Mitsubishi To Premiere Three Concept Vehicles In Tokyo

Mitsubishi is going to make a triple premiere of concept vehicles at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show. The vehicles will express innovative design identity, which symbolizes the sense of security and functionality of an SUV. The three concepts are going to include brand’s new advanced technologies which offer environmental responsibility, driving pleasure, toughness and safety.

The first concept Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV which is a full-size SUV that utilizes a high out-put PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) system, and offers both the dynamic drivability of an SUV and class-leading environmental performance.

In addition, the vehicle will be equipped with Mitsubishi’s Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) that delivers superior handling, stability as well as the all-terrain capability. Mitsubishi Outlander Winter and Summer Edition

Mitsubishi has announced two special edition Outlanders. The Summer and Winter editions are prepared with the cooperation of H360 Group. The 5-passenger 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Summer Edition and the 7-passenger 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Winter Edition each have been customized to become the ideal ride for a particular season, complete with integrated sports equipment and cutting-edge technology designed to offer as much fun as possible.

The 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Summer Edition comes fully equipped with some of the latest and greatest sporting gear and goods on the market. It boats a burnt orange exterior with graphite accents and 20” Vossen CV3 wheels that are wrapped in Nitto NT420S tires. There are also Trek mountain bikes that are mounted on a Thule roof rack.

The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Winter Edition is outfitted with a comprehensive selection of gear needed for a day on the slopes. It comes with a white exterior with brushed aluminum accents and 20” Niche Targa alloy wheels fitted with proper tires. There are also an assortment of Volcom snowboarding gear and a coffee maker.

To document any extreme moves on the slopes, an iPhone 5 camera lens has been placed in the armrest and an HD camera is located on the dashboard. There’s also a custom Recaro children’s booster seat in back, for any little snowboarders-in-training.

Vilner Revives Mitsubishi Pajero

Art Studio Vilner has given a new and more luxurious life to the old and plain Mitsubishi Pajero. The professionals have broken the myth that this Mitsubishi can not look luxurious.

The story of this project began when a few months ago a client who lived in Denmark and who was delighted by the tuning company’s projects came to the designer’s studio with a big plea: to breathe a new life to the sentimental for him Mitsubishi Pajero. And not just any life, but one which is luxurious and impressive.

In fact, the project was worth several times the value of the car. The working process began with the complete disassembling of the automobile. Then it was cleaned of rust, diligently restored down to the tiniest detail, and then repainted.

Next, the tuners isolated the entire coupe with vibration and noise insulation for maximum comfort, and then they began with the interior. The client have chosen color scheme in brown and black, and due to the fact that that everything originally was in grey, there was a need to remake every single detail in the interior – from the floor mats to the door seals.

All of the dashboard plastic elements were repainted in high-gloss black, and the others were covered with Alcantara. Details and engraved plaques were built in and they were made of real Walnut veneer, which was then treated with satin varnish for more natural feel.

Another highlight here is the decision to suture the veneer to other materials. Moreover, this Mitsubishi was also equipped with built in a high-quality audio system, which is controlled via an Audison processor for finer adjustment of the sound.

At last, in order to enhance the feeling of luxury, Vilner created an individual travel bag made of the same leather as the interior and carrying company’s logo.

2014 Mitsubishi Mirage – Full Specs

The 2014 Mirage 5-door sub-compact is the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid gasoline vehicle available in America. The small Mitsubishi can achieve up to 44 mpg US (5.4 liters / 100 km) on the highway and 40 mpg US (5.9 liters / 100 km) on combined cycle – manual gearbox.

Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution II at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mitsubishi will return to the EV Division of the prestigious 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with a pair of 100% electric-powered MiEV Evolution II race cars, set to compete on June 30^th near Colorado Springs, CO.

The MiEV Evolution II is described as a “purpose-built prototype racing machine”, which benefits from the knowledge gained from last year’s i-MiEV Evolution. The model adopts a tubular frame chassis and an aerodynamic carbon fiber body that produces additional downforce.

The MiEV Evolution II is powered by 4 electric motors with a combined power of 544HP (400 kW), which is 216HP more than the original i-MiEV Evolution. Other improvements include Super All-Wheel Control and Active Yaw Control which optimally controls the yaw moment to generate best handling and cornering capabilities.

The electric motors are powered by a next-generation 50 kWh lithium-ion battery with carbon fiber reinforced polymer construction and a new cooling system that is lighter and more effective than the one used in last year’s model. The battery has been placed lower in the car to reduce the center of gravity.

Drivers will be the Dakar Rally champion Hiroshi Masuoka and Pikes Peak motorcycle champion Greg Tracy .

Mitsubishi Outlander Is Official Safety Vehicle For Pikes Peak

A completely redesigned 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander is going to be the Official Safety Vehiclefor this year’s 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. PPIHC event will be held on 30th of June 30 at the breathtaking Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

The challenging Pikes Peak International Hill Climb features a road course that is 12.42 long and has 156 corners. It commences at an elevation of 9390 feet and fends at 14 110 feet.

The safety car will include technologically-advanced safety features such as Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM). In addition to this, this Mitsubishi will be equipped with company’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system. The latter will deliver superior stability, traction and control, which attributes are ideal for harsh weather and road conditions.

