A3 Popularity All Thanks To Performance

The 2017 Audi A3 is as popular as ever and it’s only been around for about three years. Even though it’s a youngster it’s been a top choice for those wanting a luxury compact sedan or convertible. The Audi A3 is a compact that gives you comfort and great gas mileage along with the Audi assurance that the highest quality workmanship and engineering has been infused into this little car with the big name.

The A3 is a performer. That simply means that its handling and acceleration is smooth, precise and responsive. It also means that it is carrying on the proud tradition of Audi’s incredible German design and reputation for building things the right way the first time. This great little car out shines all of its competitors in performance, comfort and safety. The Audi A3 can hit 60 miles an hour in only 5.8 seconds with its 2.0-liter engine. The EPA rated the A3 with front wheel drive at 29 miles per gallon; the all-wheel drive model at 27 mpg. While the convertible with front-wheel drive gets 28 mpg combined city and highway and the all-wheel drive convertible gets 25 mpg combined.

Just like the whole family of Audi vehicles, the A3 is all about safety. Government tests awarded the A3 its highest five star rating for overall safety and five stars for total side impact protection. The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) gave the 2017 Audi A3 sedan its highest award for moderate overlap front impact, small overlap front impact, side impact and roof strength crash test results. The IIHS also gave its highest rating of “Good” to the A3 for seat and head restraint design and for whiplash protection in rear impacts.

Toyota Land Cruiser Continues On With A Great Legacy

The legendary Toyota Land Cruiser is still one of the top choices in off-road vehicles in the country. It is an impressive blend of four-wheel outdoor rough and ready with the elegance of a well mannered and quite civilized city dweller. It’s been around for over 60 years and is one of the most respected names in off-roading.

The Land Cruiser is an SUV that offers a number of standard amenities that let you know that even though you might be behind the wheel fording a creek or rolling up a rock infested incline, you are still in touch with civilization. The Land Cruiser comes with LED running lights and fog lights, a roof rack, rocker-sill passenger steps, underbody skid plates, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and ignition, automatic wipers, a sunroof, power-folding and auto-dimming outside mirrors, 18-inch cast aluminum wheels, a tow hitch with wiring harness and it seats eight passengers.

Who knew that this SUV had all this stuff? We didn’t and then we were surprised again when we found out there was even more standard equipment aboard. There is a 9-inch info touchscreen, Bluetooth phone, a rear seat DVD entertainment system with two screens, two wireless headphones, a wireless charging pad, a surround-view camera system that lets you select front, rear or side views of the vehicle’s exterior, Siri eyes free control, satellite and HD radio, 14 speaker JBL audio system and a USB – iPhone input.

The V8, 5.7-liter engine pumps out 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. The eight-speed auto transmission powers all four wheels and the two-speed transfer case gives you control of the drivetrain to either crawl on a slippery road at a safe pace or ride the highway at top speed. The Land Cruiser can tow up to 8,100 pounds and gets 15 miles per gallon combined city and highway driving. You’re in good hands with Land cruiser’s safety features: trailer-sway control, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, forward collision alert, blind spot monitoring and airbags galore including second row airbags, front knee airbags, active front head restraints, front side airbags and front and rear parking sensors. Almost as a Batmobile: check Inden Design’s Mercedes-AMG interpretation!

2017 Inden Design Mercedes-AMG SLS - Front Angle We haven’t published much about Inden Design. So, in order to fix our mistake, we will tell you about team’s latest tuning project. Тhis is a pretty special one – not only it showcases numerous unique features, but also fulfills the dream of Joe Inden himself – the mastermind behind Inden Design.

And here it is: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG machine that now proudly takes its place among its sibling in the Black Series. As one might have expected, the vehicle has undergone some comprehensive tuning and upgrade program. First of all, the whole body was dismantled. This means that numerous Mercedes-AMG original parts were taken down, reshaped, coated and reassembled. These include the front and rear apron, hood, and fenders.

