HPE800 Empowered Chevy Z06 Corvette Handles the 0-175 mph Testing [VIDEO]

2015 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 equipped with Hennessey Performance HPE800 upgrade has been just tested from 0 to 175 mph at Houston’s Ellington Airport. To make the staggering performance available for the eyes of others, including you, Hennessey also released a video, which displays how the Chevy made things happen. The video is extremely beautiful and this is why I sincerely urge you to watch it!

The not-of-this-earth performance of the Corvette C7 Z06 has been assisted by the HPE800 upgrade. Thanks to it, the engine of the C7 produces the mind-blowing 800 hp (558 kW) at 6,500 rpm.

Opel Astra TCR Reveals Some Minor Details

Opel expands its racing lineup The latest sports vehicle is based on the new Astra, which will make its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) this September and it will develop the vehicle in accordance with the regulation of the TCR series for national and international racing events.

The TCR series, first demonstrated in 2015, is based on a special three-pillar concept, that further includes national and continental race events along with the global TCR International Series. In fact, both have identical technical regulations. That is why a TCR vehicle can be used worldwide without changing anything on the drivesystem. In fact, the car will compete with the well-known 2.0-liter turbo-charged powerplant units with a total output of 330 hp (242 kW) and torque of 410 Nm. Isn’t it sweet?

Opel Group CMO Tina Müleer says, that the touring racing has always been important part of Opel. The idea behind the latest TCR series is in a special relation with the idea of customer racing. Tina also says that the brand wants to give ambitious teams platform for sports at reasonable costs. How reasonable will be these costs is yet to be proved.

Astra TCR is currently being developed, so at this phase all that Opel has to offer are the two sketches. In fact, even with the paintings, the vehicle looks nice and confident. Hopefully it will remain as this and in reality. Technical specification will be announced later this year.

2015 Mercedes A-class Comes With Upgrades by PEC

RFK Volkswagen Golf Mk 5 in Pure Gold?

RFK Volkswagen Golf Mk 5 R32 Front View RFK Volkswagen Golf Mk 5 is dressed in bright color that mimics pure gold. The project has been conducted by the tuning specialists at RFK Tuning, who are based in Germany. The car did not receive only a shiny exterior but there are also some other modifications that need to be addressed, like the new suspension, contrasting wheels and engine tuning. Let’s see why this Volkswagen looks so charming and which were the exact steps of achieving this effect.

Step 1: Striking Color

The exterior color of the Golf grabs the attention immediately. It isn’t made of real gold of course, but it is actually achieved via Matt Chrome Yellow foil wrapping. And this is the secret of the one-off car.

The other captivating element of the exterior here are the wheels. They come in 19-inch size and are painted in bright candy red, perfectly contrasting the exterior shell. In house made, the Elegance Wheels, include gold decorative screws. This gives the impression that these one-piece wheels are actually multi-piece.

The extensive care for the “shoes” of this Volkswagen Golf continues with the addition of 225/35ZR19 Pirelli P Zero Nero tires at all four corners. They were manufactured with offsets of ET45 and ET35 on the front and rear axles, respectively, and also clear the R32 brakes without spacers.

Step 2: Suspension & Handling

The next step in this tuning was to select the most appropriate coil-over suspension kit for the R32. ST Suspensions, KW’s subsidiary, stepped in by delivering a set of ST X adjustable coilovers. They lower the ride height with a few centimeters, thus giving the Golf significant visual and handling benefits.

Step 3: Engine Remapping

Although the colour is the most striking feature of this six-cylinder Volkswagen Golf, it also has a striking new numbers of its engine. The stock 3.2 litre V6 unit produces 250 hp (184 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. BHP Motorsport ensured that there is a proper software remapping for the Golf and managed to increase its output to 270 hp (198 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft). The engine also has a sharper throttle response.

To sum up, although this project is a little bit pompous, it has its advantages, especially when it comes to engine uprating and tuner’s craftsmanship. As a matter of fact, we do like it very much, but wonder what you have to say about it?

Flying Huntsman 6X6 Concept Debuts Today!

