ABT Individual Tunes Audi RS3 to 450HP for Essen Motor Show

ABT Audi RS3 450 Front and Side View Since there is an Essen Motor Show currently ongoing we are extremely happy to announce that there is some movement in the automotive scene. Yesterday we saw how AC Schnitzer has been preparing for the event and it is now time for another tuner to shine with an exclusive project created specifically for the show in Germany. Under the spotlight is ABT Sportsline with their take on Audi RS3. The tuners focused on four steps that led them to the amazing results. Let’s see.

Step 1: Power

Basically ABT is constantly producing vehicles which are worthy of the race track. And this is because of their performance characteristics that are (needless to say) superb. There is nothing different here and therefore this Audi RS3 received one of the best outputs it could ever get. Its ‘Olympian power’ is rated at approximately 450hp (331kW) and 550 Nm (404 lb-ft).

Besides the ABT Engine Control unit, other performance-enhancing parts feature a large intercooler and a sport-type exhaust system with four black chrome-plated tail pipes sized 102mm in diameter.

Step 2: Exterior

However, ABT had to prepare appropriately for the Essen Motor Show and this was a very good reason to give the unique asphalt warrior a customized look. As you can clearly see, the exterior has this beautiful matt red with a pearlescent finish, while the rear is dominated by an offset black.

Step 3: Interior

Continuing to the inside, the interior is wrapped in black Alcantara upholstery, which contrasts the outer shell. Silver seams and corresponding carbon look components a sporty attitude. The door beads and trims, seat lining, center console and seat buckets are also made of the silver material. There is the ABT logo almost everywhere.

Step 4: Wheels & Handling

The wheels choice includes 19-inch ER-F that are complemented by the ultimate grip of the 235/35 ZR19 Continental tyres. Springs lower the Audi about 30mm on the front and 25 mm on the rear axle, thus resulting in enhanced handling.

ABT Super-Q5 Faster than Audi SQ5 TDI plus? Yes, it is!

ABT Sportsline Audi SQ5 Side View ABT Sportsline has a big surprise for all keen on Audi tuning today. They have managed to make a car so powerful that it can kick the butt of the standard Audi SQ5. The gains in power are impressive and they measure more than 40 horsepower. The tuner made all this possible thanks to the ‘New Generation’ engine tuning program.

The result is pretty impressive and shows significant gains. Precisely, the standard for the 3.0 TDI 326 hp (240 kW) are now lifted to 365 hp (268 kW), while the torque has been raised from 650 lb-ft to 710 Nm.

This makes it possible for the naughty Audi to jump quickly from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. Additionally, the experts decided to raise the top speed too, making it 260 km/h.

Besides the changes in power, ABT wanted to make the car a little bit more likeable. Thus the Aero pack was born. To go into details, it includes front skirt and a brand new grill, door strip attachments and a rear wing. There is a wide variant of this pack that adds right fender extensions.

Next, wheel spacers of between 30 to 70mm per axle make for the right tread, while the ABT height adjustable suspension springs lower the car between 5 and 30mm on the front axle and of between 10 and 35 on the rear.

ABT Sportsline is also proficient in making cool wheels. For this project it is offering its CR, DR, ER-C and FR models, in sizes of 20 and 21-inches. They can be fitted with Continental or Pirelli sports tires in 255/45 R20, 255/40 R21, 255/35 R21 and 265/35 R22 dimensions. The interior received only minor details and these include the in-house made ABT floor and trunk mats.

ABT Sportsline Celebrates 40 Years of Volkswagen Polo

2015 ABT Volkswagen Polo Side View ABT Volkswagen Polo is here to show us the perfect way to celebrate famous tiny car’s 40 years on the automotive market. It is almost unbelievable that so much time has passed since this model was first introduced. But one of the best ways to celebrate the anniversary is to make a more powerful and better looking variant of the latest edition of the Polo. At least, this is ABT Sportsline’s opinion on the matter.

The New Generation

New Generation is actually the name of the performance upgrades, based upon a specially developed control unit and created by the tuner. They allow the Polo V to pump out more than 230 hp (169 kW) from its 1.8 TSI engine. Just for a comparison, the serial number of the drivetrain is 192 hp (141 kW).

Furthermore, ABT specialists also wanted to achieve the best possible cornering characteristics, therefore they have installed the best sport-type springs, and lowered the front axle by 25mm and the rear by 30mm.

Next thing was to substitute the original 13-inch wheels with in-house made 18-inch ER-C fitted with 215/35 R18 tyres. In addition, the Polo was also decorated with a carbon-look rear attachment above the third braking light and the cool rear skirt set, exhaust system with its two mid pipes and bicoloured carbon wrap set.

