Bentley Names its Upcoming SUV “Bentayga”

The first news for today has nothing to do with the North American Auto Show, but rather with an upcoming debut of highly anticipated SUV. Bentley has finally revealed the name of their upcoming crossover next to a picture which shows its wing vent. Dubbed as Bentayga, this new SUV is going to take luxury to new places and combine it with pinnacle performance. Its design is inspired by the natural world and this is highly visible in the last video teaser we have seen.

In it we have also seen Bentley’s familiar grille that is flanked by circular headlights and inspired by the Continental model. The crossover will also boast front fender vents and muscular rear fenders, roof rails and a unique tailgate as well as hand-stitched leather upholstery.

The natural world also inspired the company for SUV’s name, signifying the dramatic beauty of the Taiga in the north – world’s largest transcontinental snowforest. To the south, the rugged peak of the Roque Bentayga in the subtropical Canary Islands draws attention from all directions and a challenging climb rewards with beautiful panoramic views of an abundant landscape.

It is not confirmed yet, but Bentayga is rumored to be powered by either of 4.0-liter V8 as well as the 6.0 litre twin-turbocharged W12 units. A plug-in hybrid variant is planned for 2017. The twin-turbocharged engine is coupled with an eight-speed transmission and develops 600 hp (441 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.

Bentley Bentayga will be revealed later this year and is scheduled to go on sale in 2016.

2015 Bentley Grand Convertible Offers Redefined Luxury and Style

Can you imagine an ultimate luxury expression in a car? I can. And this is when I think of 2015 Bentley Grand Convertible. The car is truly elegant, sophisticated and distinguishable. It not only stands for class, it exhibits it so visibly that no one can argue against it. The Grand Convertible can really become The Grandest!

Under the bonnet, the 2015 Bentley Grand Convertible hides the well-known Bentley’s 6¾-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. It generates 530 hp (395 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb.ft) of torque. With such power, the car has the passion of life and speed of hell. Almost. This powerful creation of Bentley is a representation of pure excellence. The car is as splendid on the inside as on the outside. Its interior comprises of 4 naturally tanned leather hides that are merged together with progressive-diamond quilting. The form of the pattern shifts and alters over the seats and doors. The cabin is spacious enough and provides room for four adults. Patches of bright blue are used again in order to underline the exclusiveness of the vehicle. There is entirely hand-crafted Sequin Blue thread which is cross-stitched through the linen-colored leather. Around the top of the doors there is a genuine Beluga leather which accentuates the elegance of this Bentley.

Upcoming Bentley SUV is Changing Standards! [VIDEO]

Bentley SUV will definitely change how we all think about all-terrain vehicles. The key word here is “luxury”. According to company’s philosophy, the SUV will be both supremely capable in any environment, as well as supremely comfortable. And this is what we can make as a conclusion from the last teaser video, which has just been released. Thanks to it (by the way you can watch it below), we can see that the upcoming model will feature the familiar grille that is flanked by circular headlights, inspired by the Continental.

What is more, the crossover will also boast front fender vents and muscular rear fenders, roof rails and a unique tailgate. The video clearly shows that this Bentley will be adorned by hand-stitched leather upholstery.

We continue expecting a remake of Bentley EXP 9 F SUV Concept which was introduced two years ago in Geneva. It exudes the same muscularity and robustness, and at the same time bold and dynamic exterior.

Just unlike concept’s engine, which is the 6.0 litre twin-turbocharged W12, the production crossover will be powered by it as well as by the other option: 4.0-liter V8 unit. A plug-in hybrid variant is planned for 2017. The 6.0 litre engine is coupled with an eight-speed transmission and develops 600 hp (441 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.

The new SUV is currently being prepared for production and is scheduled to hit roads in 2016.

Rare 1954 Bentley R Type Continental Fastback to be Auctioned at Silverstone

1954 Bentley R Type Continental Fastback is an extremely rare car. In fact, it is one of the three right-hand drive automatic examples ever produced. The model is going to be part of Silverstone Auctions’ final sale of the year that will take place at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show on the 15th and 16th of November. The car is estimated to cost the future owner between £800,000 and £900,000.

