2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel – 46 mpg Highway

Chevrolet has announced the new 2014 Curze Diesel. It will have the best highway fuel economy of any non-hybrid passenger car in the US.

The 2014 Cruze is powered bya 2.0 liter four-cylinder diesel with 150HP (110 kW) and 350Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque or 380Nm (280 lb-ft) with overboost. 0-100 km/h in just 8.6 seconds. The fuel economy is spectacular – 46 mpg Highway, so the owners can travel up to 1,126 km (700 miles) on a single tank of fuel.

With a starting price of $25,695, including an $810 destination charge, the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel is a better value than a similarly equipped VW Jetta TDI automatic. Compared with Jetta, the Cruze Diesel offers standard equipment including the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system, larger 17-inch alloy wheels, leather-appointed seating, a longer five-year 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, and a 2-year maintenance plan.

Honda Crider Concept at the 2013 Auto Shanghai

Honda has revealed the new Crider Concept at the 2013 Auto Shanghai. The concept looks pretty much production-ready. Actually, the car will hit the market this May and will be slotted between Civic and Accord.

The manufacturer will produce Crider in China as part of the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture which also includes the Accord.

The Crider is in the same segment such as the new Citroen C4L and Volkswagen Sagitar. The dimensions are 4650mm long, 1750mm wide and 1505mm tall. The power is coming from an 1.8 liter engine connected to a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox. There will be also a 2.0 liter variant, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The Crider boasts a big chromed front grille, headlights and large taillights. There is also a chrome strip at the back.

Famous Parts Mercedes-Benz CL 500 Black Matte Edition

Famous Parts has presented their latest project based on Mercedes-Benz CL 500. The luxurious coupe comes with a lot of styling modifications and has the badge “Black Matte Edition”.

The exterior boasts a Prior Design wide body kit including an aggressive front bumper, a ventilated hood and revised side skirts. There are also extended wheel arches and a trunk-mounted spoiler. Outside, the car is finished in “Moonshine Deep Black Matte” foil wrap.

Other highlights include LED DRLs, an electronic lowering module and huge 10.5J x 21” Brabus Monoblock E alloy wheels with Continental Sport Contact tires – 265/30R21 at the front and 305/25R21 at the rear.

Last, but not least, Famous Parts has fitted the tuned Merc with a sports exhaust system from the CL 63 AMG version.

Lamborghini Veneno [video]

Here is a nice video of the all-new Lamborghini Veneno starting-up and revving its Aventador-based engine. The hyper car in this video is the same test prototype, which was exhibited at last month’s Geneva Motor Show.

Actually, Lamborghini is planning to produce 3 units of the Veneno with pricing from $3,800,000 each.

The all-new Veneno is powered by a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 with 750HP (552 kW). 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 355 km/h (220 mph). The power is put on the road through a 7-speed ISR transmission sending the torque to an AWD system. The curb weight is just 1,450 kg (3,190 lbs).

Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept

Mercedes-Benz has released some pictures of the all-new GLA Concept, which will make its official debut at the 2013 Auto Shanghai, this Saturday. The crossover is 4,380 mm long, 1,970 mm wide, 1,570 mm tall and with a 2,690 mm wheelbase.

It is powered by the well-known 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol from A250 – 211HP (155 kW). It is connected to a 7G-DCT dual-clutch gearbox sending the power to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

Some of the highlights include bulging hood, raked windscreen, protection plates under the bumpers, roof rails, muscular wheel arches (with moldings), dual exhaust and 20” alloys covered by 255/45 R20 tires.

Actually, the manufacturer is planning to introduce the production version in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Volkswagen Golf VII Variant – Price €18,950

Volkswagen has announced the pricing for the all-new Golf VII Variant. The Estate variant of the model is priced from €18,950 in Germany for the entry-level 1.2 litre TSI Trendline.

The engine range includes a 1.2 liter TSI with 85HP (63 kW), 90HP (66 kW), 105HP (77 kW), 122HP (90 kW) and 140HP (103 kW). On the diesel side, there is a 1.6 liter TDI with 105HP (77 kW), 110HP (81 kW) and a 2.0 liter TDI with 150HP (110 kW).

