  • Bentley Shows the Evolution of Continental Through the Years [VIDEO]

Bentley Continental: Evolution of an Icon Both Models Up Fornt Bentley made a new film which pays homage to the Continental model. The video features two cars: the 2016 Continental GT Speed and the historic 1952 R-Type Continental, and traces their DNA and design for more than 50 years. We can not doubt that the Bentley Continental is one of the most iconic cars on the road. And it has been one since the ‘Continental’ name first entered the company’s lexicon in 1952.

This was the year of the release of R-Type Continental. But this year also marked the birth of world’s first Grad Tourer. It also was the fastest four-seater in the world at the time of its launch, because it was capable of producing a top speed of 120 mph it was the fastest four-seater in the world at the time of its launch.

There were a total of 208 R-Type Continentals produced, many of which were coachbuilt by Mulliner. Yes, this name is still closely associated with Bentley.

Bentley Continental: Evolution of an Icon

Three elegant styling cues define the design Continental’s DNA and they have been persisting for almost six decades. We are speaking here about the striking power line, muscular rear haunches and swooping, fast roof line, which can be still attributed to today’s Continentals as well as to the 2016 GT Speed.

Speaking of the contemporary and modern Continental, it elegantly fulfils the same grand-touring brief as its forebear. With immense W12 power, a top speed of 206 mph, it has an unachievable ability to offer exceptional comfort and luxury experience. But enough talk, below you can watch company’s view on the history of this emblematic model. And I assure you – watching the video is absolutely worth it!

  • Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 to Compete in 2016 GT4 Championships

Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 Side View Last weekend, we witnessed the final round of the 2015 Trofeo World Series. The motorsport event took place at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina circuit, making it the sixth and final season in Maserati’s single-make series to a close. Nevertheless, this isn’t the end of company’s sporting activities. Maserati has just announced that it will be back on track in 2016 with its super hero Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4. The car will be competing at international GT4 series run by private teams.

Basically, Maserati is returning to the GT4 category, after a distant debut in the 2009 European GT4 championship and a positive feedback from three ‘test races’ in 2015, at Road America, Laguna Seca and Misano. And the best part is that we will see Maserati battling on two fronts next season: the European GT4 Championships and the US Pirelli World Challenge.

However, before the start of the motorposrt events, the team must make some necessary modifications on the engine and regarding the aerodynamics. They are obligatory because of modifications required for GT4 homologation.

Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 Front View

In general, car’s overall technical make-up will remain unchanged. This means that GranTurismo MC GT4 will keep its 4700cc engine, electro-actuated transmission with paddle-shift commands and the kerb weight of 1410 kg.

The change lies in the additional air scoop, which will reduce car’s power output to 430 bhp from its current 488 bhp. In addition, the newly-designed rear spoiler and modified diffuser will contribute towards car’s performance that will match the other GT4 cars. The final set up of the car will be established during the official pre-championship Balance of Performance (BoP) tests where the GT4 SRO homologation standards will be completed.

The company will be tracking the performance of all teams that will be racing in Europe and the USA. What is more, it will also give a special award for the best Maserati driver and team. Now, you can watch the Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 in a video below.

  • The Force Awakens with Top 5 Star Wars Themed Cars

Top 5 of the Most Attractive Star Wars Themed Cars“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is probably the most discussed topic now. And it should be since this movie has left an indisputable and strong mark in the consciousness of at least three generations. From grandparents to grandchildren, everyone is going to the movie theaters with expectations of a grandeur experience. We are also excited about this world-movie-happening and this is why we decided to make a Top 5 of the Most Attractive Star Wars Themed Cars. This is how we are joining the verge of excitement around the premiere of one of the most emblematic films ever created.

Number 5: Darth Vader’s Viper ACR and Stormtrooper’s Challenger and Charger

Darth Vader’s Viper ACR and Stormtrooper’s Challenger and Charger Ad

We put the trio on fifth position, because of the little difference they have in comparison to the original cars. These three were seen rolling on the streets of Los Angeles this weekend, and probably many of you living there had the chance of meeting them. The pair of First Order Stormtrooper-themed white 707-horsepower Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat traveled in the company of the intimidating Kylo Ren-inspired wrapped black Dodge Viper ACR.

