Alpinais going to introduce the all-new B4 Bi-Turbo Convertible at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The stylish convertible is based on the recently announced BMW4-Series 335i Convertible.
The exterior comes with a typical Alpina outfit – a complete body kit including new front and rear aprons as well as a sports exhaust system and a set of 20” classic Alpina alloy wheels. There are also some decals and special badging.
The interior features heated leather sport seats, a sport steering wheel and Alpina branded door sills plates. Other highlights include embroidered headrests and branded floor mats.
The most important – a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged gasoline engine boosted to 410HP (301 kW) and 600Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 301 km/h (187 mph). It is connected to an 8-speed automatic ZF gearbox and is able to return 29.4 mpg US or 35.3 mpg UK – 8.0 liters / 100 km on combined cycle.
2014 Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Convertible is expected to hit the market in spring with pricing starting from €74,800.
Alpina has presented the all-new 2014 B4 Bi-Turbo based on the recently announced BMW 4-Series Coupe 335i.
The sports coupe comes with a lot of unique features like an aerodynamics package from Alpina, new wheels and improved interior.
The exterior boasts a new front apron and rear spoiler. There is also a set of 20” ALPINA Classic wheels fitted with ultra-low profile tires. At the rear we can see ALPINA lettering and signature twin tailpipes.
The engine is the well-known 3.0 liter straight-six – 410HP (301 kW) at 5,500RPM and 600Nm (444 lb-ft) at 3,000RPM. The engine is connected to a ZF 8-Speed Sport-Automatic transmission. 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h (188 mph). Furthermore, the new B4 Bi-Turbo Coupe achieves a class-leading combined fuel economy of just 7.6l/100km and 177g/km CO2.
The suspension set-up of the new B4 Bi-Turbo provides great ride-quality and comfort while simultaneously offering sharp and dynamic handling. The adaptive ALPINA sport suspension solves this conflict of interest by means of electronically adjustable dampers in collaboration with performance springs, bump stops and stabilisers. The system allows the driver to use the Drive Performance Control (Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport, Sport+) to select the suspension setting and driving dynamics to match his mood.
Last, but not least is the high-performance brake system – 370mm discs at the front and 345mm discs at the rear with 4- and 2-piston calipers, respectively.

Alpina will introduce the D3 Bi-Turbo F30 at the upcoming 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, next month. The engine is the well-known bi-turbo diesel from Alpina XD3 presented earlier this year. The D3 Bi-Turbo F30 is powered by a straight-six, full-aluminum 3.0-liter diesel with two turbochargers. The result is spectacular – 350HP (257 kW) at 4,000RPM and 700Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque at 1,500RPM. The engine is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission powering the rear wheels, but xDrive AWD version will be also available.0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 21.7 seconds. The top speed is 280 km/h (174 mph).Other upgrades include electronically-adjustable dampers, a custom sports exhaust system with dual double-ended tailpipes, a sport steering wheel with blue/green stitching, door sills, floor mats, gear indicator and a digital speed read-out.
A stock BMW Alpina B6 F13 made some drag starts versus some powerful vehicles – BMW M6 G-Power SK III with 750HP, BMW X6 M PP-Performance Stage 4 – 760HP, a stock Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and a superfast Nissan GT-R Mk.1 DT 1200 R with 1200HP. The Alpina B6 F12 has only 540HP and it is not exactly the perfect car for 1 mile race.
The first start is versus the M6 G-Power, which did 30.499 seconds and a terminal speed of 283 km/h. The Alpina B6 finished in 31.168 seconds with 272 km/h.
The second start is against X6 M PP-Performance, which is winner of 3rd place in SUV Class 2013. The big SAC finished in 28.837 seconds with 279 km/h.
Versus the Gallardo, the Alpina lost again. The Lamborghini finished in 30.095 seconds with speed of 275 km/h.
The last start is doomed, because the GT-R has more than twice power compared to the B6 F12. The DT 1200 R finished in 25.362 seconds with 321 km/h.
An interesting and powerful BMW X3 is exhibited at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Alpina version of the small SAV boasts extreme power and some nice upgrades.
The name is Alpina XD3 Bi-turbo and it is powered by a straight-six, full-aluminum 3.0-liter diesel with two turbochargers. Despite all that power, the XD3 Bi-Turbo has a a fuel consumption of only 6.8 liters / 100 km (41.5 mpg US) with CO2 emissions of 180 g/km. The engine is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 21.7 seconds. The top speed is 253 km/h (157 mph). The curb weight of the vehicle is 1910 kg.
