Porsche reveals first details about new 2020 Macan GTS

2020 Porsche Macan GTS Porsche complements the Macan lineup with a new sporty entry. The new Macan GTS comes with a powerful engine, performance-focused chassis and, as expected, sexy design and extended the list of standard goodies. The agile 2.9-liter powerful twin-turbo V6 delivers a total of 375hp and is capable of speeding from zero to 100km/h in a mere 4.7 seconds. This time can be reduced to 4.5 with the optional Sport Chrono package.

Among all-new features, new family member adopts an adaptive air suspension, which lowers the overall height with a total of 10 millimeters. Blended with standard 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels and the large cast-iron brakes, new Macan GTS impresses with agile responsiveness and enhanced performance rates. Optionally, the vehicle can be specified with Porsche Surface Coated Brake with tungsten carbide coating or Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake.

Additionally, new Macan GTS also emphasizes its sporty nature visually. The standard Sport Design package with new front and rear trim and side skirts lends the vehicle a notable appearance. The front fascia is characterized by black-covered elements, accompanied by LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System and three-dimensional rear lights with LED light bars that are also darkened.

In terms of interior, high-quality materials as Acalntara on the seat central panels and central console armrest contribute to this luxurious ambiance. Additionally, the multifunctional sports steering wheel with smooth leather is standard, as are the sporty seats, exclusive to the GTS. These seats feature eight-way adjustment and pronounced side bolster for stable support during dynamic cornering. There’s also an optional GTS interior package in leather with Carmine Red or Chalk stitching plus additional Alcantara features with BOSE Surround System and smartphone inductive charging function. Park Assist is also presented with Surround View. Neat!

Porsche reveals details about new 2019 Macan SUV

2019 Porsche Macan SUV The latest version of new Macan SUV will finally make its debut at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. Coming with prominent and sophisticated changes, new family member features tons of neat features: new three-dimensional LED light panel in the rear, new LED headlights, smooth lines and sexy curves. And on top of all, there are new finish colors to choose from: Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, Miami Blue and Chalk.

And as one might well expect from a contemporary machine, 2019 Macan owners will benefit from large 10.9-inch full HD touch screen, latest version of Porsche Communication Management, Porsche Connect Plus, WLAN hotspot and array of Porsche Connect services: HERE Cloud, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In terms of drivetrain system, 2019 Macan comes with 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with 248hp and 273lb-ft of torque. The power is processed via seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox and contributes to a rather agile run: new Macan finishes the 0-100km/h run in mere 6.3 seconds and chases a top speed of 255km/h. Neat, right? Furthermore, vehicle’s dynamics and excellent performance rates are achieved due to the incorporation of staggered size tires, Porsche Traction Management AWD system, new wheels and overall sporty fine-tuning that does make a difference on the road.

Porsche team also offers numerous optional goodies that can make the vehicle even more appealing: 2019 Macan can be specified with optional GT Sport steering wheel with mode switch button, sport response button, heated windshield, air ionizer, fine particulate air filter and more. Enjoy.

LARTE Design’s depiction of a Porsche Macan SUV: masterfully executed

2017 LARTE Design Porsche Macan Okay, we admit it: LARTE Design remains one of our favorite tuners. We have tons of reasons to place it in our top 5 ranking, but as it comes to this review, we will be sticking to one particular perk: all LARTE Design projects are simply beautiful. Of course, they are also functional, advanced and luxurious, but we said that we will keep it simple.

What we are recently given to enjoy is a refined Posche Macan unit. Although all Porsche vehicles are advanced and of high quality, there is always a way to make them even more luxurious.

For this particular project, the design team has included new exclusive body kit with full-fledged design bumpers and numerous carbon-fiber components. Lightweight and expressive, these components add to the overall sporty spirit of the vehicle. My favorite remains the carbon-fiber rear wing. In my view, it completely resembles the desire of both Porsche and LARTE Design stylists: it is elegant, discrete and yet showcases that it is there in order to restrain the massive power of the vehicle. It is almost a symbol in the world of luxurious sport vehicles. Further goodies include front bumper overlay, splitter, rear bumper diffuser and trunk lid spoiler.

In fact, the thing that astonishes the most is that LARTE Design team does not try to change the nature of the vehicle. Just the opposite, it just adds a kick to the original concept design: it makes it look sexier, muscular and more premium. In fact, some would argue that the original Macan can go more expressive, but as it seems LARTE team is ready to showcase just the opposite.

More power and neat wheel sets: WIMMER team tweaked the Porsche Macan Turbo

2016 WIMMER Porsche Macan Turbo We have told you a lot about Porsche Macan. About its wonderful features and about people’s desire to make it even better. And here we have witnessed yet another masterful project. This time WIMMER team decided to take a closer look to the Macan Turbo and see how it can be improved.

As you know, the flagship in the Macan lineup is the Macan Turbo model. And this is indeed the vehicle that WIMMER Rennsporttechik decided to improve. The final result is a total power output raised to 435hp (324kW) and 640Nm of maximum torque. Also, the vehicle received and sports exhaust system. Cool.

