2016 Camaro Models Come With Outstanding Performance

2016 Chevrolet Camaro 2016 Camaro comes with even lower overall weight and more power. The superior vehicle now weights with more than 177 kg lesser and the redesigned drivetrain system offers outstanding performance.

Chevrolet’s team tests now show that the 455 hp (336 kW) Camaro SS Coupe engine, working in perfect harmony with the all-new eight-speed paddle-shift automatic gearbox, manages to get the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) for only 4.0 seconds and covers the quarter-mile challenge in 12.3 seconds.

Furthermore, the Gen Six Camaro Coupe offers 275 hp (205 kW), provided via 2.0-liter Turbo unit that completes the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 5.4 seconds. And goes through the quarter-mile run for 14.0-seconds. Yep, this one is also impressive.

And along with the 18-inch wheels and Goodyear Eagle Sport all-season tires, the 2.0-liter Turbo grants drivers with 0.85g in cornering grip and 100-0 km/h (62 mph) in 129 feet. Furthermore, the RS pack that includes 20-inch wheels and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric all-season run-flat tires, the 3.6-liter V6 unit comes with 0.89 g and 62-0 mph braking in 124 feet.

In fact, much of Camaro’s performance can be attributed to design team’s focus on reducing vehicle’s weight and improving stiffness. And now it looks like the invested 9-million hours of computational time are enough to make a difference in vehicle’s overall performance. The computer-aided engineering led to a modular architecture program for each model. This all means that the base curb weight for the 2016 Camaro is 167 kg lighter than its predecessor. And the 1SS models is 101 lighter, but at the same time offers more horsepower and 14% improvement in the power-to-weight-ratio

GeigerCars.de Created The Most Powerful Chevy Corvette Z06 Ever!

GeigerCars.de Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the latest project that the experts at GeigerCars.de have been working on. They say that they have created the most powerful Corvette ever and we are about to ‘see’ how they have achieved this. As a matter of fact, there are three specifics about this project. The first one is the power upgrade, the second is the in-house-made body kit and at last, but not least – the lowered suspension.

Power Upgrade for the Envious

Let me tell you the story of this Corvette Z06. It was born in an American family of prestigious cars with a long history. However, it got a brand new quality and it was the updated version of the classic V8. Although the drivetrain was reduced to 6.2-litre for forced aspiration by a 1.7-litre Eaton TVS R1740 supercharger, the Corvette still made it to the 659 hp (484 kW) and 881 Nm of torque! And this is actually the way it got the title “The Most Powerful Corvette”.

And believe it or not, the performance package by GeigerCars.de adds even more to these numbers. After the upgrade, the Z06 became more potent showing 730 hp (537 kW) and 944 Nm (697 lb-ft) of torque. Now what would you say about that!

Suspension Upgrade for the Extra Performance

The next step for the specialists was to add more sense of safety and control to the added performance capabilities of the car. In fact, the suspension upgrade kit that hey have used have lowered the ride height of the Z06 for better handling, grip and aerodynamic stability at speed.

Carbon for the Body

The wedge-shaped lines of the Chevy Corvette Z06 were strengthened in their appearance by the carbon-fibre GeigerCars.de body kit. It makes a real difference in combination with the lowered ride height, and gives the car wider and more aggressive stance.

The new front lip, the small flaps on both edges and the undertray below the front bumper further aid the aerodynamics of the car.

The lower line started by the front spoiler lip is visually continued by the deeply contoured side skirts that help to control air spillage along the car’s lower flanks. Rounding out this special car is the unique wheel-tire combination. At the front we have 19-inch wheels complemented by 285/30ZR19 Michelins and at the rear the combination is 20-inch alloys shod with 335/25ZR20 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 track day rubbers.

1000 Horsepower and Exhilarating Acceleration

To make a comparison, we first have to remind you that the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is powered by a 7.0 liter LS7 V8 engine producing 500 hp (368 kW) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque. HPE800 Empowered Chevy Z06 Corvette Handles the 0-175 mph Testing [VIDEO]

2015 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 equipped with Hennessey Performance HPE800 upgrade has been just tested from 0 to 175 mph at Houston’s Ellington Airport. To make the staggering performance available for the eyes of others, including you, Hennessey also released a video, which displays how the Chevy made things happen. The video is extremely beautiful and this is why I sincerely urge you to watch it!

The not-of-this-earth performance of the Corvette C7 Z06 has been assisted by the HPE800 upgrade. Thanks to it, the engine of the C7 produces the mind-blowing 800 hp (558 kW) at 6,500 rpm.

2016 Chevrolet Colorado Duramax Will Come with GM’s Cleanest Diesel Engine

2016 Chevrolet Colorado Duramax, the world’s fastest-selling truck now comes with additional upgrade: a turbo-diesel engine. This will make the 2016 Duramax’s fuel consumption efficiency even greater. So let’s check out what is going on here.

With engine like the turbo-diesel, the vehicle will be producing 369 lb-ft of torque, via 2.8Liter heart. Furthermore, Colorado’s maximum trailering capacity rises to 7,700 pounds on 2WD models and is expected to take the lead in its class, when it comes to fuel economy. And one more thing. This is the cleanest diesel truck engine, that General Motors has ever created.

The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Duramax will go on sale this fall and will be offered in LT and Z71 Crew Cab models, respectively with 2WD and 4WD. And let’s see what else it will offer, along with the new powerplant unit.