Kahn Flying Huntsman 6X6 Concept is hot exactly like the summer days right now. It has its exclusive premiere today and we are extremely happy to be among the first to introduce it to you! The vehicle looks gorgeous, and guess what, it runs on six wheels! If you want to view this beauty and be around its presence, you will have the opportunity to do that at the Billing Land Rover show. It begins today at the Billing Aquadrome in Northampton and ends on Sunday the 2nd of August.

Exterior

Of course, to add two more wheels means that the Defender had to be transformed in a clever way. In other words, extension and widening were very useful for this task. Precisely, the bonnet was extended by 400mm, while the rear cabin by 800mm. The width of the concept has been also enlarged by 150mm.

The Volcanic Rock Satin Defender also got some tweaks for its exterior. Take a look at the new front bumper, X-Lander grille and the exuberance of Kahn badging. The addition of a third axle at the back, and two front-wheels and four back-wheels is what make the Flying Huntsman truly stand out. All six got 9″ x 20″ Volcanic Black Mondial wheel coupled with Cooper LTZ 275/55/20 tires.

Engine

Besides the heavy-duty chassis, upgraded suspension and braking as well as the hi-lo ratio drive system and locking differentials, the six-wheeled Defender hides something very special under its hood. And it is the GM LS3 V8 engine, producing a total of 430 horsepower (316kW). The unit works perfectly in collaboration with a GM six-speed automatic gearbox. There is more to that: it channels waste through an upgraded stainless steel exhaust system.

Interior

At last but not least, we should speak about the interior. It looks so cool, that I am regretting that I haven’t seen this combination on other Kahn projects. For instance, there are Red Leather Sports seats with 100% wool Abraham Moon Skye Almandine inserts. Not to mention the quilted and perforated centre glove box or the Churchill time clock fascia insert. Finally, you have probably noticed already the single spoke steering wheel, ideally complementing the great new look of the cabin.

Clarkson, Hammond and May Are Back! And It’s Now Official!

Top Gear fans will be extremely happy when they hear that the famous trio, comprising of Clarkson, Hammond and May, is officially coming back! The fantastic news was supported with tweets from the presenters, which have said the following:

Jeremy Clarkson just tweeted: “I’m very excited to announce that Hammond, May and I have signed a deal with @AmazonVideo”, and later he added: “@AmazonVideoUK now saying I can’t be their chief drone pilot. Apparently they want us to make a car show”.

James May also assured fans via Twitter, posting: “Good news! I’ve got a job with @AmazonVideoUK. Bad news! So have the other two. #AmazonPrime #ItSaysHere”, and Richard Hammond didn’t miss to tweet about it, too: “I’ve got a job I’ve got a job I’ve got a job. Haircut, clean jeans and practice driving again. Forrrrwaaaaaaaard!!”

Obviously new motoring show is about to start on Amazon Prime and we are already eager to find out more about it. What has been confirmed already is that there are three series of a car-show, which are scheduled to air next year. More to be announced soon. Stay tuned!

Lamborghini Huracan Verona Receives Some Neat Tweaks

Vorsteiner proudly announced the long anticipated launch of the Verona lightweight carbon fiber aerodynamic program for the Lamborghini Huracan. This beauty is about to get some significant changes. Let’s see what is going on here.

The final touches will bring some fresh front spoiler and side skirts. The front spoiler will not only make the vehicle look even more beautiful, but it will also bring some aerodynamic improvements. For example, the downforce will be improved and will not affect ground clearance. The front spoiler is further shaped to go along the lines of the bumper, which helps directing more air into the openings of the front radiators. The more the cooling the better the performance. Right?

The performance-focused vehicle will also receive side blade extensions, that will bring that aggressive look, but it will also keep the elegant and stylish angular body lines. Furthermore, the upgrade will improve the downforce and the air flow behind the front wheels.

So, what do we have at the end? Beautiful vehicle with stylish, yet confident lines and some nice upgrades, that include not only visual changes and tweaks, but also improve the overall performance. And no wonder. Vehicle like Lamborghini Huracan Verona deserves only the best tweaks by only experienced craftsmen.

Infiniti FX With 32-Inch Wheels. Eccentric or Ridiculous?

Infiniti FX proves that size matters. No, really. This particular model just proves it. You can see it by the ridiculously large wheels. These are 32-inch Autonomo-L rollers and they make difference. Sun, seaside sight and that monstrous vehicle. Let’s check out what is happening here.

