2015 Acura TLX Is Official Vehicle Of Everything Thrilling

Exactly five days ago we received the news that the production version of the 2015 Acura TLX sports sedan is going to make its official first appearance at this year’s New Your Auto Show. We actually don’t expect to see a car different from the prototype version exhibited at NAIAS in January, however – surprises might come, so we are eagerly waiting for it.

Today, the brand announced a special advertising campaign for the 2015 TLX which is scheduled to air during online and broadcast coverage of college basketball tournament. The innovative multi-media marketing campaign is titled “Official Vehicle of Everything Thrilling” and is themed around the TLX tagline “It’s that kind of thrill”.

It mixes wide range of marketing activations aimed at driving conversation about the new TLX sports sedan. The ultimate goal of the campaign is designed to engage fans with exclusive opportunities to be the first to own the TLX. Some of the highlights of the “Official Vehicle of Everything Thrilling” Campaign include standard banners with text such as “The official vehicle of destroying your boss’s bracket”, push-down banners with video vignettes comparing the thrill of driving the TLX to “staring into a wolf’s eyes”, real-time banners linked to live-action game coverage, social media integrations and a sweepstakes opportunity to win the car.

Furthermore, Acura also revealed that the production TLX will be available this summer. It will offer two engine options: the first one is the 2.4-liter direct-injected i-VTEC 4-cylinder unit and the second – the 3.5-liter direct-injected i-VTEC V-6 powertrain. The former will be coupled with to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with torque converter, while the latter with a new nine-speed automatic transmission.

These engines will undoubtedly ensure fresh and exhilarating performance mixed with the luxury refinement and sports-sedan athleticism of the car. We also expect to see Acura’s new dynamic handling technologies implemented in the 2015 TLX.

Alfa Romeo 4C To Mark Brand’s Return In North America

At the 2014 New York International Auto Show Alfa Romeo will make its North American return with the debut of the high-performance Alfa Romeo 4C. The exotic mid-engine vehicle will exude its design, which was inspired by the brand’s historic racing history.

4C is equipped with state-of-the-art carbon fiber monocoque, driven by turbocharged engine influenced by Formula 1, and boasts advanced technological solutions. All this contributes for supercar-level performance and driving exhilaration.

In details, the car is powered by a 1.8 liter turbocharged petrol engine that generate 240 hp (177 kW) and 350Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is coupled with a dual-clutch transmission, which makes it even easier for the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 258 km/h (160 mph).

What is more, this Alfa Romeo also returns great fuel consumption and has low emissions. It needs 6.8 liters for 100 km (41.5 mpg) and also emits 157 g/km of CO2. All these figures are due to its super-low weight of 895kg (1973 lb).

The Essential trim, which is the standard entry level, is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and fabric seats, as well as grey brake calipers, a dual exhaust system and 17 inch alloys. Of course, there are also optional packs that the brand is going to exclusively offer to U.S. customers.

With the 4C model Alfa Romeo shows the essential Italian sportiness embedded in the brand’s DNA. Style, performance and technical excellence are all mixed in this car, which also delivers maximum driving pleasure in complete safety.

Nissan Teases 2015 Murano Ahead Of New York Debut [VIDEO]

Nissan has unveiled the teaser video of the upcoming 2015 Murano model, which is scheduled to make a world debut on 16th April at New York International Auto Show. The first peak of the vehicle doesn’t show much except for a characteristic headlights and flowing lines.

With the addition of the new Murano, Nissan is expanding its range of bold crossovers and SUVs. In addition through it the brand is also previewing the new design language for future its production vehicles.

We are sure of one thing: the model will have an innovative styling, spaciousness and premium interior. Nissan also disclosed that it will feature advanced and purposeful safety as well as contemporary connective technologies.

Audi Introduces 2015 TT and TTS Models

Audi TT and TTS Coupe and Roadster models will continue their presence in the 2015 model year. Their iconic and distinctive shapes will be enhanced by the Singleframe grille and distinctive LED daytime running light technology. Of course, there will be also interior improvements – the cars will be artfully appointed with fine materials and innovative technologies.

