  • Manhart Racing Changes the Emblematic MINI John Cooper Works into Something Extraordinary!

Manhart MINI F300 front view Do you know that this year Manhart Racing is celebrating its 30th anniversary? This only means that we are going to see even more exclusive project from the tuner that we are used to. The current one is based on the latest MINI John Cooper Works F56, which is fitted with MINI F300 personalization package.

    Power Upgrade

The best thing about the F300 upgrade is that it concerns every part of the MINI, including its engine and performance. The tuners began with the remapping of the four-cylinder turbocharged motor. They actually changed the fuel, ignition, boosted the software and replaced the standard intercooler with one coming from Wagner.

Remus stainless steel sports exhaust was then added, and it includes larger downpipe and valve control, thus minimizing the backpressure and delivering throaty sound. After these modifications, the MINI F56 proudly ‘says’ that it can produce 300 hp (221 kW) and 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) of torque.

    Exterior

After the more important modifications were done (after all this is a sports variant of the MINI), some other custom elements waited to be added. For instance such are the KW Variant 3 coil-over suspension kit, which has this cool ride height adjustment feature and an adjustable bounce and rebound control. The in-house made carbon-fibre front suspension tower strut brace stiffens up the front-end to reduce torque steer.

Everything mentioned by far is backed up by the gold-painted MANHART 19-inch multispoke alloys fitted with 235/35ZR19 tyres. At last, but not least, the entire exterior was re-painted with British Racing Green and then embellished with a specially designed gold decal set.

    Interior

    Manhart MINI F300 Interior

Moving forward to the interior, the theme in the cabin counts on the luxury rather rather than on motorsport. See the seats as they are covered in the finest anthracite leather and Alcantara and contrasted with gold outline stitching. Their Alcantara inserts feature gold cross-stitching for a harmonious effect. The same approach has been used for the Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, while the velour floor mats have been embroidered with Manhart logos.

Wonder what the next 30th anniversary project by Manhart would be? Which car would you like to see tuned?

  • Manhart Racing BMW X4 F26 – 375HP and 740Nm

Manhart Racing has unveiled their tuning package for the all-new BMW X4 xDrive35d. The compact SAC (Sports Activity Coupe) comes with a significant power boost and improved stance.

The 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged diesel originally produces – 313HP (230 kW) and 630Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque. The performance package boosts the engine to 375HP (276 kW) and 740Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque, which is exactly the same torque like the three-turbocharged 3.0 liter diesel found in M50d models.

2014 BMW X4 xDrive35d does 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, so the new time will be around 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). However, Manhart didn’t release any official performance data.

The ride height is lowered thanks to a set of sport springs and the stance is further improved by huge Concave One 21“ wheels finished in silver or black.

BMW has recently announced the new X4, which is available only with diesel engines – xDrive20d; xDrive30d and xDrive35d. The entry-level model is available from £36,590 OTR. The all-new 2014 X4 combines all unique features of the BMW X family with the stylish elegance of a classical coupe. For now the only rival of the model is the recently unveiled Porsche Macan.

  • Manhart Show Off The MH6 700 BMW M6

Manhart-MH6-700-BMW-M6-shadowManhart-MH6-700-BMW-M6-mediumManhart have finally unveiled their MH6 700 BMW M6. It has been out, actually, ever since the 46th Essen Motor Show opened its doors earlier this month. Funny how some manage to slip under the radar.

The M6’s original 4.4-liter V8 with its 560 hp is in no way a slouch, but Manhart have gone the extra… several miles and amped the power up to 734 hp (because who cares about consistent naming, MH6 700?) and 953 Nm. Essentially, that means ECU tweaking, a carbon-air-intake-system and a completely new exhaust system with downpipes, sports catalytic converters and rear silencers with 100-millimeter end-pipes. Manhart say that the end result is a BMW so powerful that it is actually hard to estimate a 0 to 60 time since there’s little to no grip off the line. We don’t know how that’s a plus. Acceleration from 60 to 120 gets done in 6.3 seconds though. The top speed stands at 199 mph.

