  • BMW X6 FALCON by AC Schnitzer is Another “Oscar-Winner” Debuting in Geneva

AC Schnitzer BMW X6 FALCON Front ViewAs we have told you last week, AC Schnitzer will be present at the Geneva Motor Show. There they will not only exhibit and premiere the BMW M235i ACL2 we spoke about, but also this X6 called the FALCON. The SUV has been improved with an aero kit, but also includes power uprating, depending on the engine the X6 is equipped with, which makes it perfectly practical. There are also other tweaks that are worth mentioning, that make the FALCON a true star on the road.

    The Performance Upgrades

The X6 35i which originally produces 306 hp, is now boosted to 360 hp, while the X6 M’s horses jump from 575 hp to 650 hp. On the diesel side, the BMW X6 30d, 40d and M50d deliver 309 hp instead of 258 hp, 360 hp instead of 313 hp and 49 more hp than the standard engine.

In addition, the tuning brand also offers AC Schnitzer silencer options with “Racing”, “Sport” and “Sport Black” tailpipes. There are even other variants of the AC Schnitzer silencer with flap control and two “Carbon Evo”, “Sport”, “Sport Black” and “Carbon Evo” tailpipes. For those loving to make sound on the road, AC Schnitzer has created a special sound module.

    The Aero Kit

Continuing with the exterior appearance, it is obvious even from the images in our gallery below that the X6 FALCON has been substantially widened. Precisely, the front is 50mm larger, while the rear is 90 mm larger. In addition, the front and rear wings, including FALCON emblem, gives the vehicle a masculine stance and powerful appearance.

The aero pack continues with the in-house made AC Schnitzer front skirt, bonnet vents, carbon mirror cover, rear wing in the export version, rear diffusor, carbon rear skirt insert and rear skirt film.

    Suspension & Wheels

AC Schnitzer BMW X6 FALCON Rear View

The X6 has been lowered by 20 – 30 mm up front and 15 – 25 mm at the rear due to the addition of suspension spring sets. To make a good contrast, the tuners decided to add bigger wheels of 22-inch size and AC1 model. Dressed in two colors, the three-piece AC1 Forged Racing Rim, are matched with corresponding tires.

    Interior

At last but not least, there had to be done something for the interior. Although the changes are minor, they contribute for the more comfortable feel of the cabin. The X6 FALCON impresses with its aluminium pedal set and foot rest, AC Schnitzer key-holder and velour foot mats.

The good news is that the unlike the BMW M235i ACL2 Concept, the FALCON can be ordered and is dedicated to those customers seeking more individuality. With this model, the tuning experts will once again stun the Geneva audience and will demonstrate that anything is possible beyond the standards.

  • “Less is More” is True in Case You Are Driving AC Schnitzer BMW M235i ACL2 [w/video]

AC Schnitzer BMW M 235i Side View“Less is more” is a motto valid in not so many cases, isn’t it? However, this particular BMW Concept delivered by AC Schnitzer is one of those rare examples. Based on the BMW M 235i the project can show-off with 2.54 kg per hp. The car has another name, ACL2, with L standing for lightweight. In addition, it is so much more powerful, that it produces 570 hp with an ease.

The additional power is due to a radical engine substitution, where the standard one has been changed with upgraded M4 power plant. In addition, the Vmax limiter has been removed, while the rear limited slip differential with Drexler diff lock from 25 to 95 percent allows quick cornering.

Regarding this matter, AC Schnitzer specialist have added 6-pot fixed caliper brakes on the front with 400 x 38 mm carbon ceramic brake discs and 4-pot brakes on the rear with 380 x 28 mm carbon ceramic discs. Additional power is further ensured by the in-house made downpipe, which further boosts power and torque. The AC Schnitzer sports exhaust system with special catalytic converter (200 cpsi) combined with AC Schnitzer “Racing EVO Carbon” tailpipes delivers the unique acoustic performance.

Furthermore, the tuners replaced the standard axles on the M 235i and then upgraded them to M4 technology. This change was accompanied by height-adjustable AC Schnitzer Clubsport suspension. M4 carbon strut braces bring motorsport experience on the road.

    On the Outside

The suspension configuration mentioned above is additionally supported by a skirt, which optimizes air flow, new carbon front spoiler elements, front splitter and carbon front side wings. The rear also features some changes like the in-house made carbon rear diffuser and carbon “Racing“ rear wing with Gurney flap. Wheelarch extensions on the front, with air outlet openings in the wheelarch and three air deflector wings on each side also contribute for the powerful look. There are similar rear wheelarch extensions, too. These conversions add 140 mm to the width of the standard vehicle.

The bonnet of ACL2 is made of carbon fiber but includes styling enhancements like the Bonnet Vents in black, the special paintwork in Classic Racing Green and the AC Schnitzer special “Racing” sports mirrors.

    Interior

  • Believe it or Not This Uprated BMW 1-Series is Incredibly Powerful! Covers 0-100 km/h in 4.5 Seconds!

