Genesis team shared the first official image of the GV80, the first sport-utility vehicle for the brand. The much-anticipated three-row GV80 will be the fourth model in the Genesis lineup, joining the G70, G80 and G90 sedans. And just like its siblings, GV80 will be based on a rear-wheel-drive platform and an AWD system will be an option.
The first images of GV60, which will be supplemented in coming weeks by engineering details, provide a complete picture of the SUV. The interior and exterior styling is a development of the GV80 Concept introduced back in 2017 New York Auto Show.
Of course, there are numerous signature Genesis elements that find their place in the new GV80. Such are the high-tech Quad Lamps, the Crest Grille, Parabolic Line and overall muscular and aggressive stance. The G-Matrix pattern that appears in light fixtures throughout the exterior, along with the design of the wheels, are inspired by orchids seen when diamonds are illuminated by light.
The interior of the vehicle is designed with open space in mind and is characterized by the elegant South Korean architectural aesthetics. Minimalism is the keyword, as it comes to the cabin – every detail is clean and shiny and adds to that cozy and pleasurable interior ambience.

Genesis G70 luxury sport sedan was recognized as the leading Aspirational Luxury Car at the 2019 Ideal Vehicle Awards, presented by AutoPacific, the leading automotive research consulting brand. The event asks owners to consider 14 vehicle attributes that they would like to change and winners are selected based on the lowest desire for change. For the 2019 event there were over 50,000 vehicle owners that contributed to the decision-making process.
The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) awarded the Genesis Essentia Concept with a Gold International Design Excellence Award for Automotive and Transportation. This is brand’s first “Best” award for Genesis Vehicle Design.
In December it was announced that new 2019 Genesis G70 and Essentia Concept machines have both won 2018 GOOD DESIGN awards. Genesis remains a leader in terms of premium drivetrain systems and exclusive interior design ideas and now joins the leading transportation, electronic, consumer and lifestyle product brands by receiving the annual recognition from Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. Genesis G80 Sport and GV80 Concept are the two vehicles that won the awards in last year’s event.
2018 Genesis G80 was named highest-ranked “Near-Luxury Car” at the Strategic Vision Total Quality Awards event. This is the second win for Genesis in the last two years – as you might remember, G90 took home the prestigious “Luxury Car” recognition award home.
2019 Genesis G70 comes with tons of features and solutions that would try to catch the eye of both fans and critics. This is the third model in a lineup that has managed to prove itself as worthy and reliable. And just like all other Genesis vehicles, the new G70 would try to offer some new features and technologies that would mark the arrival of the model in showrooms.

Well, the G90 is not only the first one after the official announcement, but it is also the range-topping and the most luxurious one.
TJIN Edition Hyundai Genesis is rounding out the teaser sketches released by the brand before the official start of the SEMA show in November. Behind this project are the tuners at TJIN and although this is their first official Hyundai vehicle built for SEMA, it promises to be one of the best to see at the event. The experts have been inspired by underground racing, so we are definitely looking forward to seeing it at in the beginning of next week when the show starts.
