  • Gloss Davinci Red Redefines Simplicity for this Ferrari 458 Italia

SR Auto Ferrari 458 Italia Front ViewIt seems that Gloss Davinci Red is the favorite color of the Canadian tuners at SR Auto Group. Or at least their last two projects show this tendency. This time they have released a special edition of a Ferrari 458 Italia, which has been fitted with exclusive PUR 8IGHT wheels.

And did you know that the goal of the PUR 8IGHT when it was released years ago was to bulk up and shed away the unnecessary weight and to be as efficient as possible? Well, the goal was achieved and it was possible to translate it to the performance super cars like this Ferrari Italia.

As we can see from the released images, the car is dressed in black exterior paint finish and features these amazingly shiny red wheels with simple five-spoke design. Their color is called Gloss Davinci Red. The alloys are sized 21×9 at the front and 22×12 at the rear. We also see that they are coupled with low profile rubbers.

Furthermore, the vibrant ‘pop of color’ adds a level of contrast to the simplistic design, but also makes more space for the brakes by emphasizing their size and complementing their color. In other words, these wheels seem as the perfect addition to the non-intrusive design of the 458 Italia.

And speaking of which, Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by the naturally-aspirated, direct-injection 4.5 litre V8 engine, which produces 578 horsepower (425 kW) at 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. It reaches a maximum speed of 320 km/h (198 mph).

The acceleration time which this Ferrari has for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is under 3.4 seconds. The power of the 458 Spider is transferred to the road by Ferrari’s class-leading dual-clutch F1 paddle-shift transmission through the sophisticated E-Diff. It is definitely a car to ride. Enjoy the pics!

  • Lithfield Bring Even More Confidence for Ferrari 458

The well-known super-tuner Litchfield has announced details for the enhancement packs for the Ferrari 458. What the tuner adds is some noticeable boost in power and torque, as well some additional improvements on the exhaust note. Nice.

The Ferrari 458 pack has been developed and tested for many months and countless miles just to provide that sweet addition in terms of performance and power. And in order to deliver just exactly what clients wanted, Litchfield team developed a balanced remap and exhaust pack which will deliver additional 44 hp (32 kW) and 17 lb ft of torque over the standard offerings.

And having developed numerous conversions for the 458 Speciale, Litchfield used the basis of the Akrapovi exhaust system. It does not only reduces the overall weight with 14.2 kg but also adds a purposeful, sonorous howl to proceeding thanks to the titanium construction. How cool is that? And when allied to the ECU remap, its superior character and CNC mandrel bent curves help to take the overall of 551 hp (405 kW). Upgrade that will be truly noticeable for the drivers.

And the final touches come in the form of precision. Under the watchful eye of the skilled technicians the 458’s chassis is aligned with special “fast-road” settings to ensure every tire has perfect contact with the read and to deliver optimal steering stability and precision.

So, what you get at the end? A well-known high quality Ferrari vehicle but this time the good people at Litchfield added and some performance upgrades. How cool is that?

  • DMC Creates “Elegante” Aero Kit for Ferrari 458 Italia

2015 DMC Ferrari 458 Italia Elegante South Africa Edition Side ViewWhat happens when a supreme Italian car meets an exclusive tuner like DMC? You are right if you say that the car becomes even cooler, but what I meant by this question is actually the expansion of DMC’s kits over even more exclusive supercars. The current vehicle under attention is the Ferrari 458 Italia, which is bathing in its exuberant red exterior paint.

And although the luxury tuner usually transforms Lambos, the 458 kits it prepares are staring to evoke more and more glances. We have seen in the past how the 458 Italia has been transformed in 458 Estremo or 458 Monte Carlo limited editions. And they are very, very beautiful.

Now, it is time to get introduced to the 458 Elegante, which received a package that carries the same name. The kit was installed by the South Africans at RACE. The result is spectacular and you can view it below!

“Elegante” body kit gives the Ferrari a whole new and aggressive look thanks to the aerodynamic components it adds. These feature front lips and side skirts as well as some other tiny details which not only look great but also support a better road feel.

Furthermore, as you can see each window has been blacked out. This adds the feel of individuality and seclusion. Added luxury is expressed also via the gold-plated five-spoke wheels. In other words: the car looks out of this world, doesn’t it? We can’t wait seeing the next DMC project!

  • SR Auto Teases Future Project on Liberty Walk Ferrari 458 Italia

Liberty-Walk-Ferrari-458-THUMBSR Auto Group has teased the public with a picture showing what’s new in their garage. And it is a Liberty Walk Ferrari 458. They have announced that this car will stay a little bit longer there because it will be their next big project. Over the upcoming winter months, the tuners will be tackling the task of creating Vancouver’s first Liberty Walk Ferrari 458. No other details were revealed. Enthusiasts can follow the build progress on SR Auto’s Instagram or official web page.

