Maserati reveals “Edizione Ribelle” limited run of vehicles

2020 Maserati Edizione Ribelle Maserati begins production on 225 limited series “Edizione Ribelle” vehicles that will arrive in North American showrooms at the end of March 2020. It is a limited run of vehicles and includes 100 Ghibli S Q4, 100 Levante S, and 25 Quattroporte S Q4, in the GranSport trim.

The new sporty black exterior will feature Nero Ribelle Mica Paint and Nerissimo Package, which are the most apparent upgrades. The Nerissimo Package includes Black Chrome finish on the grille upper bezel trim, rear trunk accent, side air vents, Maserati badges on the c-pillars and the Maserati logo. Also covered in black are the window surrounds, exhaust tips, vertical grille bars and the 20-inch Dark Wheels with contrasting red brake calipers.

In terms of interior, the exclusive lineup comes with leather Sport Seats in contrasting two-tone leather of Nero and Rosso (Black and Red) with contrasting stitching. For added comfort the vehicles include heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. The series also feature exclusive exterior badging and a unique number for each single machine.

Audi reveals its first hybrid Q5 model. Check it out!

2020 Audi Q5 Audi of America introduces its first plug-in hybrid model of the best-selling Q5 lineup. The new addition comes with a cutting-edge electric motor and is mated to a traditional TFSI gasoline engine. Also, the combination of standard quattro AWD contributes to the overall excellent performance statistics. New Audi Q5 TFSI will be joined by A8 TFSI and A7 TFSI models in the upcoming months.

Drivetrain system

New Q5 TFSI comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder TFSI engine, mated to an electric motor that sits between the engine and the 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox, producing a total combined output of 362hp and 369lb-ft of torque. The plug-in hybrid SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in a mere 5 seconds and comes equipped with quattro AWD drive and Ultra technology.

Offered as standard equipment on Audi TFSI models, drivers have the option to adjust engine and battery usage with three capable models specific to the plug-in system. The Hybrid mode is activated automatically using route guidance in the MMI navigation system in order to optimize battery power over the route to help reduce fuel consumption. Furthermore, the SUV automatically starts in EV mode, where the vehicle is driven only using the battery as long as the driver doesn’t press the accelerator pedal past a precise pressure point.

In electric-only mode, using a 14.1kWh lithium-ion battery, new Audi Q5 TFSI has a range of 20 miles range. The battery pack itself is made of 104 prismatic cells and stores 14.1 kWh of energy with a voltage of 381v. The climate control system uses a highly efficient heat pump, which pools the waste heat from the high-voltage components and ensures that 1kW of electrical energy can generate up to 3kW thermal heating output for a more efficient climate system setup, compared to predecessor models.

BMW’s new B58 TwinPower Turbo Inline engine receives a special award

2020 BMW M340i xDrive Sedan BMW is named one of WardsAuto’s 2020 10 Best Engines and Powertrains Award winners for its 382hp B58 TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter Inline six-cylinder crafted and fine-tuned by BMW M department. This engine included in 2020 BMW M340i Sedan, Z4 M40i Roadster and X3 M40i and X4 M40i SUV. The latest iteration of brand’s iconic six-cylinder engine is capable of producing 382hp and 369lb-ft of torque and is capable to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds.

Audi reveals details about new 2020 A8 TFSI e lineup

2020-Audi-A8-TSFI-e-910 Joining the flagship sedan model line, new A8 TFSI e serves as the brand’s first plug-in hybrid variant of the prominent A8 model. Blending the comfort and convenience of the entire lineup, the plug-in hybrid retains innovative technologies and sophisticated design.

Efficiency and comfort

By blending premium design, along with comfort and efficiency, A8 TFSI comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 power unit, paired with an electric motor integrated into the torque converter of the eight-speed automatic gearbox. By doing so, engineers have managed to achieve a neat balance between power output and efficiency. Also, with an estimated combined output of 443hp and 516lb-ft of torque, A8 TFSI e is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 km/h in a mere 4.9 seconds. Neat!

