The customised version of the Rexton, shown on the SsangYong stand at this year’s British International Motor Show, is now an additional model in the SsangYong range, priced at £29,995 on-the-road.

SsangYong showed the first fruits of its relationship with Shanghai Automotive Industries Group – a new compact SUV, codenamed C200.
It signals the start of a major product offensive – 20 new models on five new platforms, over five years, starting in 2009. “The car is very, very important for us as it’s the first demonstration of the new strategy that was announced at Geneva,” says SsangYong UK managing director Paul Williams. SsangYong will unveil a new compact passenger car concept at this year’s Paris Motor Show, with a press conference on the stand at 08.15 on October 2 in hall 3.
The SsangYong C200 is an urban compact SUV and the first SsangYong to feature a front-wheel drive platform and monocoque construction (existing SsangYong models in the UK feature separate body/chassis construction). (more…)
