Peugeot 308 CC Gets Six Appeal
The Peugeot 308 CC now has extra six appeal with the introduction of a new 1.6 litre 156 bhp Euro 5 THP turbo-charged petrol engine and a new 6-speed automatic gearbox.Positioned as the flagship of the 308 CC petrol range the new 308 CC THP 156 automatic sees the introduction of a new “AT6” 6-speed automatic gearbox, further strengthening the vehicle’s image as a distinctive and dynamic vehicle.
The new “AT6” automatic gearbox has been developed by “Aisin AW” to specifications defined by the PSA Peugeot Citroën group. Close in engineering terms to the “AM6” (fitted to the group’s most powerful HDi diesel engines – V6 HDi, 2.2 litre and 2.0 litre HDi), this new gearbox is designed to withstand a maximum torque of 300 Nm (450 Nm for the AM6).
