it will also be more affordable. How cool is that?

The engine is already available to order and offers 1.6-liters, four cylinders and turbocharger petrol system. Now the fuel consumption measured at 45.6 mpg, while the CO2 emissions are measured at 145g/km. And when it comes to performance, the latest X-Trail DIG-T 163 goes from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.7 seconds and has a top speed of 223 km/h (124 mph). With this said, the latest DIG-T unit happens to be the most powerful among all the lineup.

The DIG-T also offers an advanced turbocharged technology, that features wonderful performance and economy with its 163 hp (119 kW) at 5,600 rpm and 240Nm of torque between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm. It will be paired to a six-speed manual transmission. In fact, Nissan team tries to demonstrate, that customers do not need a large capacity to deliver high amounts of power and flexibility. But we will check that out.

Furthermore, the DIG-T 163 comes also with a Start/Stop ignition system, that delivers smooth and pleasurable driving experience. We all know, that when it comes to driving, Nissan engineers know what they are doing.

1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera Seeks its New Owner!

1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera will be offered for sale at the Mecum Daytime Auction in Monterey August 13-15. What is special about this Porsche is that it is the last special order by The King of Cool Steve McQueen. After he passed away back in 1980, the 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera remains the last of his own vehicles, that are a special order. The other good news is that part of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to McQueen’s alma mater.

As you might know, Steve McQueen had some serious passion for fine automobiles and high speed. And he demonstrated it one more time with the 1976 Porsche. The vehicle can produce a total of 234 hp (172 kW) at 5,500 RPM. All this produced by a special non-intercooled 3.0-liter engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. In fact, the whole powerplant system was a special order from Bob Smith Porsche in Hollywood. Furthermore, McQueen had and some specific orders. For example. he specified, that the car be delivered with special Slate Gray finish and a sunroof, dual mirrors and black sport seats. The interesting news is, that this specifications and this particular Porsche vehicle were only the start of what McQueen had in mind.

1976 Porsche 930 was a desirable car and in fact, McQueen wasn’t the only owner of the sweet Turbo. The vehicle also passed through some notable Hollywood success movie producers and actors: Floyd Mutrux and singer Dean Martin’s son Dean Paul Martin.

And with all its original extensive service records, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, original manual and original tools, the 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera looks really appealing for future owners. In fact, the buyer will not only take the historic monster, but will also give back something to a school, that changed the life of numerous troubled youth, including McQeen’s.

In fact, these alloys have been specifically machined for the Huracan. The process which the specialists are using allow for a custom width and offset, and therefore for more individual appeal. In addition, the wheels look fantastic in this Piano Black finish that perfectly contrasts the poison green exterior color of the Lambo.

More Power?

Since Klässen iD is a company which puts an emphasis mainly on wheels, the car did not receive any other changes, including the engine. This means that the 5.2 liter V10 keeps its production 610 horsepower (448 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque.

The engine is linked to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system. Of course, this will still allow Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 to cover the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint in 3.2 seconds, and the 0-200 km/h in 9.9 seconds, running after a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).

Mercedes-AMG Uprates CLA 45, CLA 45 Shooting Brake and GLA 45

2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG Front View Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC, CLA 45 4MATIC Shooting Brake and GLA 45 4MATIC models are now getting significant updates. The improved vehicles will enter dealerships in September, so if you have decided onto buying one, you should consider waiting a couple of months. The upgrades are fantastic and they are regarding the appearance, driving engagement and powertrains.

A 45 4MATIC as an Example

The recently enhanced A 45 4MATIC AMG serves as an example of the changes regarding the other three. As a reminder, the A-Class is powered by an uprated AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which now generates 381 hp (280 kW). This is an increase of 21 hp (15 kW). In addition, the optimum torque was improved with 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) to 475 Nm (351 lb-ft).

Car’s performance levels are even better due to the revised gear-ratio 7-speed dual clutch transmission as well as the innovative DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes. Regarding the driving dynamics, extras here include AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension and AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package. So this is basically what we will find on the other three Mercedes-AMG models.

How Changes Affect the Performance of the Trio

Having in mind all of the updates, we can also expect from the trio better performance, can’t we? So, starting with the CLA 45 4MATIC, it will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. Compared to the previous generation, this is 0.4 seconds faster.

When it comes to its Shooting Brake version, the acceleration time is 4.3 seconds. The Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 is slower than previous two, with 0-100km/h run covered in 4.4 seconds.

Due to sophisticated technology, Mercedes managed to keep the consumption levels unchanged from the previous models. Precisely, the CLA 45 4MATIC and Shooting Brake need 6.9 litres per 100 kilometres, emitting only 161 g/km of CO2. The The GLA 45 4MATIC consumes 7.4 l/100 km and has corresponding to 172 g/km CO2.

If you after all have decided to wait two months and buy the new versions of these jewels, then it will cost you this: €56,673.75 for the CLA 45 4MATIC, €57,268.75 for the CLA 45 4MATIC Shooting Brake and €56,168.00 for the GLA 45 4MATIC.