It carries the chassis number ‘BC9D’ and was ordered on the 31st March 1954 by Mr. Alan G Clark. He has done so much about it that he has even bought it a new automatic gearbox as well as several special features. Some of these include electric window lifts, flat petrol tank, Smiths ventilation and heating system and two RD 8187 Foglamps that substitute the standard centre lamp.

The car is a D Series, which means that it is equipped with a larger 4.9-litre engine. It also features lightweight, aluminium coachwork which was being handcrafted by H. J. Mulliner & Co. This Bentley will be sold with an extensive history file for major works undertaken, and as you can see its current owner has maintained it to the highest standard. Some of the refinements include full respray in Shell Grey and mid-blue hide interior and dark blue Wilton carpets.

Bentley Mulsanne Speed – A New Definition Of Fastest And Most Luxurious

The fastest, most luxurious car in its sector is here. The all-new Bentley Mulsanne Speed.

Bentley’s iconic 6¾-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, reinvented for the Mulsanne Speed as well as the signature Mulsanne. Wald International Shows First Image of Customized Bentley Continental GT

Wald International Bentley Continental GT Sports Line is the latest release delivered by the luxury tuning company based in Japan. Thanks to the image revealed we clearly see that they have supplied the Continental GT with aerodynamic kit. Although the customization company didn’t reveal any details about its program for this Bentley, the Sports Line package will clearly feature aggressive lower fascia with a front lip spoiler.

In fact, the design of the car is one of the simplest we have ever seen coming out from Wald International. The new bodykit apparently will also include redesigned front bumper with a blacked out grille and LED daytime running lights.

What is more, there are also revised side skirts which will include air intakes that are positioned ahead of the rear wheels. It is also seeable that the car rides on a set of attractive custom alloy wheels with multi-spoke design.

As the information is scarce, there are no details around any changes in the engine. The Continental GT will probably stay true to its production figures. The car is originally powered by the 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which produces 528 horsepower (389 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque at 1,700 rpm. The powerplant is coupled with a close-ratio ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. All this makes it possible for the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.5 seconds on its way to top speed of 308 km/h (191 mph).

Bentley to present Continental GT3-R at 2014 Pebble Beach

Bentley will debut its Continental GT3-R vehicle at the upcoming 2014 Pebble Beach event, which will be the car’s North American debut. Bentley says that the Continental GT3-R is the most dynamic and fastest-accelerating Bentley ever produced. Continental GT3-R will be a hand-built car and only 300 of it will be built with 99 of them to be sold in the United States and four in Canada.

Christophe Georges, President and CEO, Bentley Motors, Inc. comments: “Pebble Beach is the perfect location for the debut of the rarest and most dynamic Continental GT, the GT3-R. It is a testament to the Bentley trademarks of luxury and performance and we’re excited to share it with the friends of Bentley during this gathering of fine automobiles.”

All the power inside the Continental GT3-R comes thanks to the installed road and race proven 4.0-liter V8 engine. This is a retuned version of the 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine used in the new two-seater Bentley GT. The engine delivers 572 bhp (580 horsepower/426 kW) and 516 lb.-ft. (700 Nm) of torque and makes the Continental GT3-R the fastest-accelerating Bentley ever. The car is now able to reach 60 mph (97 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds and all this is done with an engine that is 220 lb (100 kg) lighter than before.

On the outside the car will offer a Glacier White exterior with two-tone graphics that trace the two prominent power lines to the side profile of the car. A new front splitter provides an assertive look to the front of the car, balanced by a new fixed rear wing fitted to the boot lid – both finished in carbon fiber. Additional unique exterior features adding to the sporting design include gloss black headlamp bezels, matrix grille, window surrounds and bumper strips. The look is complemented by an all-new lightweight 21” wheel finished in gloss black. The theme continues under the bonnet where the 4.0-litre V8 receives a unique GT3-R carbon fiber cover.

On the inside the GT3-R offers a two-seat configuration of new bespoke sporting seats, finished with Beluga black leather with diamond-quilted Alcantara. A unique trimmed rear cabin is in the place of the rear seats, complete with a carbon fiber surround and finished in leather and Alcantara. Unique GT3-R badging adorns the center console and passenger fascia panel, while headrests receive stitched logos in contrast green thread. All 99 models bound for the US will receive sequentially numbered GT3-R sill treadplates identifying the car’s one-of-a-kind status.

