Julie David, Managing Director of PEUGEOT UK, said: Marking 20,000 sales of the PEUGEOT 208 is a great cause of celebration. It was the first vehicle from PEUGEOT to be available with efficient diesel and petrol engines, or as a full electric variant, all under a single design with no compromise in capability. With the full electric variant accounting for more than 20% of registrations, it shows how popular and successful our strategy has been so far, and we look forward to seeing more customers behind the wheel of our growing electric line-up.

  • PEUGEOT reveals the striking new 308 model

2021 PEUGEOT 308New PEUGEOT 308 blends an attractive contemporary design, cozy and functional interior, and some neat class-leading technologies. The vehicle also comes with an agile and efficient hybrid set of engines and a choice between petrol and diesel variants.

    Exterior design

New PEUGEOT 308 features a sleek and dynamic look with some sharp lines and an overall bold visual concept. At the front, the vehicle showcases the brand’s new logo and revised LED headlights design. This distinctive design contributes to a more menacing and instantly recognizable face.

The sides, on the other hand are shaped with the concept of minimalism in mind. They feature straight lines and a clean surface which completely resembles the general design idea of the new 308. This visual impact is finished by the large and exclusive wheels that further enhance the sporty spirit of the vehicle.

The rear-end strikes with an incredible and distinctive design with numerous lines and facets. The new backlights design completely fits the dramatic curves and the new set of exhaust pipes.

In terms of aerodynamics, all bodywork has been specifically designed to improve airflow and even the wheel design helps for the drag coefficient figure of Cd 0.28.

Buyers will be able to specify their 308 in seven colors: Olivine Green, Bianca White, Cumulus Grey, Nera Black, Pearlescent White, Vertigo Blue, and Elixir Red.

    Interior design

    2021 PEUGEOT 308

New PEUGEOT 308 is based on the brand’s new and adaptable EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform) structure, which allows for a more spacious and safer interior. It also allows the option of electrified engines.

The quality of the materials enhances the overall feel of comfort and luxury with mottled fabric, technical mesh, Alcantara, embossed leather, and colored Nappa leather. Alongside these, occupants will also benefit from new conditioning system with AQS technology (Air Quality System) which monitors the quality of the air and automatically engages recycling when needed.

Furthermore, the interior offers tons of leg and knee room which allow even the tallest of drivers and passengers to stretch out. This capability is further enhanced with the new 10-way electric adjustable seats and two memory settings.

As with any other advanced vehicle, the new PEUGEOT also comes with the i-Cockpit interior concept. It incorporates numerous technologies within the cabin and allows for their quick and beneficial usage. For example, the conveniently located 10-inch digital instrument cluster grants drivers access to some vital information without having to take their eyes off the road.

A neat addition is also the small steering wheel with sensors that detect driver’s grip levels when using driving aids. With ergonomics in mind, it also includes fingertip controls for the infotainment system.

Upper trim levels also come with PEUGEOT 308 fully configurable virtual i-toggles. These are positioned alongside the central screen and deliver elegant design and enhanced ease of use. Each unit offers a personal shortcut key to many functions, including eye conditioning, telephone contacts, and App launch.

Starting at the Allure level, the new PEUGEOT 308 features fully configurable virtual i-toggles. Positioned alongside the central screen, they deliver both a sleeker design and enhanced ease-of-use. Each touch sensitive i-toggle offers a personalized shortcut key to numerous functions, including the air conditioning settings, a telephone contact, a radio station or an application launch.

    2021 PEUGEOT 308

In order to make the new 208 more agile, PEUGEOT engineers have included two plug-in hybrid options:

HYBRID 225 e-EAT8 – it is a combination of a 180hp PureTech power unit and an 81kW electric motor mated to the e-EAT automatic gearbox. This setup emits as little as 26g/km of CO2 and about 36 miles of coverage with the electric engine.

The second option is named 180 e-EAT8, a blend of a 150hp PureTech power unit and an 81kW electric motor, mated to an e-EAT8 gearbox. This setup has an emissions estimation of 25g/km of CO2 and can cover about 37 miles with only the electric engine allowed.

  • Peugeot 3008 Hybrid

Nearly a quarter of UK drivers are planning to take part in ‘Dry January’ this year* and, in a  normal January, the same motorists could also avoid costly fuel stops, without making any changes to their daily routine, simply by switching to a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). A study of 2,000 drivers found the average motorist covers 14.98 miles a day*, well within the 40-mile†, all-electric range of the new PEUGEOT 3008 HYBRID4 300.

While households taking part in ‘Dry January’ are estimated to save up to £68**, PEUGEOT’s research shows drivers using the new 3008 HYBRID4 300 range could save an additional £48 in fuel costs across a typical January***, for total savings of £116.

Despite the restrictions of the global pandemic in 2020, the study found drivers still spent an average of £17 a week on fuel. Using the electric motor fitted to PEUGEOT’s plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, the cost in electricity to cover the same mileage comes in at under £5 using a home charger – saving £48 across the month***.

The new PEUGEOT 3008 HYBRID is available with a choice of two efficient PHEV powertrains, including the powerful 300hp e-EAT8 with two electric motors enabling four-wheel drive capability, or the 225hp e-EAT8, with one electric motor driving the front-wheels. Both feature a 13.2kWh battery. The HYBRID 225 version has an electric range up to 39 miles from a single charge, with overall CO2 from 31 g/km, while the HYBRID4 300 version has an electric range up to 40 miles, thus also benefitting from a 4% reduction in BIK in 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23, with CO2 from 29g/km.

