HAMANN Releases Special Aero & Performance Packs for X4 and X6 [w/videos]

HAMANN BMW X4 F26 Front View HAMANN MOTORSPORT has revealed two stunning new BMWs, the X4 and X6, that feature extensive tuning program, making them not only look better, but also drive faster. In addition, the company has released videos for both of the models that are of course featured below. Let’s see why they call the BMW X4 F26 a big breakthrough and the BMW X6 M50d more enjoyable for driving.

HAMANN BMW X4 F26

This is the tuned variant of the BMW X4 F26, which has already gained many fans. And there are a lot of reasons for this. The vehicle features all-wheel drive, responsive handling and exceptional performance. Now, with this individualization kit from HAMANN, the BMW X4 finally feels… complete.

In particular, the striking aero kit comprises of black carbon fiber rear wing with side flaps, Competition front spoiler, set of four-pieced wheel-house trims, four-pipe sport rear muffler and chrome tailpipes. Everything is backed up by 21-inch ANNIVERSARY EVO SILVER alloys and HAMANN MOTORSPORT’s suspension optimization.

HAMANN BMW X6 F16 Widebody

The other BMW under the spotlight is the massive X6 M50d, which received a premium widebody kit. The one-off pack comes with a distinctive look and an impressive extra performance. To go into details, the kit comprises of carbon-fibre bonnet that is ultra-lightweight, front bumper, set of front fenders, set of side skirts, door panels, rear fender extensions, rear bumper, carbon-fiber rear wing including side flaps and stone protection film.

Just like the X4, this SUV runs on 23-inch ANNIVERSARY EVO SILVER wheels that are even further emphasized with the lowering suspension kit. Another striking feature of this car is the App-controlled four-pipe Active Sound sports exhaust system in the middle of the rear skirt. Elibriea Concept Comes All the Way from Qatar Powered by 800HP!

Elibriea EQUVALLAS Concept Front View Meet Elibriea: the pure Qatar bred concept that comes with 800 horsepower, which has been recently revealed at the Qatar Motor Show. Car’s design is work of the young Abdul Wahab Ziaullah and since I’m sure you hear about him for the first time ever, he is a former engineering student at Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ).

The 27-year old Ziaullah was obviously inspired by the form of Lamborghini Veneno, but we can’t judge him for that since it we all love how Lambos look. And they are definitely hype in Qatar. Furthermore, the engineer suggested a carbon fiber monocoque, so that the car could stay lightweight and deliver the best possible engaging driving performance.

Elibriea EQUVALLAS Concept Rear View

Although Elibriea stated that the concept is driven by the mid-mounted GM V6 engine, we understood that there is a more powerful version envisioned. The GM V6 produces 525 hp (386 kW), while the better variant has a rear wheel drive and generates 800 hp (588 kW), and will come under the name Equvallas. The horses will be transferred onto the road via six-speed sequential gearbox.

Since details are scarce, we can’t say more about this rather interesting project. Except for dimensions and weight, if this helps. The Elibriea is 3.2 meters long, 2.6 meters wide and 1.5 meters high (126x102x59 inches). It weighs around 100 kg, which is 2,200 lb. The End Edition is Kahn’s Best Land Rover Defender Project So Far

Kahn Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon The End Edition Front View This week you will love Kahn Design’s project. In fact, we think that it is one of their best Land Rover Defender projects. It is based on the Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI XS 110 Station Wagon, which is a huge vehicle featuring space for seven occupants. It is also called “The End Edition” and includes abundant modifications inside and out. There is even an option for power upgrade.

The Exterior

This particular Defender is dressed in Santorini Black paint scheme and all of the extra elements added by the designers are in color-harmony with it. Take a look for instance at the front, which is adorned with new front and rear wide wings with integrated vents and bolt apertures and a new X-Lander front grille. They all come in black.

The same approach has been used for the new bumper with integrated lighting, bumper sump guard mesh hood vents and the Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover. Even the 20-inch Mondial wheels come in Satin Black, which have been fitted with 275x55x20″ tires and painted brake callipers.

