Wheelsandmore Nissan GT-R CrankZilla - Front Angle

Since almost 10 years Nissan drives the renowned sports car manufacturers from Zuffenhausen, Maranello and Affalterbach with their R35 GT-R in terms of longitudinal acceleration to insanity. The all-wheel-driven monster with its V6 bi-turbo engine passes the 100 km/h border in less than 3 seconds. A dream car for the players on their gaming consoles and for acceleration junkies anyway. You can buy it like that and indulge in the mix of adrenaline and endorphins without restraint… Or are you looking for the absolute extra ordinary, an optic to melt away, mouth lock and “ear”- gasm included. Then luxury refiner Wheelsandmore from Baesweiler in Germany with their tuning program for the Nissan GTR is exactly the right expert to provide more “Wows” and “Ahhs” by riding out through the climes.

The standard engine power of 570hp and 637Nm is upgraded at Wheelsandmore in 5 different power levels as follows:
Stage I: Through optimized software and a F1 air filter kit Wheelsandmore generates 605hp and 700nm out of the 2017 GTR engine
Stage 2: In combination with sports catalysts, the tuner achieves 630hp and 800Nm of torque
Stage 3: Combined with modified exhaust system and catalyst replacement pipes the tuner measured 650hp and tight 830Nm of torque
Stage 4: In addition to Stage3, the turbochargers are replaced, other wastegate cans and more powerful gasoline pumps were installed. With sports catalysts and adaptation of the transmission control approximately 700hp and 850Nm were measured
Stage 5 – CrankZilla – As in Stage 4 but with catalyst replacement tubes and with the appropriate software finally 740hp and 900nm were gained.

Of course Wheelsandmore recognized and respects the internet clips of GT-R conversions with over 1000 hp but with 740hp the GTR driving machine is tuned up to the maximum to be handled safe on the track.

The valve flap exhaust system can optionally be ordered without catalytic converters, but handle the gas pedal very carefully when the damper is open, as the system otherwise sounds infernally loud to attract attention …

With the F.I.W.E. wheels the unique german manufacturer of multipart forged rims presents a provocative striking symbiosis of noble, wide and yet consistent. The 3-piece rims turn on the steering axle measuring 9.5×21 inches and on the rear in proud 11.0×21 inches. 255/35/21 and 295/30/21 tires from Continental ensure the contact with the roadway. Wheelsandmore adapted the wheel center finish analogous to the advertising lettering and the brake system in a color mixture of bronze and copper and finalized the rim outer beds with a discreet noble carbon look surface. The optical appearance is rounded off by height-adjustable lowering springs from KW, which reduce the center of gravity of the racer about 30mm.

  • Mercedes AMG GTR Roadster „Hypaero“

2020 Wheelsandmore Mercedes AMG GTR Roadster Hypaero - Side

The Mercedes tuner also installs the tried and tested M178 DE40 AL bi-turbo engine in the AMG GTR Roadster, which provides turbocharged 585 hp from a displacement of 4 liters and speeds up to 317 kmh. With these performance data, certainly only a few people will think about a necessary trip to the tuner. For those who can´t get enough of emotional driving pleasure Wheelsandmore has several performance enhancements in the program joining the speed and power up to 335 kmh. Level 1: A classic optimization of the maps combined with a F1 air filter kit gains an increase in performance up to approx. 650hp and 780nm torque at a price of 2,521 euros Stage 2: The corresponding maps are adapted to the new sports catalytic converters, which leads to an engine output of approx. 670hp and 830nm, price with assembly is 7,479 EURO Stage 3: The components from stage 2 are joined by finely balanced turbochargers with a larger compressor unit – the result is 750hp and 860nm of torque at a total price of 16,723 EURO The focus of all increases in performance is on drive-ability and not the maximum possible increase in performance. Of course, well over 800hp are possible in the AMG GTR, but effort, benefits and suitability for everyday use are then out of proportion, says head of technology at Wheelsandmore Mr. Torsten Pick. Anyone who has ever heard an AMG GTR live also knows why there is no valve exhaust system from Wheelsandmore for the supercar this time…