BMW 1-Series by AC Schnitzer Side ViewThis BMW 1-Series by AC Schnitzer has impressive motorsport qualities and it has just debuted at the Essen Motor Show. I’m sure that there is rarely anyone who could expect a brute power from the ‘smallest’ in any range, but the case here is exactly the opposite. Since the tuners at AC Schnitzer were involved, there is literally no doubt that we could expect something even worth of race track competition.

M50d Power Instead the Standard Unit

Precisely, the experts have equipped the car with the M50d power plant and impressive performance upgrade. This powerplant is originally found in the 5-series, and this is the reason why the “Diesel M-Technik” unit propels the 1-series a long way forward.

SEE ALSO: Another Essen Motor Show Debut: Meet the Falcon Based on BMW X6 M [VIDEO]

In addition, after the performance upgrade the concept engine of the ACS1 5.0d now delivers 400 hp (294 kW) and 800 Nm (592 kW) of torque. So, it is no surprise that this “mini” could jump faster than many sports cars out there. Precisely, it is capable of 0-100 km/h acceleration time in just 4.5 seconds. By the way, the acceleration from 80-180 km/h is even more impressive: the ACS1 5.0d takes just 7.9 second for this.

    Other Upgrades

BMW 1-Series by AC Schnitzer Rear View

Other upgrade goodies that contribute for better performance include AC Schnitzer charge-coolers and sports catalysts, and tuning company’s logo over the engine. Well, the last one might not boost the horses but it definitely says whom to thank for the increase in power and speed.

In addition, the 1-Series also received sports silencer and two chromed tailpipes in “Racing”, “Racing Evo”, “Sport” or “Sport Black” styles, in right and left combination. Furthermore, the “cornering comfort” is provided via the in-house made racing suspension, which is also entirely adjustable in height. In details, it delivers lowering by 35 – 45 mm at the front and 40 – 50 mm at the rear. Anotherr option is the AC Schnitzer sports suspension and suspension spring kit that contributes for a 30 mm lowering at the front and rear.

    Exterior Looks Better?

BMW 1-Series by AC Schnitzer Front View

Are there any aero components in this project? The answer is positive. The tuners used a combination of two-piece AC Schnitzer front spoiler elements, the front spoiler, chromed front grille in the export version, and rear roof wing. There is even a rear skirt, which has received a protective film and carbon mirror cover. The AC Schnitzer design stripes round out the exterior enhancements included for the bodywork of the 1-Series.

    But How About the Interior?

AC Schnitzer also changed the interior of the 1-series BMW via the “Black Line” aluminium cover for the “i-Drive” system controller, AC Schnitzer key-holder, a gear knob with digital gear display, the “Black Line” aluminium or leather gear knob, “Black Line” aluminium handbrake handle, foot rest and aluminium pedal set, and velour foot mats.

    Suspension and Aerodynamics

AC Schnitzer BMW X6 M Rear View

The additional suspension kit lowers the car with 15-20 mm at all four corners. Thanks to the new springs, the X6 M is even more agile in its cornering. The tuning team also added extra aerodynamic components to support the added power and suspension.

Precisely, the aero kit comprises of front skirt, carbon rear wing, carbon fiber rear skirt insert and bonnet vents. They all contribute for maximum dynamics and downforce. • BMW i8 Transformed by AC Schnitzer [VIDEO]

What happens when you combine hybrid power wit hybrid thinking? The result is simple and can be expressed via this amazing project by AC Schnitzer. This time the tuner has modified BMW’s i8 plug-in hybrid giving it special equipment that further emphasizes the unique qualities of the model.

    Exterior

First to be mentioned is the lowering. This BMW sits very close to the ground in a standard form, but now it is even closer. Precisely, the tuners have lowered it by 25 mm at the front and 20 mm at the rear. This helps is also to develop optimum efficiency and better dynamics.

SEE ALSO: Meet the Fastest Diesel on the Sachsenring!

The in-house made carbon fiber front spoiler elements, side skirts and rear wing also contribute for the unforgettable performance. In addition, AC Schnitzer logos can be seen on both sides of the vehicle as well as on the center caps of the wheels. Speaking of which, they are the so called AC1 forged alloys in bicolor double-spoke design which have been fitted with low profile tires.

Another benefit from these wheels is the weight saving. Compared with the standard alloys on which the i8 runs, these save up to 30 percent weight, thus improving the driving dynamics. The AC1 are 21 inch of size and matched with 245/35 R 21 tires at the front 285/30 R 21 tires at the rear.

    Interior

Unlike many tuners, AC Schnitzer specialists find the interior as important as the exterior. However, this time they haven’t given it a thorough make-over, but some small changes. Inside one will enjoy aluminium pedal set and root rest from the same material as well as velours floor mats.

  • Meet the Fastest Diesel on the Sachsenring!