And when you open the door, be sure that ABT-logo integrated entrance LEDs will welcome you, while you step onto the special floor mats.

ABT Audi AS6 Gets More Power and Attitude

ABT Audi AS6 Front and Side View ABT Audi AS6 as presented here is just one of the examples how you can tune up the engine of you Audi with ‘6’ in its name. This group of vehicles is usually powered by a 2.0 or 3.0 TDI or even 3.0 TFSI engines, but for some people, they aren’t as race-performance oriented as they wish.

In case you don’t have the money to buy the sportier S6 or RS6, ABT Sportsline have the right solution for you and it is called ‘ABT Power New Generation’.

ABT and the Engine Technology

The power booster includes individual ABT control unit, which features independently developed software. In case you are driving an Audi A6 with a four-cylinder TDI that usually develops 190 HP (140 kW) and 400 Nm (294 lb-ft) of torque, then this control unit will help your engine produce 215 HP (158 kW) and 440 Nm (245 lb-ft).

But if you are enjoying the other two 3.0 TDI diesel engines in the range, which generate 320 HP (235 kW) and 326 HP (240 kW) as well as 650 Nm (480 lb-ft), then you should know that after the boost they can both reach 365 HP (268 kW) and 710 Nm (524 lb-ft) of torque.

Petrol fans are also considered in case they want a performance improvement. Take for instance the standard 3.0 TFSI with 333 HP (245 kW). It is pushed to 410 HP (301 kW) with a torque increase from 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) to 520 Nm (384 lb-ft).

Another interesting addition to this Audi is the electronic suspension lowering system, called ABT Level-Control. The air suspension can adjust the suspension springs upon request. In addition, the optional ABT sport brake system with 8-piston fixed callipers is perfect for you if you want to work the break as you enter curves.

More Power Demands Change in the Exterior

ABT Sportsline optics package for the Audi A6 is what makes the car truly stand out among the others. At least in terms of visual qualities. Here we have aggressive fender inserts and mirror covers in high-gloss visible carbon as well as two different variants of the rear spoilers for vehicles with the S-line package as well as the emblem set “Black Chrome”. And note that there is also in-house made rear skirt set including quadruple rear muffler and 89 mm pipe.

At last, the designers at ABT decided that the perfect wheels for this Audi must come in 21-inch of size. They are of the type DR, but if you are looking for an alternative, then ABT Sportsline is offering light-alloy wheels of the types ER-C or FR with sizes starting from 19-inches.

ABT Sportsline are Back with 430HP Audi RS3

ABT Audi RS3 Front View ABT Sportsline team is back from the summer vacation and this time it presents more potent Audi RS3. There are not a lot of external modifications in this project, but we find that the addition around 60 hp sufficient enough.

Engine Boost

The stock 2.5 TFSI engine of the Audi RS3 produces 367 hp (270 kW). After the addition of ABT Power “New Generation“ and its extra control unit with its software, the sports model can now boast up to 430 hp (316 kW). If you wonder about the maximum torque, it has been raised from 455 Nm (336 lb-ft) to 530 Newton meters (391 lb-ft).

This addition of 75 hp results in faster acceleration time. The tuned RS3 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds on the way to a new electronically limited top speed of 285 km/h.

More horses require more impressive sound, too. Both “stages” of the sound are generated by the 4-pipe exhaust system made of stainless steel and with black chrome-plated tailpipes measuring 102 mm.

There is a choice of alloy wheels like the ER-C or light forged ER-F. For the Audi RS3, both versions are available in 19’-inch size in three different colors: “Gun-Metal”, “Silverbullet” or “Black Magic”. They come with 235/35 R19 tires.

A very fancy feature is the LEDs with the ABT logo as well as the floor mats featuring silver ABT embroidery and curved lines. Both come as an optional specification.

ABT Sportsline Gives More Power to Audi S3 Limo

Audi is a brand which has climbed to the top of its quality. Manufacturers envision it as the ultimate truth in engineering. Tuners see it as a venue for experiments which happen to be successful almost every time. Marque-lovers accept it as the king of kings in the automotive world. Of course, there are many who are ready to disagree with this but we have to admit that the Bavarian auto-giant knows how to satisfy its customers.

