It roars and fumes and crosses the streets of Los Angeles like it owns them. This is the 1965 Ford Mustang modified to hell with 4-wheel drive! If the entire city could belong to it, why couldn’t the car have the whole world too? Well, it probably could as the recently launched video of the mind-blowingly good performance of the custom-made Mustang already circles around the history of people’s browsers worldwide. The beast is powered by Roush Yates 410 cubic inch Ford V8 engine that boosts the WOW-ing 845 hp and 720 lb-ft with individual throttle bodies. The monstrous Ford Mustang has 6-speed Sadev SC90-24 all-wheel drive transmission with a hydraulic handbrake system as well as custom ASD Motorsports-designed geometry and elements. The outstanding (yet in a way too ornate) 1965 widebody Ford Mustang is created by Ken Block, Hoonigan and RTR. There is ASD Motorsports full tubular chassis, ASD Motorsports custom roll-cage, door bars and front/rear suspension mounts and, finally, RTR carbon fiber body panel. The muscle car benefits from fifteen52 three-piece R40 18- x10.5-inch wheels with Pirelli Trofeo R, 295/30R18 tires that are modified with custom Ken Block compound. In the video we see Ken’s 1965 Mustang powerfully exiting a cloud of emitted fumes. And as it exits, it looks like a carnivore that is ready to eat on your flesh. Figuratively speaking of course. Screams down the streets of LA, the Mustang covers every corner with such precision and acuteness that would make the edge of a knife feel as soft as butter. This is definitely a performance which will either make your heart beat ten times faster or will make it stop in a gasp of amazement (Or might just make you wonder what the hell?!).If you still have not watched the video, just click on the link bellow.httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qanlirrRWs

Shelby is Back: The Legend Shelby Ford GT350 Mustang Revealed!

The legend returns! Yes, finally we have seen the Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang and we are delighted to inform you that it will be driven by the 5.2-liter V8 engine which produces more than 500 horsepower. This makes the most powerful naturally aspirated Ford production engine ever! As a true Shelby model, a lot of advanced materials have been used for its construction. The Mustang got MagneRide dampers, aggressive brakes and finely tuned aerodynamics.2015 GT350 builds on Carroll Shelby’s original idea to transform the “every-day” car into a dominant road racer. From Shelby have assured us that driving enthusiasts can expect to be treated to the most balanced and exhilarating production Mustang yet.
Since balance is the key theme her, engineers took an innovative approach with GT350. They haven’t developed independent individual systems, but optimized every component and shape to work in concert, and at the same time paying rigorous attention to detail.
Under the hood sleeps the 5.2-liter engine, which is the first-ever production V8 from Ford with a flat-plane crankshaft and is the most powerful naturally aspirated production Ford engine ever. It produces more than 500 horsepower (368 kW), with a torque peak more than 542 Nm (400 lb.-ft.). The unit is coupled with lightweight six-speed manual transmission.
The front stiffness of the GT350 is further improved with injection-molded carbon fiber composite grille opening and optional lightweight tower-to-tower brace. Compared to Mustang GT, the front track has been increased while spring rates and bushings have been recalibrated all around, with ride height reduced.
The stopping power is ensured by the brakes which are two-piece cross-drilled iron discs mounted to aluminum hats. At the front are massive 394-millimeter rotors clamped by Brembo six-piston fixed calipers with integrated caliper bridges, while 380-millimeter rotors at the rear utilize four-piston calipers.
This Shelby creation runs on 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, which measure 10.5 inches in front and 11.0 inches in the rear. They are fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Ultra-quick responsiveness is delivered by the continuously controlled MagneRide dampers.
For better aerodynamics, the aluminum hood has been lowered and sloped, front and rear aero elements have been balanced to work together on the track, and the fascia has been resculpted with aggressive lower front splitter.
At the rear of the car we see aggressive functional diffuser doing double duty to increase downforce and provide cooling air to the optional differential cooler. There is also a subtle lip spoiler across the trailing edge of the decklid increases downforce without adding excess drag.
Aluminum front fenders accommodate the wider front track and wider wheel arches. The forward-angled grille is designed with individual openings to draw air through the radiator, high-pressure engine air intake, cooling ducts for the front brakes and, optional with the Track Pack, an engine oil cooler and a transmission cooler.
Inside, the interior is focus-driven. First to mention are the specifically developed for Shelby GT350 Recaro sport seats with a unique cloth. The flat-bottom steering wheel makes it easier for the driver to get in and out, and is more ergonomic on the racetrack. In addition, gauges have been also modified, while the chrome and bright finishes have been reduced or eliminated.
In terms of technology, the car employs the advanced technology inherent to Mustang. For example, the integrated driver control system, the ABS, stability control, traction control, steering effort, throttle mapping, MagneRide tuning and exhaust settings. There is also an optional Tech Pack offered, which includes power leather-trimmed seats, Shaker Audio, 8-inch MyFord Touch LCD touch screen and dual zone electronic temperature control.

