Land Rover Launches a Special Event For Demonstrating its Rich Heritage

Land Rover Heritage Driving Experience is open at the special customer test facility in Fen End, West Midlands. As you know, for the first time, customers will have the chance to experience Land Rover’s rich heritage, that started a sort of a cult back in 1948.

There will be a variety of packs, that allow visitors to focus on a certain era of the Land Rover’s history, from the beginning to the present day and the last model. There will be professional instructors, who will provide directions, facts and all kind of interesting information about the brand’s history and particular vehicles. Furthermore, customers will also be able to witness numerous incredible vehicle exhibits and browse a merchandise outlet. Nice, isn’t it?

Customers will choose among different packs and ticket ranges, that all include an experienced instructor and variety of events:

Series I, II, III and Modern Defenders

This range will allow people to see how the Land Rover’s spirit evolved from all generations an how it remained still, strong and confident.

Land Rover Historic Drives

This pack offers customers to see how a legend was born and will witness the creation of original Series, classic models and unusual models. For example the 101 Forward Control, that was created especially for the British Army.

Range Rover Then & Now

Customers will have the chance to compare classic models with modern ones, bot on- and off-road. Furthermore, all, who decided to try out this pack, will be granted with facts about the tracks, the performance experience and numerous off-road experiences.

Land Rover – The Collection

The pack offers an experience of seeing all the key models from the start back in 1940s until 2010. There will be numerous series included, military vehicles, collectable vehicles, modern machines and numerous more.

Jaguar Experience

This pack demonstrates passenger rides, that include models such as XK150 and Mark II Saloon. Also, customers will have the chance to compare different series and models line Series 1 and Series 3 E-type and many more.

Le Mans Experience

Now we are talking. The pack allows customers to see legends like Mike Hawthorn and Duncan Hamilton with iconic drives like C- and D-types, that ruled over Le Mans back in the 1950s. The pack also include models like XKSS and F-TYPE R Coupe. Sweet, isn’t it?

Grace and Pace Experience

This is the last and maybe most interesting pack. It offers a full day of driving Jaguar Heritage legends, that include post-war vehicles, sports saloons, coupes, roadsters and many, many more like XFR and F-TYPE R coupe models. Furthermore, the pack also offers customers to try out the special vehicles from brand’s Special Operation division. Sweet!

2014 Range Rover – US Price $63,495

2014 Range Rover - Front Angle

The new 2014 Range Rover Sport is now available in the US with starting price of $63,495. The customers can also configure their future vehicle online.

For now, the configurator allows you to opt for the V6 variant, 7-seat arrangement, blind spot monitor, park assist, surround camera, adaptive cruise control and an off-road package.

The 5+2 seating layout is priced at $2,750, while the Extra Duty Package costs $1,300. It includes automatic Terrain Response and a two-speed transfer case. Another $2,000 will cost the rear seat entertainment and $2,100 sticker for the Climate Comfort and Visibility Package which includes heated front/rear seats, 16-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, adaptive headlights and heated windshield. Other option is the Meridian Premium Audio system – $1,950.

The fully-loaded V6-powered SE variant can be configured up to $77,850 USD.

STARTECH 2013 Range Rover in Geneva

Startech has presented their tuning program for 2013 Range Rover. The SUV boasts awesome presence and nice performance capabilities. It will be exhibited at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, next week.

The exterior boasts a completely new front bumper with an integrated spoiler, LED daytime running lights and LED fog lights. There is also a new rear bumper with a new diffuser . The big vehicle rolls enormous 10J x 22” wheels with high-performance tires in size 295/35 R 22 front and back. The stance can be further improved by a suspension lowering module ,that reduces the ride height by up to 30mm.

The interior features leather and Alcantara seats, exotic wood or carbon fiber trim as well as a yachting-inspired load floor. Among the options, you will find aluminum pedals, illuminated scuff plates and electrically folding rear tables with wood, carbon fiber or leather tops.

The SD 30S package boosts the 3.0 liter LR-TDV6 diesel to 300HP (221 kW) and 685Nm (505 lb-ft) of torque. This is an increase of 42HP (31 kW) and 85Nm (63 lb-ft). The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h (137 mph).

Kahn Design Land Rover Defender Harris Tweed Edition

Kahn Design has announced their latest project based on the famous Land Rover Defender. The name of the project is Kahn Design Land Rover Defender Harris Tweed Edition.

The tuned SUV comes with a number of upgrades including a piano black wood center dash surround, red gauges, machined aluminum pedals, red seat belts, along with front and rear racing seats in black quilted leather with Harris Tweed inserts. There is also a lot of Nappa leather and grey Alcantara with silver and red contrasting stitching.