Powered by 8.4-liter V10 engine, the beautiful black Dodge Viper ACR produces 645 horsepower (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. It transmits all this power onto the road via the Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission. The car also shows-off with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, 19-inch alloys and exclusive Kumho Ecsta V720 high-performance tires. Since Darth Vader drives this car, we are sure that he has chosen to add the Extreme Aero package, making sure that he will have the highest aerodynamic downforce of any production car.

Number 4: Blood Type Racing Hyundai Veloster Turbo R-Spec

Blood Type Racing Hyundai Veloster Turbo R-Spec

Blood Type Racing has revealed this Veloster Turbo R-Spec at the SEMA show in November this year. It seems that the Veloster has switched to the dark side just in time for the next Star Wars series. It definitely looks like a vehicle that the Sith Lord could drive. It is built with an abundant amount of carbon fiber and dressed in Carbon Black exterior paint scheme, highlighted with a red racing stripe running from the front splitter up onto the hood.

In addition, there is also a carbon fiber wide-body kit that is accompanied by front-mounted aero canards, front splitter and a rear deck spoiler. Red accents on the custom SSR three-piece wheels, along with red projector “demon eye” headlamps are making this car look really devilish. The force that awakes this car is the 1.6-liter “Gamma” four-cylinder engine, which achieves more than 500 horsepower due to ECU tuning!

    Number 3: Fiat 500e Stormtrooper

    Fiat 500e Stormtrooper Exterior View

On third position is Fiat’s Stormtrooper themed 500e, which has debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show this November and has caused great furor. Inspired by the First Order Legion, the exterior livery of this Fiat has unique two-tone black and white custom painting and wrapping, making it look like a helmet.

The interior of the car was decorated also in the contrasting combination of black and white. The seats got Alcantara treatment, while the dash was painted in white and enriched by the “Star Wars” logo. The First Order insignia can be also spotted on the two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel. By the way, this 500e should be attributed to the work of the specialists at Garage Italia Customs.

    Number 2: Vilner BMW Stormtrooper

    Vilner BMW Stormtrooper with Stormtroopers

Vilner’s unique BMW M6- based project, called Stormtrooper, has been revealed one year ahead of the premiere of the new Star Wars episode. With its sparkling white color and power hidden in its forms, the car is reminiscent of the Imperial Army troops of Darth Vader. This car is one-of-a-kind, features exclusive detailing and powerful presence.

Almost everything in this cabriolet has been changed, starting from the front and rear bonnets, bumpers, rear fenders, and almost all components inside. Running on 20-inch black wheels, this cabrio carries and antique Nappa leather and brown Alcantara interior and a lot of exclusive detailing on the outside. For instance, take a look at the decorative elements of the exterior. The details about this amazing project are featured in the link below. It seems that this car had to be on first position, isn’t it?

The first place is reserved for the Ultimate Darth Vader car! It just couldn’t be the other way around! We have shown you a video yesterday of Jay Leno’s experience with it, but if you haven’t watched it yet, you can do this in the link below.

Mattel Hot Wheels Darth Vader Car is a result of the collaboration between the two franchises, which has been also released in a 1:64 toy variant. This real-size car is powered by an LS3 V8 engine, which generates 526 horsepower (387 kW) and rides on custom red line tires. It also produces heavy breathing sounds associated with the Sith Lord. The powerful engine drives the rear wheels and also has a backlit, side-exit exhaust system. Furthermore, the “nose” of this unique car is made of carbon fiber, and its design is made in that way so it resembles Darth Vader’s mask. The wheels have been specifically designed for this car as are the unique triple headlights and the split windshield. • Hyundai Releases Couple of Detailed Teasers of IONIQ

Hyundai IONIQ Exterior TeaserHyundai IONIQ has been revealed in two additional teaser images after it has been introduced as a project a week ago. Now, the new renderings show the entire exterior of IONIQ and some exclusive details of the high-tech interior. It is obvious that the car looks innovative supporting its alternative-fuelling, and has head-turning aerodynamic looks which will offer excellent performance.

