Nissan Pulsar Nismo RS Variant Previewed

2014 Nissan Pulsar was revealed last month. The C-segment vehicle sports a design which has been inspired by this of the Qashqai, X-Trail and Note. It was basically created to redefine what cars in its design look like – inside and out. The model is packed with a range of accessible and practical technologies, offers large cabin space as well as energetic and athletic styling. Today we found information at roadmag.co.uk (link featured below) that Nissan is planning for the Pulsar to have a Nismo RS version. On the site was also published an image of the future vehicle.

As we can see from the picture, the vehicle has the typical for Nismo line design characteristics: white exterior paint finish, red accents and sportier on road presence. It has a V-shaped grille surrounding the badge, headlights angled and virtually identical to those of Qashqai, as well as LED headlights and new engines.

The entry level Pulsar hatch can be powered by the 1.2-litre DIG-T petrol unit, which generates an output of 115 hp (85 kW), or the 1.5-litre dCi that produces 110 hp (80 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. There is also an even more powerful 190 hp (140 kW) 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol unit.

If there is a Nismo version, then we definit4ely expect to see at least a boost to the latter engine, or in other words – more than 190 horsepower! Rumors are saying that we should expect an output around 200 hp. In addition, the Nismo RS will also feature a mechanical limited-slip differential on the front axle. But till then we have to wait for Nissan’s official confirmation.

Porsche 981 Boxster S By Vorsteiner

Vorsteiner Porsche Boxter S is a very beautiful car which is an example of minimalism not only in design and proportions but also in tuning approach. Vorsteiner specialists have added only different wheels and tyres to the car, but it looks better than ever. They have chosen a Textured Gunmetal finish for theirs Flow Forged V-FF 101 Wheels. This color makes the perfect contrast to car’s white dress and at the same time complements other black exterior elements.

The wheels come in the size of 20 x 8.5” at the front and 20 x 10” at the rear. They are fitted with low profile Yokohama S. Drive tyres in the dimensions of 245/35/20 and 275/35/20 for the front and rear, respectively. This sets off the Boxster‘s lines perfectly and shows how a small change can make a big difference.

The smallest car in Porsche’s range is equipped with a powerful 3.4 liter flat-six naturally aspirated engine. Thanks to it, it delivers great performance: 315 horsepower (232 kW) and 360Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is coupled with as six-speed manual gearbox that sends the power to the rear wheels. Boxter’s acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is estimated at 5.1 seconds and a top speed at 280 km/h (174 mph).

Kahn Audi Q5 2.0 TDi Quattro S-Tronic Wide Track Edition

It is rarely that the designers at A. Kahn Design work on a project that does not involve a car from the Land Rover family. The case with their new project involves, surprisingly or not, the Audi Q5 2.0 TDi Quattro S-Tronic. And of course – they did a brilliant work. What they have basically done is to enhance it with a wide track kit, thus making thus mid-sized SUV an exceptional blend of build quality and visual appeal.

Kahn’s Q5 S-Line now has new front, which includes a complete front bumper replacement and front wheel arches. At the rear, the work of the tuners included the replacement of the rear diffuser with new one, as well as the addition of rear hatch blend, rear wide wheel arches, and a quad exhaust system in stainless steel. Kahn enamel wing shields were also added for better syle.

The car is dressed in black livery and contrasted by dark privacy glass. It runs on 9.5 x 22″ Kahn RS600 wheels (both front and rear) in matt black finish that hide red-painted calipers. Inside, the bespoke interior is present: front and rear seats in quilted and perforated leather, rev counter facia in red, door entry sill plates in stainless steel and vented foot pedals in machined aluminium.

Mitsubishi Enhances 2015 Mirage

2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is getting upgrades just like its bigger brother – the Outlander. The model has been regarded as Americas most fuel efficient vehicle, delivering an EPA estimated fuel efficiency of 40 mpg combined. This is due to the three-cylinder engine, which it hides under its hood. The car is getting a wide variety of standard and available features for the new model year, including added safety, technology, exterior and interior treatments. The car will be offered as a five door and in two trim grades: DE and ES.

Mirage DE will deliver great acoustic experience to its occupants because it includes the 4 speaker 140-watt AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with USB input. In addition, they will also enjoy automatic climate control, high-gloss piano black center console trim, keyless entry with panic alarm, tilt steering, power windows with driver’s side auto-up/down, variable intermittent wipers, rear seat heater ducts, body-colored power side mirrors, door handles and tailgate handle.

Of course, the ES grade is built over the DE but adds Bluetooth, One-Touch Start/Stop engine switch, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, cruise control and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. It will ride on 14-inch aluminum alloy wheels and will also have fog lights. Optional for both grades are the LED lights, Front and Rear Park Assist Sensors, Exterior and Chrome Packages, as well as the Navigation Package.