On average, respondents said they take more than three trips a month that exceed 40 miles. Thanks to the combined petrol-electric powertrain fitted to the latest generation of PEUGEOT HYBRID models, which are capable of up 235mpg****, these trips could be completed efficiently, without stopping to recharge.

Julie David, Managing Director of PEUGEOT UK, said: “Dry January is a popular way to start the year with one-in-four motorists taking part. Whilst we aren’t experiencing a usual January, our research shows that drivers could easily extend Dry January to their vehicles by switching to a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The all-electric range of the latest PEUGEOT HYBRIDs is big enough for the average British motorist to complete their daily driving in zero-emission, all-electric mode. Factor in the reduced running costs and they’re a compelling alternative for cost-conscious buyers.”

The PEUGEOT HYBRID range includes the PEUGEOT 508 HYBRID 225 and 508 SW HYBRID 225 models alongside the new PEUGEOT 3008 HYBRID 225 and new PEUGEOT 3008 HYBRID4 300. All vehicles are available to buy in store with PEUGEOT Retailers and via PEUGEOT Buy Online, where customers can configure and order their vehicle all from the comfort of their own home.

PEUGEOT Buy Online is simple and convenient, allowing customers to configure their vehicle, obtain a part exchange valuation, personalise their finance and complete their purchase, all from the comfort of their own home.

  • Peugeot 106 Premium

    2021 PEUGEOT 106 Premium1

Having equipment usually limited to models in the upper segments no longer depends solely on the size of the vehicle, as was the case just a few years ago. It is now possible to experience the most cutting edge technology and the highest level of comfort even in the most compact cars in the PEUGEOT range. The all-new e-208 is available in a GT Premium version, with exclusive styling cues and latest-generation driver assistance equipment, placing this model at the top of its segment. This trim level is also available on the all-new 208 petrol and diesel powertrains.

It’s no coincidence that the acronym GT (Grand Touring) has always been used to refer to the most high-performance and best-equipped versions of the PEUGEOT brand. The term GT denotes high-performance and dynamic cars, designed to devour the road in comfort and style. The all-new e-208 GT Premium’s array of standard equipment places it at the top of the segment, in particular the distinctive full LED headlamps with three claw light signature, gloss black wheel arch extensions, 17′ diamond-cut alloy wheels and a premium Alcantara interior trim. This trim level also offers latest-generation technologies, such as the PEUGEOT 3D i-Cockpit®, TomTom® Traffic connected 3D navigation with 10″ HD touch screen and a plethora of driving aids that pave the way for semi-autonomous driving. The all-new PEUGEOT e-208 harks back to another of the brand’s small city cars, launched 25 years ago as the pinnacle of luxury and style in its segment. Presented as a special “chic” series, produced in a limited edition of 600 units and exclusively intended for the Italian market, the PEUGEOT 106 Premium was launched in December 1995 and remains highly sought-after by PEUGEOT fans today.

Officially presented at the Bologna Motor Show with its big sister, the PEUGEOT 306 Premium, it arrived in the Retailer network in the months that followed and the 600 units quickly sold out. The success of this small city car was due to its strong personality that attracted the attention of people who were looking for a certain level of comfort, elegance and equipment, typically reserved for luxury cars. In terms of equipment, the 106 Premium boasted leather and Alcantara upholstery – including the rear headrests, which was still very unusual at the time – split rear seats, electric front windows, air conditioning, driver’s airbag, power steering, central locking with remote control and electric and heated mirrors.

Customers who purchased a 106 Premium also received a certificate with the Premium logo and the number of his or her unit, from the 600 produced.

On the outside, the PEUGEOT 106 Premium was recognisable by the “Premium” inscription written in italics on the right-hand side of the boot lid, the front fog lights, the side guards and the tinted, water-green windows. The car was only available with one engine, the 1.3L petrol TU with 75hp. There were a beautiful range of colours on offer with this model: Pastel White, Lucifer Red, Mayerling Green and Miami Blue.

PEUGEOT also made a wide range of accessories available to owners of the 106, and many 106 Premium customers opted to complete their car with six-spoke alloy wheels and a wood finish on the dashboard.

  • 2020 PEUGEOT 208 and 2008 take home one more award!

2020-PEUGEOT-208-910All-new PEUGEOT 208 and new PEUGEOT 2008 SUV have received the 2020 Red Dot Award in the “Production Design” category. Both models have managed to impress the jury with their appealing and contemporary exterior designs and outstanding craftsmanship. In fact, this is the sixth time that PEUGEOT vehicles have taken first place in the product design category.

New PEUGEOT 208 boasts a sexy new exterior styling that has managed to impress the entire panel of experts with its elongated lines and aggressive expression. In terms of interior, the vehicle also features a futuristic digital 3D instrumental cluster, available as a standard from Allure trim upwards. The shape of the new SUV features new triangular lines, ensuring that the design remains consistent and vibrant from the front all the way to the rear-end. As we mention it, the rear of the model boasts a gloss-black connecting strip flanked either side by a full LED 3D PEUGEOT signature “Claw Effect” lights. Some of the premium components include high-tech decorative stitching, 8-colour personalizable LED ambient lighting (available from the GT Line trim level) and premium materials such as Alcantara.