IONIQ will be the first car in the world which will offer a choice of three efficient and ultra-low-emission powertrains. The first one is entirely electric, the second is a combination of a plug-in gasoline and an electric hybrid, and the third will offer gasoline/electric hybrid propelling. In other words, the car is destined to deliver responsive driving experience, which also meets the needs of reducing the impact on the environment.

SEE ALSO: Here is Why Hyundai IONIQ Breaks the Hybrid Stereotype

This ideology is reflected in the name of IONIQ, which references elements of its creation. ION is an electrically-charged atom, linking to the car’s clever combination of electrified powertrains. The second part of the name references how unique this car is to Hyundai’s range, while the Q is depicted in the car’s logo as a visual breakthrough.

    Exterior

The first image shows that Hyundai IONIQ has a sleek, coupe-like silhouette. There are a lot of intriguing details, contributing for enhanced aerodynamic characteristics. The contours will minimize wind resistance and efficiently manage the airflow around the exterior. The front of the car is typical for Hyundai’s design, and features signature hexagonal grille with active ‘flaps’ that can direct airflow over the car. At the grille we see a gloss-black element that extends outwards to the new headlamps with integrated ‘C’-position lights.

    Interior

    Hyundai IONIQ Iterior Teaser

There is nothing much shown of the cabin. But we can see that it is smooth, elegant and clutter-free. There will be probably an efficient utilization of interior space as well as layout of control functions. The surfaces appear simple but stylish. Hyundai also said that they will be made of eco-friendly materials to convey a futuristic yet warm cabin ambience.

Hyundai IONIQ is going to be launched in the beginning of next year. But first, it will be premiered in Korea in January, and in March Geneva and New York.

  • Rinspeed Σtos Concept Revealed. Debuts at CES and Geneva

Rinspeed Σtos Concept Front ViewRinspeed Σtos Concept that has been teased in October this year has been just released with abundant gallery and information about it. I’m going to tell you the most interesting part and let you dive into the see of images in our gallery below. The hybrid sports car will be premiered in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), far far away from the Switzerland, manufacturer’s home. So let’s see the details here.

    The Hyper High-Tech Interior

Σtos is a self-driving with a lot of technical highlights, especially throughout the interior. Take for instance the folding and retracting steering wheel from ZF TRW, which disappears in the dashboard in a few seconds. And as you can see from the pictures, this creates lots of space in front letting the driver enjoy in a comfort the old-fashioned way… a book. Or they can work in a relaxed atmosphere. In addition, the position of the two curved 21.5-inch Ultra HD widescreen monitors is adjustable to provide an even better view of what’s on display.

Rinspeed Σtos Concept: Man Reading Inside

The infotainment experience is secured by the innovative Harman Connected Car technologies. They come in help in terms of destinations, route selection, tourist attractions, refueling, parking, making phone calls, music, videos or personal preferences. Basically, “Σtos” gets to know the appointments, wishes and needs of the occupants. Even more, the concept responds promptly to voice commands, gestures, touch input, controller or the push of a button.

The inviting interior, is built with the help of leather and synthetic substrates, which form an abundance of patterns, functions and surfaces. The relaxed feel-good atmosphere is also complemented by the embroidered on the seats skyline of San Francisco. Polymer specialists at Rehau have developed the innovative lightweight-construction dashboard and the clever bracket for the luggage shelf with detachable umbrella holder.

    The Self-Driving Experience

    Rinspeed Σtos Concept Interior

Thanks to a total of eight HD exterior cameras, the car has an expanded field of vision that has no blind spots. The vehicle navigation also displays realistic 3D images of buildings, trees, bus stops, subway stations, etc. The information is of course linked to the cell phone, thus resulting free phone or video calls without interruption. This technology also allows smooth media streaming as well as efficient and targeted vehicle updates.