So, if you thought, that 20-inch wheels are okay, 22 are cool, remember, that there is one guy on this planet, who decided to see what will happen if he added some more 10 or 12 inches. The result says it all. For some this is just ridiculous, but for others it just kicks ass. As you can see, the wheels are applied to a gold-wrapped vehicle, that matches perfectly with the color. So, we have some nice and clean body lines, one-color finish, that together do not bring dynamics at all, but then the wheels come. They completely change the presence of the Infiniti and make it look badass and exclusive. They really make the vehicle far more massive, confident and ready for any terrain. But we all wonder, is it really thatcomfortable to go with this size?

However, with big wheels come and big responsibility. First of all, it is hard to find such big wheels and such big tires to fit them in. Secondly, it must be really hard to drive with wheels like these. But the good news is that the vehicle became distinctive and there is just a small chance for one not to notices it.

The Infiniti really looks interesting. With the golden finish and the 32-inch Autonomo-L wheels it is one of the most interesting-looking vehicles, that we have recently seen. BMW Releases 2016 M235i Track Edition Limited to 12 Copies Only

2016 BMW M235i Track Edition Front View 2016 BMW M235i Track Edition received this beautiful photo-shoot in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, which you can view in our gallery below. The reason for it wasn’t a shier enjoinment of the images, but the fact that BMW is actually introducing a special edition of only 12 copies to the Netherlands’ automotive market. The limited edition series pictured in the gallery received additional treatment from the experts at Baan Velgen, who gave the M235i more stylishness.The main reason for the release of this limited BMW M235i Track Edition in the Netherlands only, is to simply boost the sales in the country. As the name shows, the two-door sports coupe is equipped with M Performance Parts, giving it more athletic and dynamic appearance.

As a matter of fact, the car got the complete M Performance Parts body kit. But what does it include? The answer: a lot of stylish components. At the front, there is a brand new splitter and lip spoiler as well as blacked out kidney grilles. The sides come adorned by new side skirts, while the tails gets a redesigned rear diffuser and M Performance stainless steel exhaust system. 19-inch alloy wheels come as a standard in these 12 limited editions.

Baan Velgen Treatment

The special treatment by Baan Velgen is seen via the 19-inch Tarmac Black HRE FlowForm FF15 wheels. Obviously, the specialists did not enjoy the stock alloys, and decided to do something about it. Eventually, the new wheels make the BMW M235i Track Edition look captivatingly good.In addition, this particular BMW received a set of H&R lowering springs, which have not only improved its visual status, but also lowered its center of gravity thus reducing body roll and making the handling better. At last, Baan Velgen added window tint, which perfectly matches the dark-character of the BMW.

Interior

Although there are no pictures of the interior, BMW Holland says that the M235i Track Edition has received a steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara, leather upholstery for its sports seats as well as aggressive stainless steel pedals.

Drivetrain

Nothing has been changed in the engine, so this means that the BMW M235i Track Edition keeps its stock’s output. Powered by the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine, it is capable of producing 326 horsepower (240 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of maximum torque. The unit is connected to 8-speed Steptronic transmission, thus ensuring a 4.8 seconds for the acceleration sprint from 0 to 100 km/h and on the way to a Vmax of 250 km/h.

G-Power BMW 435d xDrive F32 Shows Amazing Performance

G-Power BMW 435d xDrive F32 Front View G-Power BMW 435d xDrive F32 will make BMW fans go crazy! The 4-Series has gone under significant engine update and as a result it is now capable of showing more performance compared to its stock siblings and even compared to upper-range models. Of course, the modifications were carefully conducted by the expert knowledge of the German specialists at G-Power. In fact, we have seen that they are able to do some fantastic engine uprating. Straight to the numbers, the G-POWER 435d xDrive F32 has a power output increase of 67 hp and 125 Nm of torque. This significant update was achieved via performance software.

A Total of 380 hp and 755 Nm

As a result, the BMW 435d has now an output to brag about: 380 hp (279 kW) and 755 Nm (557 lb-ft) of torque. As a matter of fact, the 3.0 litres 6-cylinder serial motor with its default Biturbo charge was the perfect basis for the additional power increase.