Furthermore, some of the side components were further tailored to match the overall bodywork concept and of course, to contribute to the sporty spirit of the vehicle. Overall, the design of this machine resembles all these well-known and beloved Mercedes-AMG features: neat curves, elegant lines, expressive front face, tight and sporty rear and overall confident and masculine stance. The magic of Inden Design work is hidden in the small details. All of these components add to the original appearance of the vehicle and do not try to change the nature of the vehicle. Definitely a precise and dedicated work, isn’t it?

But even these modifications were not that refined to satisfy the taste of Mr. Inden himself. And this is why he ordered some more goodies to be installed: laminated drivetrain parts, exclusive KW suspension coil springs and stainless steel exhaust. And the best of all? Kickass wheels. These are exclusive BBS-F1 with special dimensions: 10,0Jx20 with 265/30R20 on the front axle and 12,5Jx21 with 325/25R21 on the rear axle. Cool!

The only thing I personally do not like about the styling concept is the one-tone black body finish. Designers could have used some lighter patterns in order to make these sexy details stand out. However, Sexy is still sexy. Even in black coating.

And the best news is that there are even more upgrades done onto the drivetrain system. More precisely, on the power unit: the refined Mercedes-AMG now produces a total of 635hp (467kW). A neat upgrade from the original 571hp (420kW). Sweet.

From Hot Rods to Blown S197s, Justin Dugan Is AmericanMuscle’s Resident Gearhead [w/VIDEO]

Off The Heels Of Completing His 2014 Mustang Build, Justin Dugan Opens Up About His Passion For Cars

MALVERN, Pa. (June 30, 2017) – AmericanMuscle video host Justin Dugan recently completed his build on his 2014 Mustang GT with a 4^th stage of mods. Adding a Roush TVS 2300 Blower, long tube headers, a Forgestar drag wheel setup, a mix of suspension and brake goodies, Justin’s 2014 GT is putting down 643 RWHP and 564 RWTQ, making it a lean, mean tire-shredding machine. But there is much more to Justin than his famous Mustang build; many people don’t know how big of a car enthusiast Justin is.

Justin grew up a gearhead, fawning over everything ‘60s and ‘70s muscle cars to air-cooled VWs and the iconic Lamborghini Countach. When it came time to get his license, Justin had his eyes on a 4-eyed Foxbody a neighbor was selling, but some parental intervention persuaded him to go with a 1970’s air-cooled VW Bus instead of a worked 308 Fox on drag wheels—probably a wise decision for a 16-year-old.

In between owning the Bus and a few other old school cruisers, Justin eventually found himself with a 1927 all ‘Henry Ford’ steel roadster body on Model A rails. Justin spoke of the powerplant saying, “It’s powered by a 292 Y-block which is an often time forgotten about engine but it really is an important powerplant in the Ford lineage- it essentially bridged the gap between the flathead and the Windsor engines. The Y-block doesn’t make a ton of power but it has an awesome sound to it, especially with the open headers I had on the car at the time.”

However, Justin’s ’27 hot rod is just one of his three current rides, and albeit for better or for worse, has taken a backseat to his other projects. After dialing things up to the max with his 2014 GT (Justin’s favorite car he’s owned to date), his focus is now set on his 2017 Raptor. Justin is still enjoying the Raptor in stock form saying, “It’s honestly more truck than most people need, including myself- but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to enjoy it. In fact, we have some big plans for the truck, so be sure to keep an eye out for that. It’s hard to improve something that is already badass but we have a few things in mind.”

Vilner Team Challenges the Maybach Styling: Did They Make it Better?

2017 Vilner Mercedes-AMG G-55 And here we are reviewing one more impeccable styling concept. And an aggressive one too. In its core it is a brutal Mercedes-Benz G 55 AMG. In fact, this one has undergone previous tuning programs, but as it seems, the owner is still not satisfied. And here’s where Vilner shines!

The task? Pretty straightforward: the team of specialists was asked to reshape and upgrade the interior and make it better than the interior of the latest G 650 Maybach Landaulet. Ambitious, isn’t it? So, let’s find out what the final result looks like!