The exterior boasts a complete wide body kit including new front and rear bumpers, extended wheel arches, vented headlight surrounds, stainless steel front grille, LED headlights, clear front and rear light lenses and 18” 1983 Defender alloy wheels..

SR Auto Range Rover Shows the Range Of Details

SR Auto Range Rover is the next exquisite tuning that the fellows from SR Auto have prepared for us. They have done a unique tuning on the classy and stylish Range Rover.

Their leading motive was “simplicity”, which helped them focus on selecting a strong wheel design. And they surely did it!

The wheel design that met all of their criteria was the 3HREE DEPTH design from PUR Wheels. When SR Auto and PUR Wheels work hand in hand it is always a good sign of exciting upcoming tuning.

When one takes a look at the Rover for the first time, the spokes seem like standard straight edged design. However, when one gets closer he or she begins to notice all the fine and exquisite details.

Each side of the spoke is etched with a staggered weight saving groove. The wheels are in size 22 inches and perfectly complement the powerful stance of this SUV.

SR Auto Range Rover with Agetro C100

This SR Auto Range Rover is a unique SUV which comes with a V8 diesel engine fitted with 8-speed transmission. Its 4.4 litre LR-TDV8 develops 313 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The performance is more than satisfying – 0-60mph in 7.5 seconds, 50-70mph in just 4.0 seconds and top speed of 130mph.

However, what makes it even more perfect is the customization made by SR Auto. In the opinion of the team, proportion is the comparative relation between things or magnitudes as to size. Hence, the proportion of the wheels is a direct reflection of the cars stature.

For that reason this Land Rover model was equipped with a set of 24 inch wheels. This Range Rover includes large chiseled lines crossing from the front to the back.

What this means is that the proportion of the large panels perfectly combine with the 24 inch Agetro C100′s. This results in an improved overall feeling of the strong and aggressive presence of the vehicle, doesn’t it?

2013 Range Rover Brings New Levels of Luxury and Refinement

2013 Range Rover is going to bring new levels of luxury and refinement too the automotive world. It is now lighter, stronger and has so many modifications which lead to improvement of the driving experience.

This is the fourth generation of the emblematic vehicle and in fact it has been developed from the ground up, combining the innovative spirit and iconic design of the original model. For example, could you believe that this Rover is almost 40 percent lighter than its predecessor?

This is due to its revolutionary lightweight all-aluminium monocoque body structure. In other words, or to be more precise – in numbers, this means that there are total vehicle weight savings of up to 420kg. Furthermore, the reduced weight has brought about significant improvements in performance, agility, fuel economy and CO2 emissions.

What the designers have added to the strong and rigid lightweight body is aluminum front and rear chassis architecture. It has been created with entirely re-engineered four-corner air suspension.

Moreover, the vehicle’s handling and agility have been greatly enhanced. The new suspension architecture for instance now offers flatter and more confident cornering, with natural and intuitive steering feel.

This new Range Rover still preserves the iconic exterior design. However, some of the design cues received fresh interpretation and thus becomes the most refined Range Rover ever.

Amongst the industry-leading innovations included is the next-generation version of Land Rover’s Terrain Response® system, which analyses the current driving conditions and automatically selects the most suitable vehicle settings for the terrain.

There of course have been modifications made to the interior as well. Within the cabin, the all-new Rover delivers serene isolation and experience of luxury. For instance, what contributes to the reduced noise levels are the rigorously optimized body structure and acoustic lamination of the windscreen and side door glass.

On the other hand the luxurious interior has received a modern take on Range Rover design cues. Clean and elegant surfaces are flawlessly presented using the finest leathers and veneers. In addition, rear passengers will have additional 118mm of legroom.

More importantly, the engine range included in this line up is the following: a refined supercharged V8 petrol engine, TDV6 and TDV8 diesel engines. They all combine responsive performance with outstanding CO2 emissions.

Further technical specification and pricing will be released in early September ahead of the Paris Motor Show.

Range Rover Evoque GTS refined by Overfinch

Overfinch has presented their latest project – Range Rover Evoque GTS. The car comes in a stunning ultraviolet colour scheme and Lotus White leather interior. It is specially designed for the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012.

The body styling is giving the SAV a more sporty look. There is also a set of huge 22” Harrier alloy wheels, in diamond-turned gloss black.

The interior is as astonishing as the exterior. It boasts Lotus White leather featuring a piano black veneer set, contrast stitching and detailing.

A unique Ultraviolet colour was chosen for the show car and will be available as an option when the car is released in September.

The Evoque is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 240HP and 380Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. No updates for the engine are mentioned.