McLaren 675LT Makes Dynamic Debut. See it! [VIDEO]

McLaren 675LT Front View McLaren 675LT was officially revealed back in February after a long teaser campaign. Since summer days are more for outdoors experiences, McLaren decided to unleash the supercar on the track. Fortunately, everything was captured on a video, so you and I are now lucky and can view it. This is a memorable video, since its shows a lot of the performance capabilities of the 675LT. What is more, this is actually car’s debut on the track, which makes everything even more impressive.

Fast Facts about McLaren 675LT

As you know, McLaren 675LT is the lightest by far and most powerful vehicle the company has ever produced for the Super Series. It is also the most track-focused one. You might ask why this is so? Well, the reasons are many, but the most important ones are the following: first the 675LT has been aerodynamically optimized and lightweight, meaning that it mainly built from carbon fiber.

This material has been used everywhere: from the front splitter and the big active ‘Longtail’ Airbrake, right to the carbon fiber-shelled bucket seats inside. As a result 675LT achieves a dry weight of just 1,230kg.

The aero-credentials of the car are also fortified by the aerodynamics that also focuses on driver’s engagement. As a matter of fact, in the video below you will find that the track-focused dynamics are highlighted further as the Napier Green model is demonstrated in each of its three handling and powertrain modes.

The exhilarating performance of the car is due to the powerful 3.8-litre V8 twin turbo engine producing 675PS (666bhp). It is also responsible for the mighty sound. Well, here also helps the titanium crossover exhaust.

Lightweight and powerful, the car is actually fully road legal. It is capable of covering the 0-100km/h acceleration time in 2.9 seconds. The 200 km/h barrier is broken in 7.9 seconds, focusing on the next goal – the 330 km/h top speed and going beyond it.

Mazda BT-50 Comes Refreshed And Restyled. Check it Out!

Mazda BT-50 is finally announced for production. In fact, Japan-Mazda Motor Corporation started the production yesterday at the Thailand Auto Alliance plant. Mazda’s plans are to refresh and introduce the model later this year, starting with Thailand and Australia.

Mazda BT-50 made numerous changes in the thinking of what a truck should look like. As you might remember, BT-50 was firstly introduced in 2011 as an “active lifestyle vehicle” and offered a modern and dynamic style. And since then the vehicle gained incredible popularity. And no wonder: it offers wonderful driving performance and comfortable interior. And let’s not forget the extended cargo space, that is ideal for personal and business needs. The BT-50 really can be of use for extended list of purposes, including family vacations and some more complicated activities.

In fact, Mazda BT-50 remains versatile and practical. This, along with the wonderful driving experience and the more sportier character define the latest guy in the family. Now, the latest BT-50 comes with some slight exterior restyles, including tweaked front face, rear details and different aluminum wheels. And along with the exterior, the interior has also received attention. Now the cabin is especially designed to bring that high-quality feel. And there are and some technical additions: a rear view camera is incorporated. But sadly, the powertrain didn’t have any changes. Well, the old one isn’t bad at all, but we all expected some tweaks here and there.

So, at the end we get a beautifully restyled Mazda car, that comes with elegant lines, stylish additions and tweaks, along with numerous additions. Mazda BT-50 surely will remain one of the most famous Mazda vehicles. And no wonder: it has everything to make one fall in love. 2016 Kia Soul EV Prepares for Summer With Additional Features

2016 Kia Soul EV is the first mass-produced zero emission Kia vehicle, that uses electricity for its needs. And for 2016 Kia offers and some additional packs. To be precise, there are three of them: Soul EV-e, Soul EV and Soul EV+. In fact, the Soul model (that suspiciously looks like a MINI vehicle) has extended list of additions and furthermore every trim has its own additional offerings. For example, the EV+ trim, the range-topping pack, is further extended and now also offers Sun & Fun pack. Further enhancements include a charge port nozzle lock, illuminated Aux/USB port and two additional colors: Shadow Black and Bright Silver.

2016 Kia Soul EV

The Soul EV-e now provides versatility and good price, while the features of the standard equipment are still with that superior quality. The EV trims also include 8-inch navigation touch screen, Rear Camera Display3 and UVO EV Services2: a special system, that searches charging stations via user’s Smartphone.

And for2016 Soul EV+ comes with the special addition of Sun & Fun. It adds panoramic sunroof, LED interior lightning and speaker lights, There are also ventilated front passenger seats, heated rear seats, leather trimmed seats, Park Assist and folding mirrors.

But the technical goodies aren’t the only one, incorporated in the Soul range. The vehicles also include some improved performance tweaks. For example, the whole lineup offers and EPA of 93 miles and EPA MPGe of 92 miles highway and 120 miles city. The heart of the lineup is a state-of-the-art 27kWh air-cooled, 200-watt-hour/kg Lithium Ion Polymer battery, placed just under the floor.