In an attempt to tame all that power, Manhart have provided a compression- and rebound-adjustable KW coilover kit. The massive Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires – measuring 265/30ZR21 at the front and 305/25ZR21 at the back – should be of help as well.

The visual treat that is the MH6 700 M6 is courtesy to the company’s Concave ONE wheels. You may have noticed that there’s also a front spoiler, a new engine hood with big vents on it, a diffusor at the back and a trunk-lid spoiler. Every bit of that kit is carbon fiber. This specific vehicle has a very subtle Manhart “seal of approval” so to speak on each of its sides. It’s an embossing effect on the full-body aluminum metallic wrap.

  • BMW 6-Series F12 MH6 S Bi-turbo – 700HP and 900Nm

Manhart Racing are famous with their super powerful tuned cars. Again, they proved that the factory’s power coming from BMW M6 F13 is not enough.

The 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 is boosted to whopping 700HP (515 kW) and 900Nm (667 lb-ft) of torque.  Performance boost will of course, also include a complete exhaust system including downpipes with sports catalysers and the company’s own end-silencer.

Manhart Racing will combine a coilover kit with forged alloy wheels for the perfect mechanical grip.

The presentation of the first Manhart MH6 S Biturbo is scheduled for the late summer of 2013.

  • 2013 Manhart BMW M6 Delivers Extra Power And Sound [VIDEO]

2013-Manhart-BMW-M6-THUMBManhart Racing is specialized in tuning BMWs and now the company is releasing their program for the new M6. Thanks to this the Bavarian high-performance trio of M6 Coupé (F13), M6 Cabriolet (F12) and M6 Gran Coupé (F06) can be now enhanced through lowering, different wheel and tire combinations as well as performance boosting in four stages.

First of all in terms of lowering, there is a choice between a classical coilover suspension or coilover springs. The latter keep the electronic damper control (EDC) and facilitate the retention of the functionality of all electronic control systems.

In addition, the wheel is filled up by the three-part MHR08 Track Spec by ADV.1 rims of the dimensions 9.5×21 and 10.5×21 inches for the front and the rear respectively. There is some sort of sophistication to the wheels which is present thanks to the black rim stars in combination with the brush-finished stainless steel beds.

More importantly, Manhart Racing is offering four different stages of expansion in terms of performance boosting. The first stage “Stage 1” achieves approximately 620 hp (456 kW) and a maximum torque of 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) through software optimization.

Next, the second stage “Stage 2” is also based on software optimization. However, it adds downpipes that deliver more efficient performance capacity – 640 hp (470 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft).

In addition, the third stage “Stage 3” gives to the BMW axle back Sport end-silencer by MHR and a Carbon Air Intake System. In this stage, the performance is measured at 670 hp (492 kW) and 790 Nm (583 lb-ft).

At last, in “Stage 4” the M6 is able to generate more than 700 hp (515 kW) and over 860 Nm (635 lb-ft) with an additional MHR performance box.

Furthermore, the valve control of the exhaust system is mated to a rotary speed thus unleashing the complete sound of the eight cylinders from a rotary speed of about 2,000 rpm. The valve remains constantly opened when the “M” key is activated.

At last, the four polished stainless steel end-pipes are equipped with the MHR logo and are obtainable with 90 or 100 millimeters diameter. In the video below you can take a look over this outstanding BMW and also hear the amazing sound that it produces.

  • Manhart BMW M3 E92 MH3 V8 R Biturbo Convertible Produces 655 Horsepower

Manhart-BMW-M3-E92-MH3-V8-THUMBManhart BMW M3 E92 MH3 V8 R Biturbo Convertible is the next exciting project that the specialists from Manhart Racing have prepared for us today. The performance professionals, based in Wuppertal, Germany, achieved the goal to create the quickest and most powerful convertible.

