Based on the Discovery Sd6 SE, new “Anniversary Edition” comes with 22-inch wheels, fixed panoramic glass roof, privacy glass, a 380W Meridian TM sound system and a choice of metallic finish as standard.

Every week we are introduced to the latest creation of Afzal Kahn and company. This Friday we are about to show you a Land Rover Discovery Sport called Black Label Edition for a reason. Although the changes are subtle (which is not typical for Kahn), we find the SUV very attractive and here is why.

Exterior

Based on the Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.0 TD4 SE, this car has a Santorini Black exterior and comes along with Project Kahn exterior package. The latter comprises only of front grille, sump guard and rear bumper trims colored again in Satin Black. The shoes of the vehicle are sized at 20-inches and are in-house made, namely – the RS-XF models. They are fitted with 275/40/20″ tyres. Although the changes are subtle, we are sure that many of you will like them. Especially if you are considering yourself a gentleman.

2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport Land Rover announced some design additions to the 2017 Discovery Sport that include the Dynamic Design Pack and the advanced Land Rover InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with a large 10.2-inch touch-screen. But what else should we expect?

Refined Design

Available on HSE and HSE LUX trim levels, the Dynamic Design Package includes special front and rear bumpers with integrated rear tailpipes, black accented exterior detailing and glossy 20-inch wheels. In terms of interior improvements, the pack brings contrast stitching leather seats and gearshift knob, special carpet mats, metal finish pedals and central dash side panel finishers.

Also, buyers can choose between four new exterior body colors: Silicon Silver, Farallon Black, Carpathian Grey and Aruba metallic.

Land Rover Discovery and Defender Models Earn Prizes and Recognition

2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport Land Rover secured its positions in the prestigious Scottish Car of the Year Awards by participating with the Discovery Sport model. In fact, this sweetie was also named Best Diesel of 2015 and even claimed the Best Used Car award. All the awards were given by judges from the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers.

2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport is Now Even More Beautiful

Land Rover has enhanced one more time the visual appeal of the premium compact SUV with the launch of Discovery Sport Dynamic at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. So, let’s see why it is so interesting.

The Discovery Sport Dynamic grants customers with numerous exterior changers, including the new Narvik Black wheel design in Satin Dark Grey and the 20-inch Gloss Black wheels. These two wheel designs really contribute to the overall striking visions of the vehicle, especially when combined with the interior colors and details.

The new ATPC System

But the visual changes are not the only one made on the latest Discovery Sport. The vehicle now is geared with All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) which is a special advanced system that enables drivers to set and maintain a certain speed in off-road conditions. Created by Land Rover’s industry-leading specialists, ATPC functions almost as a cruise control system and is engaged between 2 km/h and 30 km/h. Furthermore, the system adapts vehicle’s performance according to the terrain and allows it to maintain perfect ride throughout the off-road terrain.

Capability and Flexibility

In order to help customers identify the most efficient derivative, Land Rover has also introduced the so-called “E-Capability” to the latest Discovery Sport. This means that the model delivers the optimal levels of CO2 and furthermore each model will include a special blue SPORT badge at the rear of the car. Discovery Sport offers a special diesel unit that grants customers with a total of 150 hp (110 kW) and produces 123g/km CO2.

Land Rover Reveals U.S. Specifications for 2015 Discovery Sport

The U.S. specifications for the 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport were just revealed. The car is debuting in North America today at the L.A. Auto Show. Just like the European version, this Discovery Sport comes offering dynamic design with the option of seven-passenger seating in a “5+2” configuration. To mention also are the refined combination of performance, safety and efficiency.

This is due to the body shell of high-strength steel and lightweight aluminum, combined with the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and standard all-wheel drive. The unit produces 240 horsepower (176 kW) and is linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission, which makes the car not only more efficient but also more attractive.

Land Rover will also enter innovations on this vehicle, including available Autonomous Emergency Braking and touchscreen infotainment system. The arsenal of technology in this model also features the latest Terrain Response with five different settings to suit specific terrain demands. These include general driving, grass/gravel/snow, sand, mud and ruts, and rock crawl.