Smart diesel exhaust brake system and standard Hyda-Matic 6L50 six-speed automatic transmission are now part of the standard equipment, along with the Centrifugal Pendulum Vibration Absorber. Furthermore, the Z82 trailering package is standard and includes hitch receiver and seven-pin connector, while the refreshed and restyled integrated trailer brake controller is standard on some and exclusive on other models from the lineup.

The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Duramax will also include a 3.42 rear axle ratio as standard and there is a new, electronically controlled transfer case for the 4WD models.

The engine, as said above comes with 500 Nm at 2,000 rpm and 181 hp (135 kW) of power output. This all means, that the 2016 Duramax is capable of maintaining powerful torque at low rpm, while the turbocharged system provides smooth, yet confident performance at any rpm level. Corvette ZR1 C6 Taking Out Two Mercedes-AMGs? [VIDEO]

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 vs Mercedes SLS AMG vs Mercedes C63 AMG Mercedes-AMG fans will hate this video, because it shows how a Vette C6 literally destroys two AMGs in a drag race. Everything is matter of seconds, but they are in favor of the Chevy. What’s even sad is that one of German-made cars was actually tuned. And can you believe that after the tuning, which gave the C63 AMG the strength of 700HP, it still couldn’t beat the Corvette ZR1?

Well, to be honest there are also some tweaks done on the Chevrolet, like the Stage 2 kit for the engine, which gives it the immense power of 720HP. And this is why it could actually beat the two Mercedes-AMGs. Wonder whether it could do this in case they all have kept their stock outputs? Especially the 570HP SLS AMG. What do you think?

There Are Significant Updates for 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500… That We Fail to See

2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 features bolder looks, with more sculpted exterior, masculine presence that suggests dependability. The other new things are the available Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as the expanded use of the eight-speed transmissions. There is also additional safety technologies featured. And that’s it. It seems that the so called significant changes are not that significant after all.

Having in mind that Chevy’s pick-up trucks are on a roll this year with 32% higher sales for this year, this explains that why we are not going to see much changes in the model. Obviously the company is constantly trying to attract new buyers with minor updates to a good product. That’s not a bad thing though. But how much more could one get, given the fact that more goodies always mean more money?

New Front End Design

Well, this is disputable, since 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 looks like a Chevrolet Silverado 1500, if you know what I mean. But updates regarding the exterior are there: the ‘more muscular’ appearance which is emphasized via the new ‘bold horizontal elements, sculpted hoods and dramatic lighting’, which seems to reflect the strength of the full-size pick-up. Dramatic lightning… oh, come on!

Other Changes

Other changes are applied to the eight-speed automatic, which Chevy claims to be used more in the future Silverado. The company has also added an optional Chevy MyLink with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are also additional safety technologies that haven’t been announced.

Since there is so less to say about this pick-up, I can’t stand behind the words ‘significant changes’ as Chevrolet did. Of course, we will still wait for more data to come and enlighten us, how this vehicle will be actually made better. And please, don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that Silverado 1500 is a bad machine. I am just trying to figure out where these major updates are.

Obviously, I have to wait until this fall, when the redesigned 2016 Silverado 1500 will make its official debut.

See How John Hennessey Drives the 600HP Chevy SS HPE600 Supercharged [VIDEO]

Chevy SS HPE600 Supercharged Front View Hennessey Chevrolet SS HPE600 Supercharged is literally capable of everything, having this capability of pumping out 600 plus horses. In the video below you will se how this unique car, supercharged by Henessey Performance, is driven by John Hennessey himself. He also tells a little bit about the vehicle he’s driving and everything he says is really interesting. And … what a start this footage has!

Originally, the Chevy SS is powered by the 6.2 liter LS3 V8 unit, generating 420 hp. According to Mr. Hennessey, two of the best things about this car are that its engine is linked to a six-speed manual and that the car also features magnetic ride suspension. Production-wise.

HPE600 Supercharged Upgrade

Most importantly, he is actually driving a 2015 Chevrolet SS with HPE600 Supercharged upgrade, which is responsible for more than 600 hp delivered at 6,200 rpm.

To go into details, the upgrade includes 2.3 liter supercharger system and a lot of other “goodies” like the HPE air induction system and the in-house made HPE pulley. The car also received upgrades for the fuel system and high flow fuel injector as well as 160 degree thermostat.

Over this you can opt for additional appearance and performance options like new wheels and tires, upgrades for the suspension and brakes as well as for the transmission and driveline. Changes can be also made to the headers and exhaust. Even the interior could be made better with a lot of custom wrapping, featuring an Alcantara steering wheel.

Chevrolet Cruze And the Ecotech Powerplant In-Depth

2016 Chevrolet Cruze will be geared with General Motor’s latest and greatest Ecotech small-displacement engine lineup. The new engines offer easier to build parts and of course some wonderful performance features, along with improved efficiency.

And now, the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze will be offered in North America with the Ecotec 1.4-liter unit with direct injection. The powerplant offers GM-estimated 40 mpg on the highway and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. And the stop/start technology is included as a standard feature. In fact, there is an optional Hydra-Matic6T3 six-speed automatic transmission. It offers smooth and fast shifts. And it also boosts the efficiency of the vehicle. Cool, isn’t it?

Furthermore, the Ecotec 1.4 has a total output of 153 hp (113 kW) and 240 Nm of torque. It will be offered along with the 1.5-Liter naturally aspirated model, that brings 113 hp (84 kW) and 146 Nm of torque. And it will be matched with a five-speed manual transmission.
