  • Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 Bronco

Hennessey, a high-performance vehicle creator from Texas, has started delivering its new 500 bhp VelociRaptor 500 Bronco Raptor to customers. The company’s engineering team approved the upgraded version of Ford’s factory Bronco Raptor after testing it in the cold weather of Colorado’s snowy mountains. This approval allowed production and deliveries to begin at Hennessey’s Texas headquarters.

For over 30 years, Hennessey’s engineers have been improving fast cars. They used their expertise to enhance the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine of the SUV to make it more powerful and drivable. By installing a new high-capacity intercooler and using a proprietary engine management system tuning, they improved charge cooling and increased intake boost, resulting in a total system power of 500 bhp and 550 lb-ft of torque, which earned the nameplate ‘VelociRaptor 500.’ These figures were proven on a dyno.

The Hennessey team went to Colorado last month to test the upgraded 4×4 in the Rocky Mountains. The winter conditions were tough with snowstorms and freezing temperatures, but the vehicle with Hennessey’s unique 20-inch alloy wheels and 37-inch off-road tires handled it well. The challenging conditions didn’t stop the team from completing the low-temperature, high-altitude testing.

John Hennessey, company founder, and CEO: “The VelociRaptor 500 Bronco is one of our most agile and capable off-road offerings — it’s nearly unstoppable off the pavement. Our 500 horsepower upgrade pairs perfectly with Ford’s rugged Bronco Raptor 4×4 as we improve upon the factory’s high-performance offering and enhance it with more power and a more aggressive appearance.”

The VelociRaptor 500 package starts at $28,950, not including the base Ford Bronco Raptor. It includes upgrades to the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, such as enhanced air induction, a high-capacity intercooler with a blow-off valve, and an improved engine-management system. Hennessey also makes exterior changes by adding custom VelociRaptor bumpers, LED off-road lights, unique Hennessey 10-spoke alloy wheels, and VelociRaptor 500 Bronco badging. Inside, there are Hennessey embroidered head restraints, all-weather floor mats, and a unique build number plaque.

Hennessey has conducted thorough R&D at its private test track and in extreme on- and off-road conditions. As a result, the company confidently offers a comprehensive 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty on every Bronco build.

  • Hennessey H700 Corvette C8 Stingray

Hennessey, the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer, and high-performance vehicle creator, has supercharged America’s premier mid-engine sports car. The new Hennessey Supercharged H700 Corvette C8 Stingray, fitted with a muscular blower, vaults the standard midengined Stingray coupe to exotic car power and torque levels that surpass even the revered 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

The eighth-generation Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray coupe is shipped with a mid-mounted LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine. Naturally aspirated in stock form, it delivers 490 bhp and 465 lb-ft of torque. However, to unleash the untapped potential of the American small-block V8, Hennessey’s Texas-based engineering team fits a high-flow centrifugal supercharger, an air induction system with an air-to-water intercooler, and an optional enhanced cat-back exhaust.

Completed with updated high-performance engine software, the ‘H700’ boasts an explosive 708 bhp and 638 lb-ft — a 44 percent increase in horsepower and a 37 percent increase in torque over the factory rating. In terms of power output, the supercharged H700 Corvette C8 Stingray even outshines Chevrolet’s flagship C8 Z06 whose naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter LT6 flat-plane crank V8 engine produces 670 bhp and 460 lb-ft.

John Hennessey, founder and CEO: “The stock C8 Corvette Stingray is an extraordinary sports car, yet Chevrolet left some V8 performance on the table. Our exciting ‘H700’ supercharger package integrates seamlessly with the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and our exhaust upgrade sounds much more aggressive than stock.

Considering that our power and torque surpass the factory Z06, the Hennessey ‘H700’ is arguably the best value high-performance supercar in the world.” The complete Hennessey Supercharged ‘H700’ Corvette C8 Stingray upgrade package includes the supercharger, intercooler, engine tune, lightweight wheels, cat-back exhaust, and graphics priced at MSRP $49,950.

The 19- and 20-inch alloy wheels are offered with a Brushed Aluminum, Satin Black, or Graphite finish, while the striking vinyl Hennessey Heritage Livery is offered in Blue, White, Black, Silver, or Red. A power-only package, with just the supercharger upgrade and warranty, is offered for MSRP $34,950. All packages feature ‘Hennessey’ and ‘H700’ badging and a serial numbered plaque.

  • Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Coupe

Hennessey, the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer, and high-performance vehicle creator, has unveiled a new, lighter-weight, track-focused version of the Hennessey Venom F5 that has been comprehensively re-engineered for increased agility, uncompromised handling, and high downforce. The new Venom F5 Revolution Coupe is an apex predator on a racing circuit – it is the most powerful and visceral pure-combustion hypercar in the world.

