Vilner completes Carlsson Mercedes-Benz S500

I am always excited to announce a whenever there’s something new going on around the Bulgarian tuning company Vilner. Now, the fellows have made a major commitment in transforming three emblematic vehicles.

Namely the cars are Mercedes-Benz S500 by Carlsson, Audi S8 and Mercedes-Benz S63 by Brabus. In fact the last one is the only fully completed by Brabus Mercedes commissioned by Bulgarian.

Today, Vilner has given more details on the work done on the S500 Carlsson. More information around the other cars is expected very soon.

But to go further into details, the exceptional work on the S500 started with light touches on the back lights of the car. In addition, the front lights were further developed in order to keep the masterful presence. They are finished in matte black, black from and red accents.

Next, the tuners have given this Mercedes-Benz an alcantara roof, black shades and black alcanatra accent on the rearview mirror. The steering wheel has been also tweaked and now it looks more like one of S65.

Furthermore, they have installed a monitor on the center console and a digital TV tuner with MPEG4. The interior enhancements continue with the alcantara ceiling. In fact it was accentuated even more with black nappa leather with light gray stitching.

SR Auto Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder: Project Mastermind

Project Mastermind is the name of the latest work of the tuners from SR Auto Group, which is done not on a mere car but on a true Lamborghini. In addition, it is the convertible version of the Gallardo Spyder.

SR Auto Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is powered by a 5.2 liter V10 with 550 hp (405 kW) and 540Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. This means that it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.2 seconds on its way to the top speed of 319 km/h (198 mph).

Moreover, the soft-top of the Gallardo Spyder is designed for unlimited top-speed enjoyment both open and closed. With the aim to capture the glory of a cabriolet supersports car, the tuners have performed so well that they are enhancing the immaculate appearance of the Gallardo.

What they have done in particular is to equip it with a set of mesh wheels. Their choice was the Design 2WO by PUR Wheels. A great attention to detail has been paid to those wheels in a Modern Matte Black finish.

HRE Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale C99S

HRE Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale C99S is another supermachine tuned by the unstoppable HRE Performance Wheels team. This limited edition Super Trofeo Stradale is in fact one of the hundred and fifty examples produced.

Being a true Lamborghini it boasts stunning power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kilograms per horsepower and has a breathtaking performance. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds and reaches 200 km/h just 10.4 seconds later. Its forward thrust finally tops out at 320 km/h.

Furthermore the supersports car is equipped with the powerful V10 powerplant, which generates 570 horsepower (420 kW) at 8000 RPM. The maximum torque is equally impressive, with the torque curve peaking at 540 Nm (400 lb-ft) at 6500 RPM.

The tuners have given this Rosso Mars Red beauty a set of their C99S with 19 inches front and 20 inches rear wheels. These include now updated designs creating the latest in lightweight technology for Motorsport and Street applications.

The car also features an aggressive rear diffuser, carbon composite rear aero spoiler and quick-release engine cover.

Lamborghini Aventador LP760-4 Dragon Edition by Oakley Design [VIDEO]

Lamborghini Aventador LP760-4 Dragon Edition was presented recently for the first time at Chelsea Auto Legends. This limited edition model was the special feature of the Oakley Design.

Only ten examples of the sumptuous Dragon will be produced. Some of its unique features include a fixed carbon fiber rear spoiler, redesigned front bumper and rear air vents.

In terms of power the super car was modified and now is able to achieve 760 horsepower (560 kW). Part in this power enhancement plays the new titanium exhaust system.

The “Dragon Edition” also runs on new forged Monoblok HRE Wheels that are wider and lighter than stock ones. They have modern conical profile creating the strongest, lightest P40 version up to date.

In particular, the Lamborghini is fitted with 19×9.5 at the front and 20×13 at the rear. The wheels are in gloss black finish. Here, the side cuts and backpad pocketing are standard in order to minimize unsprung mass and rotational inertia for maximum performance and handling.

SsangYong e-XIV Concept to be Revealed in Paris

SsangYong e-XIV Concept is going to be officially revealed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. This is an environmentally friendly electric car concept, named e-XIV.

The e-XIV abbreviation stands for exactly the following: electric − eXciting user Interface Vehicle. This EV concept has been included within the SsangYong XIV design series and the B-segment CUV (crossover utility vehicle).