2015 AC Schnitzer BMW Z4 Diesel Side ViewIt is not a production model, but a tuning company product based on the BMW Z4. The modifier behind this project is AC Schnitzer that was capable of extracting the pure sports capabilities from the powerful diesel engine under the bonnet of the Z4. Since this is only a one-off example of the car, then it is probably better to name it a concept.

So, the most important thing about this tuning concept is the engine conversion. It is actually M5’s M50d unit under the hood of the car, which now produces 430 hp (316 kW) and 840 Nm (620 lb-ft) of maximum torque. This additional power should be attributed to the engine conversion and its weight reduction due to the utilization of lightweight elements.

On the other hand, taken from the M3 series are the new limited slip differential and the rear axle gear. Another replacement affects the transmission. AC Schnitzer team did not like the original manual gearbox, and therefore it has been substituted with an eight-speed automatic with pedal sports shift.

These changes help the BMW perform fantastic. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 300 km/h. As a matter of fact, according to Auto Bild sportscars this is the fastest diesel on the Sachsenring with a lap time of 1:37.22 minutes.

19 inch AC Schnitzer forged alloys Type VIII fitted with dramatically huge rubbers, is on what this car runs. In addition, on the front axle there is a new lightweight high performance braking system that helps during deceleration.

Left to mention about the external changes are the 30 mm body lowering and the aero package that comprises of front spoiler, sports fenders, bonnet vents, a two-piece rear spoiler and the carbon rear skirt insert all made of carbon fiber.

The interior of the car was also improved with the addition of orange highlights, carbon racing bucket seats, aluminium pedals and foot rests as well as velours floor mats. And although this concept is a pure one-off, it has a price which is around 113,965 euro.

  • AC Schnitzer Range Rover Sport Gains Aesthetic Package and More Horsepower

AC Schnitzer prepared a tuning program for the Range Rover Sport and presented it last March at the Geneva Motor Show. Now the talented tuners are ready to take the driving experience of Land Rover customers even further by making the innovative technical and aesthetic tuning solutions available to order from Land Rover dealers at 20 locations across the world. With this, the tuning experts aim to push the boundaries of the Range Rover Sport.

First thing to do was to add more power to the 3.0L SD V6 engine, giving the vehicle greater acceleration and more torque. The numbers have grown from 292 hp (215 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) to 340 hp (250 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft).

AC Schnitzer Range Rover Sport can now show-off with 340 hp and 720 Nm!

Surprisingly, the standard fuel consumption and CO2 emissions remain the same thanks to the improvement in efficiency. This increase in power actually enhances the CO2 value per horsepower, and the optimized engine economy.

Visually, the new exhaust pipes give the Range Rover striking final look. There is an option of two “Sports Trim“ tailpipes or four “Sport“ tailpipes both in right/left combination. When it comes to the all-wheel drive mode, it got more agile due to the addition of lowering module. It brings the Range Rover Sport by either 30 or 35 mm closer to the ground.

Contribution to the maneuverability are also making the new 275/40 R 22 or 305/30 R 23 rubbers fitted on Type VIII forged racing alloys in either 10.0J x 22 inch or 11.0J x 23 inch configuration. There is an option of Type V forged alloys in BiColor or anthracite in 10.0J x 22 inch with 275/40 R 22 tyres.

AC Schnitzer also ensured that the vehicle improves its powerful and sporting presence. This was achieved with the addition of the front and rear skirt with integral diffuser. Inside, the cockpit adds new keyholder and velours foot mats.

Below you can watch the first video showing the AC Schnitzer Range Rover Sport. Enjoy!

The tuning experts have given this M4 further kick of energy. The car will be premièred at this year’s Essen Motor Show. The performance upgrade upscaled the power from the stock 413 hp (304 kW) to 510 hp (375 kW) and this is visible via the new engine styling. A sports catalyst is currently in preparation. It will minimize the thermal load on the turbocharger and exhaust manifold together with the back pressure. The mighty energy combustion is also noticeable via the exhaust.

In fact, AC Schnitzer’s twin silencer with sound pipe includes two “Racing Evo Carbon” tailpipe trims in right/left combination.  There is also the option of two “Sport” tailpipe trims on each side.

New suspension is also without question. The new spring kit lowers the M4 by around 25-30 mm at the front and 10-15 mm at the rear. There is also the option of a racing suspension adjustable in compression and rebound, including lowering of 30-40 mm at the front and around 30 mm at the rear.

All of this can be improved further via additions from the aerodynamic package. They include company’s carbon front spoiler elements, carbon rear diffuser, carbon mirror covers, rear roof spoiler, carbon rear wing and AC Schnitzer rear skirt protective film.

Inside, the pretty sporty style continues to gather “wows” via the new aluminium pedal set and foot rests, AC Schnitzer keyholder, gear knob with digital gear display, illuminated leather gear knob or aluminium “Black Line“ gear knob and handbrake handle, aluminium cover for the iDrive controller and velours floor mats. What rounds out the tuning is the wheel package in BiColor black. They come in 21 inches size.
