Teaser: DMC McLaren MP4 Velocita

The latest creation of the luxury tuner DMC is called DMC McLaren MP4 Velocita. It hasn’t been revealed fully yet, but instead the tuning team decided to tease our sense by releasing these new images.

We can’t conclude much from the photo, but what we can see is that this McLaren is definitely going to have more aggressive stance than its other siblings. Given that there are re-designed front-grill and front lip, presumably there will be a whole body package.

Having in mind the work of the luxury tuner, we’re also certain to see side skirts, rear diffuser and an aggressive wing on the MP4 package as well. In addition, there will be also a rear spoiler with a “ground braking new design”.

Isuzu D-Max Eiger Equipped With Work And Work Plus Accessory Packs

Isuzu D-Max Eiger pick-up can now optionally be specified with fully-fitted ‘Work’ or ‘Work Plus’ accessory packs, which will add wide range of features, comfort and style to the vehicle.

First, the ‘Work’ pack includes a tow bar, a payload liner, front and rear rubber mats and waterproof front seat covers. Secondly, the ‘Work Plus’ package offers super-tough, premium BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres in addition to the ‘Work’ pack.

In fact, the Isuzu D-Max Eiger specification is part of the ‘Premium’ range of Isuzu pick-ups.

The vehicle is the perfect hard-working, everyday workhorse with the refinement and versatility for weekend family adventures.

The Isuzu D-Max is offered in three body styles – single, extended and double cab – with prices starting from £14 499. The double cab Isuzu D-Max Eiger comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, upgraded audio system with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, and air conditioning as standard.

The D-Max is quipped with a re-engineered super-efficient 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. The unit generates 163 hp (120 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, while still returning combined fuel economy of 38.2 mpg.

Mitsubishi Concept GR-HEV And Concept CA-MiEV With Debut in Geneva

Mitsubishi is exploring the full electro-mobility engineering palette – Pure Electric (EV), Hybrid Electric (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric (PHEV) – hinted at through two brand new concept vehicles which will be officially revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, next to the already teased Outlander PHEV.

The first concept that is being teased is the Mitsubishi Concept GR-HEV – The Sport Utility Hybrid Truck. It is a large, tough and sporty vehicle. Here a Hybrid (HEV) technology is applied for the first time to a one-tonne pickup truck.

“Dual Design” vehicle is a creation of Mitsubishi which includes an all-new exclusive HEV solution, featuring a Clean Diesel engine and electric motors. Simpler and more affordable than either EV or PHEV, HEV is deemed best suited to the heavy-duty daily requirements of pickup truck users.

The same concept also includes full-time 4WD technology, featuring Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) integrated vehicle dynamics control system driveline to deliver high stability traction and driving performance under all road conditions. As a matter of fact, this model is developed in such way that it emits CO2 below 149 g/km.

The next teased vehicle is the Mitsubishi Concept CA-MiEV – The Suburban EV. With this concept, Mitsubishi shows its consideration towards taking pure EVs beyond a mostly urban environment with a next generation compact EV.

The CA-MiEV have high density batteries, advanced aerodynamics and will offer 300 km driving range, perfectly suited for suburban and country daily life. Further innovative real-life features include magnetic resonance wireless charging technology, smartphone activated functions.

Exclusive: McLaren P1 With New Images Form Bahrain

Just ahead of its official debut at 2013 Geneva Motor Show, McLaren P1 is being “teased” in a very special way. Some amazing new photographs of the new model were just revealed, which were taken at the Bahrain International Circuit.

As a matter of fact, these images come not only ahead of Geneva, but also ahead of P1’s Middle East debut. Yesterday, McLaren officially revealed the first images of the interior of the car, which boasts good comfort and ergonomics.

The windscreen is deeper than it is wide, so the visibility is further enhanced. This makes the car all the easier to plant on road and track.Furthermore, there are added a lot of luxury features such as full climate control, satellite navigation and a bespoke sound system, developed from the outset with Meridian.

Of course, the company is a pioneer in the utilization of carbon fibre and this material is included extensively throughout the P1. More details around the McLaren P1 are set to be disclosed at its official first world appearance in Geneva. Until then, we can enjoy the beautiful photoshoot in Bahrain.

2014 Audi S3 Sportback Revealed!

2014 Audi S3 Sportback has just been unveiled and it comes with numerous new assets and positive attributes. First of all the four-cylinder engine in the S3 Sportback has been overhauled. The displacement of 1,984 cc is the same as this one with the predecessor of the model. In fact, this is the only similarity they have n common.

The engine can generate up to 221 kW (300 hp) at 5,500 rpm and has a maximum torque of 380 Nm (280.27 lb-ft), constantly available from 1,800 to 5,500 rpm. The unit responds immediately to the driver’s wishes and boasts a sportily sound.

Despite the powerful output, the 2.0 TFSI delivers great efficiency thanks to the new technologies in includes, ranging from dual injection through the Audi valvelift system and an exhaust manifold integrated within the cylinder head to innovative thermal management.

The unit can be mated to an optional six-speed S tronic transmission. In this case, the S3 Sportback sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in only 5.0 seconds. The six-speed manual transmission needs just five-tenths of a second more. Top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h (155.34 mph).