Let’s jump to the main point. Audi S3 limo is truly a remarkable car. It demonstrates excellent performance and great driving dynamics. And now ABT Sportsline has decided to push the capabilities of the S3 even further thanks to their ABT Power New Generation control unit. Thanks to the upgrades, the car now impresses with 370 HP (272 kW) and a maximum torque of 460 Nm, When we take into consideration the fact that it has jumped from 380 Nm to the current figures, the difference is quite huge. And still, if these rates do not seem high enough, ABT Sportsline offers a more powerful ABT Power S package which will give you no less than 400 HP (294 kW) and 480 Nm.

The 33% upgrade is the result of the software as well as the ABT exhaust system. The latter is comprised of pre-pipe and sport-type catalytic converter. In addition to this, ABT also offers right sport-type sway bars for the front and rear axle. An optional front grille and sporty fender inserts are available too. Audi S3 limo has also been tweaked with ABT rear skirt set, front silencer and stainless steel muffler with black chrome-plated end pipes included.

Audi TT XL is here to satisfy the needs of all TT owners, who are not satisfied with their 310 hp/228 kW engines. Now ABT brings and something for all these, who want even more. ABT Audi Q7 Exclusive in its Tiniest Details

ABT Audi Q7 Front View ABT Audi Q7 is coming hot from the tuner, since we have just received an e-mail with the news. So you will probably be among the first to read what it is about, and see it first in our picture gallery. The experts have also told us that although this is only an extensive visual package, they are currently developing a software engine uprating for the Q7.

Basically, ABT Audi Q7 is a four-wheel-drive machine that is capable of conquering literally any terrain. It features so much as standard that it is almost impossible to grasp how anyone can make it better. Take as an instance the virtual cockpit. But when it comes to exterior styling, maybe the specialists at ABT have something to contribute with.

As a result, they have created a “hardware’ exterior pack for the Audi Q7, making it more attractive, muscular and sportier.

Tuning Details

If you wonder what specifically ABT Sportsline has done here, well, they have added several new elements. The front received new skirt, while at the rear we prominently see a new ABT rear wing. The tail also got rear skirt set with a muffler system. Door strip attachments and fender inserts are also part of the package.

Although the SUV is one of the biggest in its segment, people are always hungry for more, when it comes to personalization. For this reason, the team at ABT Sportsline has cleverly developed a wide-body kit. The result? The ABT Audi Q7 looks more like a giant on the motorway, than anything else. In details, this effect is achieved via ABT rear and front fender extensions.

Wheels & Tires

Such huge car must run on huge wheels, and there is no second thought on that, right? For this reason the tuner has developed an in-house made set of alloys with dynamic FR design measuring the impressive 22-inces. They have been then fitted with 305/30 R22 tires at all four corners.

Engine Uprating?

At the current moment there is nothing more to review here. This means that the engine powering the ABT Audi Q7 has kept its standard output. This makes us a little bit sad, because such a huge and masterful vehicle, especially equipped with the wide-body kit, must be more have more powerful nature (meaning the driving force). Nevertheless, there is no need to cry, because ABT is currently developing engine performance upgrades for this project. No details were announced, but they are surely coming soon. Stay tuned!

ABT Sportsline Unveils a 210HP Audi Q3 2.0 TDI

ABT has been trending in our site lately so we decided to show you their latest project. Again, the car under the spotlight is Audi, but this time it is the Q3. It has received complete treatment, meaning that the changes are almost in every aspect. I should also mention that this particular car is powered by the 2.0 TDI engine, which is famous for its efficiency credentials … well, maybe not anymore. And if this speaks anything to you, then you should already figured it out that this conversion features power uprating.

Engine & Suspension

What has been done to the powerplant and how? The performance tuning has been achieved with ABT POWER New Generation kit. The result is great. The standard 184 hp (135 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of the unit has been enhanced to 210 hp (154 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft).

In terms of suspension, ABT ensured that the Q3 gets new in-house made suspension springs with front axle lowered by 25 mm, and rear axle – by 35 mm; and height adjustable suspension kit that lowers the front axle by 30–60 mm, and the rear axle by 40–70 mm.

Exterior Tuning

From the outside the vehicle looks amazing and for this is contributing the fact that the tuner has given this Audi some substantial updates. Therefore the Q3 can now show-off with front skirt add-ons including a front spoiler, mirror caps, door strip attachments and a rear spoiler. At the back, an integral part of the ABT rear skirt is the muffler system with its four tailpipes.

What is more, we should also mention the wheels, which come in the dimension between 18- and 21-inches and are fitted with high-performance sports tires.

Interior Tuning

The modifications inside aren’t that much, but they definitely add to the charm of the Q3. They include ABT door entrance lights with company’s logo and floor mats, as well as a trunk mat for the luggage.