In terms of exterior, new Audi A8 TFSI e differentiates from its siblings by showcasing a new light signature in the front bumper and new 19-inch wheels. The plug-in hybrid also receives an MMI display with electric-specific driving screens that include charging information, additional consumption statistics and other information for the hybrid engine. Also, Audi Virtual Cockpit is also updated in order to display battery data and range stats. Similar to the Audi e-tron lineup, new A8 TFSI features a standard boost function that maximizes power output for even better performance stats.

Aiding the powerful TFSI power unit and the electric motor is a lithium-ion battery pack, made up of 104 pouch cells combined in eight modules that can store 14.1 kWh of energy at a voltage of 385V. Furthermore, the battery, which sits beneath the luggage compartment, works in tandem with the combustion engine as a hybrid system – by using the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, the driver can select from different plug-in specs that include hybrid mode, purely electric and hold mode. Whenever the driver selects EV driving mode, an audible sound is emitted in order to ensure pedestrians are aware of the vehicle’s presence.

Two restored Shelby legends debut together along with a 2020 GT500

2020 Mustang Shelby Little Red and Green Hornet Once lost, now found and restored to the previous glory, a pair of historic Shelby Mustangs – “Green Hornet” and “Little Red” – are being revealed for the first time, joined by the new Shelby GT500 Mustang at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction.

The restored 1968 Shelby GT500 prototype is known as the Green Hornet has undergone a comprehensive procedure, led by Jason Billups of Billups Classic Car in Colcord, Oklahoma. During the process, Jackson floated the idea of finding the Little Red, which had also been lost. And after an extensive search led by Billups, the vehicle was discovered in a rural field in north Texas.

Finally, with both machines restored to their original condition, Jackson set out to celebrate their significance by adding a one-of-one Candy Apple Green and Rapid Red 2020 Shelby GT500 to his collection. Both restored vehicles feature four-wheel disc brakes and electronic fuel injection. In fact, the Green Hornet was the first model to roll off the line at Flat Rock Assembly Plant last fall. The vehicle was sold to Jackson for $1.1 million at auction in order to raise funds for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Audi reveals new 2020 A4 models. Check them out!

2020 Audi A4 New A4 model lineup is already here and expected, it will deliver outstanding features, refined drivetrain system and tons of cutting edge technologies. By introducing A4 sedan, A4 allroad, and S4, the sportier version, Audi surely showcases determination to maintaining its positions as a leader in the premium segment.

Exterior design

The midsize model is definitely more dynamic and sophisticated when compared to older models due to the fact that it now features a completely new design concept. The front of the vehicle reveals a new shoulder line that starts at the corner of the headlight and runs through the edge of the hood. At the side, there are pronounced wheel arches whose design pays homage to the brand’s quattro DNA and the lower set of the shoulder line, which visually lowers the center of gravity.

All A4 quattro models feature a standard S line exterior, which includes titanium black honeycomb in the Singleframe grille, aluminum silver matte inserts and neat 18-inch 5-double-spoke design wheels.

For A4 allroad, the design team has ensured gray matte body cladding that helps to highlight the vehicle’s adventurous spirit. The allroad also features a unique Q-design Singleframe grille with vertical chrome slats that emphasize vehicle’s increased ground clearance and ride height.

Interior design

2020 Audi A4

The cabin of all-new A4 models includes great attention to details and numerous new technologies. The entire design concept is focused on the MMI touch display, which features a new MIB 3 infotainment system.

With new packages and greater value for customers, Audi Connect services is present for all models in the lineup. The system is offered with available Version Unlimited data connection powered by Verizon’s 4G LTE network that delivers fast and secure internet access.

Additional features include a standard three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles, standard power sunroof, standard rear child locks and standard heated eight-way power driver seat with a four-way power lumbar for the driver on A4 FWD models. There’s also a standard three-zone climate control and standard ambient LED interior lights.