For more purposeful driving experience the tuners at Kahn added twin crosshair exhaust system, updated the suspension with a lift and uprated gas shocks and steering damper. At last, the hard wearing mud flaps lend a tough look to this unique seven seater.

Kahn Power Upgrade

Kahn Power Upgrade unit offers a remapped performance. We haven’t received any specific numbers about the benefits, but we were told that it enhances the power of the car, smoothens the delivery and improves the fuel economy. The upgrade comes in the form of plug-in unit, which is simply integrated directly into the engine. The hardware works perfectly with the original equipment connection points, which enables easy fitting in minutes.

The Interior

Behind the dark-tinted privacy glass is hidden luxurious interior for seven occupants. At the front the seats are GTB and together with the standard middle and rear folding seats, they come in quilted and perforated leather. The same upholstery has been used for the centre glove box, passenger dashboard, grab handles, door panel inserts, instrument binnacle, rear door panel, roof headlining and sun visors.

The person behind the Kahn billet steering wheel also benefits from Churchill time clock and speedo/rev counter facia in red, alpine satellite navigation system, door entry sill plates, rear cabin access LED lights, reverse camera, and vented machined aluminium foot pedals. What rounds out this whole package is Kahn’s discreet branding.

First, because the exclusive one-off Black Crystal exterior it features, and secondly, because you haven’t seen such a luxurious interior for a while. Before revealing the details, we should say that LARTE Design V-Class Black Crystal is going to be premiered at the Geneva Motor Show that is going to happen between from 3^rd to 13^th of March in the Swiss city.

The Exterior of this V-Classs Stands for VIP

As mentioned, the luxury minivan is based on the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. It was enhanced with a brand new tuning package, which is going to be premiered in Geneva. Paying homage to the custom GL-Class (judging by the name), the car inevitably features many similarities. Like a precious diamond, the mini van has an expressive and unique body design, offers refined performance and very accurate lines.

We see brand new front and rear bumpers, which were created out of a composite of materials and decorated with carbon elements. In addition, the front one has two inlaid crystals, symbolizing the name of the tuning package.

Other significant updates include fog lights with dual optical element an including the LED daytime running lights. At the front we don’t see the Mercedes-Benz emblem, but the logo with company’s horseshoe as a symbol of good luck.

B&B Automobiltechnik Shows How to Boost Performance of BMW M4/M3

B&B Automobiltechnik BMW M4 F82 Front View B&B Automobiltechnik has created a special comprehensive performance package not for one but two models of the BMW M family. We are talking about the M3 (F80) and M4 (F82), and the particular illustrated example is BMW M4 Convertible. The pack is broad and features a lot of tweaks for the engine and the handing. The main goal is to boost as much as possible the performance and driving capabilities of the car.

How to Boost Performance?

If you have ever wondered about the ways to boost the performance of your car, here are some ideas that might be useful to you. In terms of software, B&B is offering a three-staged program, which uplifst dramatically the power and torque of the BMW TwinPower Turbo straight-six engine. As a standard the unit produces 431 hp (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.

The intermediate Stages 1 and 2 uprate these numbers to 490 hp (360 kW) and 540 hp (397 kW), respectively, while the highest one uplifts the horses to 580 hp (426 kW) and the torque to 750 Nm (555 lb-ft). All three stages feature software adaptation for the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and removal of the top speed limiter.

Next, additional performance boosts were achieved with modified turbochargers, higher-flow intake tract, larger exhaust downpipes, more efficient charge air cooler, and an ECU remap with revised fuel, spark and boost parameters.

But let me impress you with more details. In Stage 3, the M3 and M4 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, in comparison to the standard 4.6 seconds. The 0-200-km/h time is reduced from 13.4 to 11.2 seconds, while the Vmax goes over 330 km/h.

Something you need if you add all of this inside your M4 is B&B’s thermostatically-controlled supplementary oil cooler system. It is recommended for all three engine upgrade stages, because it lowers thermal stress on the motor by reducing oil temperatures by up to 25°C.