2012 Onyx Land Rover Rogue Edition

2012 Onyx Land Rover Rogue Edition is definitely the most comprehensive package of its type. Just look at the pictures below and you will be too assured of that. This tuning is made by the Onyx company and is in fact one of a kind.

The conversion included not only exterior and interior modifications but also the tuners went even deeper. First to be mentioned are the power gains, which were achieved for the petrol and diesel variants of the Land Rover. Secondly, there is also a complete new exhaust system mounted.

Next, the interior were carefully transformed by high quality tailoring. It was all over furnished with great attention to detail with the highest quality duo nappa leather. In addition the steering wheel completes the exciting look of the interior by its bottom carbon fiber form. In particular, in the interior almost every detail is made from carbon fiber, one instance is the dash clock bezels.

On the exterior we can see the same attention to the detail. Here almost 80% of the exterior panels are upgraded and feature new bonnet, bumpers, fenders, grills, bumpers, spoilers. Here a lot of details are made of carbon fiber, too. Some of them include the pillars, grills, vents, sills. They cooperate in harmony with the existing lines and contours of the Land Rover.

2012 Kahn Range Rover Westminster Black Label Edition marks the Diamond Jubilee

2012 Kahn Range Rover Westminster Black Label Edition marks the biggest royal event of the year – namely the HRH Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. This exceptional tuning is of course made by no other but A. Kahn Design.

A Range Rover model served as a basis for the outstanding work of the tuners. The result is that it is now uniquely styled and refined.

Furthermore, this machine is effectively weighted with a feeling of linearity and purity thanks to the Kahn’s aerodynamic styling package. The latter comprises of of a RS- front and rear bumper replacements, side skirts, LED daytime running lights in the lower bumper section, LED daytime running lights in the lower front bumper section, brake calipers finished in liquid gold, rear tailgate trim in matt black, rear diffuser in matt pearl grey, door handles and side vents in matt black, front bumper lower bar in matt pearl grey, front bumper fog light surrounds in matt black and front grille running bars finished in dark chrome, Kahn vehicle branding, Kahn enamel wing shields and Kahn enamel tailgate logo.

However, the tuning does not end here. It includes also an engine upgrade, powered by Cosworth and complete ‘regal’ color changes, which are also at hand. Moreover, Kahn quad rear silencers in stainless steel were centered on the radical design and interconnected in coalescing design and engineering expression.

How about the interior of this brilliant, almost literally “diamond”, vehicle? Inside, the cabin is complemented with RS- quilted and perforated black leather and contrast stitching interior package, diamond gear selector, Churchill time clock facia insert and Kahn key ring in red enamel.

Of course, the Diamond Jubilee Rover runs on nothing else but Kahn’s wheels, perfectly conveying its essence and identity. Namely, these are the 22” Kahn RS 2-piece wheels in satin black, created using state-of-the art manufacturing and materials technology. They bring more elegance to the outer expression of the car with its simple clean lines, soft organic surfaces and a purposeful mechanical centre.

2012 Overfinch Sport GTS

Since 1975 Overfinch has been redefining the legendary Range Rover and yet making new standards in terms of luxury, style and performance. The brand new 2012 Overfinch Sport GTS is a pure expression of this philosophy. It is the latest progression of the Overfinch styling package. More importantly it has a striking new face. This is due to the dynamic lines of the new front bumper. Furthermore the Overfinch Sport GTS is enhanced further by the LED Daytime Running Lights. Marangoni Range Rover Evoque

Here is a nice way to spoil e beautiful car – just add red tires, strange rims and a lot of carbon fiber all over on your stylish Range Rove Evoque. The same thing did the Italian tire specialists from Marangoni, who exhibited the “tuned” Evoque at the 2011 Bologna Motor Show.

The SUV also has a new body kit including redesigned front bumper and aluminum bonner with integrated air intakes, and a new rear bumper with an integrated carbon diffuser. There are also carbon wheel arches, boot handle, bottom door guards and mirror covers. The interior also features a lot of carbon fiber and some Alcantara.

The last “touch” are the 20” OZ Racing Dakar wheels wrapped in 255/30 ZR20 red M-Power tires.

Besides the ridiculous look, Marangoni Range Rover Evoque comes with 60PS (44 kW) more, which means a total of 300PS (225 kW) from the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. The original torque is 380Nm (280 lb-fT), but there is no data about the new one. The gain is thanks to a new turbocharger, larger stainless steel exhaust system with a 200 cell metal catalyst, and a new air intake. To make sure everything works perfectly, an ECU re-map has been made.

The performance is further improved by a complete braking system – Tarox B360 with 10-piston calipers and and 330×26 mm composite disks.