Chip Foose’s SEMA Mustang Awarded “Best of Stand Design”

What has slipped through our fingers this SEMA show is the project presented here. Do you know who Chip Foose is? If you don’t: he is an automotive legend and hot rod hall of famer for his incredibly creative and unique designs. So it is no surprise that his design for the event was unique and that it deserves some attention. The project is based on a 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible, and by far we haven’t seen many cabrios at this year’s SEMA.Foose entirely overhauled the exterior of it with parts from the MMD by Foose collection. The goal of this action was to give the car a sense of the hot rodding culture that Chip is all too familiar with.
To be more precise, the front of the Foose Mustang is highlighted with a lower front chin spoiler and hood scoop. These two elements keep the clean look of the S550 Mustang and at the same time they also give it more individual appearance.
Furthermore, thanks to the used side scoops and a rocker panel the Mustang got a brand new side appearance. Its lines became more pronounced, and more importantly draw the attention of the on who’s looking at the rear spoiler.
Another interesting fact is that Ford awarded Chip Foose the “best of stand design” with this ’15 convertible. The greatest news however is that the used MMD parts will be available for customers, which will have the opportunity to customize their own 2015 Mustang.

Ken Block Unveils the EXCLUSIVE Hoonigan Ford Mustang RTR

We haven’t seen a tuning like this for a long time. The Hoonigan Ford Mustang RTR by Ken Block is breath-taking at first glance and I’m sure you are going to fall in love with it as I did. The muscle beast was showed for the first time at Ford’s booth at this year’s SEMA Show. As you can see the project is completely unique. It is based on world’s first performance all-wheel drive 1965 Ford Mustang notchback, and is a result of the collaborative effort between Block, Hoonigan and RTR.The pony car was heavily modified by RTR and ASD Motorsports and is powered by a 410 cubic inch Roush Yates V8 engine which boasts 845 hp (621 kW) and 976 Nm (720 lb.ft)!!! This force is coupled with a one-off six-speed Sadev SC90-24all-wheel drive system, featuring a hydraulic handbrake system.
Block unveiled that he and the other teams have been working on this project for more than two years. And now it has come fully to fruition. The racer will be competing with the special Mustang at the Gymkhana SEVEN, and by far, I must say, this is the best Gymkhana car we have ever seen.
The suspension of the special car is delivered by ASD Motorsports, as well as the full tubular chassis, custom roll-cage, door bars and front and rear suspension mounts. RTR made the carbon fiber body panels, while the wide body of the car was designed by RTR, Ken Block and Hoonigan.
We can’t pass by the fifteen 52 three-piece R40 wheels in the size of 18” x10.5”, which were fitted with 295/30/18 Pirelli Trofeo R tyres. All in all, this bad boy has made our day: it is one-off, absolutely adorable and has a lot of power and potential to show. Good work Hoonigan!

