Ferrari Maserati of Fort Lauderdale is currently offering a 2005 FXX Evoluzione for $2.19 million (around (€1.57 million). The car is only track legal, which means that you can’t drive it on public roads.

2005 Ferrari FXX Evoluzione is powered by a 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V12 with 860HP (632 kW), which is connected to a highly advanced F1 gearbox providing shifting time of just 100ms. There is also a Carbon Fiber-reinforced Silicon Carbide Ceramic Composite brake system ensuring incredible stopping power.

2014 Renault Trafic

Renault has unveiled the all-new 2014 Trafic, which is expected to hit the market this summer. The vehicle is available in 270 variants and share the same platform with the 2014 Opel Vivaro.

The exterior looks a lot better than before as the front incorporates bigger, more upright logo that is emblematic of Renault’s new brand identity. Its stance is forceful and dynamic, while its wide, slender headlights give it an expressive look, and the more sloping windscreen results in a clear division with the bonnet. A wide and assertive air intake and a body-coloured trim strip between the two grilles produce a lighter feel. Sharper lines make the vehicle’s silhouette more dynamic than before, whilst the sturdiness that Trafic customers have come to expect have been retained courtesy of a protective, wrap-around front bumper.

With All-New Trafic, Renault has capitalised upon its wealth of experience in the LCV segment to offer a genuine user-friendly van that is modern and comfortable, responding ever-more closely to the needs of customers and actively contributing to the success of their business.

The engine is a newly developed 1.6 liter four-cylinder dCi offering up to 15 % more efficiency – 39 mpg US or 47 mpg UK – 6.0 liters / 100 km.

2014 Renault Trafic benefits from the knowledge and expertise of some 1,800 men and women at the Sandouville factory, which has hitherto focused on high-end passenger cars. To relocate the van’s production to France, the factory underwent significant transformation work thanks to an investment of more than €230 million.

2014 Opel Vivaro

Opel has unveiled the facelifted 2014 Vivaro, which will cross swords with the 2014 Renault Trafic also announced today. 2014 Opel Vivaro comes with a lot of styling improvements and a new engine.

The exterior boasts a big front grille flanked by restyled headlights, gloss black mouldings and chrome accents. There will be three trim levels and customers will be able to choose from two lengths and two roof heights. In other words, the possibilities are exceptional, because you can create the right vehicle for your needs. There are also 11 exterior colors – 5 solid and 6 two-coat metallic as well as special hues for special versions.

The engine is a new 1.6 liter CDTI four-cylinder, which will be able to return 47 mpg UK or 39 mpg US – 6.0 liters / 100 km. There is also an advanced 1.6 BiTurbo CDTI with sequential turbocharging and a twin-cooler system. This gives the new edition of Opel’s successful all-rounder top values in its vehicle class.

1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL AMG

RM Auctions will sale a super-rare 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL AMG. The Gullwing will be auctioned the beginning of May in Monaco. There are totally eleven 300 SL AMG cars – 8 Gullwings and 3 Roadsters.

The 1954 Mercedes 300 SL AMG is powered by a V8 6.0 liter engine with 380HP (283 kW) and 578Nm (427 lb-ft) of torque, instead of the original straight-six. Other upgrade include a five-link arrangement together with Bilstein shock absorbers and a set of AMG alloy wheels. There is also a 4-speed automatic transmission, disc brakes and power steering.

The interior boasts Nappa leather upholstery and an Alcantara trim. AMG also installed a HWA steering wheel and a lot of carbon fiber elements as well as a Sony CD changer. Last, but not least is the electronic display replacing the original 300 SL instruments.

Lada Granta TC1 Take Place in 2014 WTCC

Lada will take place in the 2014 WTCC with the all-new Granta TC1 Race Car.

The Russian automaker entered in this competition for the first time in 2008 with two 110 models. For this year, there are three Granta TC1 Race cars, which will be driven by Rob Huff, James Thompson and Mikhail Kozlovskiy. The best result of Lada was last year when Thompson finished 5^th place at home in Russia.

2014 Lada Granta TC1 Race Car is powered by a 1.6 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 380HP (283 kW). There is also an aggressive and wide body kit with extended wheel arches and updated aerodynamics including a different rear wing. There is also a set of 18” alloy wheels fitted with track tires as well as a sports suspension sitting 20mm closer to the ground. The curb weight is just 1,150 kg (2,535 lbs), which is 50kg lighter than its predecessor.

Nissan GT-R Nismo N-Attack Package [video]

Nissan has published a video with some testing of the GT-R R35 Nismo fitted with the N-Attack Package at Fuji Speedway. The sports car managed to stop the clock at 7 minutes and 8 seconds round Nurburgring.

The GT-R Nismo N-Attack comes with four-way Ohlins adjustable dampers along with some aerodynamic improvements and pieces making the sports car go faster around the corners. There is a minor weight reduction, front limited-slip differential, carbon plate rear limited-slip differential, dedicated intercooler piping made from carbon and aluminum, as well as a different engine control management and traction control management. The manufacturer is also offering a titanium exhaust system as an option.

Other highlights include a big rear wing with carbon hood, carbon front fenders and an add-on spoiler.

The interior features Recaro full bucket seats with a carbon shell and a carbon rear bulkhead and a rear seat finisher.

The engine is the well-known 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 tuned to 600HP (441 kW).

Tesla Model S Performance – US Price $205,820

Tesla Model S could be actually pretty expensive, especially if you go for the tuned version by T Sportline. The overall price is whopping $205,820, which means upgrades for $82,050.

