  • Kahn Mixes the Defender with Chelsea Wide Track

Kahn Land Rover Defender CWT Front and Side ViewChelsea Wide Track is a name which we usually see standing behind A. Kahn Design’s creations. This time, under the expertise of the tuner we see the favorite to many Land Rover Defender TDCI 90. The specialists have changed not only its face, giving it more muscular stance, but also added some exclusivity inside.

At first, let’s take a look at the new design of the Defender. The team at Kahn replaced the original front bumper with new one that includes integrated lights, sump guard, mesh and X-Lander front grille. Then they have added Satin Black extended front and rear wheel arches which also have integrated vents and exposed bolts.

The hood is also covered by the mesh, as are the fender and side vents. At the back we see the spare wheel cover delivered by the Chelsea Truck Company. There is actually something more prominent that catches our attention and it is the stainless steel cross-hair exhaust system.

When we take a look at the sides of the car we see new alloys. Namely, they are 1983 RS Defend in satin black finish. Behind all four wheels we spot rubber flaps and liquid red-painted brake calipers.

Proceeding further, the boring interior of the Defender has been made very sunny and inviting. The front and rear sports GTB seats come in the exuberating orange color of the quilted and perforated leather contrasted by black accents and stitching. What we also see inside are the one-off black Churchill time clock, billet machined leather steering wheel and aluminium ventilated foot pedals.

The centre dashboard surround is now in Piano Black, while the centre glove box was wrapped in quilted and perforated leather and the roof headlining in Alcantara. Unfortunately, only those inside will enjoy this lavishness of material, because everything is hidden behind a dark-tinted privacy glass.

  • Project 400-LE Edition is Kahn’s Very Special Range Rover Sport

And here we are again reviewing a Range Rover Sport tweaked by the British specialists at Kahn. It has been dubbed 400-LE Edition and received a full treatment that adds further to its uncompromising stance. The tuning is actually typical for Khan, and this means that we should expect intricate detailing and sophisticated interior.

Starting with the exterior, this vehicle is painted with a mat grey color (and I am really fond of it) and received a floating roof in Piano Black. The latter color can be also seen on the bonnet vent and side vent surrounds.

The front has been modified and features new carbon fiber bumper, front grille with 3D mesh and floating insert. At the back, the new rear bumper complements the front and this means that it is also made of carbon. Moreover, the rear can also show-off with a custom stainless steel crosshair exhaust system which was given a carbon fibre exhaust diffuser.

This Range Rover is standing proudly on lightweight wheels that hide gold painted brake calipers. They are also matched with low profile tyres.

Inside, the occupants hide behind dark tinted privacy glass. But there is more to be hidden, because the entire interior has been made of quilted and perforated herringbone black leather. The dash was entirely reupholstered as were the centre glovebox, door tops, door armrests, steering wheel hub and instrument binnacle.

Rounding out the interior improvements are the machined aluminium foot pedals, stainless steel door entry sill plates and the boot lid interior trim in carbon fibre.

Oh, and those who want to see this project will have the opportunity to do that at the London Yacht, Jet and Prestige Car Show, which will take place from the 8th to the 10th of April.

  • Kahn Names its Latest Range Rover Project “Vesuvius”

Kahn Range Rover Sport HSE 400 LE Vesuvius The last pick-up-based project by the tuner Kahn achieved great success in the social media, being very rough, military-inspired and built over the famous Defender. This week, the tuner has presented more luxury imbued car called with the strange name Vesuvius. It is based on a Range Rover Sport 3.0 SDV6 Diesel an after the modifications of the specialists we must say that it looks very chic.

The reason for this strange title is because the main Santorini Black body color has been accentuated by the contrasting Vesuvius orange, found on the roof and bonnet stripe. Range Rovers have always had these seductive proportions and stance, which are now further strengthened by this exclusive project.

To go further into details, the specialists have taken care about the bumpers and have changed both, up front and at the back. They are made in carbon composite and feature some exposed carbon detailing. The front one received vent openings, while the rear accommodates diffuser and twin single exit aluminium Crosshair exhaust.