King Cobra Parts Package for 2015 Ford Mustang GT Depicted at Sema Show

There is no question that the newly built 2015 Ford Mustang GT with exclusive Ford Racing performance parts is one of the most striking hits at this year’s Sema Show. What is the best part about it? Since it is built with the initial idea to be a high-performance street-and-drag strip car, the King Cobra can be duplicated by anyone who owns Mustang with the help, of course, of Ford Racing’s extensive parts catalog.
As usual, Ford once again has pushed the boundaries of its productivity and has achieved some spectacular results with the King Cobra package for Mustang GT. The car is equipped with Ford Racing’s “Drag Pack,” “Handling Pack,” and “Super Pack” supercharger kit that helps the King Cobra produce about 200 hp more than Mustang GT’s 435 hp.
Nevertheless, the most important component of the Super Pack is the 2.3L Twin Vortices Series (TVS) supercharger assembly which is a product of the cooperative work between Ford Racing and ROUSH Performance. In combination with the supercharger, there is a six-rib belt drive system, air inlet system, electronic throttle body, fuel rail, high-flow fuel injectors, intake manifold, complete air-to-liquid intercooler system and, last but not least, Ford Racing performance computer calibration.
On top of this, there is the scale-filled cobra-skin paint contours which are synonym for originality and creativity. With the black, gold, and red shades that fade into one another, the wow-factor is pretty obvious. 2015 Ford Mustang GT King Cobra, then, is bold, stunning and, really, one of a kind!

2015 Ford Mustang RTR is Fast and Furious with 725 Horsepower

Since they were shown in the summer just as “teasing” sketches, we’ve been waiting for the SEMA show impatiently. Of course we are talking that passionately about a custom muscle car based on the Mustang of 2015. The tuner releasing the project is called RTR which for only five years (since its birth) has rapidly become one of the most popular automotive brand names worldwide. In August, the customization has released info that they are to built a 2015 Ford Mustang based RTR Spec 1 and Spec 2 packages. Now the details about them are revealed officially. Both packs feature the following modifications, which concern only the external appearance of the car: Spec 1 and Spec 2 chin spoiler, rear spoiler, rear diffuser with side splitters, rocker splitters, upper grill with integrated lighting as well as lower grill.
Of course, there is also a performance upgrades that come on the top of the appearance modifications of the Spec 2 package. Here are the new adjustable amperes and sway bars as well as lowering springs.
Magnaflow ensured that there is enough sound in the air around the car by delivering the exhaust system. RTR added also optional supercharger and cold air intake system. The engine was tweaked and the result is super exciting: 725 horsepower (533 kW) generated from 5.0-liter V-8 engine with a supercharger attached.
2015 Ford Mustang RTR will go on sale in January next year through only select Ford dealerships around the globe.

Petty’s Garage Ford Mustang to Debut at SEMA Show

In two weeks Ford is bringing performance oriented Mustangs to the halls of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show. Among the modified Mustangs will be the Galpin Auto Sports version, as mentioned earlier today, as well as versions by other tuners such as Roush, Petty’s Garage, MRT and many more. The performance specialists will not only show how they have boosted the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine sleeping under the hood of the pony car, but also will demonstrate newly developed aftermarket parts which enhance its track handling.Petty’s Garage will also be among the featured customizer at the show. It will be bringing a Mustang wearing Richard Petty’s famous blue paint and a discrete No. 43. The secret about this number is that this is Petty’s car number in his NASCAR days. In addition, this car will be equipped with Roush’s supercharged V8 engine.
Ford has also stated that this particular model will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson and the proceeds will go to the Victory Junction. The latter is dedicated to helping chronically ill children attend summer camp.
2015 Ford Mustang features new independent rear suspension and multilink front suspension. They have been both improved by Roush and Steeda. SEMA will also see plenty of 5.0-liter V8s roaring around. The spotlight however will be on the new 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine.
The unit not only provides an entirely new platform for experienced turbocharging specialists, but also delivers stunning 310 horsepower (228 kW) and 434 Nm (320 lb.-ft.). Another secret revealed by Ford is that there are several tuners which will be on hand with high-powered versions of the new turbo four-cylinder.