How About 400HP Golf and a TT at Wörthersee? This Time both from ABT Sportsline

Not one but two debuts for ABT Sportsline at the Wörthersee meeting this year. The first car is a tuned Golf, which can pump out more than 400 horses, while the second is a TT coupe. The event has started yesterday and since then we are eagerly anticipating what’s next. Just to tease you a bit, prepare yourself for the reveal of the Fabia R5 Combi concept.

The relationship between these two is not new. We’ve seen a lot of great projects by this tuner involving a Golf model. In fact ABT Sportsline is world’s largest tuner of vehicles produced by Volkswagen.

Engine

This time the biggest highlight here is that the production output of car’s engine has been improved with 100 hp. As a standard the unit under the hood produces around 300 hp (221 kW), but after ABT’s treatment the car is capable of generating 400 hp (294 kW).

Exterior

The exterior stance of the model is stunning. The car has been wrapped with aggressive bilious green foil. The same color can be seen in the bi-colored 20-inch ABT-FR wheels. At the front new is the in-house made front grille, which perfectly complements the head light covers and side skirts. At the back there is a tailgate add-on accompanied by four mighty 102mm black-chrome-plated tailpipes.

The last project of the tuner we’ve seen included the Audi TT in a cabrio variant. This time, the car is the same but in a coupe form. This vehicle has also received some power upgrades as well as exterior enhancements and it definitely looks fantastic.

Engine

Just like its roadster version, this TT’s four-cylinder 2.0 TFSI engine has been upgraded from 230 hp (169 kW) to a full 310 hp (228 kW) and a torque of 440 Nm (325 lb-ft). In comparison the standard number for the torque is 370 Nm (273 lb-ft).

Exterior

The outer look of this model also got some modifications. There is a whole body kit added here which comprises of a front skirt add-on, carbon mirror caps, a rear spoiler at the back, accompanied by rear skirt set plus ABT muffler system. At last, there are ABT springs and sway bars that take care for balance and agility.

ABT Release Audi TT Roadster with 310 HP

Audi TT models are the hottest topic lately. Since the announcement of the details for the 2016 TT and TTS models, as well as the TT Clubsport Turbo Woerteersee concept, everyone started speaking about them. So for this reason, we are very pleased to introduce to you a special project, which involves ABT tuning company and the TT roadster. After the modifications the car received, it is more agile and even more beautiful. Let’s see why.

Engine

The standard four-cylinder 2.0 TFSI unit produces 230 hp (169 kW), which makes enough wind for an open-top experience. After the upgrades that ABT Sportsline gave it, the unit is capable of producing 310 hp (228 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft).

Suspension, Wheels & Tires

This TT also benefits from new in-house made suspension springs and stabilizers. This results in better balance and agility. ABT also ensured that this Audi gets new wheel spacers of 24 or 30mm and runs on ABT forged alloys in the dimensions of 20 inches.

Exterior

The tuner has also created an exclusive body kit for this sports car, which make it look amazing from any angle. Precisely, the kit comprises of front skirt add with spoiler lip and mirror caps featuring the ABT logo.

At the beck, we get impressed by the new fixed rear wing and the skirt insert with an offset centre. Not to mention the new ABT exhaust system with black-chrome-plated tailpipes and lasered ABT logos.

Can this ABT Audi S6 Beat the RS6 with its 550 HP?

ABT Audi S6 Front and Side View The day begins very nice, not only because of the NSX information, but also because the specialists at ABT Sportsline just sent us a couple of photos and details on their latest project. This time they have worked on an Audi S6, thus giving it super-strengths and some minimal styling tweaks.

The best thing about this tuning is the added “New Generation” performance package, which puts the S6 very near to the RS6. As a result, this car produces 550 hp (404 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb0ft), instead of 450 hp (331 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). The maximum speed was also raised to 290 km/h. Nice, isn’t it? The good news here is that if you have an S7 you can get the same power package.

Hundred additional horses also mean that the car needs new rubbers in 21-inches of size which were of course mated with super cool wheels. The other styling features are the new fender inserts, exposed carbon mirror caps and carbon-made rear spoiler.

Moreover, there is an electronic ABT Level Control for the air suspension. It will perfectly position the wheels in their arches, while the lowered CoG will also help the S6 corner much better.

Although there aren’t any pictures of the interior, we believe ABT specialists when they say that it now includes entrance lights with their own start-stop button, floor and trunk mats with tuner’s logo and LED shifting lights in the steering wheel.

Well, does it sound plausible now that the Audi S6 can beat the RS6?