In fact, this concept is a “Range Extender EV” electric car which in addition is also self-chargeable by using a small petrol engine. This allows the vehicle to overcome the issues of limited driving distance and battery charging infrastructure.

In particular, the dimensions of the e-XIV concept are: 4,160 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, 1,575 mm height, and the wheelbase is a 2,600 mm. The glass roof provides enhanced visibility for passengers, while the roof mounted solar cell panels supply pollution free solar energy.

SR Auto Range Rover Shows the Range Of Details

SR Auto Range Rover is the next exquisite tuning that the fellows from SR Auto have prepared for us. They have done a unique tuning on the classy and stylish Range Rover.

Their leading motive was “simplicity”, which helped them focus on selecting a strong wheel design. And they surely did it!

The wheel design that met all of their criteria was the 3HREE DEPTH design from PUR Wheels. When SR Auto and PUR Wheels work hand in hand it is always a good sign of exciting upcoming tuning.

When one takes a look at the Rover for the first time, the spokes seem like standard straight edged design. However, when one gets closer he or she begins to notice all the fine and exquisite details.

Each side of the spoke is etched with a staggered weight saving groove. The wheels are in size 22 inches and perfectly complement the powerful stance of this SUV.

SR Auto Ford Mustang – the American Dream

SR Auto Ford Mustang just came out of the dark. Being a Ford Mustang, the car is firstly a true symbol of America’s contribution to the evolution of the automotive world.

The modification performed by SR Auto began with the wheels and suspension. To match Mustangs extraordinary power, they decided to equip the car with set of 18 inch wheels. Thanks to them, the tuners increased the profile of the tire to provide more traction.

Furthermore, they have also installed on this emblematic Ford model a set of H&R lowering springs to lower the Mustang’s center of gravity. This of course resulted in a more responsive and direct due to the drop handling.

In terms of performance, the tuners chose the simple Magnaflow catback exhaust system. In short, what basically this system did is to free up the airflow while giving this Mustang a nice growl.

In addition the throttle response was also improved via a sprint booster. This significantly increased the throttle response giving the person behind the wheel more control over the machine.

2012 Toyota RAV4 Altitude Special Edition

2012 Toyota RAV4 Altitude Special Edition has jut been released by the Japanese brand and it is going to offer its customers a wide range of extra-value features. This new Toyota model is based on the 2WD and AWD RAV4 four-cylinder CV models.

However, it is now being offered with a list of nine added features. In addition, the drivers can choose whether they wand to drive a 2WD model equipped with manual or automatic transmission, or an AWD model with automatic transmission.

Some of the additional features included here are the satellite navigation and five 17-inch alloy wheels. In addition to this the RAV4 Altitude also comes with two reverse parking sonar sensors.

Exterior enhancements also include silver roof rails, front fog lamps, rear-quarter, rear-door and rear privacy glass, and an “Altitude” exterior badge. Furthermore, five exterior color choices are now being at hand, namely: Pearlescent White Crystal Pearl, Silver Pearl, Graphite, Ebony and Wildfire.

How about the interior? Any customer will be satisfied to see and enjoy the 6.1-inch LCD touch-screen audio unit, with satellite navigation with 3-D display and SUNA traffic warnings. This system also includes voice recognition for audio controls, Bluetooth™ phone control and navigation control.

Some of the prominent features of this advanced 40W x 4 maximum power audio head unit include a single CD player, SD Card Slot, rear camera input capability, USB connectivity, iPod® control, and Bluetooth telephone and audio-streaming functionality.

The Altitude SE includes also a premium steering wheel and premium gear-shift knob. The electric power-assisted steering, vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-skid brakes and Hill-start Assist Control are all of the new improvements in this model which now come as standard equipment.

Only 2000 examples of this special edition Toyota will be produced. The starting price for 2012 Toyota RAV4 Altitude Special Edition is $29 990.

What does it take to become the 2013 Audi R8 [VIDEO]

The new 2013 Audi R8 range debuted more than two months ago. Now the engineers from Audi decided to reveal what it takes to create such unique sportscar as the R8.

They have integrated in it new seven-speed S tronic transmission, which now delivers outstanding driving excitement, lower CO2 emissions and improved the acceleration time.

The new Audi R8 V10 plus develops 550 hp (405 kW) and maximum torque of 540 Nm (400 lb-ft) at 6,500 rpm. This version sprints from 0 to 62mph in only 3.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 197mph.