TT and TTS models are basically famous for its outstanding performance matched with great efficiency. Precisely, the 2015 Audi TT Coupe and Roadster will be powered by the 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged and direct-injected four cylinder engine. The latter help those Audis deliver 211 hp (155 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. This also results in an effortless acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h for only 5.3 seconds and 5.6 seconds, respectively.

Next, the TTS Coupe and Roadster are also powered by the 2.0-liter TFSI unit, however they are capable of achieving 265 hp (195 Nm) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. The result is that the TTS Coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, while the Roadster completes the sprint in 5.1 seconds.

The engine of both models is fitted as a standard with a six-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission. What is more, both models come standard with quattro all-wheel drive, while Audi magnetic ride is standard on the TTS Coupe and TTS Roadster.

For the new model year an optional package has been specifically prepared by Audi. It is dubbed as Competition Package and includes: new exterior paint in Imola Yellow or Nimbus Gray, Fixed rear spoiler, 5-arm-Rotor wheels with silver finish, Baseball Optic leather seats with Imola yellow accents and contrast stitching.

In terms of exterior, new are the Xenon plus headlights and LED daytime running lights. What also catches the eye s the adaptive rear spoiler in the back, which automatically deploys and retracts based on the speed.

Another optional package, that will be available only for the TT Coupe and Roadster models is the S line plus carbon package. It will offer a standard 5-arm-Dynamic design wheels. Optional for both models is the exclusive roll-bar covered in black leather.

Inside, the vehicles will be equipped with a sporty flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel, 12-way power seats, driver-oriented cockpit, and other features. The TT will also boast standard front heated seats.

The technology and driver assistance features that will be included are the following: BOSE sound system, AudioPilot technology, Navigation package with Audi parking system with rear acoustic sensors, as well as the Audi Music Interface (AMI), DVD-based Audi Navigation plus system with 6.5-inch LCD screen and MM control logic for AM/FM and SiriusXM® Radio, real-time traffic, AMI in the glove box and two SD card slots for MP3 music.

FAB Design SPIDRON Based On Lamborghini Aventador

If we have missed something from this year’s Geneva Motor Show, this surely must be FAB Design’s SPIDRON. The project is based on a Lamborghini Aventador and is one-of-a-kind and worth the attention!

What catches the eye the most at first sight is its unique “toxic” green paint finish combined with black accents. The bull got some new body elements including the black-green wheels coupled with appropriate low-profile tyres, additional aerodynamic adjustments, carbon fiber rear spoiler and aerodynamic rear wing.

The standard production Aventador can generate 700 horsepower (515 kW). This wasn’t enough for the tuners at FAB Design and this is why they have decided to improve the engine of the bull with additional 70 hp. Under the hood, the 6.5-liter V12 can now produce 770 horsepower, which is equal to 566 kW.

In other words, this also means a faster acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h, and it is 2.9 seconds. FAB Design SPIDRON is going on sale this summer. The official pricing hasn’t been released yet, because the tuners plan to add a wide body kit option to it.

Brabus Gives More Style And Power To Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG

Brabus tuning company is famous for transforming exclusively Mercedes-Benz progenies. We have seen transformations ranging from the SL63 AMG model to the smallest Smarts. And what we can conclude is that the work of the designers is exceptional for its great levels of craftsmanship and quality.

Their next project, which is currently being presented, is on Mercedes-Benz compact four-door coupe CLA45 AMG. The car was already given a factory body kit, which undoubtedly impresses the eyes. This was probably the reason why Brabus did not do a lot on this CLA45.

What is important to mention in this tuning is that the specialists gave the car an additional benefit in terms of power. They have added 39 hp (29 kW) and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of torque in order to enhance engine’s production figures up to 394 hp (290 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. In addition, the top speed was raised up to 168 mph from the standard 155 mph.