Handling And More…

Boosts in performance require optimized handling. B&B offers various ways of doing it: a threaded height adjustable sport suspension kit (lowering up to 25 mm), set of sport springs (lowering up to 30 mm) and the super cool KW coil-over suspension. The latter offers ride height and damper bounce, thus substantially enhances chassis performance.

High performance brake system was added and it comprises of 396 mm and 380 mm vented discs. At last, rounding out this tuning are the B&B 9.0 and 11.0×20-inch alloy wheels shod with 255/30R20 and 305/25R20 tires.

BMW 1 Series M Coupe has Gained an Addition of 224 HP. See the Result!

Alpha-N Performance BMW 1 Series M Coupe Front View Alpha-N Performance is a tuning company famous for its attraction for BMW cars and its urge to uprate their power. This time we are about to witness how 1 Series M Coupé has become something more than just another BMW with “M” letter. We’ll go into details, but let’s take a look at some “stock” information first.

The inherent performance of the car has been used as a basis for its upgrade. The 1 Series M Coupé produces 340 hp (250 kW) from its TwinPower Turbo N54B30 straight-six engine. This is pretty good, isn’t it?

This is the reason, because of which the specialists didn’t choose to make “simple” software remapping, but went back to basics by first addressing the flow capacity of the engine’s forced aspirated system.

The in-house turbocharger upgrade uses larger compressor and turbine wheels in a modified housing. This results in gains in terms of power. The efficiency was improved as well, while the charge air temperature was reduced with a Wagner Tuning EVO3 intercooler. In order to increase the airflow velocity and volume, a larger Charge-pipe system with Forge Blow-Off Valve was installed. Updates were done on the fuel pump, spark plugs and ignition coil packs. The exhaust has been enhanced via Wagner downpipes, and a free-flow middle silencer in the ‘Race’ version, which feeds the standard rear silencer box.

There is something fascinating here. To cool the top-end of the engine during combustion, 9.5-liter tank and its bespoke pump were installed in the boot. This is actually a Snow Stage 3 water-methanol injection system, calibrated for a 50/50 mixture of distilled water and ethanol. It also boosts the output significantly.

The hardware upgrades were then complemented by ECU remap of the fuel, spark and boost pressure parameters. The final result is spectacular and it is the sensational 564 hp (415 kW) and an impressive peak torque of 734 Nm (542 lb-ft). This makes more than 220 horsepower in addition! The newfound power is transferred to the drivetrain via competition grade clutch mated to a proprietary single-mass flywheel made of from high-grade steel.

The suspension was also improved via fully adjustable coil-overs that can be set up for road or track use. On the outside the car also got new BMW Performance front splitter and rear spoiler lip, thus reducing lift at both ends and giving the car a more purposeful look.

At last, we should mention the changes that have happened to the cabin. They include hard shell backed sport seats and sports steering wheel with LED upshift indicator and central display window. It seems that they are crucial aids that boost driver’s focus.

Jaguar Reveals Stunning F-TYPE SVR Ahead of Geneva Debut [w/video]

Before it makes its debut in Geneva, Jaguar will release full technical specifications, pricing, images and films on 17 February. The car is scheduled to go on sale this summer.

Everything You Need to Know About the 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster and Boxster S

They are here: 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster and Boxster S have been finally revealed! Besides their new name, they seem to be more powerful and more beautifully looking than ever before! Porsche has proudly announced that they have gained more than 35 horsepower and up to 36 percent more torque! The fuel economy improvements are of up to 14 per cent; the cars also feature revised exterior, updated brakes and suspension and more advanced technology.

With the change in the name (the number 718), Porsche pays tribute to the flat-four cylinder engines that were used in the mid-engine Porsche 718 sports car. The latter was a price winner and received many accolades in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

So at the heart of the model, there is the newly developed, turbocharged flat four-cylinder engine. Depending on the variant it is with different displacement. Here are all details you need to know about 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster and Boxster S.

