    2015-Ford-Mustang_thumb2015-Ford-Mustang_651

Ford has announced that the all-new 2015 Mustang has begun production at the Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant in the United States. The new car will go on sale this fall in the United States and in more than 120 countries worldwide, marking the first time this vehicle is available around the world to fans of the Mustang brand.

The all-new 2015 Ford Mustang comes with another first – this time the car will also have a right-hand-drive version too, which means that fans in the United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa and other countries will be able to drive this beast of a car.

“Mustang is and will continue to be an automotive icon,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas. “Expanding its availability globally affords our customers around the world the opportunity to have a true firsthand Mustang experience – one unlike any other.”

The Ford Mustang is a muscle car so a powerful engine is a must. Don’t worry – the 2015 Mustang will come to you with a powerful 5.0-liter V8 unit with an upgraded valvetrain, a new intake manifold and improved cylinder heads for total power output of 435 horsepower (320 kW) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque. In addition to that engine, customers will be able to choose between a 3.7-liter V6 unit and a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that brings state-of-the-art technologies to the new Mustang. For instance, this engine makes use of direct injection, variable cam timing and a twin-scroll turbocharger to deliver the power every Mustang fan expects – 310 horsepower (228 kW) and 320 lb-ft (434 Nm) of torque.

The new 2015 Ford Mustang also comes with a number of other improvements – the new vehicle now comes with all-new front and rear suspension systems. A new perimeter subframe up front helps stiffen the structure while reducing mass, providing a better foundation for more predictable wheel control that benefits handling, steering and ride. In the back you get an all-new integral-link independent suspension with specially tuned geometry springs, dampers and bushings for high-performance applications. New aluminum rear knuckles help reduce unsprung mass for improved ride and handling.

Back in April 2014 Ford celebrated 50 years since the launch of this iconic brand. In this time period the US car maker has sold more than 9.2 million Mustang cars. The Ford Mustang has also been featured in numerous movies, video and music games and more and is the most liked vehicle on Facebook with nearly 8 million likes.

No word on pricing of the new Mustang as of now but we are sure we will have more information later this year.

2015-Right-Hand-Drive-Mustang-THUMB2015 Ford Mustang is already a fact. It has been unveiled months ago and all we are waiting for is seeing it on the streets rolling powerfully. Now, Ford is announcing, that for the first time ever, a right-hand-drive Ford Mustang will roll off a Ford assembly line when the production starts. This is great news because the addition of a right-hand-drive Mustang to Ford’s line-up will allow the famous pony car to be exported to more than 25 right-hand-drive countries. Some to mention are United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa.

The construction of the very first right-hand-drive sixth-generation Mustang has been recently finished. The prototype will be utilized for various development tests which will serve as preparation for car’s entry into the global market in the coming months.

Of course, the United States have been for the latest 50 years the largest market for Mustang on the world. In fact, there have been more than 9.2 million sales since the car’s debut in 1964. For this period of time, more than 161,000 Mustangs have been sold outside of North America.

  • 2015 Ford Mustang comes with an advanced sound system

    2015-Ford-Mustang_thumb2015-Ford-Mustang_651

When you hear “Ford Mustang” you usually imagine a cool-looking, muscle sports car. If you do, you will not be mistaken – the Ford Mustang is indeed a muscle car but the latest 2015 model will come with something more – a really high quality sound system.

That’s right – the 2015 Ford Mustang will be treating your ears with great sound thanks to the installed audio systems, three of which will find their places in the vehicle. The new model can provide you with a standard six-speaker configuration, a premium nine-speaker system with an eight-inch touch screen and a 12-speaker ShakerPro system with a trunk-mounted subwoofer – the choice is yours!

“As our team developed this Mustang, the goal was to improve the car’s fidelity in every respect – from the way it slices through a corner to the way the audio system reproduces the sound of favorite driving songs,” said Dave Pericak, Mustang chief engineer. “The process of rebuilding this car from the ground up allowed us to improve all aspects of the driving experience.”