Galpin Auto Sports Reveals SEMA-bound Ford Mustang

The SEMA-bound Galpin Auto Sports Ford Mustang is a special vehicle which comes to celebrate the golden anniversary of the production Mustang. The modified pony car features a special gold theme, enhanced engine, custom LEDs and other intricate tweaks. Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) is the tuning arm of the largest Ford dealer in the United States. 2015 GAS Mustang embodies a golden anniversary design philosophy and will be of course premiered at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show.At first the tuners gave a facelift to the iconic model via a new front fascia, which was restyled to match the three strakes found in the factory headlights. In details, the new headlights now integrate LED turn signals and turn on in sequence to match the rear turn signals. In addition, there have been also installed a carbon fiber front splitter and rocker panels as well as a more aggressive rear diffuser.
Under the hood of this Mustang is positioned the Whipple supercharger, which has been custom powder-coated to appear gold. It sits atop the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine. The integrated into the hood glass window has the purpose to show off the engine. More importantly, these modifications are not only a cosmetic change, but also signify a boost in the power output. The engine generates the astounding 725 horsepower (533 kW).
Next, the car is also equipped with suspension components delivered by Steeda and new exhaust by Magnaflow. GAS also reveal that with this black and gold idea, they wanted to get the color as close to 24-carat gold as possible. Speaking of which, this GAS Mustang will be running on 20-inch wheels finished in gold. In the same color are also the side sills, brake calipers and badging.
Inside, the same black-gold theme can be found on the entire range of elements which were previously chrome or metallic. Recaro seats are covered with a fabric finished in black and gold, and the headliner is black microsuede. And if you think that the exterior is finished in paint that appears black, then you will be surprised to see that it is actually filled with gold metallic flecks.

The 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 – raw power for all car enthusiasts
If you look back in time you will easily discover a number of popular, even iconic muscle cars. Today many of them still serve their owners and each one of them has a story to tell. But did you know that there are muscle cars, situated on top of muscle cars? That is, they are improved versions? Like the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 that’s an enhanced version of the regular Ford Mustang of that age? Don’t worry if you failed this little test – now we are going to tell you something more about this great car.
Just like many cars in its class the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 has a story to tell and it’s a long and interesting one. Designed to compete in SCAA’s Trans-Am series, the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 carries strength and adrenaline in its veins right from the start. The car is an improved, more powerful version of the standard Ford Mustang of that time period and it even features a few more upgrades compared to the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302, which was the first model ever produced. Despite all the years that have passed by the importance and popularity of the car are still here as the Ford Mustang Boss 302 was once more produced as a modernized model in the years 2012 and 2013.
But what makes the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 such an icon? The answer is simple: everything! The car is a powerful animal even for today’s standards and do we need to tell you how valued it is nowadays? Built in limited numbers 40 years ago the vehicle is a hotly contested item if you happen to see it somewhere for sale and highly valued by collectors who keep one such Mustang here and there. The improvements featured in the 1970 year model add some spice to the picture too. The car is powered by a 4.9-liter V8 gasoline engine that outputs 290 HP (213 kW) and 290 lb-ft (393 Nm) of torque; the same engine is found in the year 1969 model. But like we said, the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 has been touched here and there. For example the car comes with a diameter reduction of the intake valve from 2.23 inches (5.66 cm) to 2.19 inches (5.56 cm), which increases low-end torque for slightly better initial acceleration. Another change from the year 1969 model is that there is an increase in the engine compression ratio too – from 10.5:1 to 10.6:1. The most important change regards the water pump – it is moved to the driver’s side, which also means changes in the radiator and the plumbing. The pump features 0.75-inch ball bearings to improve durability and a ceramic-faced impeller seal. The rest of the engine changes include an updated pulleys system, new accessory brackets, a new vibration damper and more. What’s even better is that even nowadays, more than 40 years after the debut of the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302, there are engine parts everywhere so fixing the engine in case of need should not be a problem.
An engine is nothing without a transmission so here it is – the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 features a 4-speed Toploader manual transmission but don’t hope to find one with an automatic gearbox as it was never offered even as an option. To make things a bit more interesting Ford offered the manual transmission in two versions – with wide-ratio or with close-ratio; both are easy to identify by code – close-ratio is code 6, while wide-ratio is code 5. Both of them offer a Hurst T-handle shifter. The transmission is said to be very durable as with time passing by it became the basis for today’s NASCAR Jerico transmissions. Even if you encounter problems, you can easily rebuild it – parts are plentiful and a master repair kit costs only around USD 140.
A powerful engine needs powerful brakes or otherwise how will you stop? Well, the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 provides them. The car has power front vented discs that are strong enough to stop the car that weighs 3200 pounds (1453 kilograms) from 60 mph (97 km/h) to zero in just 112 feet (34 meters). You’d better wear a seat belt or you’ll fly through the windshield if you attempt this somewhere! The rear brakes are cast-iron drums – an industry standard. Just like all other car systems that we have mentioned so far, the brakes can be easily serviced – you can find pads, new drums and cylinders for much less than USD 100. In addition to that you can find rear brake disks in aftermarket shops.
We can’t continue the description of this great car if we don’t say a few words about its chassis and interior. The chassis of the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is also a bit upgraded thanks to its Trans-Am origin. The car features “competition” suspension that consists of an independent front, tube shocks, coil springs rated at 320 lbs/inch and an anti-roll bar. There are rear leaf springs and staggered tube shocks that handle the rear load and an anti-roll bar that is not included in the year 1969 model. Unfortunately the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 does not come with power steering as standard; available as an option it does not require much else than standard maintenance.
The description of this great and iconic car will not be complete if we do not say a word about what you will find inside the car. The 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is a muscle car but it knows how to be gentle and that’s why it treats you with a comfortable interior. Colored in black as standard the interior offers high-back, vinyl-clad bucket seats and instrument gauges that fit the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 as a muscle car. The only things that are missing are the full-length console and the tach and trip odometers but they were offered as options back in the day. If you are lucky enough you will be able to choose among different colors for the full-length console too. On the outside you will find faux vents that underline the racy front end, reflective back stripes that come out of hood stripes at the aft edge, Boss 302 decals and other similar goodies. After all a muscle car does have to look like a muscle car, right?
The 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 does look and feel great, doesn’t it? Unfortunately like with everything else we have to go back to real life. Only 6318 such Mustangs were produced decades ago and as you can imagine they are hard to find nowadays. Even if you encounter one of them prepare to spend between USD 46,500 and USD 105,500 on the car depending on its condition and looks. This is not cheap but at the same time the car is worth it. You not only get a muscle car, you get a living icon. If the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is your dream, then go for it – after all dreams exist to get fulfilled, don’t you think?