The revised cabin is dominated by fine leather in Soft Cocoa Brown-Orange color and contrasts with the especially chosen black and brown-orange stitching. What catches the eye the most is the square-shape seat styling. This idea has its own story: the owner of the G-Class is an avid player of chess and wanted to honor the game in a certain way. Most satisfactory, if you ask us!

The rest of the cabin components follow the same styling language: the steering wheel is covered in this very same brown-orange leather, while the dashboard is covered by black leather. This color scheme not only resembles the color pattern of the seats, but also excludes unwanted reflections on the front window. And there was also one more thing added that heavily contributes to luxury: a noise reduction layer. Having a quiet cabin is almost orgasmic for some people out there. And we do believe that this noise reduction is vital for the comfortable feeling of passengers.

The roof is covered in black Alcantara and the luggage space benefits from numerous black additions. The decision for this black coloring is no coincidence: it makes a fine contrast with the brown-orange coverings and does not add to this window reflection, just as the seat coverage.

Also, there is one more addition that caught our eye: the seatbelts. As it seems, these are sports-focused and give off this scent of adrenaline and aggression. Pretty controversial to the overall cabin styling, but at the same time these do resemble the brutal nature of the G-Class. And yes, we do like them!

A Pace Car by Kahn Design? Yes, Please!

2017 Kahn Design Land Rover Range Rover 4.4 SDV8 Vogue SE Pace Car And here we go again: Kahn Design team showcases one more gem: Range Rover 4.4 SDV8 Vogue SE Pace Car. The upgrade process was personally guided by Afzal Kahn himself and we must say that the final result is pretty astonishing! This vehicle is beautiful, elegant and is clearly a honorable member of the Kahn Design family.

What makes this project stand out from the crowd is the addition of a special Rolls Royce Black Kirsch over Madeira Red color. Furthermore, there are numerous carbon-fiber inserts that contribute to the overall muscular and sporty stance. In fact, we do like the bumpers: they are still incorporating the original fog lights, but Kahn Design team has tweaked them a bit and now they feature 3D mesh inserts and do look a bit wider, compared with the originals. There is also a new front grille with floating insert, extended boot lid spoiler and super cool wheels.

In fact, the exterior concept is heavily dependent on the wheels alone: these are super-stylish Diamond Cut on Shadow Chrome 10×23-inch forged RS650 wheels, wrapped by 305x30x230-inch tires. And they do make a huge difference. First of all, they look premium and of course, express neat hi-class styling the perfectly matches the overall premium expression of the Range Rover vehicle.

As any other Kahn Design product, the Vogue SE Pace Car showcases a rather sophisticated and elegant cabin design. First of all, the door tops, door arm rests, central console, the instrumental binnacle and the steering wheel are covered in special upholstery with fresh color scheme. There are also stainless steel door sill plates, aluminum foot pedals and fresh new floor mats. Nice!

What we like the most about this project is that the design team did not try to change the authentic nature of the Range Rover. Just the opposite: Afzal Kahn and his fellow professionals have enhanced the beautiful character of the machine. And as always, they have made it in such a way that we doubt that there would be a single person who would not appreciate the fine styling language.

Meet the “John Lennon Phantom V” and see why it is still famous today!

1965 Rolls-Royce The John Lennon Phantom V As it comes to parties, Rolls-Royce team knows how it’s done! Recently the luxury brand announced that there will be great celebration in honor of the 50^th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Brand. So far so good. However, the most interesting thing is that a special vehicle will take place: John Lennon’s own Rolls-Royce Phantom V. As you might know, this machine is famous for two things: the first one is self-explanatory: it was the personal vehicle of a living legend. Secondly, this car has undergone a rather colorful transformation. The expression of this car really screams something like “Bring back the 70’s!” or “Hippies are great!”

At this moment the vehicle is owned by the Royal British Columbia Museum in Canada and is part of “The Great Eight Phantoms” – this is a special exhibition that takes place at the Bonhams on New Bond Street – the place that Lennon visited regularly in the 1960’s.