The installed sound system is not everything, though – the sound inside the Mustang is made better through the body of the car too. The new Mustang comes with a stronger body that is 28 per cent more resistant to twisting than the previous model, which results in less noise. The improved aerodynamics also aids the acoustic environment because it reduces wind noise, especially at highway speeds.

The speakers that the new 2015 Ford Mustang uses are mounted in the doors. The basic audio system configuration uses slimmer and lighter 6.5-inch door speakers that do not need as much travel to produce comparable audio volume, with higher-fidelity mid-range and bass sound. A pair of 6.5-inch round full-range speakers are mounted in the rear package tray of the fastback, or in the quarter panels in the convertible. The more expensive sound systems add a front center speaker mounted in the top of the instrument panel for improved vocal and speech clarity. These systems add a separate 8+1-channel amplifier, and use powerful neodymium magnet speakers to help reduce weight while improving overall sensitivity and sound reproduction. The mid-range nine-speaker system adds a second speaker to each door, separating the low and mid-range frequencies for improved fidelity. Apart from these the the top-end Shaker Pro system that is available on Mustang EcoBoost Premium and Mustang GT Premium brings 12 polymer cone speakers, with a pair of coaxial tweeter/woofers in the rear, plus a trunk-mounted subwoofer for maximum bass response.

Finally the new 2015 Ford Mustang is the first Ford vehicle to feature a high-power, 2.1-amp USB port in the media bin at the base of the center stack to charge various portable devices twice as fast as before.

  • Ford Mustang Engine Range Announced. Most Powerful V8 Produces 435 Horsepower

2015 Ford Mustang includes an optional engine the upgraded 435 horsepower V8. Other engines in the range include the standard 300 horsepower V6, and the brand-new 310 horsepower EcoBoost. Every powertrain can be coupled with either a manual or automatic transmission. The addition of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine brings turbocharging to musclecar’s powertrain lineup. This unit was specifically designed for the new edition Mustang and delivers not only excellent performance but also great levels of fuel efficiency.

Next to the 310 horsepower (228 kW) the car also produces 434 Nm (320 lb-ft) of torque. EcoBoost takes advantage of direct fuel injection, twin independent variable camshaft timing and turbocharging thus producing big-engine power and torque with enhanced fuel economy.

Furthermore, this new engine is the first to utilize a low-inertia twin-scroll turbocharger. The result will be quicker boost response and at the same time lower emissions and better efficiency. The cylinder head include integrated exhaust manifold.

The latter divides the inner and outer pairs of cylinders into each of the two inlet passages to the turbo. In addition, this also eliminates mixing losses and optimizes the pulse energy to the turbine wheel. All in all, the overall result is quicker turbine spin-up and torque delivery.

The separated exhaust ports also extend the time of the exhaust valves in which they stay open. This reduces pumping losses and also minimizes fuel consumption. Enhancements to the Mustang EcoBoost engine include: forged-steel crankshaft, piston-cooling jets, steel piston ring carriers, premium bearing materials, upgraded valve seat materials, forged-steel connecting rods, high-pressure die-cast aluminum cylinder block with ladder-frame bearing caps and deep-sump, die-cast aluminum oil pan.

The must powerful unit in the 2015 Mustang is the V8 engine. The 5.0-liter unit has undergone many upgrades which help it work better in higher speeds. The key of the enhanced power and torque lies in the air which gets into the cylinders and exhaust.

In details, the focus in the development of the potent V8 features larger intake and exhaust valves, revised intake and exhaust camshafts, stiffer valve springs that ensure valves close completely at high rpm, new cylinder head casting, sinter forged connecting rods that are lighter and more durable for high-rpm operation, redesigned piston tops and rebalanced forged crankshaft that support higher-rpm operation. The result is impressing: an output of 435 horsepower (320 kW) and 542 Nm (400 lb.-ft.) of torque.

Each of the three engines in the range can be mated to an entirely manual gearbox or refined automatic transmission. The manual gearshift has a new shift linkage design and is positioned closer to the driver.

The other option is the SelectShift six-speed automatic transmission that includes wheel-mounted shift paddles with rev-matching downshifts as a standard. It also includes a redesigned case with cast-in ribs, which makes it stiffer and lighter.