Ferrari 458 Italia by Liberty Walk is perfectly proportioned. As we can see from the released image, the car is dressed in black paint and will feature some amazing shining red wheels, in the dimension of 20 or 21 inches, with multi-spoke design. We also see that they are coupled with low profile tyres.

Some of the key elements of the Japanese tuning that happened first include front bumper and spoiler set, side skirts, and a duck tail rear spoiler. We are not sure whether there will be any boost of the original engine.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by the naturally-aspirated, direct-injection 4.5 litre V8 engine. It produces 578 horsepower (425 kW) at 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. This makes it effortless for it to reach a maximum speed of 320 km/h (198 mph).

Another important number here is the acceleration time which this Ferrari has for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h and it is under 3.4 seconds. The power of the 458 Spider is transferred to the road by Ferrari’s class-leading dual-clutch F1 paddle-shift transmission through the sophisticated E-Diff. Stay tuned for more pictures and details! This promises to be exciting project!

  • New Forgiato Wheels: The Unbreakable

Two questions are circling around my head right now: Is there anything stronger than the wraith of a woman? And is there anything that can resist it? I would have said no if I had not watched the latest advertisement of Forgiato Wheels for their new ‘Unbreakable’ series wheels, staring a Cheating Boyfriend, The Other Woman, The Not-so-one-and-only Woman, and the ultimate sufferer Ferrari 458 equipped with a new set of Forgiato wheels. Ah, did I forget to mention the sledgehammer? Yes, there is a sledgehammer playing a significant role too. A marvelous choice of ‘actors’ that is, right? You cannot help but wonder what the hell is going to happen!? Actually, I take that one back. Looking at the bigger picture, it is in fact quite obvious.

For a great number of famous people including football players, NBA Stars and, pretty much, the whole continent of Asia, Forgiato has been continuously number one choice when it comes to selection of wheels. The company sells aftermarket wheels for different high-end luxury cars that are manufactured in Los Angeles, California. From the released teasing video, the newest models seem very similar to Monoleggera Sport wheels, yet we are not told anything else about them. Left with only a chance for speculations, we can simply observe that the new Forgiato wheels are remarkably indestructible.

You pulled a nice one there, Forgiato! There’s no better way to show how much of a pounding your wheels can take than setting them against an angry supermodel… with a sledgehammer in her hands. You caused a lot of screaming behind the screens and a headache to Ferrari.

Watch the link bellow and be careful not to get a heart attack.

  • Nurburgring Trackday: Ferrari 458 Challenge Making Some Noise [VIDEO]

Ferrari-458-Challenge-Video-mediumHere’s our nomination for the “Best Original Score” award at the Oscars. We highly doubt it’s going to make the cut, but frankly we don’t care. It’s a Ferrari 457 Challenge producing a brilliant soundtrack around the Nurnburgring in Germany.

It’s videos like these that remind us what a tiresome life gearheads around the world are leading. Someone actually had to put this (road-illegal) Ferrari on a semi-trailer, tow it to the track, unload it, fiddle with it, have a go, fine tune it, have a go again, set a lap-time, load again and go home.

The 457 Challenge was first introduced back in 2010. It’s the latest of a series of racing cars for enthusiasts. It’s thinner body panels, carbon fiber bits and polycarbonate windows and windshield make it much more lighter than the road-going 458. It also has a racing cockpit, an integrated air-jack at the back, a racing filler cap and racing rims. In other words, it’s the real deal even though there are no power boosts over the original. Looks good too.

    See for yourselves:

  • Capristo With Another Ferrari 458 Spider

    Capristo-Ferrari-458-Spider-shadowCapristo-Ferrari-458-Spider-medium

There doesn’t seem to be something out of the ordinary with this Capristo Ferrari 458 Spider. Yes, it’s shockingly yellow, but there are no bumpers, or skirts, or diffusers, or wings, stuff that you’d normally find on an after market product. It is an universal truth that the 458 needs little improvement, yet this one does sport a few changes here and there.

Take the engine cover/lid for example – its entirely new. Capristo’s reasoning is that the standard one is too obstructive, hindering the vista of the glorious V8 that hides underneath. This one, as you can see, is rather transparent. Not only that but it now has more vents and bigger air-scoops for an increased stream of cooling air. You’d think that a Ferrari doesn’t need any adjustments in the thermodynamic compartment, but there might be some logic behind the Capristo 458’s flamboyant ports. See, the Sundern-based company also bolted on a bigger airbox from “baked carbon” which, supposedly, increases the torque with 25 Nm.

Add to that a custom-made exhaust system, and you have a brilliantly sounding yellow jacket that stings with 562 hp and 565 Nm. Ouch!

This is not the first time Capristo have enhanced a 458 Spider with their idea of an engine cover