Furthermore, in the race will also be seen the legendary Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution high-performance sports sedan. It will join Outlander as a supplemental safety vehicle. As a matter of fact, both cars were built specifically for the race with support coming from AEM®, BBS USA, Cobb Tuning, DC Sports®, Kenwood USA Corporation, and Muellerized Suspension Tuning.

In addition, the brand will also make a racing return to the event with its new and more powerful 100% electric-powered prototype racing car – the MiEV Evolution II. It will be driven by two-time Dakar Rally winner Hiroshi Masuoka.

2014 Mitsubishi Attrage – 4.5 liters per 100 km

Mitsubishi has announced 2014 Attrage, which is expected to hit the market in Thailand in July, this year.

The small car is a production version of the G4 concept and will deliver “driving pleasure thanks to agility and pleasing driving dynamics.”

The exterior features a prominent grille, sweptback headlights and some chrome accents. There are also a set of small alloy wheels fitted with normal tires for good ride comfort. The side mirrors come with integrated turn signals.

The interior boasts generous rear seat leg space and large door openings for easy entry.

The 2014 Attrage will be powered by a 1.2-liter MIVEC engine with a 5-speed manual or a CVT (continuously variable transmission). The fuel consumption is 4.5 L/100km ( 51.7 mpg US / 62.1 mpg UK).

Mitsubishi To Enter 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mitsubishi jut announced that it is going to take part in the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The event will be held from 25th of June until the 30th of June. The company will compete with their new Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution II All-Electric Prototype.

Mitsubishi’s team will consist of two of the new all-electric four-wheel drive (4WD) racecars and the goal pf course is to achieve the first place in the race. In addition, the company is going to gather the technical information from the performance of the car in the event in order to bring some optimization in future production vehicles.

The updated i-MiEV Evolution II utilizes high-capacity battery and high-output motors. It is also equipped with S-AWC (Super All-Wheel Control) integrated vehicle dynamics control system to a two-front/two-rear four-motor drivetrain. The result is enhanced handling and control. What is more, the body is designed in such way that it minimizes the weight and brings about better aerodynamics.

The all-electric race car is equipped with wide range of advanced technologies. In fact, they are now improved thanks to the technical data gathered from the last year’s i-MiEV Evolution. The vehicle is packed into a specially-designed lightweight and aerodynamic body, including a high-capacity battery and four high-output electric motors. Mitsubishi G4 Compact Sedan Concept

Mitsubishi has released some photos of the G4 Compact Sedan Concept, which will make its official debut at the 2013 Auto Shanghai.

The manufacturer has published a teaser nearly a month ago, but now there are several photos showing the exterior details. Actually, the G4 is a preview for an upcoming affordable small sedan.

The G4 Compact Sedan has a Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body, which Mitsubishi claims it is the lightest in its class thanks to an extensive use of high-tensile steel.

The engine is the well-known 1.2 liter MIVEC with a CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission).

Limited Production IND Mitsubishi Evo X 311RS Released

The limited production IND Mitsubishi Evo X 311RS has just been unveiled via the official Facebook page of the tuning brand. This time the specialist at IND have decided not to work on a favorite BMW model, but instead took a chance on the Mitsubishi Evo X. The result is exceptional!

The amazing Mitsubishi presented here carries the name project 311RS. It was envisioned by professional racing driver Ryan Gates with the aim to take an already excellent performance platform and turn it into a true sports car.

What have been changed here are car’s suspension, drivetrain, and braking systems. This limited edition will be offered in only eleven examples which are going to be built under the 311RS moniker.

What is more, the powerful engine tuning gives the car the ability to generate the astonishing 440 horsepower (324 kW). In addition, JRZ suspension tuned specifically to Ryan’s personal settings, and a brake package from Girodisc are some of the secret details that create a true sports car experience.

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander – US Price $22,995

Mitsubishi has announced the price list for the all-new 2014 Outlander. The CUV is priced from just $22,995, excluding the $825 destination charge. The 2014 Outlander comes with standard 7-passenger seating, exceptional fuel economy and a lot of nice extras.

The entry level ES has electric windows and locks, AC, 6-speaker sound system and alloy wheels.

The second – SE variant adds 18” alloy wheels fitted with low-profile tires, 6.1” touchscreen display, heated front seats, HD radio, dual-zone AC, FAST Key passive entry system and FUSE Handsfree Link System. The price for 2014 Outlander SE starts from $23,795.

The top of range – GT trim level boasts HID headlamps, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, SiriusXM, wood elements, rain sensor and Super All-Wheel Control. The price is starting from $27,795.

The engine range includes a four-cylinder 2.4 liter with 166HP (124 kW) and 219Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque. There is also a 3.0 liter V6 with 224HP (167 kW) and 291Nm (215 lb-ft) of torque. The four-cylinder engine is coupled with a CVT, while the V6 with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

2014 Mitsubishi Mirage Delivers Outstanding Efficiency

2014 Mitsubishi Mirage five-door subcompact was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show. The model is going to be available in brand’s dealerships later this autumn. It is expected to be one of the most fuel-efficient cars currently on the market.

2014 Mirage includes number of standard features such as seven air bag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), 4 speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 sound system with USB/iPod® input, 60/40 split folding rear seat, Active Stability Control (ASC) with Traction Control Logic (TCL), Brake Assist and Hill Start Assist (HSA) (CVT-equipped models).

This Mitsubishi model has an estimated 40 mpg combined fuel economy. To be more precise it is 37 mpg city and 44 mpg highway. In addition, the vehicle includes four-wheel Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