If you wonder about the acceleration figures, well Brabus said that the enhanced Mercedes needs only 4.2 seconds (compared to 4.4 seconds in the stock version) to cover the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint. The next step in the tuning was to ensure this extra power got a proper visual back-up.

Thus a red-accented body kit was added. It comprises of a new trim piece at the front, a roof-edge spoiler and rear lip spoiler. The most striking visual elements however are the carbon fiber mirror and the red-banded 19-inch wheels. To match the exclusivity of the exterior, inside the car features a lot of red trim next to the Alcantara that wraps nearly everything.

Vorsteiner BMW F10 M5 In Singapore Gray

As usual the specialists at Vorsteiner have been very active and now have a new project to present. This time they have redesigned the significant BMW F10 M5 Series, which looks stunning even without a tuning. However, its appearance was pretty much improved and now this BMW looks even more aggressive.

To go directly to the details the M5 got a brand new carbon fiber aero front spoiler and aero rear diffuser, for more harmony. Then Vorsteiner decided this wasn’t enough and gave this BMW it special edition 21” Matte Black VSE-003 forged wheels.

Precisely, the wheels come in sizes 21×9.5J for the front and 21x11J for the rear. Of course, the tuners coupled them with appropriate Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres in the dimensions 265/30/21 and 295/25/21 for the front and rear, respectively.

At last but not least, the M5 was painted in Singapore Gray. This paint scheme will definitely make it stand out among the crowd. The power coming from the 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 was not changed – it is still equal to 560 hp (412 kW) and 680Nm (502 lb-ft) of toque. The top speed here is 305 km/h (190 mph), while the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint is covered in 4.4 seconds.

2016 Chevrolet Camaro – Redesigned And Worth Waiting For [VIDEO]

Although there are no official images of the sixth generation Camaro yet (credit to those featured in the article goes to the designers), the new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is promised to look different than before. What was announced was that there aren’t going to be many differences in terms of style, so we are to see the iconic Camaro design for sure.

However, Chevrolet is promising an evolutionary design and entirely new engineering under the skin of the car. We are almost sure that the new Camaro will be probably lighter and smaller in size as well as more agile, since rumors are pointing at all-new vehicle architecture.

These changes are a result of the philosophy of the bran to follow the trend which demands mainstream performance cars that deliver great fuel economy and satisfying driving experience. What is more, the rear-wheel drive system which is to be featured was already introduced to Cadillac’s ATS and CTS models, and it will serve in terms of reducing weight.

Unofficial forums over the internet also discuss the possible powertrains that will drive the sixth-gen model: 2.0 liter turbocharged I4 LTG, 3.6 liter naturally aspirated V6 LFX and twin turbo V6 LF3, V8 Small Block, and 6.2 and 7.0 liter naturally aspirated V8 Small Block LT1.

Honda Confirms NSX Prototype Is Going To Goodwood

Honda’s ground-breaking NSX supercar is going to take the center stage at Goodwood Festival of Speed in June. The brand announced some innovations included in the car, one of which is the three-motor Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system.

To go further into details, the NSX Prototype will be powered by the mid-mounted, direct-injected longitudinally placed twin-turbo V6 engine which will be coupled with Honda’s Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) system mentioned above.

This system is introduced in the supercar for the first time and combines torque vectoring all-wheel drive with advanced hybrid efficiency through the utilization of three electric motors. One of them is integrated with the V6 engine and its dual-clutch transmission (DCT) drives the rear wheels, while the other two motors dive the front wheels.

In details, SH-AWD allows for instant delivery of negative or positive torque to the front wheels during cornering to achieve a new level of driving performance. What was also announced by the brand was that the NSX will enter production next year and more importantly, the production version will be driven by the three-motor hybrid powertrain. The exotic looks and breathtaking performance are of course mandatory.

For those keen on sight, sound and smell of racing and supercars, Goodwood three-day Festival is perfect for them to visit. The event is also the best platform for Honda to put the NSX prototype through its paces. There the visitors will also see the 1989 3.0-litre NSX as well as the 2005 3.2-litre one, which will display the original model’s rich history and development.