The 2013 Golf Variant BlueMotion diesel has 110HP (81 kW) and comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. It returns 85.6 mpg UK – 3.3 liters per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 87 g/km.

Volkswagen offers 5- and 6-speed manual gearbox as well as dual-clutch variant – DSG.

2013 Volkswagen Golf Variant boasts exceptional luggage compartment of 605 liters with rear seats up and whopping 1,620 liters with rear seats down.

Standard equipment includes 7 airbags, Start/Stop system, ESP (electronic stability control), 5-“ TFT touchscreen display and AC.

The options list features Front Assist, Automatic Distance Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Keeping Assist and Park Assist.

2013 Volkswagen Golf GTD - Rear Angle

Volkswagen has announced the pricing for Golf VII GTD in the UK. The hot hatchback diesel is starting from £25,285, which is just £310 more than its predecessor.

2013 Volkswagen Golf VII GTD is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder common-rail diesel with 184HP (135 kW) at 3,500RPM and 379Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque at just 1,750RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or DSG for additional £1415.

0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph). It returns 67.3 mpg UK – 4.1 liters per 100 km in combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.

Some of the highlights include smoked LED rear lights, bi-xenon headlights, LED license plate illumination, LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloys with 225/40 tires, chrome dual tailpipes, sports suspension, rear diffuser, beefier side skirts and a big roof spoiler.

2013 Jaguar F-TYPE – UK Price £58,520

Jaguar has announced the pricing of the all-new F-Type sports car for the UK. The 2013 F-Type is priced from £58,520 for the V6 model, while the V8S is priced from £79,985.

The first Jaguar F-TYPE will be delivered this Thursday, April 18^th, 2013 at a ceremonial handover event. The Ricoh Arena, a landmark in Jaguar’s historic home town of Coventry, will host the event which will see fifty-nine Jaguar dealers from all over the UK collect the keys to their F-TYPE demonstrators before setting off in spectacular convoy along the A444.

“Ever since Jaguar unveiled the F-TYPE at the Paris Motor Show last September, enthusiasts all over the UK have been anticipating their first encounter with this exciting new sports car. Switzer BMW M5 F10 – 700 HP and 867Nm

Switzer Performance has announced their tuning package for the powerful BMW M5 F10. The price is just $6,995 , but for this amount of money you will get a power boost of whopping 140HP.

The performance package includes a new sports exhaust system, high-flow drop-in air filters and a removable engine control module. The result as we mentioned is 140HP (103 kW) and 187Nm (138 lb-ft) of torque. Totally, the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 develops 700HP (515 kW) and 867Nm (640 lb-ft) of torque.

Other upgrade is carbon-nano brake pads and Signature alloys for all 2013MY M5 cars.

Hartmann Motorsport has announced their tuning package for Mercedes-Benz Citan. It is called MetroProtect, which includes guard-systems – front-guard, side-bar-set, rear bumper protector set.

More sportily oriented drivers will be enthusiastic about the styling line “MetroStream”. Whether MetroProtect or MetroStream – both VANSPORTS styling packages provide the appearance of the Mercedes Citan with more individuality and attractiveness.

DP Motorsport Porsche 964 RS

DP Motorsport has revealed their latest project based on Porsche 964 RS. The name of the project is DP 964 Classic RS. It boasts a complete aerodynamics package, new wheels, modern suspension and some nice extras.

The conversion kit is offered by DP Motorsport at prices starting from €6,828. It includes a new front hood and bumper, fenders and side sills, rear bumper and spoiler, lens cover for indicator and grill, all necessary adapters and brackets, as well as the polished stainless steel tailpipe of the exhaust system.

The contemporary Fuchs wheels – 7J x 17” ET55 on the front axle and 9J x 17” ET55 on the rear axle. The price is €2,236.

Other upgrade is a performance package including a 100 cell catalytic converter, K&N Air filter and an ECU re-map. The increase is 30HP (22 kW) costing €2,618.

Last, but not least, DP Motorsport offers upgraded modern suspension, modern driving aids such as ABS, power brakes, power steering, a catalytic converter, smooth running and precise gearshift, improved power and air conditioning.