The Venom F5 Revolution Coupe is based on the Hennessey Venom F5 Coupe – the two share nearly identical DNA – yet distinguishing the Revolution Coupe from its sibling are its comprehensively reworked aerodynamics, suspension, engine cooling, and digital telemetry. The engineering team also focused on reducing mass. Thanks to a systematic focus on weight reduction, the race-honed model tips the scales below 3,000 pounds – it is the lightest Venom F5 model.

Honed by Chief Engineer John ‘Heinrocket’ Heinricy, the Revolution capitalizes on every bit of his 38 years of performance car development with GM and his exemplary racing career – Heinricy has more than 240 professional races under his belt, including 35 grueling 24-hour races and multiple race/championship wins (he also holds three FIA Speed Records and has over 1,000 laps of the Nürburgring to his name).

John ‘Heinrocket’ Heinricy, chief engineer: “I led engineering on some of the most extreme cars to come out of GM, including the Corvette Z06 and Cadillac CTS-V, but nothing compares to designing, developing, and refining a race car for the road like the Venom F5 Revolution. From the outset, we designed the Venom F5 hypercar to be ultra-light and monstrously powerful, with dynamics to match. So, taking these ingredients and adding track-focused aerodynamics, suspension, and gearing, enabled us to create a machine that is the ultimate visceral and emotional driving experience.”

Mirroring all other Venom F5 models, mid-mounted in the carbon-fiber monocoque chassis is Hennessey’s celebrated twin-turbocharged, 6.6-liter, ‘Fury’ V8 engine rated at an astonishing 1,817 bhp. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a robust automated single-clutch gearbox calibrated for competitive use. With such low mass, the Venom F5 Revolution Coupe promises phenomenal acceleration. Carbon-ceramic brakes are fitted as standard and feature muti-piston calipers, ensuring fade-free stopping power on the road or circuit.

Most visible to passers-by is the Revolution Coupe’s full-width rear-mounted carbon fiber wing. The adjustable appendage (that allows the owner to adjust the angle of attack through a range of degrees) is fitted with end plates that stop the high-pressure air on top of the wing from spilling underneath – increasing downforce without extending the width of the wing. The end plates also generate vortexes that guide airflow and improve aerodynamics and stability. As a result, the rear wing delivers more than 800 pounds of downforce at 186 mph (300 km/h) and over 1,400 pounds of downforce at 249 mph (400 km/h).

A significantly larger front splitter, crafted from carbon fiber, complements the rear-mounted wing and rear diffuser. The front splitter prevents air from flowing under the F5 Revolution Coupe, which creates a low-pressure vortex beneath the vehicle (aiding downforce). At the same time, the extended rear diffuser guides air out from the hypercar’s smooth underbelly. Dive planes, positioned on the front fascia in front of the wheels, aggressively channel airflow to shift the aerodynamic balance forward – adding grip to improve turn-in. In addition, the Revolution features a new roof-mounted central air scoop that delivers fresh cool air to the F5’s engine bay, which effectively helps lower component temperatures.

The double-wishbone suspension, with more aggressive alignment settings, is fitted with adjustable dampers that may be calibrated trackside with simple tools – thus optimizing the suspension system for the particular road course, racing circuit, or track. In addition, new forged alloy wheels present a larger contact patch for improved cornering grip and enhanced braking. Lastly, Venom F5 Revolution owners are offered a digital on-board track telemetry system capable of measuring an array of data points. These include lap times, splits, cornering G-forces, and more. The system allows the driver to monitor the telemetry in real time, or the data may be saved for later analysis or archiving.

John Hennessey, company founder and CEO: “The new Venom F5 Revolution Coupe combines our outstanding 1,817 bhp V8 ‘Fury’ combustion engine with our lightest and most capable chassis. The hypercar, which is astoundingly fast, is at home on a racing circuit where utmost handling is paramount – it offers the nimbleness of a fighter jet, yet with a powerplant like a Saturn V rocket!”

The Revolution Coupe is the third model to join the Venom F5 family. Each of the 1,817 bhp variants shares the same decathlete mission – uncompromised acceleration, braking, and handling – yet all have been individually engineered for a specific mission. The F5 Coupe targets ultimate top speed, while the open-roof F5 Roadster delivers the most visceral experience. The new F5 Revolution Coupe dials track performance to an entirely new level.