HPerformance Tunes Two Audi TT RS Models

Not one but two Audi TT RS models were tuned by the German specialists at HPerformance. The main goal was to make them more individual than ever with the help of crafted rough materials as stainless steel, aluminum and carbon.

Both vehicles make the perfect contrast to each other – one has a glossy white paint finish and the other comes in mat black. They were equipped with company’s exhaust system, which is type „sound at will”. Precisely, the turbocharger here has 80-mm pipe beginning from on one side, and on the other with two 76-mm pipes.

Then, the cars were equipped with HJS racing cats and valve commands that are adjustable via key switches or remote control. The intercooler was made of aluminum and the upgrade turbocharger HPXT-510 sports Hperformance suction system „street“ with 80 mm suction pipe. The latter optimizes the intake manifold and RAM air charging behind the front.

In terms of power, both Audis make a big impression. Their force has been enhanced via a special ignition plugs and software adaptation, which eventually results in 500 hp (368 kW) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque.

What is the difference except for the exterior color? Well, the white TT RS got Hperformance clutch upgrade with single mass flywheel, reinforced pressing plate and sintered metal friction washer. On the other hand, its mat black sibling received a step 3 DSG adaptation.

At last, both TTs has been equipped with Bilstein B16 coilovers, H&R stabilizers, all around installed ceramic braking systems and steel flex braking pipes.

RK Motors Joins The Celebration Of Mustang’s 50th Anniversary

This year the iconic muscle car Ford Mustang is turning 50. In anticipation of the city’s special salute to the anniversary, RK Motors have announced its plans of joining series of events in Charlotte in April.

RK Motors Charlotte was created in 2010. It is one of United States’ premier restorers and re-sellers of classic muscle and high-performance vehicles. Precisely, RK Motors will sponsor a special “Award of Excellence”, which will pay homage to Mustang Club of America winners at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It will also host two special exhibits at the track and take part in extensive marketing.

What the visitors mustn’t miss there is the hand-picked selection of classic Mustangs. This special exhibit will include 1965 Frame-Up Built Ford Mustang Pro Touring 5.OL EFI V8 5-Speed, 1970 Frame-Up Restored Ford Mustang Boss 302 V8 4-Speed and 2007 Ford Mustang Eleanor GT 4.6L Saleen Supercharged 5-Speed.

A specially built by RK Motors Mustang Pro touring car will compete in the annual Hot Rod Power Tour. The display at Charlotte Motor Speedway will also add to company’s current inventory of rare and classic Mustangs. In fact, the company has 40,000-plus square-foot showroom which is packed with more than 250 rare collector cars, which visitors of the Charlotte-area are invited to see.

Audi TT RS Plus By OK-Chiptuning

OK-Chiptuning is a company which is popular for the software optimization of engine control units that it performs on exclusive car models. The latest power boosting of the tuners was done on a 2013 Audi TT RS Plus and resulted in maximum output and more powerful torque characteristics with fuel economy effects.

This white Audi’s engine is coupled with a 7 speed S-tronic transmission, and originally delivers more than 360 horsepower (265 kW) and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque. The chip tuning began firstly by the installation of a Wagner Evo 2 charge air cooler, and then proceeded to the correspondent ECU software and S-tronic (DQ500) optimization.

After this was perfectly implemented, the specialists at OK-Chiptuning added a brand new DK-Turbotecnic Dortmund exhaust system with valve control which begins at the turbocharger. As a result, the Audi got 453 horsepower (333 kW) and 659 Nm (486 lb-ft) of maximum torque.

The transformation of the TT RS Plus did not stop here but continued with the driving dynamics. Precisely, an H&R club sport chassis has been combined with a stabilizer kit of the same origins and adjustable coupling bars. Then, adjustable aluminum strut bearings have been added.

This amount of horsepower had to be respectfully transmitted onto the road via OZ rims type Ultraleggera HTL in size 9×19 ET42 coupled with Toyo Proxes tyrse in the dimension of 255/35-19. At last, the carbon rear wings as well as the front and rear apron were black coated.