Drivetrain system

A4 quattro sedan comes with an agile 2.0-liter TFSI power unit that generates a total of 248hp and 273lb-ft of torque and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in mere 5.6 seconds. For the A4 allroad this time is 5.9 seconds.

The 3.0-liter TFSI power unit in the S4 delivers the whooping 349hp and 369lb-ft of torque and finishes the 0-100km/h sprint in a mere 4.4 seconds. This engine is mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, which is further fine-tuned in order to fit the low-end torque of the V6. What is special about this setup is that the lower gears offer short and sporty ratios, while the longer upper gears help reduce the engine revs. Furthermore, every Audi S4 is equipped with quattro all-wheel drive, offering high precision and dynamic handling through active torque distribution to both axles.

In terms of suspension, all A4 models come with a five-link steel suspension that provides a comfortable and yet agile ride for long distances. There’s also an available sporty suspension that lowers the ride with an additional 23mm.

The A4 allroad’s standard adaptive damping suspension ensures an increased ground clearance of 34mm over the A4 sedan, achieved through a taller suspension and higher profile tires, making the allroad more capable choice for some off-road action.

What is special about S4 is that drivers can choose an available S sport package, which adds a sporty damping suspension, red brake calipers and a sport rear differential that enhances cornering agility by actively splitting torque between each of the rear wheels.

2019 Kia Telluride remains brand’s most awarded vehicle

2019 Kia Telluride Kia Telluride remains brand’s most awarded vehicle in the past year. It is also the first SUV to win the “Triple Crown” of the auto industry’s most prestigious accolades: 2020 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year from North American Car of the Year, MotorTrend SUV of the Year and Car and Driver 10 Best.

The 2019 Telluride model has also won numerous “Best of” honors and has managed to receive top honors from prestigious online, print and video outlets.

And now the vehicle takes home one more prestigious award – NACTOY jurors have voted Telluride number one based on months of test drives, comparisons and other evaluations. Criteria for MotorTrend’s premier award are safety, efficiency, value, design and engineering refinement.

In addition to being Kia’s model with the most awards and recognitions in its first year on the market, Telluride is also one of KMA’s best-selling vehicles. Vilner Bulgaria showcases its latest project. Check it out!

2020-Vilner-Porsche-911-Carrera-Cabriolet-910 Although being roughly 20 years old, the automobile has retained its potential for revisions and upgrade tweaks. And this is indeed what Atanas Vilner and his fellow team of engineers and designers have done to the lucky Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet.

The revised vehicle features an entirely new upholstery with fine brown leather and white and blue contrast stitching. What catches the eye is the upper part of the interior: there’s an X-shaped piece with leather inserts, just as with a baseball glove. The face of the apron is covered in blue, while the bottom part features wooden inserts. The steering wheel has also received some special attention: it is covered with leather and wooden pieces.

As Mr. Vilner states, contrast doesn’t mean only blending different types of colors. It also comprises a strategic placement of different types of surfaces, he continues. In fact, as it seems, the entire idea of the project is to create numerous layers of a design concept that are gradually unfolded and relished upon.

Atanas Vilner drives attention towards doors’ cover – the new design is both appealing and functional. There are large wooden applications and leather covers that contribute to more comfortable elbow placement. There are large wooden inserts at the central console, in the knee area of both the driver and passengers.

Additionally, all stock grey-covered plastic pieces in the interior are now painted in new and exclusive “Vilner Copper Rose” – a special paint, especially created by Vilner team and based on the R-M The Code BASF program, first used for the Datsun 280Z project. The interior also features newly painted controls of the electric seats. “Vilner Copper Rose” also covers the new sporty seatbelts, speaker grilles, the button of the selector of the gearbox and the details at its base.

There are fine details that add to the complete aesthetic figure to the project – there’s a set of Vilner badges, new floor mats with leather inserts and of course, a metal plate with the name of the project and the name of the owner etched at it.