The new Venom F5 Revolution Coupe will make its global debut at the Miami Motorcar Cavalcade Concours d’Elegance on January 15, 2023. Priced at $2.7 million and limited to just 24 units, exclusivity is a given in advance of the official release, many of the Revolution models have already been sold to passionate hypercar fans.

  • Hennessey Venom 1200 Ford Mustang GT500

Hennessey, the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle creator has confirmed production for its new Venom 1200 Mustang GT500. Based on the most powerful factory-produced Mustang of all time, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, the latest Hennessey build will be one of the most powerful muscle cars Hennessey Performance has ever produced.

Ford Performance’s factory-stock Shelby GT500 boasts a hand-built supercharged 5.2-liter V8 rated at 760 bhp and 625 lb-ft of torque – it’s the most powerful factory engine ever dropped under the iconic pony car’s hood. Yet Ford still leaves much of the vehicle’s potential untapped.

The Hennessey Performance team in Texas, which has been ‘making fast cars faster’ for more than 30 years, seizes the opportunity. Its engineers make wide-ranging improvements to the factory setup to increase horsepower and torque considerably. These include a higher capacity 3.8-liter supercharger, a high-flow induction system, new fuel rails and injectors, and an air/oil separation system. In addition, fittings, lines, belts, and tensioners are upgraded, and the dual-clutch transmission is recalibrated for its high-output role. Lastly, the vehicle is calibrated on Hennessey’s in-house dynamometer, before being road-tested.

When the Venom 1200 leaves Hennessey Performance, its comprehensive upgrades and enhancements have unleashed a formidable 1,204 bhp and 902 lb-ft of torque – an astounding 58 percent increase in horsepower over stock.

John Hennessey, company founder, and CEO: “The stock Shelby GT500 is an extraordinary muscle car, but we take it to the nth degree with our Venom 1200. Our engineers were able to coax more than 400 additional horsepower out of the engine, which takes performance to supercar levels. Only a handful of vehicles in the world offer this level of power… especially at this price point.”

Priced from $59,950 – exclusive of the base Ford Shelby GT500 – the Venom 1200 package offers comprehensive professional upgrades to the stock 5.2-liter V8 engine, unique exterior badging, and a special serial-numbered plaque. Only 66 examples of the Venom 1200 will be built globally. Owners will have the choice of adding the historic 1966 24 Hours of Daytona Ford Mark II GT40 red, white, and black livery to their build (an optional upgrade priced at $4,950 and shown on the vehicle in the press images).

Hennessey prides itself on the reliability of its vehicles and the quality of its workmanship, backing up every Venom 1200 transformation with its comprehensive 1-year / 12,000-mile warranty. The new Hennessey Venom 1200 is available for international shipping now through authorized Ford retailers or directly from Hennessey by calling +1 979.885.1300 or visiting HennesseyPerformance.com.

  • Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster

Hennessey Special Vehicles, the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer, has released details of its Venom F5 Roadster ahead of the new car’s global debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in Monterey, California.

The Venom F5 Roadster is based on the Hennessey Venom F5 Coupe – the two are nearly identical mechanically – yet distinguishing the Venom F5 Roadster from its fixed-roof sibling are several attributes that set the open-air model apart – physically, cosmetically, and emotionally.

Mid-mounted in the carbon-fiber monocoque chassis is Hennessey’s celebrated twin-turbocharged, 6.6-liter, ‘Fury’ V8 engine rated at an astonishing 1,817 bhp. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a robust automated single-clutch gearbox. With a dry weight of under 3,100 pounds, the Venom F5 Roadster promises phenomenal performance… and an engineered top speed exceeding 300 mph.

Hennessey expects the Venom F5 Roadster to surpass the company’s own ‘world’s fastest convertible’ record – 265.6 mph – currently held by the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder.

John Hennessey, company founder, and CEO: “We created the Venom F5 to be the ultimate expression of a hypercar. The Roadster version takes the Coupe’s speed, exhilaration, and awe, plus a sprinkling of respect-inducing fear, to a new, truly visceral level that brings owners closer to the Venom F5’s extreme performance. Our 1,817 bhp ‘Fury’ engine screams behind the exposed cockpit, with its roar unobstructed by a roof – it is an unmatched automotive experience.”

Most conspicuous is the hypercar’s new roofline. In contrast to the F5 Coupe, the F5 Roadster’s roof has been re-engineered with a removable panel crafted from rigid carbon fiber composites. The single-piece roof is fully insulated against the elements and lined with soft Alcantara upholstery. The weatherproof panel is secured with four quick-release bolts and a pair of high-strength latches to withstand the hypercar’s staggering acceleration capabilities and aerodynamic forces at extreme speed. The lightweight roof panel weighs a mere 18 lbs (8 kg), making removal and installation easy for one person.