The optical recognition feature of the “Hypaero” are the matte black F.I.W.E. forged wheels, which Wheelsandmore is still building from 3 individual parts by hand and taylors according to customer requirements in the appropriate color or combination. For the AMG GTR the tuner builds the concave special wheel with TUV approval in the maximum possible dimensions 10.5×20 at the front and 12.5×21 inches at the rear. Light tires from Michelin span in sizes 275/30/20 and 325/25/21 on the exclusive rims. The prices for a complete wheel set starts with original TPMS sensors at 11,513 EURO.

If a manufacturer is able to develop a better chassis than the manufacturer did, then it is chassis leader KW. Together with the engineers from Fichtenberg, a Variant 4 coilover kit with hydraulic lift-up function was developed, which improves the suitability for the racetrack on the one hand through extensive adjustment options and on the other hand offers full suitability for everyday use thanks to the lifting option on the front axle. So much technology and innovation unfortunately has its proud price, to be had from 7,789 EURO without assembly. Installation with the Roadster takes not less than 3 whole working days and costs additionally 1,672 EURO with wheel alignment.

  • BMW Manhart MH2 GTR

“Wait a minute! Haven’t I seen this car before?” This is a question that one or two petrolheads may ask themselves upon seeing the MANHART MH2 GTR. Rightly so, as the family resemblance to the MH4 GTR, based on the M4 DTM Champion Edition, is striking, which MANHART Performance rolled into the limelight last September. So now comes the “little brother”, which in turn is based on a no less high-caliber sports machine.

The basis is the spearhead of the BMW F87 M2 series, the CS. The specialists from MANHART Performance in Wuppertal have also significantly upgraded this limited-edition, lightweight sports car with both visual and technical upgrades.

The MH2 GTR attracts attention with its spectacular looks, where the design references the motorsport sibling, the M2 CS racing, complimented with the MANHART carbon rear wing. Pure track flair is also conveyed by the MANHART carbon fiber fenders with striking air outlets.

MANHART pushes the output of the factory-supplied 450 hp and 550 Nm 3.0 in-line six-cylinder biturbo engine to a whopping 600 hp, which is backed up by a mighty torque mountain of 830 Nm. In addition to a MANHART turbo performance kit and a MANHART intercooler by CSF, including aluminum charge pipes, a MANHART carbon intake by ARMA is also used. The exhaust gases from the twin-turbocharged S55 unit roar through a MANHART stainless steel exhaust system with valve control, which connects to MANHART sports downpipes, with 300-cell catalytic converters (without TÜV, for export only) and flows into four carbon-sheathed 100-mm tailpipes. Finally, the maps were optimized for the new hardware conditions via a MANHART ECU remapping. In order to be able to transmit the power efficiently to the rear wheels, the 7-speed DCU has been equipped with a MANHART transmission upgrade.

Helping the MH2 GTR achieve even more agility and cornering dynamics are the MANHART Suspension Upgrades by H&R, with in-house tuning as well as the in-house produced, Concave One forged wheels in matte black, which were mounted in 9×20 inches with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres in 255/30ZR20 on the steering axle and 10.5×20 inches with 295/25ZR20 tires on the drive axle.

MANHART Performance offer optional individually configurable upgrades for the brake system. This is left as standard on the vehicle pictured.

Rounding off the package, the cockpit has also received some refinements: From the Recaro sports seats, the driver has perfect access to the valance refined with carbon steering wheel spokes from the BMW M Performance program as well as the DKG selector lever upgraded in the same way. A data display integrated into the center console at the position of the left air vent also provides the driver with information on all important engine operating parameters and driving dynamics measured values.

  • McLaren Senna GTR

    2021 McLaren Senna GTR1

Five unique McLaren Senna GTRs, created in celebration of the McLaren F1 GTR race cars that dominated the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race in an astonishing display of motorsport achievement that included overall victory, are today revealed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO).

