2022…Impressive driving dynamics, explosive performance, luxurious comfort. For 2023, the BMW ALPINA XB7 benefits from a host of updates, including a new generation engine, an even sharper, more progressive design, and advancements in driving assistance and connectivity. The new ALPINA 4.4-liter V8 with BMW mild-hybrid technology now produces 630 hp (up 18 hp from the previous generation) and 590 lb-ft of torque, placing the XB7 firmly among the highest performing Sports Activity Vehicles in the world.

New engine generation: 4.4-Liter Bi-Turbocharged V8 with Mild-Hybrid Technology

The 2023 BMW ALPINA XB7 features an all-new V8 engine, now with BMW mild hybrid technology. Through extensive development efforts, ALPINA engineers have adapted the powerful eight-cylinder engine (S68) specifically to the ALPINA drivetrain philosophy. A characteristic feature is the high torque output of 590 lb-ft which is available from just 1,800 rpm all the way to 5,600 rpm. The engine’s high power reserves are effortlessly and readily available at all times, which is what the superior ALPINA driving experience is all about. The V8 engine with bi-turbocharging generates 630 hp from 4.4 liters of displacement and delivers exceptional driving performance: the luxury 7-seater SAV accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, completes the ¼ mile sprint in just 12.4 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 180 mph with the available 21-inch wheel and performance tire package (a no-cost option).

In this latest V8 engine generation, BMW has implemented a cross-bank exhaust manifold that distributes the exhaust gas flow homogeneously to the two twin-scroll turbochargers. This makes the turbochargers highly responsive. The featured BMW mild-hybrid technology improves efficiency; its intelligent system controls allow the combustion engine to run at very high degrees of efficiency for a given load range at constant speeds. In addition, the 48-volt starter-generator located within transmission enhances the responsiveness of the high-performance engine by utilizing the support of the electric motor as needed.

The state-of-art BMW engine technology is augmented by an ALPINA-specific engine management system and performance cooling system consisting of an enlarged and optimized main engine cooler with integrated transmission cooler, external engine oil and water coolers, and a low-temperature cooling circuit (air/water/air) for the ALPINA-specific intercooling system. Cross-sectioned optimized coolant hoses ensure maximum throughput.

Smooth and Fast: 8-Speed Sport Automatic and Active LSD

The latest transmission generation with integrated 48-volt mild-hybrid technology offers both comfort and performance at the highest levels. The 8-Speed Sport Automatic Transmission with the industry-original ALPINA SWITCH-TRONIC wheel-mounted shift buttons responds within milliseconds to driver inputs. Depending on the chosen drive and transmission mode, the 8-Speed Sport Automatic Transmission offers unparalleled shift comfort and the ability to execute shifts in fractions of a second, meaning power is delivered effortlessly and instantaneously at all times.

Effective torque distribution is guaranteed by the intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive system and an electronically-variable limited-slip differential at the rear axle. This improves traction when driving dynamically by ensuring that slip-induced losses are minimized, and torque is distributed effectively to the wheel with the most grip at any given time. The degree of lock is continuously and actively adjusted depending on wheel speed, friction coefficients, and steering angle among other factors. The behavior of the limited-slip differential is specifically calibrated to suit the dynamic character of the BMW ALPINA XB7, and it operates in conjunction with the other driving stability systems.

Ride Comfort and Driving Dynamics: ALPINA Sport Suspension and Kinematics

The 2023 BMW ALPINA XB7 is equipped with the latest suspension technology, opening a new dimension in both ride comfort and driving dynamics in the performance-luxury Sports Activity Vehicle segment.

The two-axle air suspension with ALPINA-specific dampers and kinematics is primarily responsible for the balance of driving dynamics and ride comfort. It allows for a remarkable and noticeable 1.6-inch change in ride height, depending on driving situation or the chosen suspension mode. At speeds below 19 mph, the ride height can be raised by 1.6 inches for challenging ramp angles or other clearance requirements. In SPORT mode or above 100 mph the ride height is reduced by 0.8 inches, and by 1.6 inches in SPORT+ mode or above 155 mph. The resulting lower center of gravity and subsequent changes in suspension geometry, with associated increases in negative camber, have a significant positive effect on driving dynamics.

ALPINA-specific dome-bulkhead struts and reinforced torsion struts increase body rigidity. In addition, the electromechanical anti-roll bars of the Active Roll Stabilization system and stiffer rear axle bushings reduce body roll substantially.

