  • G-POWER BMW E92 M3 GT2 R

G-Power has introduced the most powerful street legal BMW E92 M3. After the introducing of the M3 GT2 S, which had “just” 600HP, the tuning specialists decided that is not enough and boosted the beast even more.

The power is coming from a modified 4.6 liter supercharged V8 engine with 720HP (530 kW) at 8,100 RPM and 700Nm (516 lb-ft) at 5,900 RPM. This is an increase of whopping 300HP and 300Nm over the stock.  Furthermore, the tuned M3 GT2 R has gone through a strict diet, so the curb weight is just 1,500 kg (3,306 lbs). 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 9.5 seconds and a top speed of over 330 km/h (205 mph). Other upgrades include a titanium exhaust system made specifically for G-POWER ensuring minimum back pressure.

The exterior received a full carbon body kit including front skirt, all four wings and rear skirt. There is also a multi-part carbon rear spoiler improving the down force. The carbon fiber G-POWER hood also contributes to reduced weight.

The G-Power M3 GT2 R rolls a set of enormous 20” Silverstone RS forged wheels wrapped around in Michelin Pilot Cup tires – 245/30 ZR 20 at the front axle and 315/25 ZR 20 at the rear. For perfect stance and improved handling, G-Power has installed new coilover suspension. The stopping power is guaranteed by G-Power’s 6-piston brake calipers with 396mm rotors for front wheels and 4-piston calipers with 380mm rotors for rear axle.

The interior comes with carbon fiber racing bucket seats (each12 kg lighter than the stock), removed rear seats and a FIA-compliant rollcage.

    Now the pricing:

    • G-POWER Supercharger System M3 SK III „Sporty Drive“ –  €41,650 plus installation
    • Carbon fiber body kit – €30,000
    • Carbon Fiber Front Hood – €3,600
    • Alloy Wheels + Tires – €12,000
    • Front and Rear Carbon Ceramic Brakes – €26,240

  • Lamborghini Gallardo Underground Racing R2 2005 HP — 1 mile in 21.852 seconds

When I published the video with the spectacular Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ doing 1 mile in 22.538 seconds, I thought that no other car can beat than (except more powerful GT-R, of course). However, I was completely wrong because Underground Racing and Altechno proven the opposite.

The reworked Lamborghini Gallardo LP570 Underground Racing R2 comes with new cooling and fuel systems. The sports car have more than 2000HP (1470 kW) transmitted on the road through a manual gearbox.

It is interesting that the owner of the tuned car and the tuning specialists bet for $25,000 that the car will beat the 22-second record. So, if the Gallardo do less than 22 seconds on 1 mile, the owner will have to pay $25k. Still, the super powerful sports car managed to stop the clock at 21.852 seconds with a terminal speed of whopping 427 km/h (265 mph). Still, I’m pretty excited to see what time will make the Alpha Omega, which recently did 1/4 mile in less than 8 seconds.

    Enjoy!

  • BBR Mazda 3 2.2 Diesel – 243HP and 529Nm

    BBR Mazda 3 2.2 Diesel

BBR has presented their extensive tuning program for Mazda 3/5/6 and CX7 models. The tuning copmany has developed its own range of StarChip ECU remaps and mechanical enhancements for the Mazda diesel range of vehicles using its brand new, state of the art 4WD chassis dynomometer which ensures an even higher level of reliable, repeatable, economy friendly performance.
BBR Phase 1 includes an ECU re-map boosting the 2.2 liter diesel to 220HP (162 kW) and 510Nm (378 lb-ft) of torque. This is an increase of 38HP (28 kW) and (68 lb-ft). BBR’s StarChip ECU remap software has been calibrated to deliver an extremely linear throttle pedal / turbo boost map, resulting in a considerably smoother driving experience compared to the factory ECU settings.
It is worth noting that BBR achieves similar gains on the lower powered Mazda 121/143 HP 2.0-litre turbodiesel variants, while customers with 150 HP 2.2-litre Mazda models can exceed the factory 185 HP power output using the BBR Phase One conversion. Dyno testing has proven impressive peak figures of 192HP (141 kW) and 446Nm (330 lb.ft) of torque on this lower powered variant.
£499.00 – Fitted and custom mapped on BBR’s in-house chassis dynomometer
£599.00 – DIY Including EcuTek ProEcu programming kit (a £150 option when installed at BBR)

BBR Phase 2 boosts the 2.2 litre diesel to 243HP (179 kW) and 529Nm (392 lb-ft) of torque. The result is thanks to a new ‘hybrid’ turbocharger with modified internals for additional gasflow potential, plus includes a high flowing panel air filter with additional ECU remapping to suit.

  • 2014 BMW i3 – US Price $42,275

BMW US has announced the pricing of the all-new 2014 i3 electric vehicle. It starts from just $42,275, including a $925 destination charge.
“With this leading-edge vehicle and attractive price, we will provide customers with a compelling offer for electromobility,” commented Ian Robertson, member of the BMW board of management, sales and marketing, in a statement.
So, when the $7,500 federal tax credit is factored in, the BMW i3 starts at $34,775, which is a very good price and way below that we expected.
However, the i3 is priced above the 2013 Nissan Leaf and 2014 Fiat 500e ($29,650 and $32,600, respectively). The Fiat 500e is available only in California.
The BMW i3 is equipped with a 170HP (125 kW) electric motor and lithium-ion battery. The German EV has a range of 80-100 miles (around 160 km), according to the manufacturer.

  • 2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 BlueTec – 9G-Tronic Automatic

Mercedes-Benz make very strange decisions… sometimes. The manufacturer decided to introduce the all-new 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox with the E-Class as we all expected it with the new S-class.
However, the 9G-Tronic (replacing the 7G-Tronic) is avaialble in the facelifted E-Class and particularly for E350 BlueTec model. The acceleration time remains the same – 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, but the two additional ratios and Stop/Start function have improved fuel efficiency in the combined cycle – 5.3 liters / 100 km with CO2 emissions of 138 g/km – combined cycle.
Mercedes-Benz has removed the standard 6-speed manual gearbox from the E220 BlueEfficiency Edition and replaced it with 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. As a result of this change the super-efficient model will need just 4.4 liters / 100 km of fuel and will emit CO2 emissions of 114 g/km. Thanks to these changes, the revised model is EURO 6 compliant.
The E-Class line-up is boosted by an E200 NGD which is a natural-gas model powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine taken from the B200 Natural Gas Drive – 154HP (115 kW) and 269Nm (199 lb-ft). 0-100 km/h in 10.4 seconds and a  combined cycle economy of 4.3 kg / 100 km, which is around 6.3 liters / 100 km of normal fuel.