Designated McLaren Senna GTR LM, the five customer-commissioned cars are the latest examples of what is possible when MSO is engaged to undertake unique and bespoke projects. Each is designed and crafted as an homage to one of the five McLaren F1 GTRs that finished the race, crossing the line in 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 13th positions – an unforgettable achievement given that this was the first time McLaren had raced at Le Mans, and coming only three years since its first production road car – the McLaren F1 – had been introduced.

The five cars each wear a bespoke, hand-painted livery that either replicates or pays tribute to the design of each of the 1995 cars. The attention to detail is such that every McLaren Senna GTR LM took at least 800 hours to paint, with individual cars far exceeding that.

“The incredible cars of the McLaren Senna GTR LM collection are an exceptionally fitting way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our Le Mans victory in 1995,’” commented Mike Flewitt, CEO of McLaren Automotive. “That achievement is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest endurance racing performances of all time, but for McLaren its importance was even greater because it demonstrated an immediate and undeniable connection between the racing DNA of our brand and the start of our road car journey.”

Every painted detail on the five cars was finished by hand at McLaren Special Operations. Special permissions were granted by brand owners such as Gulf and Harrods and by Le Mans organiser the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), to recreate logos and trademarks. The roof of each car even features an authentically recreated scrutineering sticker, which is the only piece of vinyl in the livery.

The relationship between each McLaren Senna GTR LM and its F1 GTR predecessor is further fused by the presence of a dedication plaque on the inner surface of the carbon fibre tub denoting each car’s one-off status and its original F1 GTR chassis number identifier. Each car also wears an etched dedication to its Le Mans ‘twin’, including the date of the race, the names of the three race drivers in that car and the position in which they finished.

In addition to the visual power of the liveries and the outstanding detailing, each McLaren Senna GTR LM has a portfolio of exclusive features and technical enhancements that elevate it above the already exceptional track car on which it is based: the McLaren Senna GTR. That remarkable car was engineered to have the highest power-to-weight ratio of any McLaren at the time and aerodynamically optimised to be able to generate more than 1000kg of downforce.

Enhancements to the GTR’s twin-turbocharged, 4.0-litre M840TQ engine include valve spring retainers made from metal matrix composite (MMC) to deliver a 65% weight reduction, higher grade steel for the valve springs and hand-polished, CNC ported cylinder heads.

Recalibration of the powertrain electronics releases power of 845PS – an increase of 20PS over the ‘regular’ McLaren Senna GTR – and revised torque curve characteristics that deliver more torque at lower revs and enable a rev limit set closer to 9,000rpm than the ‘soft limit’ of 8,250rpm.

Other unique LM cues abound. The GTR’s Inconel exhaust system, which exits from the rear deck beneath the rear wing, has been further enhanced by the addition of specially designed LM twin-exit pipes. OZ Racing, which supplied the wheels for the McLaren F1 GTR, created a bespoke, five-spoke GTR LM wheel design. Brake calipers finished in satin gold are another nod to the F1 and the suspension wishbones are in an anodised version of the same colour.

Inside the car, exclusive LM features include a racing steering wheel with anodised gold gear shift paddles and control buttons (in tribute to the McLaren F1’s gold-coloured gear linkage); titanium nitride pedals with LM logos; leather door-pull straps and lightweight carbon fibre racing seats complemented by bespoke headrest embroidery and an MSO six-point racing harness coloured black with body-colour pads.

“We wanted to make a major statement with this collection,’” explained Ansar Ali, Managing Director of McLaren Special Operations. “In creating these incredible cars to the requirements of some of our most discerning customers, we are showcasing the astonishing array of talent we have within MSO – a team that can visualise, design, produce and deliver products that really do take your breath away.

“The McLaren Senna GTR LM project has been a labour of love for nearly two years; we have gone to great lengths not only to perfect the engineering aspects of the cars, but also to gain co-operation from brand holders and partners to maximise authenticity.”

