2015 Subaru Impreza Sport Hybrid Introduced in Japan

2015 Subaru Impreza Sport Hybrid will be exclusively launched to the Japanese market on July 10. The vehicle is actually the second hybrid in Subaru’s line-up, following the XV Hybrid introduced in 2013. The hybrid model adds more versatility to the Impreza Sport lineup by embracing company’s design philosophy and adding sporty exterior look and a luxurious interior stylining.

The hybrid Impreza Sport is fitted with a special motor assist function, which delivers smooth and linear acceleration. It has been combined with sharp and sporty handling to bring about the best from the driving experience.

What is more, the vehicle shows outstanding fuel economy rated at just 20.4 km per liter. In addition, the car has been designed to make optimum utilization of the low center of gravity and superior weight balance. This is achieved with the help of Subaru’s unique symmetrical All-Wheel Drive layout.

Drivetrain

2015 Subaru Impreza Sport Hybrid’s batteries have been re-engineered to use regenerated energy at high speeds, thu susing more active power. As a result, the fuel economy has been improved. Renault Duster Oroch Pick-Up Revealed! To Debut with Sandero R.S. 2.0

Renault Duster Oroch Pick-Up has been finally revealed after an intensive teaser campaign. The mid-sized pick-up looks very good and what is even more exciting is that it won’t debut alone at the 7th Buenos Aires International Motor Show. Next to it, Renault will showcase the latest Renault Sander R.S. 2.0. The event will happen between June 19 and 28.

Renault Duster Oroch Pick-Up

The pick-up is actually the first vehicle produced by Renault which enters the competitive pickup segment. It is based on the Oroch concept revealed last year as well as on Duster’s design. The medium-sized pickup pushes back traditional boundaries thus creating the new segment in LCVs.

The vehicle has been built on a simple and successful formula. A perfect instance for this is the Duster family, which has been renouned worldwide. Sandero R.S. 2.0 offers space for five persons and is fitted with five doors. Being a true hot hatch it produces 145 hp (107 kW) through an engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Other goodies include ESC with sports tuning, new suspension settings, steering and brake system with four discs.

2015 Renault Sandero R.S. will be introduced to the market in Argentina early next year.

Hennessey Chevrolet Corvette Z06 HPE800 Under Chassis Dyno Tests [VIDEO]

Hennessey Chevrolet Corvette Z06 HPE800 offers nothing less but power and exceptional driving experience. And we don’t have to even convince you of that since it is a well known fact that the tuning company shows outstanding expertise in output uprating. What we have here is the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 which has been fitted with HPE800 upgrade and has been tested to the limits. And there is a video below to make things even more graphic.

The production version of the Chevy is powered by the LT4 supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine. It produces more than 650 horsepower (485 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 650 lb-ft of torque (881 Nm) at 3,600 rpm. These numbers make the car the most powerful production GM vehicle.

HPE800 Upgrade

After the HPE800 upgrade was added Corvette C7 Z06 is now capable of furious 800 hp (588 kW) at 6,500 rpm! Just check out the video and you can hear and see everything. But how the specialists have achieved this mind-blowing performance uprating?

In other words, what does the HPE800 upgrade include? There are a lot of factors contributing for the power boost. Starting with the lower pulley upgrade, the high flow cylinder heads, upgraded valve springs and lifters are just some to mention.

What is more, there is also new cold air induction system added as well as custom HPE camshaft. In addition, Henessey Performance added all necessary gaskets and fluids to make everything work smoothly.

ABT Volkswagen Touareg is Capable of 290HP

ABT Volkswagen Touareg is more potent than ever, because t has received a boost by the talented tuners at ABT Sportsline. Not to mention that the vehicle also looks fantastic due to the addition of various additional design elements. The attractive uprating is actually with more than 30 horsepower and 70 Nm of torque.

ABT ‘New Generation’ Supercharger

As a standard the Touareg is fitted with the latest 3.0 TDI engine, which produces 262 hp (193 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque. After t has received the power upgrade, canned ‘New Generation’, it can now show-off with 290 hp (213 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft).

Kahn Reveals Land Rover Defender XS 110 Pick Up in Corris Grey

Kahn Land Rover Defender XS 110 Pick Up is this week’s entry the talented tuner just sent us. For this project Kahn Design have worked closely with Chelsea Truck Company to create this truly unique Double Cab pickup based on the Defender 2.2 TDCI XS 110. Looking even more military than ever, this vehicle features all of the needed design elements to be called a masterpiece. Let’s se what the British experts have achieved this time.