Everything is also linked to the traffic infrastructure such as traffic lights or traffic management systems and to other cars. In addition, the ‘E-Horizon’ delivers innovative safety and convenience features.

One of the most exclusive and “first” features here is the DJI drone, which has a landing platform in the rear. However, an armada of 12,000 individually controlled LEDs can transform this platform into an electronic message board. Speaking of the drone, it can deliver some very cool and contemporary services like making a “selfie” of the ride in the Σtos.

    The Concept Car

Rinspeed Σtos Concept Rear View with Drone

Being a technological marvel, this car is based on the BMW i8. It is stylish, fast and furious, and it also rides on deep black and shiny 20-inch Borbet GTX aluminum rims. The glass roof and the “drone pad” in the rear were made from especially strong, lightweight and thin Gorilla glass. In addition, the aluminum front structure and the carbon fiber passenger cell also contribute for the lightweight design.

Rinspeed Σtos Concept will make its official debut on January 5th, at the CES. It will be part of the exclusive HARMAN event in the Muse Hall of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. The European premiere of the car is scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show, March 1.

First, it is a result of the collaboration between Hot Wheels and Star Wars franchises, thus as a result the ultimate ride for the dark side has been born. In the beginning it was released as miniature, in a 1:64 toy variant, but in the end it became a life-size car.

  • One-Off McLaren MP4-12C High Sport Expected to be Auctioned for More than $1.5 Million at Mecum

McLaren MP4-12C High Sport Front View

The depicted and very rare McLaren MP4-12C High Sport in silver/black/red exterior color is going to be auctioned at the Mecum Auctions’ Kissimmee event next year. The one-off sports car is of course a deed of McLaren Special Operations (MSO), which has an intriguing history making it more and more expensive as the days pass by.

What’s the deal here. Originally this High Sport variant of the MP4-12C had to be produced in a limited run of only five examples. However, there was a big interest among customers so basically MSO made it in ten units. This is actually chassis number 9, but it is one-of-a-kind because it is the single of those ten which has a Formula 1 Vodafone Racing Team colors.

SEE ALSO: Meet the Last McLaren P1™ with Production Number 375

This unit is also responsible for delivering exceptional performance, craftsmanship and exclusivity, making it go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed well north of 200 mph.

McLaren MP4-12C High Sport Rear View

McLaren Special Operations’ spirit is also imbued in this 12C GT3 racer. There are a lot of reasons for this, but mainly because of the redesigned front and rear bumpers with side air extractors and louvers on top of the front fenders. These measures increase down force, reduce drag and improve brake cooling.

Also very cool about this project is that it is only on 208 miles. Its uniqueness is further strengthened via the signatures under hood from the winning McLaren team drivers and crew to celebrate victory at Nuremberg, Germany. Speaking about features here, we must also mention the Stealth Package, sport exhaust, carbon ceramic brakes and carbon fiber engine package.

The ninth McLaren MP4-12C High Sport is driven by a mid-mounted 3.8L twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, which is coupled to a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. It has three driving modes: Normal, Sport or Track. It also includes specially designed travel cases and rides on special bi-color 20-inch lightweight Diamond cut racing wheels.

The interior features a Meridian sound system with navigation, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, carbon fiber, Alcantara and leather in F1 team colors.

It is expected that the price of the car at the Mecum Auctions reaches $1,300,000 – $1,600,000. The event will happen at Kissimmee, January 15-24.

  • Who Said TOM’s Racing Toyota Prius Isn’t Good Enough?

TOM’s Racing Toyota Prius Front ViewTOM’s Racing latest addition in the range of modified vehicles has been rolling around the internet for some time with statements of unnecessary tuning and whatsoever. However, it seems that you guys love this tuning and we were obliged to give our thoughts on it. So let’s see is this aero kit bad or good for the Prius.