Land Rover LR4 will also be on display. It will bring more attention to the recently commissioned Land Rover adventure thriller The Vanishing Game, which is an interactive, digital book written by internationally acclaimed British author William Boyd.

Guests of the show will have an opportunity to drive the 2014 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Evoque and Land Rover LR4. 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport U.S. Spec will have a starting price of $37,995 USD.

Land Rover Discovery Sport Revealed

Land Rover Discovery Sport has finally been revealed. The versatile and capable premium compact SUV is the first member of the new Discovery family and it comes with 5+2, however being no larger than existing Discovery. The new design of the vehicle shows what its future family members will look like. Some of its core characteristics are the optimized volume, proportions and stance, dynamic profile and the ultimate use of interior space.

Discovery Sport was revealed in a “digital” event at the Spaceport America in New Mexico, USA. There Land Rover also launched the Land Rover Galactic Discovery competition. The winner is set to take three of their friends on a trip to space with Land Rover’s global partner, Virgin Galactic.

The interior of the new model depicts the spirit of adventure. It features high-quality materials and a strong vertical centre console graphic. There are versatile storage solutions inside as well as up to four 12V power points and six USB charging sockets.

The most exciting feature is the 5+2 seating configuration. Thanks to a host of innovations, the designers were able to include this feature. The new multi-link rear axle not only provides engaging driving dynamics but it also provides ample and flexible cabin space behind the second row.

The innovative rear axle is coupled with supple long-travel suspension. This ensures comfort and refined driving experience, while retaining the all-terrain capability. Furthermore, here safety has been a key priority. Therefore the engineers have included pedestrian airbag, autonomous emergency braking, and bodyshell featuring both ultra-high-strength steel and lightweight aluminium. Other advanced equipment features include 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and standard tilt-and-slide row-two seating.

From launch Land Rover Discovery Sport will be powered by the 2.2 litre SD4 turbodiesel engine, which generates 190 hp (140 kW). The unit features stop-start technology, high-pressure direct injection, low-friction internal components and smart regenerative charging, and it can be mated to either of 9-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. Next year Land Rover will also launch two wheel drive eD4 turbodiesel engine.

New Land Rover Discovery Sport Gets Third Row Seating

After the debut of the new camouflage wrap we now know for sure that Discovery Sport, the new compact SUV by Land Rover, should arrive as standard or 5 plus 2 seats in the UK.

Land Rover has released a new video and images of a test Discovery Sport vehicle, giving us more insight. We can see that the SUV will actually have two seats in the third row, confirming that the company is trying to appeal more to families in the compact SUV class.

A few prototypes with the new design have been noticed leaving Halewood, UK , the place where the new Discovery Sport is said to be manufactured. According to sources the vehicles are on their way across the world for a final stage of tests before they get to the production lines.

“As you would expect from a Discovery, the versatile Discovery Sport will feature 5+2 seating in the UK, offering spacious load space and configurable seating, while still retaining a more compact footprint than traditional 5-seat SUVs,” added Gerry McGovern, Design Director and Chief Creative Officer for Land Rover.

The new Discovery Sport is expected to be powered by a variety of petrol and diesel four-cylinder engines. The British company has previously announced that the first mass production engine will be a turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel.

The New Discovery Sport compact SUV will go on sale in 2015.

2015 Land Rover Discovery Facelift

Land Rover has unveiled the facelift version of Discovery. The 2015 model comes with a number of nice upgrades – in-car technologies and a more economical engine range. These enhancements are available to order on the Discovery now with customer deliveries starting from September.

2015 Land Rover Discovery boasts two-tone Ebony/Cirrus Windsor leather seats as well as a Grand Black Lacquer wood, new lather ergonomic steering wheel, a Straight Grained Walnut wood trim elements and the most important – support for Land Rover InControl Apps. Some of these features were introduced with the 25^th Anniversary Special Edition Discovery, which was presented earlier this year.