Owners may choose to store the panel in a bespoke Merino wool travel bag or as a standalone work-of-art on a custom-made, sculptural pedestal – devised by Hennessey’s in-house design team to enhance the ownership experience. The roof pedestal, crafted in carbon fiber like the roof panel, mirrors design themes from the Venom F5 Roadster. Viewed from above, its ‘blade legs’ trace the shape of the car’s rear decklid, while the side profile uses the hypercar’s bodyside air intake form for inspiration. In addition, the sharply angled, streamlined stand displays the ‘Venom F5 Roadster’ script on the front face of the base in the same eight-microns thin aluminum as the car’s ‘H’ nose badge.

The Venom F5 Roadster features a new tempered glass engine viewing window. This panel, in the middle of the rear engine cover, spotlights the massive ‘Fury’ V8 engine in all its glory. Its engineering was no simple task – developed and certified for use in jet aircraft. The sizeable glass panel can withstand aerodynamic forces exceeding 300 mph and temperatures beyond 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit (540 degrees Celsius). The detail is extraordinary – the engine viewing window is encapsulated within a removable carbon fiber engine cover that features intricately-milled heat extraction holes that match those in the rear bumper. Additional heat extraction is achieved by dual aluminum air vents, four on each side of the glass panel, which match the vents behind each front wheel.

The Roadster is further distinguished from its coupe sibling by its unique wheels. Forged from aluminum alloy and then milled to perfection, the lightweight wheels feature seven pairs of spokes, each resembling an elongated Hennessey ‘H’. Milled into the outer face of each wheel rim is the ‘Hennessey’ script, mirrored by the ‘Roadster’ script on the opposite side. Owners may opt to upgrade the Hyper Silver wheels to highly polished aluminum – this exclusive finish requires a painstaking process of hand polishing that takes weeks to complete. The wheels are secured with five titanium nuts, an alloy revered for its strength, heat tolerance, corrosion resistance, and extremely low mass.

Hennessey’s Venom F5 Coupe was engineered from the outset with an open-top version in mind, so only minor adjustments were required to deliver coupe-rivaling chassis rigidity, strength, and stiffness – this ensures that drivers may access the same crisp handling characteristics as the Venom F5 Coupe with or without the roof in place.

As with the Venom F5 Coupe, discerning Roadster buyers may specify any exterior and interior color combination or leave areas of the Venom F5’s carbon fiber chassis and body panels exposed. Opting for either a gloss or satin finish allows the stunning woven composite to be appreciated fully (pre-exposed areas of carbon fiber on the Venom F5 Roadster are standard, as they were on the Coupe). The same minimalist yet high specification of the coupe model is retained within the passenger cabin.

“It’s exciting to see the continued innovation from Hennessey from the test track to the road,” said Steve Reindl, President of Shell Lubricants Americas. “We share a passion for performance, and our co-engineering alliance provides us with an extreme testbed for Pennzoil in some of the fastest road cars.”

The Venom F5 Roadster will be manufactured in Texas in an exclusively low volume of just 30 units (this approach of guaranteeing a unique ownership experience saw the 24-unit Venom F5 Coupe production run sell out shortly after its appearance at Monterey Car Week in 2021). Roadster production begins in late 2022, with validation of the model’s high-speed capabilities set to occur as the production rate levels out.

Hennessey Special Vehicles has priced the new Venom F5 Roadster at $3 million, with each of the 30 personalized examples individually commissioned to its owner.

  • Hennessey: 30 years of high performance

2021 HennesseyBuilding the world-renowned tuning business on the basis of strong family support is definitely the greatest thing that happened to John Hennessey. Back in 1991, he modified his 300GT VR4 daily driver and competed in the Pike Peak’s Hill Climb and Nevada Open Road Challenge races. Alongside modifying his vehicle, John also married the love of his life in this same 1991 and together founded a business that changed the face of motorsport tuning.

Shortly after founding the company, Hennessey turned his attention to boosting the performance of the new Dodge Viper. By 1997 he achieved an important accolade with his 650hp Hennessey Viper Venom GTS being the first to break 200mph. Since 2006, the company has included its own test track near its headquarters, and engineers are constantly tweaking and testing vehicles that can go above 234mph, for example, the 1000hp Ford GT and the HPE 600 Corvette C7 that can accelerate to 200mph.

By 2010, the business has built its own hypercar, the Hennessey Venom GT. Based on the Lotus Exige, the 1244hp machine weighs only 2743lb and is powered by a turbocharged Hennessey V8 that allows some pretty fast sprints: the vehicle is capable of accelerating from 0 to 200 mph in mere 14.51 seconds. Furthermore, this particular vehicle managed to set a Guinness record for the fastest 0-300kph time (13.63 seconds) in 2013, then set a new one in 2014, becoming the fastest production vehicle in the world with a top speed of 270.49.