The special performance software tunes the factory BMW motor electronics, thus increasing the power by 67 hp (49 kW) to a total of 380 hp (279 kW). The torque improvement is even more impressive, adding a total of 125 Nm and resulting to a staggering 755 Nm (577 lb-ft).

Kill the Top Speed Restriction

How about the top speed? G-Power did not provide any details about it, but only said that there is the option of “killing” the serial top speed restriction. The way they can do this is to raise the limit of the top speed to a theoretical value that can not be achieved in practice. This is how, the G-POWER BMW 435d xDrive would be capable of achieving a top speed that is in accordance to its new power output.

Exterior Gets Minor Changes

The guys at G-Power have obviously concentrated on the “heart” of the BMW. This is why there is not much work done on the exterior or the interior. Well, more sportiness is gained via the new set of 20-inch big G-POWER HURRICANE RR forged wheels. They will surely assist in the perfect way the new horsepower and torque capability of the BMW 435d.

Callaway Corvette Z06 and a Tale of 757 Horsepower

Callaway Cars announced details and numbers for the flagship model in the performance lineup. Corvette Z06 is equipped with Callaway’s GenThree Supercharger and produces the stunning 757 hp (556 kW) and 777 lb-ft of torque. The beast will complete the 0-60 mph (100 km/h) sprint in just 2.8 seconds and a quarter mile in 10.5 seconds.

In order to reach that massive power output, the supercharger needs and larger size. The Callaway GenThree supercharger in now 32% per cent larger.

Callaway Cars and the technology incorporated

With great power comes and great cooling. Callaway’s engineers know, that maximizing the power also means upgrading the cooling system. They created a special triple-element intercooler configuration, that provides lower and well-controlled inlet charge air temperature, compared to a single or smaller dual-element designs. In fact, the supercharger is visible and even without opening the hood. Cool, right?

The supercharger assembly comes with redesigned manifold, that helps maintaining consistent air temperatures and low restriction. The technology even boosts the functionality of the cylinders, which results on broad torque, measured at over 500 lb-ft from 2,000 to 6,400 rpm.

Why 2016 GMC Canyon Duramax is the Most Capable Diesel Truck?

2016 GMC Canyon SLE Side View 2016 GMC Canyon equipped with the new 2.8L Duramax diesel engine is said to be the most capable Duramax truck. However, Chevrolet will surely argue with that. Even more, it is a strange coincidence that both companies are releasing at the same time (day) a new Duramax pick-up truck, offering two exceptional rivals to the customers. The question here is, which one is better?

One can’t simply argue, because both vehicles are actually powered by the same engine. So, obviously we are talking about GM debuting its new 2.8L Duramax diesel unit. But what it has to offer to the Canyon? Let’s see.

Environmental Benefits of the 2.8L Duramax Diesel Engine

GMC Canyon, powered by this new turbo-diesel powertrain receives the trailering capacity of up to 7,700 pounds (3,492 kg). The engine is actually certified at 181 horsepower (135 kW) and 369 lb-ft of torque (500 Nm), but it is still capable of delivering greater highway fuel economy than the Canyon’s gas engines.

In other words, this is the cleanest diesel truck engine ever created by General Motors. Another advantage is the standard Hydra-Matic 6L50 six-speed automatic transmission coupled with a Centrifugal Pendulum Vibration Absorber in the torque converter. It reduces the noise and vibration of the powertrain.

In addition, the smart diesel exhaust brake system improves vehicle’s control and reduces brake wear on steep grades. Both the new integrated trailer brake controller and the electronically controlled two-speed transfer case on 4WD models, now come as a standard.

Trailering Package as a Standard Feature

2016 GMC Canyon SLE Rear View

The Duramax diesel engine will be available for SLE and SLT Crew Cab models. They can be equipped with 2WD or 4WD. In addition, the diesel-equipped models will get the Trailering package as a standard. It comprises of hitch receiver and seven-pin connector, as well as the automatic locking rear differential, a 3.42 rear axle ratio and four-wheel disc brakes with Duralife brake rotors.

The truck is also abundantly fitted with technologies and connectivity features like the GMC IntelliLink, Apple CarPlay capability, OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert.