The exterior of the updated Discovery boasts a set of new five-spoke XXV 20” alloy wheels with a light silver finish. There are also new body colors including Montalcino Red, Kaikoura Stone, Yulong and Aruba.

The engine range includes a 3.0 liter V6 supercharged petrol with 340HP (250 kW) at 6,500RPM and 450Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. The fuel consumption is just 11.5 liters / 100km. A 3.0 liter TDV6 diesel with 211HP (155 kW) and a 3.0 liter SDV6 with 256HP (188 kW) are also available. The fuel consumption of the two diesels stands on 7.8 liters / 100 km and 8.0 liters / 100 km, respectively. All engines come with a Start/Stop function and are mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox.

2015 Land Rover Discovery is already available on the market and first deliveries are expected in September, this year.

Kahn Land Rover Discovery 3.0 TDV6 RS-X

Kahn Land Rover Discovery 3.0 TDV6 RS-X is the newest addition to luxury tuning company’s impressive list of restyled vehicles. This Discovery is truly unique, due to its extra styling package. And this is what sets it apart from the production versions of this vehicle. First of all, the tuners added shiny RS grille with 3-D mesh. LED daytime running lights were integrated into the front wheel arches.

Furthermore, each of the front and rear fenders wears integrated RS air dams. The front fender also adds enamel wing shields. At the rear “sits” the A.Kahn Desing rear tailgate logo, while the dark privacy-tinted glass helps to distinguish this Land Rover as a creation of the tuning company. At last, to round out the exterior styling, the enhancers added a set of 10 x 22″ RS-X wheels in satin black with white stripe and original centre caps.

Going inside, one can see a many luxury amenities and custom-tailored options. All seven seats were wrapped in soft red leather with a quilted and perforated design. This makes a contrast to the main color scheme of the SUV.

In addition, each of the four door arm rests wear a new stitching design. Drivers benefit from a new set of machined and vented aluminum foot pedals, new time clock fascia with Swarovski diamond bezel, and new speedometer and tachometer gauges. New floor mats were added as a final touch, while stainless steel door entry sills great the passengers.

Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept Revealed!

Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept is undoubtedly the news of the day. Brand’s new SUV has just been unveiled in New York, presenting the vision of the future family of Discovery vehicles. The first production model of the new series is due in 2015. As one can see, the concept model previews dynamic new design language. In addition, Land Rover has also featured in it a wide range of innovative versatility and capability features as well as technologies.

A day ahead of the opening of the 2014 New York Auto Show the car was showcased at a spectacular event aboard the USS Intrepid – a sea, air and space experience centre – in Manhattan.

One of the new elements featured in the new DiscoveryVision Concept is its unique stepped roof. On the other hand, the advanced interior is not only spacious but features highly reconfigurable seating. Via touchscreen menu, the folding of the seats flat or their sliding forward or back can be monitored. The result is conversion of the vehicle from its standard seven-seat layout to a six-seat, five-seat or even a four-seat ‘limousine’ mode.

At the rear, the tailgate has been redesigned and incorporates a powered, single-piece design. The materials used in the Discovery Vision Concept interior feature two innovative types of washable and water- and oil-repellent Foglizzo leather. Wood veneer can be seen on the floors and instrument panel.

In terms of technologies, Land Rover has featured here the next-generation Human-Machine Interface (HMI) technology, Smart Glass, Remote Control Drive, Laser Referencing and many more. Visibility is greatly improved by the powerful, day-like light of the laser headlamps, which feature intelligent object tracking and beam-dipping.

In addition, the company has also added its next-generation Terrain Response, the innovative Transparent Bonnet head-up display system, cameras fitted below the grille are paired with the Head-Up Display integrated into the windscreen, Laser Terrain Scanning with infrared lasers, the All-Terrain Coach, the Wade Aid sensory system that measures the depth of water even before the car enters it and All-Terrain Progress Control.

Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept will definitely lead the brand to unexplored dimensions. We are impatiently waiting to see its production version.