Also, along with the power boost, the blackbone Macan Turbo received a set of sweet Shift rims by SCHMIDT Revolution in Bad Segeberg. These are 22-inch beauties, wrapped by 265/35R22 tires on the front and 295/30R22 on the back. What is special about these rims is that they come with a polished undercut and they will be produced in different concativities for the different axles.

Furthermore, these neat 22-inch wheels come in many styling options: they are available in Hyper Silver, Black Mat with polished undercut, Black Glossy, Black Glossy with decorative screws on the polished rim ring, Black Mat with polished spokes and Black Mat with front polished spokes and decorative screws. Sweet.

Let’s jump right in the heart of the beast

Lucky buyers will be granted with fine-tuned and calibrated twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 power unit that delivers a total of 440hp (325kW) and 442 lb-ft of torque. Or, in other words, the pack brings 40 more horsepower and 36lb-ft of additional torque. All this results on quick 0-100km/h (mph) sprint and higher top speed of 304km/h (169mph). Sounds good so far, right?

Of course, the power output is not the only important feature in a single vehicle, nor did the Performance Package limit itself to just raise the horsepower numbers. Every Macan Turbo, geared with Performance Pack receives new brake system, lowered sport chassis, Sport Chrono Pack and sporty exhaust system. Sweet.

What is also present is the Porsche Active Suspension Management system (PASM) with air suspension. You just push a single button and the PASM automatically sets up some sporty set up for some more road action.

Prior-Design brings out the best from Porsche Macan with PD600M wide-body conversion

It is frequently featured in our blog posts not only because of its relative popularity, but mostly because of the great tunings it creates. This time, under the spotlight is the Porsche Macan, which has received a wide-body conversion kit, called PD600M. The tuning studio calls the process a “muscle building” and we are likely to agree. Here are the reasons.

If you have ever wondered what the word Macan stands for, it is the Malay word for ‘Tiger’. Although Porsche made sure its compact SUV lived up to its name, customization specialists like PD can always bring out more and more so that the vehicle could bring about better performance and driving dynamics.

The PD600M wide-body conversion not only does that but also gives the Macan tough street fighter looks and aggressive on-road stance. The muscular look was the goal for this project. However, PD experts also tried keeping the inherent elegance of the Porsche.

At the front we see new bumper and a separate air splitter and larger air intakes. At the sides, there are bigger front wheel arch extensions visually joined to the equally large rear arches by new side skirts. Speaking of the rear, there is a new tailgate, roof spoilers as well as in-house made exhaust system. It includes four big exhaust outlets bracketing the underbody diffuser as well as valve control system for a mind-blowing soundtrack.

The huge wheel-arches had to be filled out to the maximum with the 22-inch Vossen VPS305 alloys that were shod with Continental SportContact 6 high performance tyres. At last, the ride height was lowered by up to 35 mm via H&R’s electronic lowering module.

Porsche Macan to Enjoy North American Debut Alongside the 911 R and 718 Boxster

Porsche 718 Boxster S The next interesting automobiles show that follows very soon is the New York International Auto Show, where Porsche will hold three debuts in the United States. The visitors of the event will see the new Macan, the exclusive 911 R and the redesigned 718 Boxster. By the way the latter rides on extensive chassis improvements and is driven by a turbocharged, mid-mounted flat-four cylinder 2.0 liter engine which produces 300 horsepower. The 718 Boxster S utilizes a 2.5 liter powerplant generating 350 horsepower. In addition, the 911 R will show that it is a pure, uncompromised driving machine capable of 500 horsepower coming from its rear-mounted engine.

At last, but most importantly, Porsche will debut the Macan, which will be equipped with a “sporty and highly efficient turbocharged 2.0 liter inline-four cylinder engine”. In addition, there will be four models in the lineup available, including the Macan, Macan S, Macan Turbo, and the Macan GTS. The quartet will be fitted as a standard with an active all-wheel drive with Porsche Traction Management PTM, agile suspension and precise steering, while as an option there will be offered the air suspension with load-leveling control and the PASM system with adaptive dampers.

Speaking about the turbocharged four-cylinder unit, it was designed to be sporty and efficient, but at the same time to deliver 252 hp (185 kW) from 5,000 to 6,800 rpm and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque available between 1,600 rpm and 4,500 rpm. The 2.0 liter engine is connected to a standard seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission with an Auto Start Stop technology. This allows the Macan to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 142 mph. Fuel economy EPA values are rated at 25 miles per gallon on the highway, 20 mpg in the city, and 22 mpg combined.

Abundant Standard Equipment

Some of the exterior characteristics of the new Macan include matte black window surrounds and brake calipers, unique dual stainless steel exhaust pipes; front fascia and lava black side blades for the Macan S. Furthermore, the Macan comes standard with Bi-Xenon headlights, 8-way power front seats, seat centers in Alcantara, the newest generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM), Piano Black interior package, and a lane departure warning system.

2017 Porsche Macan is currently available to order at a starting price of $47,500. The first deliveries are expected in July.