To go further into details, the 2.0 TFSI engine needs just 6.9 liters per 100 km (34.09 US mpg) on average when paired with the S tronic. This engine requires 1.5 liters per 100 km less compared to the previous S3 Sportback.

Furthermore, this Audi model is equipped with quattro permanent all-wheel drive. It also includes a redesigned multi-plate clutch and the front axle is 52 millimeters (2.05 in) farther forward compared to the previous model. The 2.0 TFSI is more than five kilograms (11.02 lb) lighter than the previous engine and is tilted backward by 12 degrees.

A new sophisticated suspension and S sport suspension lower the body by 25 millimeters (0.98 in). Additionally, given that the axle-load distribution (59% to 41%, front to rear) and new progressive steering are present, they consequently lead to better sports handling.

Next, in order to have prominent stance on the road, the new Audi S3 Sportback runs on 7.5 J x 18 wheels. In addition, the low rolling resistance of the 225/40-series tires helps reduce fuel consumption. The calipers of the large brakes, which measure 340 millimeters (13.39 in) in diameter up front, are painted black and bear S logos.

At last, the new lightweight construction of the model also contributes enormously to the dynamic performance of the Audi S3 Sportback. This five-door car has a curb weight of 1,445 kilograms (3,185.68 lb), which is exactly 70 kilograms (154.32 lb) less than the previous model.

Alfa Romeo 4C To Debut In Geneva

Alfa Romeo 4C will make an official debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show showing-off its assets and positive qualitative. It is a mid-engined rear-wheel drive coupé with two bucket seats which means that it truly represents a sports car.

Of course, it will deliver to the lucky customers great performance in Italian style and technical excellence. Alfa Romeo 4C was initially introduced as a concept back in 2011 in Geneva

As a matter of fact, the “4C” acronym draws its inspiration from the brand’s glorious past: it refers to Alfa Romeo’s great sporting tradition: the acronyms 8C and 6C in the 1930s and 1940s distinguished cars – both racing and road – fitted with the powerful “eight cylinders” and the innovative “six cylinders”.

In the current Alfa Romeo 4C are utilized technologies and materials derived from super sports cars: carbon fibre, aluminium, rear-wheel drive, as well as updated technologies from the latest standard models from Alfa Romeo.

What’s more, an innovation introduced here is the new Alfa DNA selector which not only includes three standard settings- Dynamic, Natural and All Weather – but also a fourth one: Race, which enhances the driving experience.

Chevrolet Corvette To Include Brand New Lightweight Smart Material

Chevrolet is going to debut a brand new lightweight “Smart Material” on the Corvette model. In particular this is a heat-activated shape memory alloy which is going to replace heavier motorized parts.

Since its first appearance in 1953, the Corvette has a six-decade track record for introducing lightweight materials that improve cars performance. Now, the trend is continued, with the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray weighing in 99 pounds lighter than its predecessor.

The latter model is the first vehicle to use the “smart material” – lightweight shape memory alloy wire in place of a heavier motorized actuator to open and close the hatch vent that releases air from the trunk. This allows the trunk lid to close more easily.

But, what exactly are the shape memory alloys? They are usually made of copper-aluminum-nickel or nickel-titanium and can change their shape, strength, and/or stiffness when activated by heat, stress, a magnetic field or electrical voltage. Shape memory alloys “remember” their original shape and return to it when de-activated.

In the latest seventh generation Corvette, a shape memory alloy wire opens the hatch vent whenever the deck lid is opened. It utilizes heat from an electrical current in a similar manner to the trunk lights.

When it is activated the lever arm is moved and opens the vent, allowing the trunk lid to close. When the latter is closed, the electrical current switches off. This allows he wire to cool and return to its normal shape. Unwanted mass is also removed by shape memory alloy. This of course enhances performance and fuel economy.

Ferrari 458 Italia is one of the most emblematic cars in company’s history. It is equipped with four and a half liter V8 engine, which generates 570 horsepower (420 kW) at 9000 revs and 540 N/m (400 lb-ft) at 6000 rpm.

This particular Vorsteiner Ferrari 458 Italia coupe is fitted with 1-piece monoblock forged aluminum wheels – VS-110, in sizes 20×8.5J for the front and 20x11J for the rear. They have textured gun metal finish and especially machined for Ferrari center caps.

Rolls-Royce has just teased once again the upcoming new Rolls-Royce Wraith. The second image of company’s next model comes to promote a hand-built vehicle that exudes luxury and comfort whilst possessing a character defined by Power, Style and Drama.

For 108 years Rolls-Royce has been present on the market, delivering effortless power. The latest image of the new Wraith depicts muscular rear haunches that speak for dynamic performance and a sense that this is a car set to move with purpose on its driver’s command.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible To Debut In Geneva

Although we have already seen 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray debuting a month ago at this year’s North American International Auto Show, we haven’t seen something more from it. By “more” I mean that Chevrolet has just announced that it is going to show a convertible version of the exceptional car for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Corvette Stingray convertible will deliver the same balance of technology as its sibling and will have almost the same design. In terms of performance we are to see here again that which was introduced on the coupe in January in Detroit.

The first Stingray coupe was sold at Barrett-Jackson’s auction for over one million dollars. Its convertible twin, the first retail production model, will also be launched at the collector car auction to benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

In Geneva, Chevrolet will also show for the first time in European the Spark EV – the electric five-door mini car.