The new Bentley Continental GT3-R will sell for USD 337,000 and if you want one you can order it now at a Bentley dealer near you. For the Americas region deliveries will start in Q1 2015.

Vorsteiner Bentley Continental GT BR10-RS Edition

Vorsteiner offers new perspective of its latest Bentley Continental GT BR10-RS Edition. The new photoshoot mainly focuses on the rear of the car and its carbon fiber elements that were added by the tuning company. Precisely, it is an aero package, which as you can see features front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper and deck lid spoiler all made of the aforementioned lightweight material.

This Continental GT is powered by a 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8 which delivers 528 horsepower (389 kW) at 6,000 rpm, as well as 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque available at just 1,700 rpm. The powerplant is coupled with a close-ratio ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. 2014 Bentley Continental GT3-R Makes Global Debut

2014 Bentley Continental GT3-R is preparing to make its global debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Next to it the company will showcase an exclusive line up of cars. The GT3-R will be shown on the Bentley stand. It is the most dynamic and fastest-accelerating model that Bentley has ever produced. It was inspired by the winning Continental GT3 racer. Car’s production is limited to only 300 examples. Of course, they will be all hand built.

To go into details, the GT3-R is powered by the powerful 4.0 litre V8 engine. The unit produces 580 hp (426 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The model features also a reduction in weight when compared to the GT3. Precisely, it is 100 kg and when it is combined with torque vectoring and shorter gearing, it delivers breathtaking driving experience.

Continental GT3 race car – the basis for the debut-maker, will also appear at the festival. The car has recently won the second round of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Silverstone. It will be piloted up the hill by David Brabham, who drove a Bentley Speed 8 to second place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2003.

An interesting reunion will also happen at Goodwood: three historic Bentleys will reunite for the first time in over a decade to complete the famous Hillclimb. The Speed Six Bentley (Old Number 1), which won Le Mans in 1929 and 1930, will be accompanied by two more classic Bentleys: Old Number 2 and Old Number 3 that are both in their original form and raced alongside the first car at Le Mans in 1930.

Bentley Teases Its First Production SUV [VIDEO]

Bentley SUV will arrive very soon! The countdown to the arrival has already begun and we are impatiently waiting to see the model. Bentley has dedicated to create world’s most powerful and luxurious SUV and thus set new standards in bespoke craftsmanship and performance. The current teaser is in video form and offers a rare glimpse of the company’s design approach. What is more – it shows how the exterior of this remarkable new car.

As we can see it features the emblematic sculpted, contemporary and distinctive design of Bentley’s, but also gives a hint that it is being combined with the exquisite and meticulous detailing.

As far as we can tell, the SUV’s front will probably be much like the 2012 Bentley EXP 9 F SUV Concept. The latter was introduced in Geneva, showing off flowing surfaces, muscularity and robustness, bold and dynamic exterior.

Both the concept and the SUV have the matrix grille, but the difference is that the headlamps of the SUV were inspired by those of Continental.

EXP 9 F Concept utilized company’s 6.0 litre, twin-turbocharged W12 engine coupled with an eight-speed transmission. The powertrain develops 600 hp (441 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. And we are wondering whether it will be featured in the production model.

Bentley only revealed that one of the powerplant options will be the plug-in hybrid that will be introduced in 2017. The new SUV is currently being prepared for production and is scheduled to hit roads in 2016.

Bentley Continental GT drag – 3,000HP

Bentley Continental GT with over 3,000HP (2,237 kW)? Of course, if you are a 48-year-old watch repairer, who obviously likes drag racing. Steve Neimantas from Yorkshire, UK spent 250,000 to convert the grand tourer into a drag racing beast.

The modified car is powered by a 10.2 liter V8 engine from Chevrolet equipped with two enormous turbochargers. The result is the whopping 3,000HP, which will be enough to catapult the Bentley from stand still to the finish line of ¼ mile in less than 7.0 seconds.

Of course, the conversion is not only installing the engine, but a super-huge rear wheels with drag tires, tiny front wheels to save weight, a roll-cage not only for safety, but for strengthening the chassis, a lot of carbon fiber elements and a parachute at the rear to stop somehow.

Bentley Continental GT drag can be be seen in action this weekend during the 1^st round of the European Drag Racing Championship organized at the Santa Pod Raceway. The car will take place participate in the Street Eliminator class that includes only street legal cars.