The Integral Active Steering offers direct steering response with exceptional feedback and improves overall agility. The rear wheels can pivot up to 2.3° left or right, increasing agility at low speeds and aiding maximum directional stability at high speeds. The driver can choose from three steering modes: COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+.

Excellent Road Holding with Maximum Grip: Wheels, Tires and Brakes

Specially-developed wheel and tire combinations underscore the powerful, elegant appearance of the BMW ALPINA XB7 and are instrumental in offering impressive levels of grip and road holding, especially for a vehicle of this size category.

The BMW ALPINA XB7 offers two wheel styles. The 21″ ALPINA DYNAMIC wheels can be specified with performance summer or all-season runflat tires, measuring 285/45R21 front and rear.

The beautiful 23-inch forged-alloy wheels in the iconic ALPINA CLASSIC 20-spoke design and finished in Anthracite are now standard. Their high-strength, high-density construction as a result of forging allows a significant weight saving of 7 lbs. per wheel. In collaboration with the experts at Pirelli, the performance summer tires for the 23-inch wheels have been explicitly developed and specified for the BMW ALPINA XB7. Measuring 285/35ZR23 at front and 325/3 ZR23 rear, they provide impressive grip and visual presence.

Four-piston fixed brake calipers from Brembo with brake discs measuring 15.5 inches on the front axle and floating brake calipers with brake discs of 15.7 inches on the rear axle offer powerful and consistent deceleration. The brake calipers are finished in ALPINA Blue and feature white ALPINA lettering.

Powerful and Progressive: Design

The new front view is dominated by a modified light design with horizontally-separated twin headlights. In addition, the glow of the illuminated kidney grille adds a fresh design accent: a waterfall of light, which can also be activated when driving, draws attention to the trademark BMW kidney grill. The striking, new design vocabulary of the air intakes is taken up by the ALPINA front apron to produce a perfectly shaped, powerful appearance. At the other end, the four oval tailpipes of the sport exhaust system are beautifully integrated into the ALPINA rear apron.

Technology, Connectivity, Craftsmanship: Equipment

The latest generation of the BMW iDrive adds a new, digital dimension to the vehicle-driver interaction. The technological basis is provided by the BMW iDrive 8 Operating System in combination with intuitive control options like the outstanding voice control offered by the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. The degree of personalization in the displays has reached a new level, including in the standard head-up display with optimized graphics performance. In accordance with the BMW design principle of “eyes on the road – hands on the wheel”, all displays offer logical driver orientation and can also be tailored to drivers’ individual needs. The integration of third-party apps works seamlessly.

When it comes to the driver assistance systems, the BMW ALPINA XB7 offers the Active Driving Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Professional as standard. Parking Assistant Professional now includes Maneuver Assistant and Trailer Assistant.

Maneuver Assistant uses GPS data and the trajectory data from steering inputs to record and store up to ten different maneuvers covering a distance of up to 200 meters each. When the XB7 arrives at a memorized GPS point, such as the entrance to a narrow driveway with tight curves, the system will be able to carry out all the tasks required to complete the maneuver, controlling the accelerator, brakes, and steering as well as changing gear to move forward or backward.

Trailer Assistant provides the driver with an enhanced view of the path of an attached trailer and allows steering inputs through the iDrive controller, helping the driver reverse the trailer with precision. Software updates and upgrades can be downloaded to the vehicle over the air via Remote Software Upgrade.

In the cockpit, the large Curved Display allows the digital instrument panel and the central control display to merge into one unit. The gauges of the digital instrument panel are in the iconic ALPINA Blue. In SPORT and SPORT+ modes, ALPINA green drag indicators provide a design accent.

The interior features many distinguishing details and features which set it apart from the mainstream: glass iDrive controller with the ALPINA design, blue illuminated gear selector, ALPINA production plaque, illuminated ALPINA door sills and the unique ALPINA Sport Steering Wheel hand-finished in the finest LAVALINA leather and featuring trademark Blue/Green stitching. In addition to the ALPINA Myrtle Luxury Wood interior trim, two further ALPINA trim variants are optionally available: Piano lacquer and Natural Walnut Anthracite. Each of the ALPINA wood trim variants features the ALPINA roundel logo.