The Flat-Four Cylinder Engines

718 Boxster

The 718 Boxster is driven by the 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, which produces 300 hp (220 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque, available from 1,950 rpm to 4,500 rpm. Significant gains in acceleration are due to these changes: the 0-90 mph sprint now happens in 4.5 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds faster than the previous model. The top speed is limited at 170 miles per hour, which happens to be 8 miles per hour faster than before.

718 Boxster S

2017 Porsche 718 Boxster S is equipped with the 2.5-litre engine, which generates 350 hp (257 kW), and its greater power is boosted by the utilization of a turbocharger with variable turbine geometry. In terms of Newton meters, this car develops 419 Nm (309 lb-ft) of torque 1,900 rpm to 4,500 rpm. This means that the Boxster S is capable of reaching 60 mph 4.0 seconds, which is 0.5 seconds faster than its predecessor. Another difference is that top speed of the 718 Boxster S is 177 miles per hour – 5 miles per hour faster than previously.

Both models come with standard six-speed manual transmission, while the fuel-saving Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) is offered as an option.

Sharper Exterior Design But Minor Changes Inside

In terms of design there are changes that need to be addressed. The front is now wider and more muscular, features larger cooling air intakes and redesigned Bi-Xenon headlights with integrated LED DRLs. LED headlights with four-point daytime running lights come as an option.

The sides of the models include new style for the wings and side sills, larger air inlet panels with two fins, and the doors come without door handle recess covers. More prominently however stand out the 19-inch wheels on the 718 Boxster S.

The back of the 718 Boxsters highlights the new width, dude to the strip with integrated Porsche badge between the taillights. Speaking of which, they feature three-dimensional LED technology and four-point brake lights.

Unfortunately, the interior hasn’t been changed so much. There are minor updates on the elements of the instrument panel. The biggest benefit of the cabin is that tit now features Porsche Communication Management (PCM) as a standard. PCM includes cell phone preparation, audio interfaces and the 110 watt Sound Package Plus. Optionally, the system can be improved with a navigation module including voice control, or a Connect Plus module featuring extension of the navigation module.

Greater Agility

Greater agility means sportier suspension tuning and calibration. In fact, 718 Boxster’s suspension was entirely retuned and as a result it delivers better cornering performance. In addition, the electric steering system is 10% more direct than previously, thus increasing agility, precision and maneuverability.

PASM

Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) comes as an option here. It includes a ten millimeter lower ride height, and for the 718 Boxster S the millimeters are 20. What is more, the retuned active suspension, delivers an even broader spread between long-distance touring comfort and dynamic responsiveness.

Sport Chrono Package

Sport Chrono Package has been created for those of you who want engaging driving experience. It features Individual program in addition to the three standard settings: Normal, Sport and Sport Plus. Those 718 Boxsters that will be equipped with PDK, will get a Sport Response Button with this pack. The button was inspired by motorsports and sharpens the responsiveness of the engine and the transmission, delivering better acceleration.

2017 Porsche 718 Boxster and Boxster S are available to order now! They will reach U.S. dealerships in late June 2016. The 718 Boxster has a starting price of $56,000 USD, while the price tag of the 718 Boxster S begins from $68,400 USD.

2016 Chevrolet COPO Camaro VIN#001 Gathers Money for Charity at Barrett-Jackson

Ford Explorer Platinum Starring in the Next “X-Files” Episode

Ford Explorer Platinum Front View If you are a 90s kid like me, you should be crazy about the release of the new “The X-Files series. But if you are a Ford Explorer fan, you should be too looking forward to the new episodes! What do “The X-Files” have to do with Ford Explorer? The answer is that the Ford Explorer Platinum will be the vehicle carrying the FBI Agent Dana Scully, played by Gillian Anderson, throughout the highly anticipated six-episode series.

The anticipated appearance of the Explorer Platinum will be integrated into a scene from the second night of the show’s two-part premiere. In addition, along with the appearance of the emblematic SUV, Ford will be proudly “starring” with other vehicles, namely an Escape, Mustang and black Taurus.