One of those stakeholders is Le Mans itself, in the shape of the ACO. The famous racing club helped facilitate a breathtaking opportunity for the five GTR LM owners. Each one will enjoy a VIP visit to the 24 Hours of Le Mans race with a chance to drive their own GTR LMs around the circuit on the morning of the race, accompanied by the original F1 GTRs that competed in 1995.

“The COVID pandemic has meant that we have had to delay this opportunity until 2021,“  said Ansar Ali. “But each of the owners of these car will still be able to enjoy an unprecedented experience that reflects the unique customer journey MSO is able to offer.”

The cars – five icons reborn

    McLaren Senna GTR LM 825/1

An homage to McLaren F1/01R, often referenced as ‘The Ueno Clinic car’ and the outright winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995

The car bearing race number 59 was driven in 1995 by two-time Le Mans winner Yannick Dalmas, Japanese veteran Masanori Sekiya and former Formula One driver, JJ Lehto.

The race was one of the wettest in Le Mans’ history, which played into the hands of the bulletproof reliability of the McLaren F1 and also the skills of the drivers – especially Lehto, who was so quick in the wet his team tried to persuade him to slow down.

The charcoal grey livery branded with the name of Japanese sponsor Ueno Clinic was not widely recognised at the time but has since passed into legend. The MSO team has faithfully recreated it on the McLaren Senna GTR LM, precisely matching the colour by mixing a new tone dubbed ‘Ueno Grey’ – a fitting tribute to achievements of the car, and of course its three drivers.

This car has been very authentically reproduced from the original race-winning F1 GTR, echoing every last detail right down to recreating car 59’s unique driving lamps, which have been specially commissioned by the GTR LM’s owner*.

The OZ Racing wheels are finished in matching grey, completing the menacing look that still sends shivers down the spine of race fans 25 years after the chequered flag fell.

    McLaren Senna GTR LM 825/6

An homage to McLaren F1/06R, often referenced as ‘The Harrods car’.

Car number 51, driven by an all-British line up of Andy Wallace, Derek Bell and Justin Bell, might well have won had it not suffered a transmission glitch two hours from the flag that saw Wallace have to nurse the car home in third place.

The car’s famous yellow livery with bold green stripe bore the name of iconic London department store, Harrods – and that prestigious relationship has been reunited for the GTR LM. While the colours have been worn again by a McLaren since the 1995 race – a McLaren P1™ GTR was finished in the livery in 2015 – this is the first time that the famous Harrods logo has been seen on a McLaren for 25 years.

The MSO paint team used a vivid colour called Solar Yellow for the body of the car, and that distinctive wide stripe is applied in Heritage Green, shadowed by a matching green pinstripe and green detailing within the front aero diffuser.

    McLaren Senna GTR LM 825/2

An homage to McLaren F1/02R, often referenced as ‘The Gulf car’

Brazilian Maurizio Sandro Sala joined Brits Mark Blundell and Ray Bellm behind the wheel of the McLaren F1 GTR for 291 rain-lashed laps of La Sarthe in 1995, eventually finishing in fourth place.

Car number 24 had arguably the most iconic livery of any of the cars. The Gulf Racing blue, perfectly reimagined here by MSO as Gulf 95 Blue, fits the McLaren Senna GTR LM seamlessly. Its ‘Gulf 95 Orange’ pinstripe traces the rear diffuser and the imposing shape of the rear wing’s LMP1-style endplates, tracks along the lower sill and unites at the front with vivid orange blades on the front splitter.

The OZ Racing wheels conform to the theme, being finished in equally vivid orange, while the lower sills and roof stripe are painted in Gulf 95 Silver. The actual Gulf Oil logo appears on the bonnet and doors, and a finishing touch is provided by Ayrton Senna’s signature boldly recreated on the rear quarter of the bodywork.