The New 2023 8 Series Coupe, Convertible, and Gran Coupe

2023 8 Series

Since its premier in 2018, the award-winning design of the BMW 8 Series luxury performance vehicles continues to thrill and impress with grace and power in equal measure. Today, with striking exterior design enhancements and interior developments, BMW has honed the character of the new 2023 8 Series. A redesigned front fascia presents a form as dynamic as it is elegant. The interior likewise conveys an even more intensely focused feeling of driving pleasure and a luxurious ambience, featuring as it does an enlarged 12.3-inch Control Display for the BMW iDrive operating system.

More than ever, the BMW 8 Series embodies a passion for inspiring performance and exclusive style.

BMW twin-kidney grille with Iconic Glow, new paint finishes and wheel designs.

The characteristic BMW kidney grille adds an arresting accentuation to the front of all BMW 8 Series variants. The BMW Illuminated Kidney Grille provides an iconic glow using waterfall lighting for the two grille elements, creating a dramatic impression when the new BMW 8 Series is viewed from the front. The illumination is activated when the vehicle is unlocked or a door is opened and can be switched on or off manually by the driver. The grille also features redesigned vertical bars with a distinctive U-shaped profile.

Five new exterior paint colors have been added to the 8 Series palette: Skyscraper Grey metallic, San Remo Green metallic, Portimao Blue metallic, BMW Individual Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic, and Frozen Pure Grey.

Two new 20-inch wheel designs, style 895M and 894M, are optionally available on all new 8 Series models. The wheel style 895M fitted with high-performance, non-runflat tires is included in the Cooling and High Performance Tire Package, which is optional on M850i xDrive coupe and Gran Coupe.

M exterior mirrors in a design that was originally developed exclusively for the BMW M8, along with an M Badge in the kidney grille.

The M Sport Package was made standard equipment on 840i and 840i xDrive models for model year 2022. For 2023, the new optional M Sport Package Professional adds extended Shadowline trim with black kidney grille, black calipers for the standard M Sport brakes, M Shadowline headlights with dark inserts and a black M rear spoiler for the M850i xDrive coupe.

To mark the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH, all M850i xDrive models in will be offered with the classic BMW Motorsport logo on the hood, trunk, and wheel hub covers in place of the usual BMW roundels. With its staggered semicircles in blue, purple and red, the anniversary emblem is reminiscent of the original BMW M GmbH trademark that was first used on racing cars in 1973.

As ever, the new BMW 8 Series features as standard BMW Live Cockpit Professional. Its fully digital display network consists of a 12.3-inch instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and a central Control Display, which has increased in size from 10.25 to 12.3 inches. The [M2] larger screen enables fast, convenient, and intuitive operation of numerous vehicle functions, powered by the seventh generation of BMW iDrive.

THE 8 X JEFF KOONS: Art and driving pleasure in a limited edition.

The refined style and dynamic performance of the new BMW 8 Series serve as sources of inspiration for American artist Jeff Koons. His inimitable aesthetic will grace a very limited edition of the BMW 850i xDrive Gran Coupe, which will be presented for the first time on February 17, 2022. The 8 X JEFF KOONS embodies precision, sophistication, and craftsmanship. A multi-layer exterior finish in eleven colors creates a highly expressive appearance. The interior’s unique ambience is characterized by the very finest leather and other exquisite materials, along with the rich red and blue tones of BMW M and an engraved artist’s signature.

Jeff Koons and the BMW Group are linked by a partnership that dates back more than a decade. In 2010, the artist designed the BMW M3 GT2 Art Car that took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This new project came about to mark the 50th anniversary of the BMW Group’s global commitment to culture. The 8 X JEFF KOONS is an exceptionally exclusive combination of art and driving pleasure in a luxury sports car by BMW.

The BMW ALPINA B8 Gran Coupe.

Launched in 2021, the ALPINA B8 Gran Coupe builds on the success of the B7 sedan and the XB7 Sports Activity Vehicle. With an explosive 612-horsepower 4.4-liter V8 with bi-turbocharging at its heart, the B8 Gran Coupe achieves 60 mph from a standstill in a staggering 3.3 seconds, on to a maximum speed of 201 mph. A finely-tuned, harmoniously balanced chassis ensures precise handling and long-distance comfort.

The 2023 BMW ALPINA B8 receives many of the enhancements applied to the rest of the BMW 8 Series, including the new illuminated kidney grille, the 12.3-inch Control Display, and a broadened range of exterior color choices.

Is there anything special about the new ALPINA models? You be the judge [w/video]

ALPINA B7 Bi-Turbo ALPINA’s flagship model, the B7 Bi-Turbo will make its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. After some sweet feedback, designers feel confident enough to continue with the show-off. The B7 will be displayed alongside the B4 Bi-Turbo Convertible, also making its first official debut in UK. Both vehicles have a lot to show and both of them are worth reviewing. So, let’s start with the B7 Bi-Turbo.