In fact, the Soul EV vehicles have been honored with a special validation from Underwriters Laboratory (UL) for the innovative use of 52.7 lbs. of bio-based organic interior content. How cool is that? Furthermore, the bio-based materials are used in a total of 19 different interior parts.

There Are Significant Updates for 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500… That We Fail to See

2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 features bolder looks, with more sculpted exterior, masculine presence that suggests dependability. The other new things are the available Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as the expanded use of the eight-speed transmissions. There is also additional safety technologies featured. And that’s it. It seems that the so called significant changes are not that significant after all.

Having in mind that Chevy’s pick-up trucks are on a roll this year with 32% higher sales for this year, this explains that why we are not going to see much changes in the model. Obviously the company is constantly trying to attract new buyers with minor updates to a good product. That’s not a bad thing though. But how much more could one get, given the fact that more goodies always mean more money?

New Front End Design

Well, this is disputable, since 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 looks like a Chevrolet Silverado 1500, if you know what I mean. But updates regarding the exterior are there: the ‘more muscular’ appearance which is emphasized via the new ‘bold horizontal elements, sculpted hoods and dramatic lighting’, which seems to reflect the strength of the full-size pick-up. Dramatic lightning… oh, come on!

Other Changes

Other changes are applied to the eight-speed automatic, which Chevy claims to be used more in the future Silverado. The company has also added an optional Chevy MyLink with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are also additional safety technologies that haven’t been announced.

Since there is so less to say about this pick-up, I can’t stand behind the words ‘significant changes’ as Chevrolet did. Of course, we will still wait for more data to come and enlighten us, how this vehicle will be actually made better. And please, don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that Silverado 1500 is a bad machine. I am just trying to figure out where these major updates are.

Obviously, I have to wait until this fall, when the redesigned 2016 Silverado 1500 will make its official debut.

Toyota 86 GT Yellow Limited Only For Those Living in Japan

Two Toyota 86 Yellow Limited Cars Toyota 86 GT Yellow Limited was just revealed and unfortunately, for those living outside Japan, it will be distributed there only. The special specification car can be ordered for a very limited time: from 13^th of July till the end of September. Then, the productions is scheduled to start on 2^nd of November.

Exterior Mimics the Sun

The exterior of the Toyota 86 GT Yellow Limited has been made so exuberant due to the application of the special Sunrise Yellow exterior color. It has been contrasted with black mirrors and black 17-inch alloys.

The interior was also decided in those two contrasting colors. However, the black here is the main one, used for the Alcantara upholstery, while the Ashirai yellow was utilized for the stitching.

Aero Pack

But if this does not appear enough for you, then you should know that there is also a special aero pack for this special Toyota 86 GT. It adds custom spoilers for the front and rear bumpers (the rear one is also larger), new side mudguards and a massive rear wing.

If you think that Toyota will simply stop at this point, you are wrong. There is much to be added and this visible via the addition of another aero pack for this special Toyota 86 GT Yellow Limited.

What it adds? For instance, the rubbers here are Bridgestone POTENZA S001 coming in size of 215/40R18 at the front, and 225/40R18 at the rear. They are connected with BBS 18-inch forged aluminum wheels. The kit also gives the car the advantage of sport brake pads and SACHS shock absorbers.

It is always sad to know that such cars are only intended for limited number of people…

LARTE Design Releases Dark Blue Infiniti QX80 LR3

LARTE Design Infiniti QX80 LR3 will appeal to those who like vehicles like the latest Range Rover Sport by Kahn Design. In fact, you are probably one of the first to see it! The SUV is ‘dressed’ in beautiful dark blue exterior color, which further enhances its sense of style, and reflects elegance and freedom.

But the color isn’t the most important thing about this tuning project. It also received prominent changes and visual highlights that make its appearance stronger and more powerful. Basically, LARTE Design have accentuates his details to the maximum.

For the additional parts, the tuning studio used only high-quality composite materials. And as you can see the overall design of the car is more … ‘martial’, featuring a lot of edges, corners, highlighted spoilers and air intakes.

Going into details, at the front there are two pairs of round lamps that are not stock for the Infiniti QX80. At the opposite side, LARTE Design experts decided to install stainless-steel exhaust system with four pipes. Each pipe has a diameter of 101 millimeters, is made of chrome and arranged in two pairs on the left and right.

Furthermore, there is also a newly deigned apron in the style of the front bumper. Speaking of which – it is more square, three-dimensional and thus more aggressive.

LARTE Design Infiniti QX80 LR3 Wheels

LARTE Design Infiniti QX80 LR3 runs on special multi-spoke alloys. Their design features large spaces in between so that the brake system could be perfectly seen.

Special design treatment has been also featured for the interior. For instance, the foot spaces and the luggage compartment include high-quality teak flooring. The same material was also used for the door-sill protectors encased in brushed metal frame.

At last, the entire exclusive exterior is packed with a lot of power. 400 horsepower are coming directly from the strong V8 engine, this turning this SUV into a real power package.