3^rd of June, 1965 is a special one: it is the day that Edward H White left the capsule of his Gemini 4 and became the first American in space and the day than John Lennon received his own Phantom V in Valentine Black. A rather stylish and expressive vehicle. However, as an eccentric person, Mr. Lennon wanted a bit more, as it came to styling.

As a symbol of these expressive 60’s and 70’s rock vibes, he has heavily customized the vehicle. First of all, he reshaped the rear seat into a double bed, placed a TV, telephone and refrigerator and a special “floating” record player and of course, as you might have expected from a rock star – a mighty audio system. Cool, right?

However, something was missing: an expressive exterior body finish! A few years after the purchase, in April 1967, Lennon covered up this mistake. He asked for a new paint job. And god, he got one! The styling team has done something astonishing: the revised Phantom V showcased a true psychedelic rock appearance: it shines with numerous colors, but one is dominant: the yellow. We do like these flowers here and there and the overall Romany scroll theme. And of course, the zodiac symbols on the roof remain our favorite feature.

Of course, Lennon has used this vehicle. A lot. He even gave shared it with his fellow rock mates from The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and The Moody Blues. And as every good thing on this world, he finally got tired of this relationship and called it a day in 1977.

This is what we call a stylish vehicle with rocker’s soul. Definitely expressive and definitely an unique unit, this Phantom can be seen one more time on New Bond Street from July 29 to August, 2^nd. Enjoy! And don’t forget to share some pictures with us!

The engineering team has redesigned the exterior as well as the interior in such a way that the Wrangler still showcases the mighty Jeep nature, but also some cooler and more expressive features. And here it is: Firechacker Red Jeep Wrangler Sahara 3.6 Petrol Black Hawk Wide Track Edition. So, let’s check out this bad boy in details!

Red. This is the code word. And massiveness. We do like this vivid finish. And we do like these super-large wheels that accompany the exclusive color. Available in three- and five-door body shapes, the vehicle features revised signature front and rear large wings, new vent and bolt apertures and sweet Tron Ring lightning: there are special LED diamond bright headlights installed. Sweet.

Let’s go back to the wheels: Firecracker comes with 7.5×17-inch 1941DC wheels that are especially covered in satin black wrapped by Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx 285x70x17-inch all Terrain tires. There are also calipers finished in gold. We like ‘em!

Further details include a Piano black roof, privacy glass, exclusive Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover and numerous stylish black-covered details.

BlackBox team showcases a Porsche 911 that glows in the dark! How cool is that?

2017 BlackBox-Ritcher Porsche 911 GT3 RS We have already seen some neat vinyl wrapping for automobiles. In fact, vinyl wrapping is almost a commonplace now. However, there are designers who do it relatively good and these who do it masterfully. For example, Blackbox-Richter team, located in the Austrian Schardenberg, present us something quite special: the multiple vinyl wrap. This special technique is used on three lucky vehicles: two 991 GT3 RS machines and one Audi R8 V10

We will be reviewing one of the two Porsche vehicles. This one was renamed “Light Tron 911” and features black matte details with numerous neon-yellow-green phosphor splashes as a part of the second layer, and a third one that adds these neat black matte and glossy overlays. Sounds too-much? In fact, we thought exactly the same. And then we have witnessed the final result and we must say that it looks quite impressive! The overall color scheme and styling looks clean, balanced and contributes to the sporty nature of the vehicle in quite a stylish way.

And the best part of all? It glows in the dark! Ha, my child dream is finally fulfilled! The vehicle gives off this green light and looks even spooky in a way. Just imagine how this 911 drives through you and the one and only thing you see is the dimmed green light. Neat!

Unfortunately, there aren’t many more upgrades and changes. The one most notable (after the body finish) is the new exhaust system. Sweet. And most unfortunately far from enough. However, the Audi R8 features a front and rear spoiler, new flaps on the front bumper and numerous carbon-fiber components. We do like these. Definitely we do.