What helped them achieve this aim is the 4.4 litre V8 twin-turbo engine from the X6 M, fitted with a large carbon-fibre cover. Additionally, they developed software, which increased engine’s performance up to the breath-taking 655 horsepower. What is more, the maximum torque was increased to the phenomenal 975 Nm (720 lb-ft).

The powerful engine of this BMW was mated to a six-speed sports automatic transmission from the X6 M. The latter was also fitted with a differential lock for optimal traction.

Of course, as the previous tuning, Manhart Racing has removed the electronic Vmax limiter, and now the German machine can reach a maximum top speed of 320 km/h. Furthermore, in order to get rid of the engine exhaust fumes, there were installed stainless steel downpipes, as well as an Akrapovic Evolution Titanium exhaust system with a 200 cpsi sports catalytic converter system and four 90 mm tail pipes.

Moreover, the MH3 V8 R Biturbo has been equipped with a robust MHR braking system with four-piston calliper brake pads and 396 mm brake discs (taken from the X6 M, with the discs being retrospectively drilled) on the front axle and 374 mm brake discs on the rear axle.

The transformation was continued on the outside too. MHR carbon-fibre elements were added here and they give the vehicle the look of a sports car: GTR air intakes, the mirror caps and the diffuser can be noted effortlessly. In addition, BMW performance carbon flaps have been installed and MHR decorative strips have been applied.

The BMW now races down the streets on an extra-light MHR Concave One Ultra-light forged wheels of impressive size: the 9×20 inch and 12×20 inch wheels fit perfectly with the high-performance tyres of size 255/30ZR20 up front and 305/25ZR20 at the back, respectively. Here is also important to mention the MHR suspension system (by KW V3) with in-house adjustment.

  • The noble Stealth Fighter: Manhart BMW M5 MH5 S Biturbo

Manhart-BMW-M5-MH5-S-Biturbo-THUMBManhart BMW M5 MH5 S Biturbo is a reworked version of the current BMW M5 by the performance specialists of Manhart Racing. They have equipped it with MH5 S Biturbo, which makes the vehicle visually and technically more impressive than ever before.

The goal was to turn the M5 into a lightweight racing car through reducing every single gram possible. What helped is the in-house aerodynamic components of the MH5 S Biturbo, which are made of ultra-light and high-strength carbon.

The front fascia of the BMW is decorated with an MHR front spoiler, whose rear counterpart is found in an MHR rear diffuser and rear spoiler as well. In addition, the engine hood was manufactured with integrated GTR air intake systems, again – made of carbon.

All in all, the whole body was eventually covered in a full grey-matt metallic wrapping with decorative MHR stripes. And this is the reason why the other name of the project is „The noble Stealth Fighter“ – it definitely look very similar to the famous air machine.

The visual stance of the BMW is further enhanced by the MHR08 Deep Concave by ADV.1 wheels. They sit perfectly in terms of dimensions and design. In particular, the three-part rims of sizes 9.5 x 21 inches were added to the front and the 10.5 x 21 inches are added to the rear. They were covered by high-performance tires of the dimensions 265/30ZR21 and 305/25ZR21, respectively.

An installation of the fully adjustable MHR by KW Clubsport chassis frame ensures that all wheels constantly have the optimal road contact. The chassis frame in fact can be adjusted additionlly and separately in compression. Moreover, Manhart also created performance-optimized racing drive-shaft support systems.

The software and the periphery of the 4.4 litre Biturbo driving mechanism were additionally reworked. The result is the impressive number of 646 horsepower (475 kW) and the maximum torque of 773 Nm (570 lb-ft). Thanks to this and to the removal of the electronic speed retarder, the vehicle now has a top speed of 316 km/h.

MHR Carbon Air Intake System added plays a crucial role as well. It boosts performance as well as gives the engine compartment an extremely enticing outward appearance. The MHR sporty end-silencer made of high-grade steel with two 90 millimetre twin tail pipes right and left respectively, gives the Biturbo-V8 a catchy and an exceedingly impressive “voice”.
