  • 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI – price and details

    2011 WRX STI will be available to order from this month. Both models – four-and five-door variants are priced at £32 995.

    The engine is the well-known 2.5 liter 16V turbocharged boxer with Dual Active Valve Control. It delivers 300PS at 6000RPM and 407Nm at just 4000RPM. The acceleration is astonishing – 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. Furthermore, the engine is slightly revised , so it is cleaner, and successfully meets Euro 5 exhaust emissions standards.

    Subaru has further tuned its three-mode SI-Drive (Subaru Intelligent Drive) system, which can be used to adjust the engine’s characteristics to best suit a variety of driving conditions. (more…)

    Suburu has the tradition to test all their vehicles at the world’s toughest race track – Nurburgring. Since 1992 for advanced R & D as well as tests of the WRX and WRX STI models.

    The concept of the 2011MY WRX STI appears to be the fastest WRX STI ever. The most significant upgrades are focused on the chassis and suspension. Series of tests have been made at Nurburgring to demonstrate the superior dynamics of WRX STI. Tommi Mäkinen, the legendary four-time World Rally Champion tested the vehicle for the challenge.   • Subaru Cosworth Impreza STI CS400

    Subaru Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 will be released in limited edition of just 75 units. The car is the result of one of the most interesting collaborations in recent times. This is the first Cosworth-developed road car since 1996, when Ford Escort Cosworth was discontinued. STI CS400 will be thrill of a lifetime for few happy owners.

    Subaru Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 is one of the most powerful hatchbacks on the market. It is powered by 2.5 litre four-cylinder turbocharged Boxer engine developing 400ps. Thanks to Cosworth’s extensive Formula 1 experience, this engine produces 33 per cent more power than originally from the factory. The power is put on the road through six-speed manual gearbox. The acceleration is astonishinrg – 3.7 seconds to 100 km/h and top speed of 155 mph ( electronically limited). The car covers a quarter mile in 12.75 seconds at a terminal speed of 107 mph. (more…)

    One of the latest creations from Subaru – the Impreza WRX STi Carbon made its official debut at the Tokyo Motorshow 2009.   • Subaru Impreza now available with boxer Diesel

    Although diesel is contradictory to sport, Subaru will release diesel powered engine for their hot hatch Impreza.

    It is Horizontally-opposed engine develops 150 PS and 350Nm (258 ft.lbs) exceptional refinement, flexibility and throttle response and with excellent fuel consumption 47.9 mpg Combined and emissions as low as 155 g/km CO2.

    The performance is not something amazing, but it is good enough for everyday driving – 127 mph top speed and 0-62 mph in 9.0 seconds. (more…)
