  • Nissan reveals details for new 2020 Maxima lineup

    2020-Nissan-Maxima-910Nissan team announced details and pricing for the new 2020 Maxima lineup, which is already on sale. Following a mid-cycle upgrade, new family members bring additional upgrades, including Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of active and passive safety technologies, and Premium Package content, which was optional with the previous model.

    2020 Maxima is available in five trim levels – Maxima S, SV, SL, SR and Platinum, each equipped with a 300hp 3.5-liter VQ-series V6 unit and performance-focused Xtronic gearbox.

    With a starting price of  $34,250USD, 2020 Maxima lineup is characterized by aggressive styling features such as the large front grille with a deep V-motion shape, standard-jewel-like LED headlights and Nissan Signature Daytime Running Lights. The cabin welcomes everyone to a comfortable ambiance with ample space and tons of handy gadgets.

    Some of these gadgets include Rear Door Alert, SiriusXM Satellite Radio with Advanced Auto Features, Nissan Door to Door Navigation system, smartphone integration and more. In terms of safety features, there are Intelligent Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Driver Alertness and more.

  • Hyundai NEXO earns the prestigious TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS from IIHS

    2019-Hyundai-NEXO-IIHS-Tests-9102019 Hyundai NEXO hydrogen fuel cell electric SUV has earned TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for vehicles built after June 2019. New NEXO, which is available only in California at the moment, is the first hydrogen fuel cell car that IIHS has ever tested. A machine like this one is also the first to be included in the IIHS routine test schedule.

    In order to qualify for a 2019 TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS award, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraint tests. Furthermore, it is mandatory for the car to score an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention and a good headlight rating. NEXO has managed to score good ratings in all six crashworthiness tests.

    NEXO has managed to avoid collisions in 12mph and 25mph track tests, thanks to its Forward Collision Warning System, which meets the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration criteria. Additionally, NEXO comes with standard high-beam assist that automatically switches between high beams and low beams, depending on the presence of other vehicles.

    2019 INFINITI QX602019 INFINITI QX60 luxury crossover received the prestigious Top Safety Pick award by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, along with a 5-star overall vehicle safety rating as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s New Car Assessment Program.

    Standard on all QX60 models is the new Rear Door Alert. This is a breakthrough technology, designed for active families. The suite includes Rear Door Alert system, first introduced on the 2018 QX60, which can help remind customers of things that may be forgotten in the rear seat, Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Departure Prevention. There are also Backup Collision Intervention, Blind Spot Intervention, and Intelligent Cruise Control. Furthermore, the vehicle is offered with the advanced Predictive Forward Collision Warning System and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection.

If masculine greys, pristine whites and cherry reds have dominated the color game for the past decade, car fans are seeing a huge turn-around in 2019, with bright, bold, even neon shades beginning to dominate luxury car marques. Without a doubt, the zeitgeist of the new millennium is aspiration, and those who have tried and succeeded are opting to show off the fruits of their efforts in loud and lively ways. These are just a few hues to watch out for in 2019/2020.

    Nitro Yellow

    Bright but warm, loud but elegant all at once. Nitro yellow, which graces cars ranging from the upmarket Lamborghini Urus to Toyota’s new 2020 Supra model, is an ideal choice for those into serious yet confident hues that make a statement. Nitro yellow is undoubtedly a unique choice for Lamborghini’s first SUV. This elegant blend of performance and style underscores the exclusive and luxurious character of the Italian flagship machine, whose origins date back to Series I, designed back in 1963.

    And there are the 50 Levante S GranSport SUVs that will be available with Bronzo tri-coat exterior and sweet black PELLETESSUTA interior and exclusive Radica wood trim. The exclusive Levante machines also come with black brake calipers and 21-inch polished Helios rims. As you might well know, this is the first SUV in the entire history of Maserati. Also, it will be available for a limited time.

  • Hyundai reveals first sketch of new i10 model

    2020-Hyundai-i10-910Hyundai Motor team has revealed the first sketches of the new i10 machine ahead of its public debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. The latest addition to the Korean manufacturer features a new dynamic expression with wider proportions and an overall confident stance.

    The sketches reveal a wide front grille that expresses sporty character and new Daytime Running Lights. There are also triangular air curtains and X-shaped C-pillar, visible from far away. The elegant curves and sexy lines also contribute to the overall appealing and contemporary design.

    Aimed to become a leader in the segment, all-new i10 will also feature a range of new Connected Car features. Such include Blue Link, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and a rear-view camera. Forward-Collision Avoidance Assist is also present. It comes with a front radar sensor in order to detect vehicles, pedestrians, and obstacles. The vehicle is also geared with a Driver Attention Warning and Lane Keep Assist System as part of the standard equipment. Customers can also add an optional High Beam Assistance system set, along with numerous more personalization goodies.

  • Lotus Evija makes its debut with a launch of 130 units

    2020 Lotus Evija All-new Lotus Evija hypercar will make its North American debut this month at the Monterey Car Week stage. This is the world’s first British all-electric machine in the segment features dramatic exterior design and sets a new standard for performance rates.

    Evija adopts innovative thinking and ingenuity, which has always been part of Lotus’ DNA. With a total of 2000hp, this remains one of the most powerful production cars ever created. Exclusively designed in the UK, there will be mere 130 units created.