2015 Mirage is driven by the 1.2-liter 3-cylinder DOHC engine. It includes the latest version of Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control variable valve-timing system. This system is responsible for the maximized fuel efficiency and power output as well as the reduced CO2 emissions.

Moreover, the unit generates 74 hp (54 kW) at 6000 rpm and 100 Nm (74 lb.-ft.) of torque at 4000 rpm. It can be combined with either a precise shifting 5-speed manual or a high-tech continuously-variable transmission.

In terms of safety and technology, Mirage has it all that’s needed for convenient and tranquil ride. Precisely, Mitsubishi has included a seven air bag Supplemental Restraint System, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Active Stability Control with Traction Control Logic and Hill Start Assist.

New for the 2015 model year are the brake override system and the Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) impact-absorbing safety cell technology. The first one applies simultaneously the brake and accelerator pedals, while the vehicle is moving, and at the same time makes the engine ECU override the accelerator’s input and gives priority to the brakes. The second safety technology works in event of a collision. Its structure helps dissipate kinetic energy away from the driver and passengers.

There are eight exterior paint finishes for the Mirage: Sapphire Blue, Kiwi Green, Infra Red, Plasma Purple, Cloud White, Mystic Black, Starlight Silver and Thunder Gray. 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is currently available at dealerships with a starting price of $12,995 USD for the DE grade and $14,295 USD for the ES grade.

speedART To Refine Porsche Macan [TEASER]

2015 Porsche Macan is regarded as the most sportive SUV on the market. speedART has released the first image of its upcoming project which involves exactly this vehicle. The specialists are currently working on a wide range of tuning parts and modifications for that model. The picture that they have sent us is just a preview of what we are to expect. Other tuning innovations will follow very soon. speedART didn’t reveal much but that it is going to add to the Macan a new power kit, sport exhaust system, wheels, body parts and of course – exclusive interior.

The details so far are scarce but we are almost sure that the modification on the engine will be done on the entry level Porsche Macan. It is powered by a four-cylinder 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine with 241 horsepower (177 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft). The unit is coupled with a PDK dual-clutch gearbox.

The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is now 6.9 seconds. And we are wondering what it will be after speedART’s tuning. The Macan can be recognized with its dual exhaust arrangement as opposed to the S and Turbo variants which make use of quad pipes. As mentioned we are also expecting to see some changes here.

At the moment, from the image we have received we can see huge 18” or 19” silverfish eight-douple-spoke alloys fitted with low profile tyres. Behind them are the contrasting brakes. Stay tuned for more details in the following weeks!

2015 Ford Mustang Is Official Pace Car At Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR

2015 Ford Mustang will be the official pace car for the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway (MIS), 15th of June. The participation of the car is a fitting tribute to the continuing 50-year celebration of the iconic pony car. The version making a debut as a pace car at MIS will be the 2015 Mustang GT fastback. It will lead the field to the green flag. Joe Hinrichs who is Ford Motor Company president of The Americas will be the person behind the wheel, and he will drive the Race Red fastback around the track in Brooklyn.

The GT version is equipped with 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine. This means that it is perfect for the job it is appointed for. The powertrain generates more than 420 horsepower (310 kW) and more than 529 Nm (390 lb.-ft.) of torque. Two other engines will also be available when the car hits showrooms later this year, namely – the 3.7-liter V6 and 2.3-liter EcoBoost.

The sixth generation Ford Mustang is all-new from the ground up. It is driven from its rear-wheels and has its emblematic long hood and short rear decklid proportions. Key for it is the low and wide stance, its contemporary design characteristics and state-of-the-art engineering and technology.

Among the many new features on the 2015 Mustang GT is an independent rear suspension. It was engineered specifically for the new platform on which the car is built. This means that it is bringing about some introductions to the model such as the featured new front suspension.

SGA Aerodynamics Gives Audi R8 New GT Aero-Kit

SGA Aerodynamics Audi R8 XII GT has some special aero characteristics. SGA Aerodynamics subjected the R8 sportster to a clear rejuvenation treatment and has given it an body kit and great looking rims. The package in the case of this Audi is called “XII GT Aero Kit” and was developed in order to ratch up the visual appearance of the sports car. At the front we can see multi-level, angular air inlets as well as razor-sharp spoiler blade, while at the back there is a huge rear wing. The down-force values on the front axle have also been impacted.

Furthermore, thebottom line of the new angular side skirts follows precisely the edge of the front spoiler. This ensures clean alignment. The rear end has been reinforced via air outlets on the sides and a massive rear diffuser. The huge aero-wing on the rear flap lends the silhouette a breath of the R8 some GT spirit.

2015 GMC Canyon Adds Wi-Fi Hotspot

2015 GMC Canyon was designed to be small. Yet, it still makes a strong and lasting first impression. The innovative cargo box features and a stronger foundation, as well as its striking styling, all make Canyon standout among all its siblings from the small to midsize truck segment. Now GMC is enhancing the 2015 Canyon as well as other 2015 model year vehicles with a new connectivity feature – the OnStar 4G LTE technology.