2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab

2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab editions are here to enhance the 2013 model line-up. Both vehicles include off-road equipment never before offered on a production Jeep vehicle.

Grand Cherokee Trailhawk was introduced as a concept earlier this year. In addition, the Wrangler Moab delivers rugged off-road features such as winch-ready steel bumpers, upgraded rock rails and an available rear-locker.

2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is going to be quipped with a V-6 or V-8 engine and will include the following equipment: 18-inch Goodyear Silent Armor all-terrain tires with Kevlar reinforcement, Solid steel rock rail body protection, Quadra-Lift air suspension, with nearly 11 inches of ground clearance, Selec-Terrain traction control system, a Rear Electronic Limited-slip Differential (ELSD, V-8), and Quadra-Track II or Quadra-Drive II (V-8) with a two-speed transfer case.

The new Trailhawk model will be recognized by its new red Trailhawk signature and a Trail Rated badging. Furthermore it includes tow hooks, black-surround headlamps and a unique gray on the grille surround, side mirrors, rear light bar, 4×4 badge and five-spoke 18-inch aluminum wheels.

Another innovation included here is the black hood decal with a red accent stripe, which helps reduce glare from the sun which can help the driver in extreme off-road situations.

On the other hand the interior of this Jeep model includes black leather and performance suede seats with red accent stitching and Mopar slush floor mats front and rear.

2013 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will be available on several exterior trim colors: Bright White, Brilliant Black, Mineral Gray, Maximum Steel and Deep Cherry Red.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab Special Edition is the next exclusive vehicle presented by the brand. The Moab is based on the premium Sahara model and it includes hardware that off-roading enthusiasts will love.

For example, some of the off-road modifications made here include 17-inch Rubicon alloy wheels painted gloss black and wearing new 245/75R17 Goodyear Silent Armor off-road tires with Kevlar reinforcement, a standard Trac-Lok anti-spin rear differential with an available electronic rear locking differential, winch-ready steel bumpers and premium rock rails.

In addition to this the Wrangler Moab will come also equipped with one-of-a-kind Mopar power dome hood, black fuel filler door and tail lamp guards. Exclusive are also the new soft top, black wheel arches, matte black Jeep grille badge and “Moab” decals on the hood.

The interior of this vehicle features black or saddle premium leather seating with black stitching, “Moab” embossed instrument panel grab handle, Mopar slush mats and Iron Gray trim on the vent rings, grab handles and steering wheel spokes.

Furthermore, the Jeep Wrangler Moab will be available in two-door or four-door version. It is going to be offered in six exterior trim colors: Crush, Dozer, Rock Lobster, Gecko, Black and Bright White.

The limited-edition 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab models will arrive in showrooms in October.

2013 Skoda Octavia Limited Edition – Pricing Announced

2013 Skoda Octavia Limited Edition has just been launched by the Czech manufacturer. This model will be offered in two versions – the Octavia SE Connect and Octavia vRS Blackline.

This in fact is one of the best family cars ever created and in addition it delivers great combination of style, reliability, comfort and class-leading interior space.

The firs trim model – the Octavia SE Connect, is based on the already highly popular SE trim. The car is equipped with 1.6 TDI CR 105 hp (77 kW) DPF engine mated to a manual transmission. It has CO2 emissions of just 119g/km.

A generous standard equipment is featured in the SE Connect: 16-inch ‘Crateris’ alloy wheels, rear acoustic parking sensors and GSM II telephone preparation and metallic paint, plus Skoda’s mobile device interface (MDI) connectivity package and Maxidot functionality.

The starting price of SE Connect will begin at £13 990.

On the other hand the Octavia vRS Blackline is going to offer its customers great performance and a host of additional equipment. The new model will be on sale in both hatch and estate body styles.

It includes 18-inch black alloy wheels, acoustic rear parking sensors, Amundsen satellite navigation system, DAB radio and vRS leather upholstery. The exterior trim colors available are: Candy White, Black Magic pearl effect or Race Blue metallic.

The Octavia vRS Blackline draws its power thanks to the vigorous 2.0-litre TDI CR 170 hp (125 kW) DPF engine. The latter can be mated either to a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG automatic transmission.

The starting price of the vRS Blackline is £21 260.