The Explorer is Ford’s best-selling SUV in North America for the last 25 years. It was re-introduced as an absolutely all-new model five years ago and since then its sales increased exponentially. Las fall the company debuted the Explorer Platinum, which was proudly showing-off with leather-wrapped interior, exclusive 500-watt Sony Audio System, and abundance of smart technology like the enhanced active park assist, a lane-keeping system and rain-sensing wipers.

Driven by the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 unit, the SUV generates more than 365 horsepower (268 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 474 Nm (350 lb.-ft.) of torque at 3,500 rpm. The engine is connected to the six-speed SelectShift.

Aston Martin Releases Special Vantage S Blades Edition

This is Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Blades Edition. It is special, unique and definitely one of those cars we might never be able to see with our own eyes. The first reason for this is that it was commissioned Aston Martin Cambridge, from which we understood about its appearance. The second and more important reason is that there will be only five example of this unique edition ever built.

Of course, everything has its explanation. The five Blades Editions will be produced to pay tribute to “The Blades”, an ‘Aerobatic Display Team’ based in the UK. In fact it is the only display team in the world that flies at air displays and acts as an airline taking passengers on close formation aerobatic flights.

Anyway, this very special car is dedicated to the five ‘Iconic Stunt Aircraft’ and features unique package of bespoke tailoring. Of course, since there are just five examples to be built, each of them will come with its own unique identifier linking it directly to one of The Blades aircraft. How cool is that!

Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Blades Edition Rear View

Each variant has a silver exterior contrasted by black roof. There are orange accents on the black front grille, on the bi-colored rear-view mirrors and even the break calipers are orange. Thy contrast very well behind the five double spoke black alloys. The front spoiler is made of carbon fiber.

Inside, we can spot the orange highlights on the front seats that are wrapped in black leather. The Blades logo on the headrest is also decided in the contrasting color.

There is nothing different in terms of power here. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Blades Edition is driven by the standard 4.7-liter V8 engine, which produces 430 hp (316 kW) and 490 Nm (361 lb-ft) of maximum torque. Smart Introduces Edition White and Edition Black

Smart ForFour Edition Black smart is looking to extend its range’s variety by adding white and black editions to the fortwo and forfour models. Since the brand new model can be currently ordered with first deliveries and dealership sales in February, it was the perfect moment for smart to introduce these two premium edition.

To go into details, the cars are based on the well known and loved prime trim line. It brings about a sort of luxury, with features such as heated leather seats. What is more, the future owners of either of the editions will also get the Urban Style and the Premium packages at no cost.

The packs include some extra goodies that enhance the attractiveness of the models. For instance, the standard steering wheel is substituted with a three-spoke sports one that has been wrapped in perforated leather. Or take for example the brushed stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs and the 16-inch Y-spoke-alloy wheels in black.

Continuing with the exhaust system with chrome-plated tailpipe, the wheel-arch extensions with smart lettering, the rear parking assistance and smart media system including European satellite navigation. Furthermore, the cars are also getting the comfort package, which means that the driver can adjust the steering wheel, the height of the seat, and the heated adjustable exterior mirrors. At last, we must mention that the privacy of the occupants remains intact due to the privacy glass in the rear.

Over this come the goodies added by white and black edition models, making them instantly recognizable as special-edition smarts. Precisely, the edition white models feature white tridion cells, combined with white body panels and a white grille. On the opposite, the edition black models come with black bodywork, black tridion cells and a black grille. The good news is that you can add some contrast by opting for a white tridion cell instead.

Just like the other cars in the smart range, these special editions are driven by either a 71 hp (52 kW) naturally-aspirated or 90 hp (66 kW) turbo three-cylinder petrol engine. The choice of transmission is the five-speed manual or six-speed twinamic automatic. The smart edition white and edition black are currently available to order with first deliveries expected in February. The pricing starts at £12,360.
