Audi A1 by Damien Hirst sold for 420 000 Euro
A unique Audi A1 specially painted by Damien Hirst for Sir Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball. Audi sponsored the A1 for the auction held last night – making it the eighth consecutive year that the company has supported the AIDS charity event. Close to 700 VIP guests from all over the world converged on the private home of Sir Elton in Windsor, UK, to support his largest annual fundraiser for his AIDS Foundation.Damien Hirst’s A1 was sold for 420 000 Euro ( £350 000 ).

Senner Tuning’s all-new Audi S5 Sportsback conversion
The German-based Audi cars enhancement expert Senner Tuning has unveiled its latest program, which lends the 2009 Audi S5 Sportback more athletic stance and styling as well as boosted output figures.Although the S5 Sportback represents a premium, all-rounded mid-size vehicle with sufficient performance, the guys at Senner have decided to give the ride an extra kick. Thanks to the optimization of the ECU and a new sport air filter, the S5’s 3.0-litre TFSI engine is now capable to deliver the staggering 375 horsepower and 495 Nm instead of the factory 333 horses and 440 Nm of peak torque. In addition to the new output level, Senner has also mounted the ride with a brand-new in-house exhaust unit with catalytic converter and four end-pipes.
For the sportier stance, the Senner S5 Sportback benefits from a 35/40 mm lowering springs and a gorgeous 20-inch set of two-piece alloys in T1S Work VARA Diamont black design. The new rims are fitted with high-performance tires in the dimensions 245/30 R20 at the front and 295/25 R20 at the rear axle.
Upon a customer demand, the interior of the Senner S5 can be further reinforced with carbon fiber accents and gadgets.

Triple win for Audi R15 TDI at the 24h Le Mans
Audi made it! They achieved huge victory at 24h Le Mans placing three R15 TDI cars on the first three places. This is the ninth victory of Audi, so they equalized Ferrari’s position in the roll of honor in the French endurance classic. Chairman Rupert Stadler said: “Everyone at Audi can be proud of this historic exploit. Reliability, efficiency and sustainability are particularly important topics for car manufacturers today. Audi A5 and E-tron triumphed at the Michelin Challenge Bibendum 2010
Audi take part in the Michelin Challenge Bibendum 2010. The world famous brand took two victories. The awards came from lightweight A5, which won overall victory in the rally and the design award went to the Audi E-tron electric sports car. Audi A3 1.6 TDI was also at the Challenge Bibendum and performed good.Audi A5 lightweight prototype brought the overall victory in the eco rally over a distance of 350 kilometers. The Michelin Challenge Bibendum was participated by 80 vehicles. The prototype was also in the leading group in the individual categories CO2 emissions, overall emissions, efficiency, acceleration and handling. (more…)