ALPINA B7 Bi-Turbo

The whole lineup is known for delivering some massive power and the B7 is no exception: this one offers the vast 608hp (453kW) and 800Nm of torque from a 4.4-liter V8 power unit. Of course, the design team refined and improved the air suspension, damping, steering, gearbox, and basically everything that needs an upgrade, received one. Long story short: this is one hell of a vehicle and will proudly stand among its brothers.

ALPINA B7 Bi-Turbo

In terms of exterior styling, there is nothing groundbreaking: it has the same straight lines, aggressive stance and lovely proportions. Don’t get me wrong, the vehicle looks fantastic, but it seems the team focused its attention entirely towards the drivetrain and the performance. We got some improved stats from the wind tunnel tests, sweet ALPINA Blue illumination on the door sills, and the interior has become really comfortable with the ALPINA Blue mood lightning.

But all the improvements and additions do not change the fact that this one looks just as its predecessors. However, it does have a lovely ad. Check it out!

Goodwood will also witness the unveiling of the new B4 Bi-Turbo Convertible. With 410hp and 600Nm of torque, this one can almost fly through the streets and as it comes with impressive efficiency, we tend to like it. And the best part? You can run from 0 to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds with the roof down. Woohoo, reminds me of my teenage dreams.

Based on BMW’s 4-series, the B4 Bi-Turbo has been refined for the past two years and the result is really impressive: the engineering team managed to bring us tons of comfort, efficiency and exclusivity. Already available, the B4 Convertible has a starting price of $72,767 USD.

BMW Showcases a 600hp ALPINA Monster at the Geneva Show

2016 BMW Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo Supersaloon So, what is required for an Alpina supersaloon vehicle to become the most powerful yet? I’ll tell you. All you need is an ALPINA-optimized 4.4-liter V8 power unit, capable of producing 600hp (441kW) and 800Nm of torque. Still not impressed?

What is also special about this unit is that it is further upgraded and fine-tuned and offers high response and is geared with two especially created twin-scroll turbochargers that deliver up to 1.2-bar with minimum inertia. Furthermore, the engineering team also paid special attention to the airflow optimization with short intake paths and the near-instant throttle response. The intercooler system also deserved some attention and now offers increased power and better responsiveness with main intercooler that feeds two large-volume close-coupled intercoolers. Sweet.

Further improvements have been made on the weight optimization, along with high-strength, yet lightweight materials as carbon-fiber and special aluminum components. Also, there is this new Carbon Core fabric, incorporated in vehicle’s drivetrain system, along with advanced Rear Wheel Drive system.

BMW Unveils the ALPINA B7 xDrive Monster!

2016 BMW ALPINA B7 xDRIVE BMW of North America announced the latest and greatest 2017 BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive, the third generation of ALPINA vehicles, based on the BMW 7 Series. This latest BMW member will combine the elegant and luxury feel with precise and advanced dynamics, technologies and overall incredible capabilities.

Exterior design

Athletic and elegant, the new BMW ALPINA has a lot to show. Let’s start with the aerodynamic components that enhance the sporty character: the vehicle proudly demonstrates its restyled front and rear spoilers, while the iconic kidney grille is fitted with integrated air flap control system, which improves the whole cooling system.

Noelle Motors Granted BMW Alpina Bi-Turbo With Some Special Attention

2015 Noelle Motors BMW Bi-Turbo Downsizing, one of the most important feature and keyword when it comes to engine construction has been Karl-Otto Noelle’s passion for decades. Back in 1980s the started to improve the way of achieving maximum performance on small engine sizes with simultaneous turbo-charging. In later years, in the early 90s, he makes a noticeable achievement: Noelle is already the Alpina engine boss, thanks to the double forced ventilation, 360hp (264kW) and 520 Nm produced from the Alpina B10 Biturbo’s 3.4-liter unit, geared in BMW 5 series. So, let’s see what made this man special and what made this machine special.