    McLaren Senna GTR LM 825/7

An homage to McLaren F1/07R, often referenced as ‘The Jacadi car’

Car number 50 was run by French-based customer team Giroix Racing. Two French drivers – Fabien Giroix and Olivier Grouillard – joined Swiss pilot Jean-Denis Deletraz to bring the car home in fifth place, just a lap down on the Gulf car.

The unmistakeable royal blue livery was proudly French-themed and has been preserved by the McLaren Senna GTR LM’s new owner by the specification of a startlingly bright colour called Le Mans Blue for the body of the car.  It looks particularly stunning on the GTR LM’s massive rear diffuser.

That blue is complemented by a blue metallic called ‘Polaris’, and further offset by the use of authentic Elf logos belonging to the French oil company which sponsored the 1995 race car. The car is the only one of the five to wear the French Tricolour flag.

    McLaren Senna GTR LM 825/5

An homage to McLaren F1/05R, often referenced as ‘The Cesar car’

Displaying the most intricate livery design of all the McLaren F1 GTRs that raced in 1995, car number 42 finished 13th position, completing the McLaren roll of honour of finishers.

Run by French team Société BBA, the striking car was driven by an all-French line-up of Jean-Luc Maury-Laribiere, Marc Sourd and Hervé Poulin. Maury-Laribiere and Poulin were pioneers of ‘art cars’ and asked renowned artist Cesar Baldaccini to envisage a livery for the F1 GTR they would be racing at Le Mans.

An experienced endurance racer, Poulin’s fine collection of racing trophies became the inspiration for Cesar’s work on the McLaren.

McLaren Senna GTR LM 825/5 is a modern reinterpretation of the livery, drawing in new elements, such as pole position lap times; contemporary race trophies and Le Mans branding cues.

An immensely complex piece of work produced using many techniques – including extensive airbrushing – this was the car that took longest to paint, to the point where MSO stopped recording the time taken. As an estimate, several thousand hours of work were needed to finish the project to exemplary standard that is now so evident.

All five McLaren Senna GTR LMs have now been completed and will be delivered to owners in the United States, Europe and the UK. As with all bespoke commissions created by McLaren Special Operations, their value remains undisclosed unless the owners choose to share this detail.

  • Geneva to See the Birth of Limited Production McLaren P1 GTR

McLaren P1 GTR will premiere alongside the recently announced McLaren 675LT at the Geneva Motor Show on 3rd of March. The car will be dressed in a special livery inspired by iconic McLaren F1 GTR, chassis #06R, making it a very special limited edition. The new design of the supercar pays tribute to the historic yellow and green #06R F1 GTR which was one of the five F1 GTRs that dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans 20 years ago.

There will be only minor modifications to the Design Concept presented just six months ago. The limited edition model will be available to those who will participate in the P1 GTR Driver Programme. The latter will start at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain later this year.

Some of the enhancements after extensive tests and continuous development optimize aerodynamic performance and cooling. For instance, the front track is 80mm wider than the road-going P1 and sits 50mm closer to the ground. In addition, it features more aggressive front splitter, 19-inch motorsport alloy wheels and slick Pirelli tyres.

The lightweight windscreen of the road car has been retained; in contrast to the side windows are which are made of polycarbonate. On driver’s side there is a sliding ‘ticket window. On the roof the glass has been replaced by carbon fibre panels, thus delivering weight savings of 50kg.

There are some significant modifications to the IPAS powertrain made. The heart that beats in this McLaren is the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine with an enhanced lightweight electric motor. Combined, these powerplants generate 1,000 hp (735 kW), from which 800 hp is produced by the petrol engine and 200 hp by the electric motor.

It is also important to mention that the McLaren P1 GTR joins the road-going McLaren P1 in the Ultimate Series. The company has established a three tier naming structure of Sports Series, Super Series and Ultimate Series.

The Sports Series will make its world debut at the New York International Auto Show in April. The Super Series that comprise of 650S, 625C and 675LT will premiere at the Geneva Motor Show.