Other distinctive styling features are the RS front grille and the 3D mesh, as well as the new Silver Platinum RS600 wheels that come in the size of 22 inches and are fitted with tyres of the appropriate dimension. Behind the new alloys we also see Valencia Orange callipers.

The special power of the volcano-named vehicle is hidden inside, where we jump in an atmosphere filled with luxury. The front and rear seats in quilted and perforated black leather are the first to make an impression. The same material is also to be found on the door panel tops, instrument binnacle and glove box. Almost left unseen are the floor mats, aluminium foot pedals and stainless steel door entry sill plates that are positioned below the waistline.

  • Kahn Releases CWT Pick Up based on Land Rover Defender

Kahn Land Rover Defender CWT Pick Up Chelsea Truck Company and Kahn Design have released a very stunning project that some of the female car enthusiasts might even find ugly. However, this car is for the guys. It is rough, aggressive and has this military stance. To go into details, the vehicle here is based on the latest edition of the Land Rover Defender. The tuners also call it Defender 2.4 TDCI 90 Pick Up Chelsea Wide Track.

The military heritage of the vehicle is expressed via the Keswick Green exterior paint finish. On the other hand we have this huge contrast that the wheels make. Precisely, they are the 1939 Defend Retro Dish wheels that come in exuberant orange. Their stance is further strengthened via the massive 275/55/20 tyres.

The muscularity of this vehicle is due to some substantial changes made in its outer structure. For example, the front and rear arches were widened, the bolt apertures were additionally exposed, and the front bumper has been entirely replaced.

But that is not everything the specialists have achieved. The grille is X-Lander’s, there are new stainless steel hood and fender vent mesh, while the front bumper has been replaced and now features integrated lights and shadow chrome headlights. And just take a look of the custom CTC wheel cover and the unique side steps. Rounding out the exterior tuning are the toughened mud flaps and a twin cross-hair exhaust system.

Stepping inside, the interior keeps the masculinity from the exterior, but with added sense of luxury and style. In particular, the seats have been substituted with Sports GTB ones wrapped in quilted and perforated leather.

The same upholstery can be seen on the instrument binnacle and door cards. Alcantara has been the choice for the detailing. Kahn also delivered machined aluminium billet steering wheel vented foot pedals as well as Churchill Time Clock. At last, the front and rear floor mats are making this project complete.

  • Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6×6 Concept Debuts in Geneva! Go See it!

Geneva Motor Show is around the corner and so is Kahn’s long-awaited project called the Flying Huntsman 110. It is no secret that the prototype will be officially revealed at the event and for this reason the tuner has sent us one last picture and some detailed information ahead of debut. The WB 6×6 coach-built concept is based on the Land Rover Defender 110 and also carries a codename “Mission 1”.

Will this concept challenge the rest of the automotive world – it is still a mystery, but it is definitely intended to do so. To proceed with the details, it is now official that the 6.2-litre GM LS3 V8 engine under the hood of the Huntsman will produce exactly 430 horsepower (316 kW). And this is pretty impressive since it is far more in comparison to the original.

All this power will be transmitted onto the road via a six-speed automatic gearbox that has a tap shift control. Furthermore, Kahn Design has strengthened the off-road capabilities of the Defender, making it capable of managing even the roughest terrain. This is due to the rugged heavy duty chassis, the updated braking and suspension systems as well as the hi-lo ratio drive system and locking differentials.

There have been some substantial changes to the exterior that make this project unique.

Extensions to the bonnet measure 400mm, while these to the rear cabin – 800mm.

The vehicle has been also widened by 150mm, and these numbers actually make me want to see this vehicle for real.

This masterful appearance will be further supported by increased windscreen rake and wider rear door. Changes have been applied to the front doors too, which are now longer and allow easier entry.

In addition, the added panoramic roof starts from the B pillars and continues until it reaches the rear. The other exterior styling tweaks is said to be inspired by Kahn’s Chelsea Truck Company Defenders so this is a good reason to expect aggressive and striking appearance.

More importantly, the tuner is making plans for producing the Huntsman in up to five potential variants featuring four and six wheel versions. There are is also the option of making it not only a hard top but also a pickup, depending on customers’ response.

If these details aren’t enough for you, then you will definitely have to wait until next week, when Kahn is promising to give us the full details of the concept. Stay tuned!