The most powerful engine option is the 2.5L Duramax Turbo-Diesel, which joins the engine lineup for the MY2015.

2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Is Getting Upgrades

2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is getting more goods. The eye-catching Sport 5-passenger compact crossover has been enhanced in terms of looks and engineering. The engine of the vehicle – the DOHC 2.0-liter-based 4-cylinder drivetrain, has been also boosted and noew produces 148 horsepower (108 kW). In addition, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has regarded Outlander as one of the safest compact crossover models. The SUV will be available in either 2WD or 4WD, as well as with a solid-shifting 5-speed manual or the sophisticated CVT transmission.

Gumpert Apollo Tattoo Car Revealed [VIDEO]

Inked Gumpert Apollo has made a successful debut on 8th of June as announced in the beginning of the month. A lot of people gathered on a sun-drenched Regent Street in London to watch the official unveiling. This is one of the world’s first tattooed cars and it will participate in the Gumball 3000 Rally. It took exactly two weeks for the tattoo artist Aleksy Marcinow to ink the supercar and make it look really amazing! For this project, Marcinow collaborated with London Motor Museum. At the official premiere of the car, he and the owner of the museum have revealed this unique Gumpert.

In fact, the Apollo is one of the fastest cars in the world. It is powered by a4.2 liter bi-turbo V8 engine constructed by Audi and can produce up to 650 horsepower (478 kW). It is also one of most powerful street-legal cars ever created and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds. It has a top speed of 205 mph.

The inspiration for vehicle’s design was taken from Japanese art and irezumi. The latter is an area he is currently exploring. He has also disclosed that he has never tattooed a car before and at first it seemed like a crazy idea. However, he enjoyed the process and found that tattooing a car had many similarities to tattooing the human body. You can watch the video below to get sure of this!

What Makes Porsche 919 Hybrid Unique

If you wonder what lies under the skin of the new Porsche 919 Hybrid, which is the most complex Porsche race car ever built, it is the V4 2.0 liter Turbo Engine. The car was designed and developed in-house by Porsche engineers and it is going to compete in the top LMP1 category of World Endurance Championship (WEC) and Le Mans. 919 Hybrid is entered in the ‘6-megajoule’ class. According to the rules, this means that the 500 hp+ petrol engine must consume just 4.78 litres fuel per lap. The complex hybrid drive system was created exactly to satisfy these regulations, due to its ability to recuperate the thermodynamic energy from exhaust gases.

Optimum energy conversion efficiency is equal to the best possible ratio between supplied and used energy. This has influence every aspect of Porsche’s hybrid, its aerodynamics as well as its weight. What makes the energy efficiency a primary factor however, is the amount of fuel available per lap. In addition, hybrid system is also a pre-requisite for the factory cars starting in the LMP1-H category.

Porsche has registered the 919 Hybrid for the 6 megajoule category, which means that the car can use exactly 1.67 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy per 13.629 km (8 mile) long lap. In other words, with the energy the LMP1 Porsche prototype recuperates during the Le Mans race you could cover 4,576 km.

The car also uses highly innovative recuperation of thermodynamic energy from exhaust gases. It uses extra turbine generator unit instead of the wastegate. The energy from the exhaust gases drives a generator that produces electrical energy. This means that the Porsche 919 Hybrid is the only car which uses the braking energy as well as the “acceleration” energy. Both systems convert kinetic and thermal energy into electrical, which is then used in the liquid cooled lithium ion battery.

The approach used for the combustion engine is also unique. The V4 turbo unit with two litre engine displacement and direct injection represents the perfect combination of low weight and compact size. In addition, it also has structural rigidity and high power output – over 500 hp. Although the driving performance is the same as last year, the permissible amount of energy is 30 per cent lower.

Arrinera Hussarya 33 To Be Launched Next Year

Arrinera Hussarya 33 is expected to be launched in late 2015. It will be the first model of Arrinera Automotive to go in production. At the beginning of October last year, in Motopark Ulez the Hussarya rolling chassis underwent extensive driving tests. In fact, the car designer Lee Noble was a main member of the supervisory board, and personally participated in tests. At this moment, Arrinera is adding the final touches on the bodywork and the interior.

Other tests of the complete super car are scgeduled for October this year. However, this time they will take place on tracks both in Poland and the UK. The 33 number in the name of the car does carry a special message. It is that this unique version of Hussarya will be delivered to only 33 customers around the globe.

The car will be powered by a V8 engine, which will have the capacity of producing 650 horsepower (478 kW) and 820Nm (605 lb-ft) of torque. The acceleration time of course is impressive. Preciselt, for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h the car needs just 3.2 seconds. The top speed is 340 km/h.

The standard version of the Hussarya has a starting price around 160 000 euro, while the Arrinera Hussarya 33 will be priced at 200 000 euro.