  • Production McLaren P1 GTR Debuts in Geneva [VIDEO]

We had a glimpse of the interior of 2016 McLaren P1 GTR, and it is now time for the motorsport oriented company to show us little more. With the news that a production-intended P1 GTR is coming to Geneva, McLaren has also revealed pictures from the testing at global circuits in Europe and the Middle East. There is also a video showing the latest stages in the development programme of the car, which is featured below.

The launch of the bespoke Driver Programme happens ahead of the start of production car later this year. As testing continues P1 looks like one of the fastest McLarens that wears the famous ‘speed mark’.

Weight-saving measures have been significant here. Combined with the track-optimisation of the petrol-electric powertrain, the new car is set to boast a power-to-weight ratio in excess of 10 percent (when compared to the road-going model). This means more than 700 PS per tonne!

The team at McLaren did extensive work to achieve this result. Thanks to the motorsport-derived technology and expertise, the track-only model has already covered thousands of kilometres of extreme testing.

The result: the tests pushed the performance of the car to its limits! And also revealed the need to further enhance cooling and aerodynamics over the design concept previewed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance last summer.

This dedicated development programme is continuing at the moment and will do so over the coming months. It aims to additionally tune the performance, aerodynamics, driving dynamics and handling balance. In the forthcoming weeks, new drivers will join the Driver Programme. They will test the car at some of the most iconic racing circuits.

  • McLaren Unveils P1 GTR Design Concept at Pebble Beach

McLaren-P1-GTR-THUMBMcLaren P1 GTR design concept was shown for the first time during a private event at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California. The racing concept is a preview to the final mode. The latter has just entered the next step of development. The P1 GTR will be the most track-focused and powerful model produced by MSO (McLaren Special Operations). In fact, the goal of MSO is to create the best driver’s car in the world on track. The car has enhanced aerodynamics, race-proven slick Pirelli tyres, a fixed ride height, increased power delivery from the IPAS powertrain and large, fixed rear wing and an ERS-style push-to-pass system.

The GTR is based on the McLaren P1 road car, however it is optimized in terms of aerodynamics, features a ‘shrink-wrapped’ body shape, superior handling and enhanced driver engagement on track for maximum performance. Precisely, the front end of the vehicle has been increased by 80 mm and includes more aggressive GT-style front splitter.

The carbon fibre MonoCage chassis is positioned behind the front wheels. It channels the air from around the wheel well. There is also an extra aerodynamic blade, which is mounted behind the wheelarch. It cleans the air from the front tyres. When one looks at the side of McLaren P1 GTR, one sees that it is lower than the road car. This was achieved via the race-prepared suspension with a fixed ride height.

The snorkel air intake is still present within the roof structure of the carbon fibre MonoCage chassis. Another difference is made in the wing mirrors, which are now positioned to the A pillars. In addition, the trailing edge of the door-mounted radiator channels has been extended to draw more air down through the cavity within the door, and into the engine to aid cooling.

P1 GTR runs on lightweight 19-inch motorsport alloy wheels. At the back of the car there is large, twin-element wing which is positioned on the carbon fibre pylons. The hydraulically operated Drag Reduction System (DRS) boosts acceleration performance, and increases levels of downforce.

Below the rear wing there is a centrally mounted exhaust with brand new design and made from inconel and titanium alloy. This system optimizes the output 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 engine, which now delivers up to 1,000 horsepower (735 kW). The design concept which was shown at Pebble Beach event wears a livery inspired by the original F1 McLaren with chassis number 01R.

    • Under the hood, the 3.8-liter V6 engine benefits from the know-how that Nismo has gained from participating in such events as the world-renowned Nürburgring 24 hour race. Engine power has risen and is now rated at 600PS (441kw) and 481 lb ft (652 Nm) of torque.
    • New high-flow, large capacity turbochargers, which are used for GT3 racing, improve breathing, while optimized individual ignition timing control for each cylinder and upgraded fuel pump improve combustion.