Noelle motor points out that the basis of the BMW 650i Gran Coupe xDrive is still with untapped power potential and still sumbers in the current engine generations. And now, after installing the performance-oriented Stage 4 kits that offer modified turbochargers, downpipes with 400cell-sport catalysts, sporty mufflerswith valve control and a map advancement that includes cdeactivation of electronic Vmax governor, the 4.4-liter biturbo V8 will now confidently produce a total of 622hp (457kW) and 773 Nm of torque. This means that the coupe benefits from additional 172hp and 123 Nm. All the upgrades and additions contribute to the 3,7 second 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint and that smooth, yet responsive driving experience.

We Are Crazy About the New Gen BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo

BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo Side View 2016 BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo has been revealed recently on Alpina’s official Facebook page. We immediately wanted to share it with you, because this car deserves nothing else but applauses and admiration. The car looks stunning, and more importantly its brisk engine has been revised and now offers more.

The vehicle will be offered in two variants: Sedan and Touring. And just like the 50^th anniversary edition that has been launched in March, these 2016 model year cars will be equipped with the same lively and updated 4.4-liter V8 BiTurbo. If you do remember well from the anniversary editions, the unit produces the strong number of 600 horsepower (441 kW) and 800 Nm (591 lb-ft) of torque.

It is also very fast, because it pushes Alpina BMW B from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in the mere 4.2 seconds. The top speed has been electronically limited to 328 km/h. Well, the fuel efficiency is not everyone’s cup of tea, but it is definitely not that high. Alpina said that the new generation B5 shows unchanged combined fuel consumption of 9.5 liter per 100 km. The CO2 emisiions stay relatively high: 221 g/km.

What else is new here? Take for instance the new suspension, which comes with optional active roll stabilization and electronically adjustable dampers. Other optional features here include the brake system with fixed-clippers and the titanium Arkapovic exhaust system, which will also enhance the aerodynamic qualities of the B5 BiTurbo, because it is 17 kg lighter than the standard one.

If you do purchase the standard variant of the BMW Alpia B5 BiTurbo, then you will get at no cost a limited slip differential and very cozy and but luxurious interior that features upholstery from Merino leather and contrasting piano black components.

Two Alpina Edition 50s are Coming Our Way

ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo Edition 50 Front View For it’s 50th anniversary the one and only Alpina manufactury will be making 50 fresh and shiny saloons and coupes under the B5 and B6 Bi-Turbo designation. This woud be the point of making some of the most anticipated hi-end luxorious road and race cars to rule over European streets. All the vehicles will be heavily modified to bring you the pleasure of driving a beauty, geared with revised V8, that will take you from 0 to 100km (62mph) in 4.2 seconds, so you can try reaching top speed of 204 mph.

Brand manager Matthew Stripling ensures us, that Edition 50 will bring highest levels of comfort, blended with supreme engine performance. We tend to believe him. Anyone who is brave enough to try this Bi-turbo will be dealing with 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) and 600 hp (441 kW). That monstrous power is combined with even further imroved fuel economy: 29.7 mpg and the best so far CO2 emissions of 221 g/km.

Talking about the engine, heavy modifications include water cooling system, weight and power upgrades. In addition the crew behind the project has done an air flow optimizations for better engine response. All of this, of corse, comes fresh from the factory, that is well known for it’s high quality and durability components. As usual 2-year warranty is also included.

Not only the engine recieved improvements, but the transmission, aerodynamics, overall weight, interior have been also revised. The wheels and exhaust system are redesigned for further weight loss upgrades and better performance, that together reduce a total of 31.6 kg of the overall car weight. The interior includes hand-crafted sport seats, ceramic finish controls, leather panel, redesigned panels and the unique car number will be included on the centre console.

The Turbo Edition 50 vehicles will come in ALPINA Blue or ALPINA Green, or the special Edition 50 Sepia. Additional decal sets can be ordered in colors blue or green, so it is up to you to choose the apperance of the Alpina Edition 50. What is your choice?

BMW Celebrates 50 Years of ALPINA with the Fastest B6 xDrive Gran Coupe

The entirely new BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe will be the main star at company’s stand at New York Auto Show that starts on 1^st of April. This model will mark the celebration of two events: the 40th anniversary of BMW of North America and the US motorsports victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring with the1975 BMW 3.0 CSL. But we aren’t finished with the anniversaries. It is actually 50 years since the introduction of the ALPINA brand, so this is also an occasion to make some noise about it.

Believe it or not, the new ALPINA car is the fastest BMW which is currently sold. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds, while its optimum speed is electronically limited at 200 mph.

The four-door Gran Coupe is driven by the powerful 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 that is capable of generating 600 horsepower (441 kW) and 799 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. This is exactly 60 horsepower more than the previous model we have seen.