Exterior

To begin with the “boxy” outer shell of this Kahn Land Rover Defender, it has been covered with one-off Corris Grey colour. It seems like this paint scheme fits perfectly to the rough style of the model, doesn’t it? Other changes include a set of extended fenders with exposed bolt apertures, new bumper with integrated daytime running lights and shadow chrome headlights.

The modifications to the front continue with the new X-Lander front grille, which is in the same color as the lower bumper guard, thus giving it toughened look. A stainless steel hood and fender vent mesh is what keeps the off-road design theme.

In terms of wheels and tires, this Defender definitely got the best. The reason for this is that it has been fitted with 9 x 20-inch Volcanic Black Mondial wheels. They were then shod with 275/55/20″ tires. In addition, new toughened mud flaps can be seen behind the wheels. The rear pair actually integrates a set of cross-hair exhaust outlets.

Interior

The cabin of the Kahn Land Rover Defender Pick Up is lavishly equipped with exclusive materials and features. Start with the Sports GTB seats, they now replace the standard ones and come in Black Leather and Alcantara.

There is also a new Kahn billet steering wheel accompanied by vented foot pedals in machined aluminium inside. Rounding out this exclusive project is the Churchill time clock integrated into the dashboard.

KTM X-Bow GT Dubai-Gold-Edition Revealed by Wimmer RST

KTM X-Bow GT Dubai-Gold-Edition is the name of this interesting vehicle tuned by the talented experts at Wimmer Rennsporttechnik. It looks fantastic but a little bit strange, doesn’t it? It also has astonishing power ratings and champion-like spirit. The Germany-based company, which specializes in electronic and mechanical power uprating as well as boost of sports exhaust systems, decided to embark on this one-of-a-kind KTM-related project.

This strangely looking car is a result of a project which began back in 2006 and was initiated by KTM. Two years later it gave the first fruit, with the release of the first prototype of this “puristic super sports car” named “X-Bow”, which stands for “crossbow”.

KTM X-Bow is available in three varians, which all aim at sports activities. The first variant is called Street and it is intended for beginners; next comes the Clubsport, which is perfect for the racing circuit; and at last is the so called ROC (Race Of Champions), which has been specifically developed for the professional motorsport.

Now, this custom made X-Bow GT is appearing on the surface. It was made with the help of WIMMER racing sports techniques team. The team has submitted to a special treatment upon customer’s demand.

Tuning Modifications

As a result, the car is now more potent, pumping out impressive 485hp (357 kW) and 520Nm (384 lb-ft) of maximum torque. The change has been made via software optimization and various other modifications.

The acceleration time is also spectacular! The KTM X-bow is capable of covering the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration sprint in 2.97 seconds and the 0-200 km/h within 9.9 seconds.

What is more, some of the parts of the car, specifically the large ones, have been gold foil wrapped. So this is why this unique Wimmer KTM X-bow stands under the name “Dubai-Gold-Edition”. Well, the name also shows customer’s origin.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Enters Baja Portalegre 500

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is going to enter the Baja Portalegre 500 cross-country rally. The competition will take place at the Portalegre municipality in the eastern part of Portugal between 22nd and 24th of October this year. Outlander PHEV is the only twin-motor 4WD in production today, and this signifies a special step forward for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.

The Japanese company has developed for the event a special version of the Outlander PHEV, which will be driven by Mr. Hiroshi Masuoka. He is the person who won the Dakar Rally twice back in 2002 and 2003. Mr. Masuoka will be also team’s captain.

In the team will take part Mr. Yasuo Tanaka. He is an engineering expert from the EV Component Research Department within MMC’s Development Engineering Office. He will be also supported by four engineers from his department.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV rally car is based on the production model but features various modifications, required for the competition. As a matter of fact, MMC has entered the vehicle in order to display the development of EV and 4WD technologies.

Outlander PHEV utilizes production model’s drive battery that is in the core of a plug-in hybrid vehicle. However, some modifications to its structure have been made in order to realize greater capacity and output.

There is also a modification in the control system which governs the motors and now delivers more horsepower. Furthermore, the generator and engine have been modified to boost power output and overall system performance.

In terms of the body, the vehicle has been fitted with a roll cage and other safety equipment features. For instance, the off-road performance is now better and the driver can benefit entirely from the upgraded PHEV system. Other changes include a higher ground clearance and longer suspension stroke as well as larger diameter rally tires.

Mitsubishi hopes that the applied changes will improve Outlander PHEV’s performance limits so that it can perform exceptionally in the rally. Under the punishing conditions of the competition, Mitsubishi will gather valuable data so that it can be used in the future development of production cars.