    Chassis

    • The springs and custom-developed Bilstein DampTronic dampers in the front and rear suspension are specially tuned to deliver exceptional grip levels and progressive handling response at the limit. Three suspension modes can be selected: Comfort, Normal and R, for circuit applications.
    • Exclusive Nismo tires – developed by Dunlop – exhibit outstanding grip and handling characteristics. Front: 255/40 ZRF20; rear 285/35 ZRF20.
    • Specially-developed links fitted to the front double wishbone suspension increase castor trail to optimize wheel position during high-G cornering and improve straight-line and cornering stability. Additionally, large high-rigidity bolts are used to increase stiffness of the wheel-hub attachment area.
    • To minimize body-roll during cornering and changes of direction, the Nissan GT-R Nismo features a 17.3 mm hollow rear anti-roll bar which raises roll stiffness while reducing weight.

    Body construction

    • Increased rigidity in the bodyshell is achieved using adhesive bonding in addition to spot welding leading to precise suspension response under extreme load, the Nismo “factory tuned” enhancement.

    2. Exterior design – Exclusive styling with improved aerodynamics

    • Using the latest Computational Fluid Dynamic simulation techniques to analyze airflow, Nismo has developed an aero package that improves road-holding, minimizes the negative impact of drag, while giving the car a menacing and muscular appearance.
    • Together, the front bumper, engine undercover strake and carbon rear spoiler increase downforce, lowering the center of gravity and generating an additional 100kg*1 (at 300km/h) compared to the freshly updated 2014 Nissan GT-R model. The car’s aerodynamic characteristics are tuned to ensure the downforce is equally spread front to rear at all speeds for progressive handling characteristics. A widened front bumper configuration and elongated yet tapered rear bumper design keep the drag to Cd 0.26, same with that of 2014 Nissan GT-R.
    • The Nissan GT-R Nismo will be available in four body colors: Brilliant White Pearl, Meteor Flake Pearl Black and Ultimate Metallic Silver. And unique to the GT-R Nismo model, a Dark Matte Grey*3accentuates the car’s imposing exterior muscularity.
    • The GT-R Nismo’s black 6-spoke wheels are inspired by Nissan’s GT-R race car which races in the GT500 class in SUPER GT.

    3. Interior

    • The Nissan GT-R Nismo cockpit inspires driver confidence through both its craftsmanship and optimized driving position.
    • Ergonomically sculpted carbon-fiber-backed reclining RECARO seats comfortably, yet firmly, support the driver and front-seat passenger.
    • Nismo racers influenced the design of the steering wheel which is dressed in Alcantara®, with three spokes, red center mark and red stitching to give the best combination of grip, feedback and comfort.
    • The combi meter has carbon-like finish, and tachometer features a red design. The meter hood is also dressed with Alcantara®.
    • Interior trim features include discreet red stitching on the seats, center console, door trim and steering wheel.

  • Ultima GTR Twin Turbo Charged by Heffner [VIDEO]

Heffner-Ultima-GTR-shadowHeffner-Ultima-GTR-mediumYou May have heard about the Ultima GTR. If you haven’t, all you need to know is that it comes from a small company (Ultima Sports) based in Leicestershire, England and can be ordered as a kit car. It is fiberglassy (light), has a tubular steel space frame chassis, an engine mount in the middle and rear-wheel drive. Best of all, you can slot in a variety of power plants in it and it will still run. Ergo, the Ultima GTR is the tuner’s dream come true.

So, back in November, Heffner sported an Ultima GTR on their Facebook page. The caption claimed a power output of “over 1,000” wheel hp and a weight of just 2,500 pounds. Today we bring you a YouTubic testiment to that. Driving Force Club have laid their hands on it. Well, we are 90% sure that this is the same car, given the green Heffner rear wing winglets and callipers and the same ADV.1 wheels. This one has 850 hp though. Still, the custom twin turbo Ford GT engine it sounds ear-bleedingly good. And hey, it does really weigh as little as 2,500 (almost)

Technicalities aside, just watch these rear wheels struggle for grip on a car that weighs less than a Big Mac:
