It might sound crazy, but the world we live in makes every imagination a reality. Especially in the virtual reality. We have received these crazy renderings, which show four seriously unlikely hot hatches. And although you might not be into this kind of endeavor, I promise it is worth the view!The images depict four of the most famous hatches out there, done with the thought that under their hood sleeps a powerful engine. The list includes Honda Jazz Type R, Ford Ka ST, Volkswagen up! GTi and the BMW M i3

Volkswagen Up! GTi

Starting with the Volkswagen up! GTi, this is probably one of the most unthinkable projects to have a production variant. The design shown in the render was inspired by the historical Golf GTi. The designer has envisioned the up! GTi powered by the engine that drives the turbocharged VW Mk7 Golf GTi capable of 217 horsepower. A true rocket!

Honda Jazz Type R front view As a huge fan of Honda and specifically of Type R, I find this project very cute and at the same time crazy to grasp as a reality. “Small but fast” was the obvious idea behind this render. Envisioned with the legendary VTEC engine under the hood, along with a huge aero kit, this Jazz is ready to blow away any speed-addict within the blink of the eye.

Ford Ka ST

Ford Ka ST side view The Ford Ka ST is not only small, but very good looking, and in fact looks a lot like a Ford Focus ST on this image. It is probably the best picture among four, which would make the perfect production vehicle. Its advantages are that it is small in size, low in weight and filled with lots of power from its turbo engine! In other words it is everything that is worth adding the “ST” letters behind the name.

BMW M i3

BMW M i3 front view At last but not least comes the BMW M i3, which is no longer electric, but a proud hybrid. This picture shows how the hot-rodded performance variant of everybody’s favorite Teutonic battery-powered city car would look like. And since it wears the famous M badge, you can expect performance miracles. In addition, the BMW on the render is fitted with rough bodykit, sports suspension and buckets.So, which one do you like the best? And would you like to see such production variant in the future?

This is what happens when you take a Lamborghini for a mountain ride [w/video]

Jon Olsson Lamborghini Murcielago front view Lamborghini Murcielago is not the car that you would put to the extreme mountain conditions, isn’t it? Not if you are Jon Olsson. The professional free-skier has done what many might think heretical and the good news is that everything is captured in a 15-minutes long video (awesome!), which you can watch below.

Taking the heavily modified Lamborghini Murcielago on the top of a mountain wasn’t an easy task. Although Olsson is most of the time lucky in his crazy endeavors and is usually ending up “killing it”, this time the mountain refused to give the team any kind of hard snow to drive on. Eventually, they had to give up.

Despite that the professional athlete thinks that this was a “huge failure”, the video and pictures from the adventure are worth to view, so that you can decide whether it is so. The best thing is that he is actually searching for new location to try this again.

To make everything that you see in the video possible, team Overkill had to convert the Lambo in several ways. First, the all-wheel-drive supercar had to become with rear-wheel configuration. Then, Olsson added Mad Max wheels, fitted with extremely wide wheels on top of which he added spikes. At last, we should mention the heavy modification done on the 6.5-liter V12 engine (specifics aren’t available). Enjoy the video!

Wait a minute! Olsson’s brand new project Lamborghini Huracan is going to be revealed very soon. What we know so far is that it will wear more than just the military inspired foil-wrap and a roof box. Stay tuned!

6,506 potential customers get the chance to own the EcoBoost-powered Ford GT

Ford GT front view Revealed more than a year ago, the new Ford GT has caught the interest of many people around the world. The evidence is that more than 200,000 fans have visited the official virtual configurator and have built the Ford GT of their dreams. From this number of people, around 10,800 showed interest online in buying the new EcoBoost-powered carbon-infused supercar. The result is the following: Ford received 6,506 fully completed applications from people around the world in one month during the first application window.

An intriguing fact, is six days before the window closed, the number of applicants spiked which 32 per cent. Since only 500 hundred of these 6,506 “wanna-have-Ford-GT”s will be actually chosen to purchase the car, hundreds of registrants submitted videos with their applications with the hope to increase their chances.

Some of the creative videos feature children, lighting effects, racing footage, revving engines, garage tours and life stories. And all of them made with a single purpose – to explain why they should own the new Ford GT.

What happens now? Ford is actually reviewing the applications and will start notifying potential owners in the next 90 days. After the car is finally purchased, it is expected to start arriving in customers’ garages by the end of this year.

Ford GT is a lightweight carbon-fiber supercar powered by the most potent EcoBoost production engine ever. The twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 generates more than 600 horsepower and features a wide powerband with impressive time-to-torque characteristics and remarkable efficiency. The EcoBoost V6 will be coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle.

The new GT supercar has rear-wheel drive and a sleek, aerodynamic, two-door coupe body shell made of carbon fiber and aluminum. In addition, the aerodynamic efficiency is one of the key characteristics of the vehicle. All of this is backed up by the 20-inch multispoke wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup tires and carbon-ceramic brake discs.

Volkswagen & Beats Electronics proudly present Polo Beats with 300-watt sound capability

Lotus commemorates 50 years since Hethel opening with Evora 400 Hethel Edition

Lotus Evora 400 Hethel Edition front view To mark the 50 years since the foundation of the famous factory in Hethel, Lotus is releasing a limited Hethel Edition model based on the Evora 400. The car will be offered within three exclusive exterior colors and three trim options, respectively. Precisely, the colors to choose from are Essex Blue, Motorsport Black, and Racing Green. When it comes to the interior, one can opt for either black or red leather or Alcantara interior trim, which is in dependency of the bodywork color.

Furthermore, every Hethel Edition 400 comes with lightweight silver forged aluminium wheels, behind which are positioned contrasting brake callipers. Car’s look is rounded out by bespoke graphics. A commemorative build plate will show the significance of the car.

In terms of performance, this limited edition car combines the strength of the high performance Lotus and its unique chassis. At just 1,395kg, the model is an example of efficient engineering. As a matter of fact, the weight is an achievement of Lotus’ Lightweight Laboratory concept.

Being 42 kg lighter than its predecessor, the limited edition Evora 400 accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds) and delivers a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). Of course, here helps the supercharged and charge-cooled, mid-mounted, 3.5-litre V6 engine, which generates 400 hp (294 kW) and 410 Nm (303 lb-ft) of torque.

Just like its siblings, the car has been hand-built; passenger space was improved, thus providing more legroom and wider rear seats. In addition, the added changes to the Evora 400 have increased the size of the door aperture, making it easier to enter the car.

New High Desert package makes Chevrolet Silverado more capable and attractive

Chevrolet Silverado High Desert package has been specifically introduced for those who are looking for more from the Silverado. It is available on LT, LTZ, and High Country trim levels and will arrive in dealers this fall. Actually, the model is based on a concept variant, which was on display at 2014 SEMA Show. Yes, this means that it brings unique content and great capability.

In short, the High Desert pack adds improved exterior styling, new lockable cargo system and Magnetic Ride Control suspension for the High Country grade. To go in details, interesting here is the new flexible and lockable storage system in the cargo bed, which locks the cargo away safely.

The system is mounted over the roll-formed steel bed and adds dual side storage bins and a three-piece hard tonneau cover. For all Silverado models, the tailgate locks with the keyfob. This allows users to secure their cargo with the push of a button.

Farewell: Toyota to end production of FJ Cruiser in August

Toyota FJ Heritage Unfortunately it is true that Toyota FJ Cruiser is going to end its production in August this year. So, this literally means that there will be one last chance for those wishing to buy this amazing vehicle. The retro-inspired off-roader was actually released in Australia five years ago. Since then from the model have been sold in more than 11,000 units. The real inspiration behind the FJ Cruiser is the famed FJ40: a basic, capable and affordable vehicle, which finds its perfect place off-road.

In other words, the Cruiser is aimed at serious off-roaders looking to push the limits. Well, it is also a contemporary variant of the classic FJ40. For instance there is a front grille with two round headlights, which recalls the FJ40’s frontal styling; the bonnet and wheel-arch contours and a rear-mounted and exposed full-size spare tyre also mimic the predecessor.

Vorsteiner Lamborghini Huracan Novara is the new trend that you need to see

Vorsteiner Lamborghini Huracan Novara front view Vorsteiner is a tuning company which excites us with its every project. This time, they have worked with the famous Lamborghini Huracan, thus making it more special and well dressed. The changes are simple and do not include any intrusions to the engine unit.

Before jumping into the details, since the Lambo did not receive any engine treatment, it has kept its stock number. Namely, the production 5.2 liter V10 unit generates 610 hp (448 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque and is linked to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission that drives the four wheels. This allows the Huracan to cover the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint in 3.2 seconds, and the 0-200 km/h in 9.9 seconds, running after a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).

The here presented variant of the model is painted in Rosso Mars and sits on in-house made 20- and 21-inch V-FF 105 flow forged wheels. Pirelli P Zero tires are also necessary to complement the new alloys and they come in the dimensions of 245/30/20 up front and 325/25/21 at the rear.

Latest Abarth 595 impresses with abundant equipment and vastness of power

Abarth 595 front view The new line-up of Abarth 595 models is already here, two months after the release of the special 124 Spider. The car keeps the same cute appearance, steps over it and adds more with exclusive features, more powerful engines and vastness of product innovations. The 595 is compact, agile, and lightweight, and offers unique driving experience.

For the new model year it will be available as a hatchback and a convertible, within three trim level: 595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione; as well as three power levels. Important to be mentioned is that the innovations included in the new model have been empirically affirmed with their utilization in the 695 Biposto.

Even with the entry level model, the affordable 595 version, the customers will get all standard equipment needed to ensure fantastic driving experience. On the other hand, the Abarth 595 Competizione and 595 Turismo versions express other two distinctive souls: the first is more “purist” and performance-built; while the second makes reference to the typical values of the Italian GTs in a compact size.

Drivetrain

The increased power of the 1.4 T-jet engine that drives the 595 and 595 Turismo versions now measures 145 HP (107 kW) and 206 Nm (152 lb-ft) of maximum torque. The second, featuring a Garrett turbine, reaches 165 HP (121 kW) and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft). The most powerful 595 Competizione with its 180 HP is accelerates from 0-100 in 6.7 seconds and then uses braking safely with the Brembo braking system with four-piston fixed aluminium callipers. The drivetrain comes as a standard with manual five-speed gearbox. The option is the Abarth robotised sequential gearbox with shift paddles.

Exterior Updates

One of the coolest updates is that the 595 Competizione could be ordered with mechanical limited-slip differential (Abarth D.A.M.), which improves traction in extreme conditions. What is more, the Abarth D.A.M. is contained as a standard within the new Performance Pack. It is only optional for the Abarth 595 Competizione with manual gearbox and comprises of 17″ Supersport rims and Sabelt leather/Alcantara seats with carbon shell, carved aluminium 595 badge and the red, white or glossy black customisation pack.

Next come the Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock absorbers for 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione, the new front end with oversized air intake, the more pronounced rear diffuser and new specific inserts. Polyelliptical headlight clusters and LED daylights are standard on all versions, while the xenon headlights available on request.

Abarth is also offering the new lightweight 17-inch Granturismo alloy wheels, next to the extended exterior color palette, which now includes Modena Yellow, Abarth Red, three-layer Iridato White and the Scorpione Black/Podio Blue, Scorpione Black/Record Grey and Pista Grey/Abarth Red bi-tone paint schemes.

Interior Updates

In terms of the interior updates, the Abarth 595 models benefit from extensive Alcantara and carbon fibre utilization as a standard. The optional variant is the Corsa by Sabelt leather and Alcantara®seats with carbon shell. In addition, the new sporty flat-bottom steering wheel now features viewfinder. There is also unique racing-derived instrument panel.

For the first time, Abarth is debuting the Uconnect system. It includes two 5” and 7″ HD screens, navigator and DAB digital radio as well as the powerful 480 W BeatsAudioTM Hi-Fi system with seven speakers.

The latest variants of Abarth 595 will have market launch in June.