Bentley Flying Spur Beluga Offers Striking Styling and Features

Bentley Flying Spur Beluga looks athletic and confident. It is the new specification level that the company has just introduced for the Flying Spur V8 model range. The luxury four-door sedan comes with striking exterior and interior styling cues that boost its visual appeal and charm. Some of its distinctive features are the 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss black radiator and cabin styling highlights.

Exterior

The exterior of the car is contemporary and undoubtedly more athletic than its siblings in the Flying Spur range. The purposeful visual appeal of the Beluga is emphasized via exclusive 20-inch Black and Bright machined alloys fitted with low profile tires.

In addition, this is further strengthened via the gloss black radiator matrix and a body-colored lower grille bar. In other words Bentley Flying Spur Beluga is a specification, which is the perfect example of enhancement for a modern performance saloon and craft and comfort.

There is also the option to specify the popular Mulliner Driving Specification, in combination with the Beluga specification. In this case, the car will be fitted with striking 21-inch six-spoke ‘Extrovert’ wheels.

Interior

The cabin of the Flying Spur Beluga has been entirely created by hand. The interior is filled with extremely luxurious features like swathes of piano black veneer and knurled gear shift paddles. Contrast stitching has been applied to the luxurious seats and steering wheel as well as deep pile floor mats and boot carpet. There is also an onboard WiFi featured in the specification.

Engine

2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC in Details and Abundant Photoshoot [VIDEO]

2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC has been finally revealed! After a lot of teasers and renderings, the SUV is now here and it is absolutely stunning. The vehicle has been based on the recently announced GLC Coupe Concept and we are happy to see the big resemblance between both, because as we told you the GLC definitely deserved a place in Mercedes-Benz line-up.

The SUV looks fantastic as you can see from the pictures in our gallery below. It is obvious that the car has combined the ultimate in driving comfort mixed with a sporty touch. As a purely-bred Mercedes-Benz it impresses with its powerful presence and appeals to the eye with the exceptional exterior and interior design as well as abundant equipment.

A lot of standard safety features are fitted in the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC as well as assistance systems that will make happy any driver. Outstanding energy efficiency and 19% lower fuel consumption is something the SUV can also stand proud about. The centrally positioned media display has been integrated above the centre console. The interior of the 2016 GLC also features round air outlets with metallic “cool touch” effect.

Drivetrain & Efficiency

2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC is now more efficient than ever. This is because the company has applied an extensive package of measures to enhance the GLC’s energy efficiency and performance substantially. The drive systems for instance have been modified. Other major factors contributing for the enhance fuel consumption are the outstanding aerodynamics of the car and the intelligent lightweight design.

Precisely, when compared to the previous generation, the new diesel and petrol models have significant reductions of up to 19 per cent in both fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. At the same time, they show improved performance with the same power output.

2016 Peugeot 308 GTi Unleashed! To Debut at Goodwood [Detailed Review]

2016 Peugeot 308 GTi has been finally revealed prior to its official premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The best news about it is that it will be available in the new model year in two variants, with 250hp and 270hp 1.6-litre THP S&S petrol engines. Both have been developed by PEUGEOT SPORT. The 308 GTi models can also show-off with capable chassis and Torsen limited-slip differential, which has been fitted only in the 270hp model.

The exterior stands out with two-tone paint scheme and clean lines, and of course the application of company’s modern design language. On the inside, Peugeot has applied i-Cockpit cabin with sports characteristics and a lot of cool detailing.

The powerplant is also the most efficient in its sector and has CO2 emissions of 139g/km. The fuel efficiency has been rated at 47.1mpg.

Exterior

PEUGEOT SPORT decided to make the 308 GTi a car infused with motor sports characteristics. Boasting exclusive styling front and rear, the cars are 11 millimetres closer to the ground when compared to the previous generation. At the front the engineers decided to install full LED headlamps, at the both sides of the black radiator grille with a horizontal chequered pattern and gloss-black finishing.

We also notice the same approach on the air intake, which has been surrounded by sequential LED indicators and a red detail strip. Chrome has been used on Ultimate Red cars. Below the bumper, there are two aero front spoilers.

The sides of the cars have been redesigned significantly and now feature aggressive door sills. On the other hand, at the rear there is a gloss-black section housing the twin exhaust pipes.

The ‘Coupe Franche’ exterior color finish is an exclusive two-tone design that has been specifically created for the GTi 270 version. It features ‘Ultimate Red’ colour contrasted with Nera Black. The 308 GTi is also available in the new Ultimate Red, Pearlescent White, Magnetic Blue, Nera Black, Cumulus Grey as well as the non-metallic Hurricane Grey.