    Remaining one of the most anticipated machines of 2019, Evija is scheduled to appear at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering and at of Quail Lodge & Golf Club events. A few days later, on Sunday 18 August, Evija will appear a Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance – one of world’s most prestigious and best-known car collection competitions.

    In fact, the North American debut of Lotus Evija will ensure that Monterey Car Week audience will have the chance to see the vehicle’s striking exterior for themselves. Following this event, Evija will be at Galpin Lotus in Los Angeles.

    2019 Peugeot 3008 SUV ConceptHaving conquered city streets of Britain, new PEUGEOT 3008 lineup meets its latest family member: an exclusive machine with tons of additional features and revised systems that make it stand out from the crowd. Let’s find out more, shall we?

    The unique vehicle features a drivetrain system, based on the 1.6-liter PureTech GT Line and features a series of subtle all-terrain upgrades. There are Grippy Cooper AT3 off-road tires fitted to a set of 17-inch steel wheels with underbody protection and front skid plate.

    As it seems, this a pure PEUGEOT vehicle with a sexy twist in terms of styling and technology. We see all these well-known attributes that make the brand famous, along with new components that mark the exclusivity of the vehicle.

    There are powerful LED lights at the front, along with Rival aluminum roof rack, which provides additional illumination when driving on unmarked roads. What is also special about this setup is the fully retractable ARB Simpson roof tent fitted on the top. Neat!

  • Hyundai presents new solar roof technology with 2020 Sonata lineup

    2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Hyundai Motor launches its first vehicle with a solar roof charging system. This is considered a groundbreaking eco-friendly technology that would provide vehicles with additional power and fuel efficiency. This system makes its debut with the new Sonata Hybrid and will support the vehicle’s electric power source.

    The solar roof includes a structure of silicon solar panels and is able to charging of up to 60 percent of the battery per day. With six hours of daily charging, we do expect that the traveling distance will expand with additional 1,300km annually.

    What this system is comprised of are a solar panel and a controller. Electricity is produced when the solar energy activates the panel’s surface, which converts the energy by using photons of light from the sun. This process creates electric-hole pairs in silicon cells that generate electricity. Although it sounds like a technology taken from a sci-fi movie, it is completely real and as it seems it works just fine.

    Although the solar roof plays a supporting role, it opens up possibilities for additional upgrades and optimizations.

  • Nissan team announces details for new 2020 Versa models

    2020 Nissan Versa Nissan announces details and pricing for the all-new 2020 Versa compact sedan, which goes on sale today at Nissan dealers worldwide.

    This is the third generation in the lineup, which embraces Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology with Safety Shield 360 and tons of other safety goodies. Offered in three trim levels, S with 5-speed manual or Xtronic gearbox, SV with Xtroni and the agile SR also offered with Xtronic system.

    With a starting price of $14,730 USD, new Versa comes with a lower, wider and longer body, which not only contributes to an overall aggressive and muscular appearance and enhanced stability but also to a wider cabin. Key styling features are the new V-motion grille, boomerang-shaped headlamps and taillamps, kick-up C-pillars and the floating roof. This sexy design concept can be finished with a wide variety of exterior colors – new additions are Electric Blue Metallic, Monarch Orange Metallic, and Scarlet Ember Tintcoat.

    In terms of interior, Versa offers the so-called “Gliding Wing” instrument panel design, which sets the tone for the vehicle’s balance between sexy looks and functional needs. Key features include a sporty D-shaped steering wheel, floating 7-inch touchscreen audio display, remote keyless entry and standard push-button start.

    Additional comfort and convenience gadgets include smart Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System and Streaming Audio via Bluetooth with steering wheel controls, RearView Monitor, Siri Eyes, AM/FM radio and more.

    New Versa sedan is also geared with a next-gen 1.6-liter 4-cylinder power unit, which produces 122hp and 114lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired to an enhanced Xtronic gearbox or a 5-speed manual, available only for the Versa S grade. Fuel economy is rated at 32mpg city, 40mpg highway and 35mpg combined.

    This announcement comes on the heels of Kia being named the highest-ranked mass-market brand in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study for the fifth consecutive year, with Forte model recognized for its segment-topping performance and enhanced safety features in the entire compact car segment.

  • Land Rover launches upgrade program for older models

    2019 Land Rover Defender UpgradesLand Rover Classic team introduces a range of upgrades and tweaks for old Defender models, which deliver contemporary performance rates and outstanding on-road agility, inspired by the limited-edition Defender Works V8 70th Edition.

    The new Upgrade Kits allow Defender owners to enhance vehicles built between 1994 and 2016. The tweaks start with a diamond-cut 18-inch Sawtooth alloys and an enhanced suspension system. However, the most comprehensive upgrade is available for the 2.2-liter TDCi modes produced after 2012 and onwards. It includes wheel, brake and suspension upgrades and also a slight performance boost – to up to 40hp. Neat!

    Also, the Classic Works Upgrade Kit includes bespoke badging on the front wings, a certificate and a tour in Land Rover’s Classic Works in UK or Essen, Germany.

    All components have been assembled to the same standards as Works V8 and have undergone comprehensive tests. Additionally, CO2 emissions now meet the same EU5 N1 Commercial standards as the 2.2 TDCi equipped with emission control systems.