The modifications include a set of 21” forged wheels for $7,500 and another $5,250 for complete carbon fiber body kit – a new front and rear bumper extensions as well as a trunk lip spoiler.

The electric car also comes with a 3M wrap for $6,000 and tinted windows for $1,500 from the same company. The bespoke upholstery costs mind-blowing $25 large and the sound system is another $9,500.

Tuning is expensive, but these figures are just mad. You can tune your car with quality parts for a lot less than that and the result won’t be worse!

2014 Nissan Juke – Full Details

Nissan has officially unveiled the 2014 Juke Facelift. The compact crossover is now offered in a range of four exciting models – S, SV,SL and NISMO.

Each trim level is available in All-Wheel Drive or Front-Wheel Drive. Two new exterior colors, Red Alert and Bordeaux Black, are added for 2014, along with the continuation of the special Midnight Edition and Sport Package.

The Midnight Edition features unique 17” Black Wheels, a Sapphire Black rear roof spoiler, Sapphire Black mirror caps and privacy glass. The Sport Package includes a body-color rear spoiler, 17” aluminum-alloy wheels and stainless steel exhaust finisher. A Navigation Package is also available.

2014 Juke NISMO boasts a 1.6 liter DIG turbocharged engine with 197HP, a NISMO-tuned suspension, bold aerodynamic styling, deeply bolstered front seats, red accents and lightweight 18” aluminum-alloy wheels.

The interior features bolstered front seats, a wide instrument panel and a unique center console inspired by a motorcycle fuel tank and finished in a high-gloss paint. The gearshift sits on top of the console, inspired by sports car driver/shifter positioning.

There is also a unique element – Integrated Control (I-CON) system drive mode selector, which offers three different throttle/transmission/steering response settings – Normal for everyday driving, Sport for a more intense performance feel and Eco for maximum efficiency.

Nissan GT-R R36 will have 800HP

Here are some details of the upcoming 2016 Nissan GT-R (the R36 model). It is going to be a hybrid just like Porsche 918 and McLaren P1. 2016 Nissan GT-R is expected to have a total output of 800HP (588 kW).The drivetrain will include an updated version of the well-known VR38DETT 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 engine, which currently powers the GT-R R35 and an electric motor. Of course, a KERS-like system will be installed thanks to Williams F1 Team.Some of the performance data includes 0-100 km/h in less than 2.7 seconds and ¼ mile in 10.0 seconds – flat. The top speed will be around 340 km/h (211 mph).The price tag will be between $120,000 and $150,000. 2015 BMW M4 Convertible at the 2014 New York Auto Show

BMW will officially exhibit the 2015 M4 Convertible at this year’s New York Auto Show. Other cars on display will be the all-new X4 as well as the 4-Series Gran Coupe, X3 Facelift and the Alpina B6 Gran Coupe.2015 BMW M4 Convertible F83 will use the same drivetrain like the M4 Coupe and M3 Sedan – a 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo Inline six-cylinder – 431HP (317 kW) at 5,500RPM and 550Nm (406 lb-ft) at 1,850RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) or an optional 280 km/h (174 mph). The acceleration is even better, when fitted with the optional 7-speed ///M DCT – 4.1 seconds to 100 km/h. The fuel consumption will be probably a little bigger compared to 8.8 l / 100 km for M3 and M4.As a reminder the 2015 BMW M3 Sedan F80 is priced from $62,000 and the M4 Coupe has a base price of $64,200. 2015 Opel Astra OPC Extreme [video]

Opel has released a promotional video clip for the all-new Astra OPC Extreme. The super powerful hot hatchback comes with extreme aerodynamics package and a lot of power under the hood.

The radical Astra is actually going into production sometime in next year. Some of the highlights include a carbon fiber hood, roof and wheels. There are also sport front seats, a safety rollcage and a carbon fiber-reinforced steering wheel and Schroth 6-point safety belts.

The 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine has 300HP (225 kW). It is connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox sending the power to an LSD (limited-slip differential) at the front wheels. 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) – electronically limited. There is also a Brembo 6-piston brake system with 370mm front discs sitting behind the 19” alloy wheels fitted with specially developed 245/35 tires.

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 – Grip Problem

A very strange problem occurred with the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. As we well know, the performance car is extremely fast, so fast even that it provides more traction than the wheels can handle.

The engineers noticed that the wheels rotate inside the tire, which kind of unexpected challenge that requires fast thinking. Obviously the main reason are brakes, which provide excessive stopping power.

“We were told to build a fast car – period,” commented Mark Stielow, Camaro Z/28 program manager and pro-touring expert.

“We knew on Day One we’d need to bring some of the best suppliers onboard to make it happen.”, he added.

Some of the suppliers included Pirelli and its P Zero™ Trofeo R tires and Brembo for carbon-ceramic brake rotors. The Trofeo R tires have a track-oriented tread design and compound that, together with the carbon-ceramic rotors, help the Z28 achieve up to 1.5 g in deceleration force.

It was a perfect combination, but engineers quickly found that when the Z28’s capability was tested, the wheels were rotating – slipping – inside the tires. They sought the root of the problem by marking one of the Pirelli P Zero™ Trofeo R tires at the beginning of a lap with a chalk line relative to the valve stem on the wheel. At the end of the lap, they recorded where the chalk line ended up and noticed the tire had rotated at least a full 360 degrees from where they started.

The solution was media blasting, which involves shooting a gritty material through an air gun at the wheel’s surface, adding texture to the paint for the tire to grip.