Wheels & Tires

GTi 250 runs on ‘Diamant’ alloys shod with 225/40 R18 92W Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tires. The GTi 270 version is fitted with 19-inch ‘Carbone’ light-weight alloy wheels coupled with a little bit larger tires, Michelin Super Sport 235/35 R19 91Y tires. Behind them we see solid red four-piston calipers and PEUGEOT SPORT signature.

Interior

Inside, the 2016 Peugeot 308 GTi is in perfect harmony with the performance-oriented exterior. The black upholstery has been contrasted via red stitching. It can be also seen on the door panels, gear lever and floor mats. The door sill have been finished in aluminium and carry the GTi and PEUGEOT SPORT logo. Aluminium has been also used on the pedals, foot rest and gear knob.

GTi 270 is has been specifically fitted with ‘bucket’ seats by PEUGEOT SPORT. They feature Alcantara upholstery and are also contrasted via red stitching. The steering wheel is compact, wrapped in full-grain leather and carrying the GTi logo at the bottom and a red centring mark at the top.

Peugeot’s i-Cockpit has been also applied. It features centrally-mounted, driver-facing touch-screen with great functionality, Redline theme and user-friendly approach. As an option, Peugeot has also developed a special Driver Sport Pack. Thanks to it, with just a press on the Sport button on the centre console, the display changes from white to red. It also shows additional information on the central read-out like power and torque.

Drivetrain & Braking Technology

Under the hood of the new 2016 Peugeot 308 GTi is the specifically developed by PEUGEOT SPORT 1.6-litre THP S&S engine. It comes in two variants, with outputs of 250hp (182kW) and 270hp (200kW). Both engines develop high torque of 330Nm (244 lb-ft) at just 1,900rpm and feature manual six-speed manual transmission. Both are also completely Euro 6-compliant and feature standard Stop&Start technology. This results in fantastic efficiency of 47.1mpg and CO2 emissions of just 139g/km.

The 308 GTi with 270hp can reach 62mph (100 km/h) in just 6.0 seconds, compared to 6.2 seconds for the 308 GTi 250. The top speed in both is electronically limited to 155mph.

When it comes to braking, the GTi 270 version features race-developed 380mm ventilated carbon discs in the front and the rear discs with a diameter of 268mm. Exclusive to the GTi 270 version is a the new Torsen limited-slip differential that has been incorporated into the transmission to enhance cornering traction.

Pricing

Both 2016 Peugeot 308 GTis have a starting price of £26,555 and they will be available to order soon, after they make a debut at this year’s Goodwood Moving Motor Show and Festival of Speed, over 25th – 28th June.

Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell and California Drivers Make a Lunar Visit

Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell has made an achievement which is worth reviewing. The car is so fuel efficient that its California-based drivers have accumulated enough emissions-free miles to reach the lunar surface and return. Well, there were emissions, but they comprise of clean water vapor only.

The trip to the moon and back isn’t actually the same every time. If you ask why, this is because it varies with each lunar orbit. Of course, there is an average round-trip distance which is estimated at 477,800 miles.

Since the introduction of Tucson Fuel Cells in June last year, Hyundai has sold more than 70 examples to the customer from the United States. The car has been also the first mass-produced fuel cell on the market.

2016 Seat Ibiza with Premiere at the Moving Motor Show

2016 Seat Ibiza has been updated with an extensive package of innovative technologies, new engines and more safety systems and equipment. It is going to make its UK debut at the Goodwood Moving Motor Show accompanied by a lot of other top models from Seat. The event will take place between 25^th and 28^th of June.

After its Barcelona premiere, the next step for the Ibiza is to be fully unleashed in the United Kingdom. The sporty new supermini will be joined by the ST CUPRA 280, Leon X-PERIENCE and Mii by MANGO city car.

The new engines in the range of Ibiza boast cutting-edge technology. There are precisely three-cylinder petrol and diesel units, which will offer improved performance and efficiency, better dynamics and innovative seamless connectivity capabilities.

After the Moving Motor Show, Seat Ibiza will be present at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. There it will be on display along with several CUPRA models, the X-PERIENCE and Mii by MANGO. But its most spectacular sibling will be the track-focused 330PS Leon Cup Racer. The latter will also compete in the famous Hill course in Endurance specification.

What is more, competing in the ‘First Glance’ category will be the remarkable Leon ST CUPRA 280. For an optimum performance it will be equipped with a Sub8 Performance Pack.

There will be also an opportunity for the visitors of the show to drive the new 2016 Seat Ibiza. It will be on disposal for test-driving on Thursday June 25.