At first it seems absolutely strange to enhance a car like Prius with aero components, being a not very powerful hybrid car. However, we shouldn’t step over those of you who are a little bit more eco minded and still speed-inspired. So this aero program is perfect for you.

SEE ALSO: Small in Size, Big in Capabilities: 2016 Toyota Prius is Here!

What does TOM’s Racing body kit feature? The answer hides in the extensive updates found all over the body of the car. At the front for instance we see a brand new bumper that features black elements surrounding the new DLRs and making the front fascia a little bit more aggressive.

TOM’s Racing Toyota Prius Rear View

The front is also characterized by custom front lip spoiler, while the sides – by extended skirts that pass by large multispoke alloy wheels, measuring at least 19-inches. The suspension is also new and it brings the car a little bit lower to the ground.

The aero changes at the rear are also to be mentioned. They comprise of a new bumper, competitive diffuser and four tailpipes that give an impression of a really powerful engine under the hood of the Prius. Unfortunately, this isn’t true because the experts at TOM’s Racing didn’t speak of any applied changes to the hybrid powertrain. So we have to deal with the standard 121 hp (89 kW). We are definitely looking forward to reading your opinion in the comment section below.

  • This Rolls-Royce Phantom is Inspired by Sunrise

Rolls-Royce Sunrise Phantom Extended Wheelbase Side ViewRolls-Royce has published at their official Facebook page unique Phantom, which has a paint finish inspired by sunrise. As a matter of fact, if you haven’t witnessed a sunrise recently, you might think that this is another Barbie car. However, it just happened that I have experienced one of the most inspiring pink-imbued sunrises ever.

Basically you have to imagine how versatile the sun could make the sky and then you will get the idea behind this unique paint finish. By the way, the car is based on an extended wheelbase version of the Phantom and features some pain-striking design elements that we also have to look at.

SEE ALSO: 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn Strives For Perfection. And it Reaches it.

First, the exterior finish of this Phantom has been taken to a new level. The paintwork has been designed to pick up the sun’s rays throughout the day, producing a subtle yet striking sparkle. This means that the golden and pink tones in the paint shimmer in different hues depending on the position of the sun throughout the day or the artificial light source. One experiences various colors throughout the day, tracking the course and intensity of the sun. How cool is that?

Rolls-Royce Sunrise Phantom Extended Wheelbase Interior

How about the interior? Well, it is as exclusive as the exterior and features nothing less than exceptional craftsmanship. First, the glowing interior includes Sunrise leather upholstery accentuated by Dark Spice accents. The occupants immediately sink into luxurious leather seating, as they watch the last rays of sunlight. In addition, the wood interior also adds a golden inlaid Spirit of Ecstasy.

In terms of power nothing has been changed. Just like the other Phantoms this one is driven by the V12 engine which produces 453 horsepower (338 kW) and 719 Nm (531 lb-ft) of maximum torque. This makes it enough for the car to sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.6 seconds on its way to a top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h).

We haven’t received any computerized image with it, but a hand sketch of the machine depicted from above. And the good news is that we don’t have to wait very long for the Force 1 to debut, because it will do that at the North American International Auto Show in January.

This high-performance vehicle is an American take on a super sports car that will be driven by a powerful powertrain and will feature “dramatic sculptural exterior styling”. Other details revealed here include Ultra Thin Ventilated (UTV) laser blade tail lamps and a luxurious contemporary interior… for two.

Fisker also said that car’s body will be made from carbon and will sit over huge 21-inch wheels. Even the tires have been announced and they are Pirelli P Zero. What is more, they will be controlled by a one-off new active suspension.

By the way, the car will be driven by a front/mid engine and the secret here is that it will feature one of world’s highest outputs in a road car. The six-speed manual transmission or optional paddle shift auto box will drive the rear wheels.

This American car has been in development for the latter part of 2015. In the process take part a lot of important people, including an acclaimed American race car driver and his team. Force 1 will be manufactured in Michigan/USA and sadly its production will be limited up to 50 units. The production start is expected to begin in April next year.

The Force 1 will be priced at $300,000 USD.