Same are the ALPINA-tuned 8-Speed Sport Automatic transmission and xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system as well as the ALPINA stainless steel exhaust system with elliptical twin tailpipes. Updates have been made to the front spoiler and apron that have now new shape. They ensure that maximum air enters the cooling system. New are also the hood and the LED Adaptive Headlights with High Beam Assistant.

The anniversary BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe will have a limited production but no numbers have been specified up to date. The car will be available at US dealerships in June and pricing will be announced close market launch.

2014 Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Based on BMW 4-Series

After the unveiling of the super-powerful and efficient D3 Bi-Turbo, Alpina has now presented the new B4 Bi-Turbo based on BMW 4-Series – Coupe and Convertible. Both comes with a tuned engine, nice body kit and all nice Alpina upgrades.

2014 Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo is powered by the well-known 3.0 liter I6 engine with twin-scroll single turbocharger, which is replaced by a twin-turbo system. The result is impressive – 410HP (300 kW) and 600Nm (444 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is connected to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds (4.5 for the Convertible) and the xDrive models available in left hand drive markets only will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in an astonishing 4.0 seconds. What is more, the new B4 Bi-Turbo boasts a fuel economy of 37 mpg UK – 7.6 liters / 100 km on combined cycle with CO₂ emissions of just 177 g/km.

The B4 Bi-Turbo comes with increased performance, comfort, efficiency and style. More than 50 development engineers worked with specialist suppliers to enhance the engine, gearbox, cooling system, body structure, wheels, tyres, aerodynamics, steering, suspension and interior.

Standard equipment includes Adaptive M Sport Suspension, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable heated sports seats, climate control and Bi-Xenon headlights. Inside, there are luxury carpet overmats and subtle Alpina logos on the seat backs and door sills. The instruments are in Alpina Blue and the steering wheel is covered in finest-quality, hand-stitched Lavalina leather. The acoustically insulated metal roof of the Convertible can be closed in just 20 seconds at up to 18 km/h (11 mph).

Last, but not least are the 20” Alpina alloy wheels in the company’s famous Classic design.

The B4 Bi-Turbo will be launched in the UK at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (June 27 – 29), where visitors will also be able to see the XD3 luxury compact SUV. The BMW Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo is available in the UK as a Coupe for £58,950 or as a Convertible for £62,950.

2014 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo based on BMW 5-Series F10

Alpina has presented the 2014 B5 Bi-Turbo based on BMW 5-Series F10. The sports saloon boasts more power, better acceleration and performance as well as improved fuel efficiency. It boasts a mix of driving dynamics, comfort and everyday luxury.

2014 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo is powered by the famous twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 – 540HP (397 kW) at 5,200RPM and 730Nm (538 lb-ft) at 2,800RPM. 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 323 km/h (200 mph). The engine is connected to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox sending the power to the rear wheels. The overall weight of the car is 1,920 kg, which is a lot, but the performance is impressive. The fuel consumption is 9.5 litres per 100 km on combined cycle with 221 g/km of CO2.

The ride rolls enormous 20” Alpina Classic alloys 8.5J x 20” with 255/35 ZR20 front and 9.5J x 20” with 285/30 ZR20 rear tires.

A finely tuned suspension and chassis configuration combined with variable dampers makes for an exemplary ride comfort while simultaneously providing sharp handling and excellent high-speed stability

2015 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe To Debut In New York

2015 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe will make an official debut at the New York International Auto Show in April, going immediately thereafter on sale. The car has been launched today and the brand has also disclosed some information around it.

This BMW ALPINA is exceptional. First of all it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.7 seconds. This is due to the he 4.4-liter ALPINA Bi-Turbo V8 unit which delivers 540 horsepower (397 kW) and 732 Nm (540 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is matched with an 8 speed Sport Automatic Transmission with ALPINA Switch-Tronic and BMW’s xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system. The top speed here is 198 mph.

Other highlights here include the tuned high performance stainless steel ALPINA exhaust system with twin elliptical tailpipes, the Electronic Damping Control and Active Roll Stabilization technology that work in combination in order to distribute the torque of the xDrive intelligent AWD.

ALPINA has masterfully crafted the design of this BMW with elegant lines that emphasize its dynamic and powerful appearance. Adding to this are the refined 20” ALPINA CLASSIC 21-spoke wheels. In addition, the front apron with integrated splitter elements directs airflow over and around the body. This results in an enhanced high speed aerodynamic stability.