The vehicle then presented another project – the 600hp Hennessey Velociraptor, generating 1000hp. Alongside this hyper track, the Hennessey team continued its work with models like 1000hp ZL1 Camaro – named The Exorcist – raising the profile of the business further still.

  • Hennessey Performance Strikes Again. This Time the Lucky Vehicle is Ford Mustang! [VIDEO]

2016 Hennessey Performance Ford Mustang GT350Mustang has finally revealed some information about the performance rates of the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelb GT350 and GT350R. As you might know, both vehicles are limited to only 50 units and both of them showcase some incredible performance stats.

However, many people were still not satisfied about what is written on piece of paper and they did want real performance show. And they got one. A pretty tough one. And luckily, there is a sweet video that reveals more about vehicles’ nature and improvements. However, let’s check out why these two bad boys are so popular, shall we?

2016 Hennessey Performance Ford Mustang GT350

Honestly, there are not any significant exterior changes and tweaks that require special attention, nor there are any in the cabin, so we directly step into the most interesting part: the drivetrain system. Generally, there are a total 808hp (602kW) at 7,800rpm and 657lb-ft of torque at 4,600rpm of power output. Massive, isn’t it? I am pretty sure that you do want to know the final results of the tests. Here they are: the vehicles accelerate from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in mere 3.3 seconds and cover the distance of ¼ mile in mere 10.8 seconds.

  • Street Fight Mode: 707 HP Hellcat versus 850 HP Hennessey Hellcat [w/videos]

707 HP Hellcat vs 850 HP Hennessey Hellcat Street Fight YouTube Image

Hennessey shows the potential of its HPE850 Hellcat

It is clear that the stock Hellcat is a very cool muscle car. But it is also as plainly as anything that the modified Hennessey HPE850 Hellcat is better than any production version. But have you ever asked yourself, what exactly would happen between those two in a Street Fight. You don’t have to wonder anymore, because Hennessey Performance ha shot this amazing “Street Fight video”.

The Hellcat is probably one of the Seven Wonders in the automotive world. It looks great, has that muscle car stance and performance and it features attitude. Maybe, it is not everybody’s cup of tea, but hey, we live in a free world. And it is exactly what I like.

For those wanting more from their muscle car cat-beast, Hennessey Performance has produced the so called HPE850 Upgrade. As the name shows, it boosts the power of the 707hp Challenger to the potent 850 hp and this happens at 6,200 rpm.

    httpv://youtu.be/Z9BlC6l4S0Q

Here’s the boring information: the upgrade comprises of new ECU and upgraded tuning software. By the way, you can see the chassis dyno testing in the second video featured in this post. Going back to the point, the HPE850 also adds high flow air filter element, lower pulley upgrade that increases boost by 1-2 psi, port matched throttle body, Hennessey embroidered head rests for the interior as well as Hennessey and HPE850 exterior emblems. As usual, the performance company has featured serial numbers on the dash plaque and plaque in the engine compartment.

At last, we all know that the Hennessey Hellcat HPE850 was going to win. Maybe the point in this video was to show how much faster Hennessey’s variant is.

Back in 2014, the company has made a spectacular record-breaking speed of the hardtop Hennessey Venom GT, during which it reached a top speed of 270.4 mph (435.3 km/h). These numbers make it the fastest convertible sports car in the world, beating the previous record holder Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Vitesse.

Hennessey Venom GT is not a regular vehicle. It is powered by a twin-turbo 7.0L V8 engine, tuned to generate 1,451 bhp at 7,200 rpm and 1,287 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. A 6-speed manual gearbox by Ricardo puts the entire power down to the rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Venom GT is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2.4 seconds and from 0 to 200 mph in less than 13 seconds.

But there is more to that: Hennessey will produce a limited run of 3 “World Record Edition” Venom GT Spyder’s to commemorate the record run and at the same time pay tribute to the company’s 25thAnniversary.  Each will cost $1.3 million USD.

And here’s the video, where you can see how the record was achieved:

HPE says that the horsepower and torque were increased due to the ability to run E85 Flexfuel which allows its 7.0L twin turbo V-8 engine to increase boost pressure from 19 psi to 26 psi. Putting the power onto the ground are the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. This also happens with the help of GPS-based traction control system. Combined with a curb weight of just 2743 lbs (1244 kg) the Venom GT continues to offer an unmatched power to weight ratio.