Performance & Distinctive Style: Greet the Latest Porsche Macan GTS

In short, the sports SUV has received re-engineered chassis, and an additional 20 hp for its engine. In addition, its brakes have been improved and they will definitely speak to those who are keen on dynamic driving. Some of the latest styling highlights feature GTS motifs. Here are the details.

Performance

Under the hood of this Porsche sleeps the 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 engine that we know from the Macan S and the Macan Turbo. It has been aided with Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) seven-speed transmission and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) that sends distribution the power to all four wheels. As a result we have 360 hp and 500 Nm of torque coming out from a new sports exhaust system.

The cabin is definitely luxurious. It features ‘GTS’ sport seats with Alcantara centre panels as well as additional Alcantara interior trim. Not to mention the floor mats and the multi-function steering wheel with gearshift paddles. Making a debut in the Macan model is the new Porsche Communication Management with a touch-screen monitor. The satellite navigation is optional as is the Connect Plus module.

MANSORY Further Refines Porsche Macan

It seems that Fridays are tuning days, since many of the companies send us information with their latest projects exactly on this day of the week. Nothing wrong with that, of course, since it is always nice to see how other people envision some of our favorite cars. So, now we show you MANSORY’s variant of the Macan.

This Porsche comes in gloss black exterior color and features a lot of carbon fiber – not only on the outside but also on the inside. The German-based tuner also added a lot of fine details, which make the vehicle more special and individual.

Exterior

In terms of exterior, the Macan received entirely new front fascia. This has been achieved with the addition of a new grille entirely in black. In addition, the tuning experts also added new LED daytime running lights and complemented them with dual fog lights.

As you can see from the pictures, the hood also looks a bit different. That’s right; it has been also redesigned and now includes a couple of air extractors and air intakes with new form.

In addition, the appeal of the car in general looks a little bit more aggressive. This is due to the massive wheel arches that are housing in-house made 22-inch wheels in bi-color treatment (silver and gloss black). At the sides, we also see new side skirts and carbon fiber rearview mirrors.

Continuing to the rear end, the experts decided that this Macan will look more menacing with carbon rooftop spoiler and rear diffuser as well as a bumper housing quad exhaust pipes.

Inside, MANSORY Porsche Macan has been entirely reupholstered and decided in bi-color design. The choice here is black and contrasting red, which we can see implemented on the seats, dashboard and the steering wheel.

In fact, the steering wheel has also received a lot of carbon fiber. The lightweight element was also featured on the dash. Below the waistline, there are floor mats in black and red carrying company’s logo as well a special aluminum foot pedals.

Porsche Macan and Cayenne Receive TECHART Air Suspension Module

TECHART is a company known for its fantastic work on Porsche models. Now it is releasing a special Air Suspension “Sport” module for the Macan and Cayenne models. When equipped with it the vehicle will benefit of sportier driving dynamics, enhance athletic looks and greater comfortability. The module has the capability of lowering the vehicles up to 22 mm, depending on the model.

To go into details, the exclusive feature is an added function which has been praised since it was revealed on company’s plug-in systems for previous Porsche models with air suspension. There are several modes of adjustment, that offer more direct and agile ride height levels.

The Macan can be lowered by 10mm in Normal Level, while the Sport Plus mode and the Low Level bring the vehicle closer to the ground with 20 mm. The Terrain Level is that one which has been kept the same as the standard level.

What is more, there is even a Loading level that allows for easier loading of the luggage compartment. In this mode, the rear end of the Macan can be lowered even more in order to achieve the added comfort.

The height of the chassis of the Cayenne, when equipped with this feature, can be reduced by 22 mm in Normal Level and by 10 mm in Low Level.

At last, the specialists have developed the unique Automatic Parking Level feature for both Porsche models. How does it work? After locking the vehicle, the body is automatically lowered by another 30 mm or 20 mm, in case of the Macan and Cayenne, respectively. As a result, both get a one-off appearance, which distinguishes them from the standard series models.

Kaege Reinterprets the Porsche Macan S [VIDEO]

Kaege is a tuning company, which is obviously keen on German-made models popular for their sports capabilities. Therefore, a diesel Porsche Macan S fell under the expertise of the tuners. The first to modify was not the exterior nor the interior, but the engine. The diesel unit of nearly three liters of size received power upgrades and now can show-off with 310 hp (228 kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of maximum torque.

Next on their mind was the exhaust system, which received an active sound system. The result is an extreme sound of a V8 engine, which can be manually adjusted via cruise control lever. No less than a lowering module was then needed to complement the new sporting characteristics of the Macan. This was made possible via a DLC variant of KW with App control, which can be managed via on-board adapter jack.

What is more, even SUV’s serial steel springs and electric shock absorbers can be lowered with the help of KW coilovers. Kaege can also supply the Macan with KW street comfort chassis and KW electronic shock absorber adjustment.

At last, the tuners took care for the exterior, which received exquisite CH-R II BBS wheels fitted with Michelin-Pilot sports tires. As they call it, a “little optics packet” was then added and it comprises of front and rear shock absorbers. In the end, painted red brake calipers are what rounds out the enhancement package for this Macan.
