Ford has unveiled the new limited edition Fiesta Sport+, which is available exclusively in five European markets.
The small hot hatch is powered by 1.6 liter Duratec Ti-VCT with 134PS (99kW) and 160Nm (118 lb-ft). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds and hits a top speed of 195 km/h (121 mph).
Fiesta Sport+ will be available in the UK, but named S1600 and in Germany, it will receive the name Sport S. The car will be also on sale in Austria, Belgium and Switzerland. (more…)
Ford has exclusively announced the introduction of a special performance edition of its European best-seller – the Ford Fiesta. Dubbed Ford Fiesta Sport +, the limited sports-inspired model is based upon the three-door Ford Fiesta and is powered by an improved 1.6-litre, Duratec Ti-VCT petrol plant that delivers 134 horsepower at 6,700 revolution, with 160 Nm torque at 4,250 rpm. Ken Block and Monster Energy Drink have released a new video, which is taken directly from “the Archive”. The pilot drives Ford Escort Mk2, of course, sideways and at high speed through the woods.
The car is 1978 Ford Escort Mk2 RS1800 powered by 2.0 liter engine with 270HP. It also features wider wheel arches and big headlights.

2012 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet is a new version of the legendary Cobra Jet turn-key racer. The vehicle is based on the 2010 model and features a new 5.4 liter V8 with 2.3-liter TVS supercharger or an optional 4.0-liter Whipple supercharger.
2012 Cobra Jet also comes with Manley H-beam connecting rods, Strange Engineering brakes, a double keyed crankshaft snout, and black anodized wheels with Goodyear tires. (more…)
Another pure track car is coming from Ford – Mustang Boss 302s, which is the latest addition to the Blue Oval’s track car model range.
The vehicle is developed by Ford Racing and features a 5.0 liter V8 32V Ti-VCT engine with 440HP mated to a 6-speed transmission and sending all the power through a T2 Torsen differential at the rear wheels. The car is based on the street version (more…)

The new Focus Race Car Concept is powered by 2.0-liter Ford EcoBoost turbo engine. The car is specially designed to showcase this engine in LA.
It will be used used to compete in various global road and touring car racing championships. the first appearance of the Focus Race Car Concept will take place in the 2011 BTCC – 2011 British Touring Car Championship.
Ford Focus Race Car Concept features FIA regulation safety cage, AST performance coil-over adjustable dampers, Ford Racing upgraded sway bars with adjustable end links and front brakes with 320mm two-piece rotors and race pads for additional stopping power. (more…)
Besides the the new race car concept, Ford also presented at this year’s LA auto show three aftermarket, 2012 Ford Focus Special Edition models.
The first is developed by Ford Vehicle Personalization, the second comes from FSWerks and the third is 3dCarbon.
Hopefully, the three specially developed models will be more tempting for the more demanding customers.
