  • BMW 4 Series Coupe by AC Schnitzer

BMW-4-Series-Coupe-by-AC-Schnitzer-THUMBBMW 4 Series Coupe by AC Schnitzer is equipped with tailor-made components that have maximum perfection. The new aerodynamic components from the tuners are precisely matched to each other and allow for complete conversion and optimization. The new 4 Series models can be enhanced not only with performance upgrades, wheel and tyre combinations, sports and racing suspension and accessories for the interior, but also with a complete range of aerodynamic body-styling elements.

The aerodynamic range offered for the tuning of this BMW coupe and cabrio model comprises of front spoiler for vehicles with M-Technik pack, chrome front grille, rear roof spoiler, rear diffuser as well as rear skirt protective film.

The principle which the brand follows is “form follows function” and it is visible through this conversion. As you can see, at the rear, the new diffuser draws the vehicle down to the asphalt, while the AC Schnitzer silencer in the latest Racing Evo tailpipe design is perfectly integrated into the rear end.

Additional downforce is provided due to the extra rear roof spoiler and front spoiler. In fact, all aerodynamic components lend new contours to the body of the car, but still emphasizing its stylish lines.

Furthermore, AC Schnitzer states that its aerodynamic components minimize drag thus enhancing the driving behavior. The components also deliver excellent durability and offer perceptible gain in sporting performance.

  • AC Schnitzer Exhaust Systems – Racing Evo

AC Schnitzer is now offering high performance rear silencers made from stainless steel with different chromed tailpipes. The new silencers deliver impressive sonorous sound and a sporty appearance. This is really important because the exhaust is the acoustic and optical signature of a car.

AC Schnitzer also offers polished and chromed exhaust tail trim Racing Evo manufactured from stainless steel. The new tailpipe design is an evolution of the successful Evo tailpipe trim, which is now superseded by the new one.

The “Racing Evo” trim is an “evolutionary jump” with its unique design featuring two classic round tailpipes with slash cut, joined into a harmonious whole by an undulating cover positioned above.

The “Racing Evo” tailpipe is perfectly matched to the latest BMW models for which it was exclusively developed – BMW 1-series F20 and F21, 2-series F22 and F23, 3-series F30 and F31 as well as 4-series F32 and F33. The “Racing Evo” trim is also available as a purely aesthetic solution, as a standalone tailpipe trim.

The improved dispersing of exhaust gases allows your car’s engine to work more efficiently and “breathe” properly. This can improve the engine performance and fuel consumption. The original AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer is specially designed for your engine so it benefits in greater response and faster achieving of full power. Even in the lower rpm ranges, the system emits a characteristic, sporting sonorous note.

Last, but not least, the AC Schnitzer twin sports exhaust system is made from V2A stainless steel boasting a long life and optimum resistance to corrosion.

  • BMW And MINI Vehicles Beautified With AC Schnitzer Type VIII Anthracite Alloys

AC Schnitzer is offering an exquisite Type VIII alloy rim in Anthracite finish. The new wheel type is supplementing the Type VIII wheel range. The latter also features Type VIII forged racing wheels, lightweight forged rim and the light alloy wheel Type VIII BiColor in black and silver. The new offering has undoubtedly a beautiful but “easy care” look.

As a matter of fact, the Type VIII alloys are made in the low pressure process and afterwards – subjected to casting and heat treatment. The high quality casting process contributes towards the delicate and lightweight design of the new five double spokes of the wheels.

Furthermore, the perfect “anthracite” finish, gives the Type VIII alloy wheel a sophisticated sporting look, suitable for many current and classic BMW models. The wheels can also perfectly be fitted in the wheelarches of the MINI Countryman and MINI Paceman.

AC Schnitzer’s Type VIII Light Alloy Wheels are available for BMW 1 to 7 series, as well as for the Z4, X1, X3, X5 and X6 models. They are also perfect for MINI Paceman and Countryman as mentioned.

  • Geneva World Premiere: Range Rover Sport by AC Schnitzer

Range-Rover-Sport-by-AC-Schnitzer-THUMBAt the 84th Geneva Motor Show the tuning specialists at AC Schnitzer are presenting their take on the Range Rover Sport 3.0L SD V6 Diesel. They have added to the vehicle an extensive range of technical and aesthetic enhancements.

The Range Rover got a complete facelift. In fact, the tuners have expanded the limits of the Range Rover Sport via a special performance kit that upgraded the production 215 kW / 292 hp / 600 Nm to a stunning 250 kW / 340 hp / 720 Nm.

And there are no worries in terms emissions. Despite the additional power, the CO2 gases stay the same. This means that the CO2 emissions per horsepower have fallen and this is due to the “Efficient Performance by AC Schnitzer”.

Furthermore, the exhaust gas flow of the Range Rover Sport is improved by the fitting of the AC Schnitzer twin silencer of stainless steel, with two “Sports Trim” tailpipes or with four “Sport“ tailpipes, which both come in right/left combination.

The height of the car has been lowered by up 30 or 35 mm via a lowering module. Then, aerodynamic elements were added. Example – the AC Schnitzer front and rear skirts with integrated rear diffuser.

  • AC Schnitzer ACS4 BMW 2.8i Coupe Police Concept [VIDEO]

    AC-Schnitzer-ACS4-BMW-4-Coupe-shadowAC-Schnitzer-ACS4-BMW-4-Coupe-medium

VDAT (from German: Verban Der Automobil Tuner) stands for the “Association of German Vehicle Tuners”, and the Essen Motor Show is where all of the members have a get together and show off their ambitious, and sometimes even mad, projects. Annually, however, they take the opportunity to work together on a concept vehicle as part of a campaign called “Tune it! Safe!” What that mutual effort aims to show, is that one can still make insanely cool and fast vehicles and be responsible all the while. So nothing like the R8 from yesterday then. For the fourth consequent year, the subject vehicle was a police car (a BMW 428i Coupé, to be precise). Baddies, beware!

It would appear that most of the credit for this year’s concept goes to AC Schnitzer. In fact, it is called the ACS4 2.8i Coupé which really means that most of the work was done by them. What they did was to add a little more oomph to the standard 2.8i engine, fiddle with the suspension, install some spoilers, and throw in a couple of accessories for the inside. The only other companies mentioned are the ones that provided the Foliatec (responsible for the police décor) and Hella (RTK 7 signalling system). Hankook, on the other hand, are said to be the chief sponsors behind the project. That’s why the AC Schnitzer Type VIII Lighweight Forged Wheels get to wear two pairs of Hankook Ventus S1evo tires in sizes 245/30 R21

With the AC Shnizer performance upgrade, the BMW now boasts a power value of 294 hp (up a sensible notch from 245 hp). As a result, the top speed is now limited to 155 mph; and 0 to 62 is done in 5,7 seconds. The based-in-Aachen guys claim that now the CO2 value per HP sees an improvement over the standard setup.

Because the torque is also up to 420 Nm, the ACS4 needs something to tame the additional grunt and put it to use. This is where the AC Schnitzer racing suspension comes in place. It ha has adjustable bump and rebound settings and lowers the whole of the car with around 25 mm. Hopefully, the officers of the law will still be able to clear a speed hump withouth wasting the AC Schnitzer front splitter. There’s also a spoiler at the roof and at the back.

Inside aluminum seems to be the predominant theme – “Black Line” (still aluminum) handbrake handle and gear knob plus aluminum pedals and foot rest. There’s also a new key holder and velour floor mats – fascinating.

So, there you have it. Responsible. sensible, cool and safe in just about every sense of the word.