2015 Saleen 302 Ford Mustang to Pump Out 640 Horsepower

2015 Saleen 302 Ford Mustang was shown for the first time with a single picture in the beginning of July. The response of course was resounding. Saleen team is now stating that they are working hard to bring the next vehicle in the lineup to life. Since this is the firs new Mustang model for almost 10 years, the company is expecting an exciting time for the Mustang community when the S302 premieres. As the official unveiling approaches, the customizing specialists have released the features and specifications for the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang (the full list is featured in the gallery below). Next to the features and specifications data, the company has also released another image of the car, showing a profile view. It definitely gives an enhanced perspective on what we are to expect.
But the most important question here probably is how much horsepower will this enhanced Ford Mustang produce. The standard production V8 engine is rated at 435 horsepower (320 kW) and 542 Nm (400 lb-ft). Saleen expects to make better these factory numbers and add 15 hp and 10 Nm, making a total of 450 hp (331 kW) and 555 Nm (410 lb-ft) in naturally aspirated form.
With the advantage of a supercharger, the pony car will pump out the numbers to 640 hp (471 kW) and 765 Nm (565 lb-ft). Either of the engines will be coupled with a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
This Ford S302 will be offered in a convertible or a coupe form, and will come in three trim levels – White Label, Yellow Label and Black Label. The first one features the naturally aspirated engine, while the other two trims benefit from the supercharged unit.
The White and Yellow trim also add upgrades like a new exhaust system and limited-slip differential, as well as improved suspension, heat extractor hood and rear wing. On the other hand, the Black gets center induction hood, side skirts, a new rear fascia integrated with the exhaust system. It also added more suspension upgrades, illuminated sill places, leather and Alcantara seats.
