There can always be more: G-POWER makes the AMG GT S machine even more agile!

2017 G-POWER Mercedes-AMG GT S G-POWER team strikes again. In fact, the brand has been astonishing the motorsport world since 1971. Believe it or not, but this was year that G-POWER team showcased how a BMW machine can be modified in order to deliver incredible performance rates. 35 years later things haven’t changed that much – there are still numerous lucky Bavarian vehicles with G-POWER upgrades, along with some neat Mercedes-AMG tunings that impress even the sceptics. However, the latest G-POWER tuning project appears to be a special one. This time the chosen vehicle is an AMG GT S (C190) sports car. So, let’s take a closer look at it, shall we?

First of all, the C190 received a special G-POWER Bi-Tronik 5 power module. This little gadget boosts the overall power output to a maximum of 610hp at 6,500rpm and ensures 755Nm of torque between 4,000 and 5,500rpm. Or, in other words, the Bi-Tronik 5 ensures that the AMG GT S sprints from 0 to 100km/h in mere 3.5 seconds. Cool, right?

But how does it do it? Honestly, it is some kind of rocket science. However, here’s the overall process: the gadget is connected to the factory ECU and proceeds the data from vehicle’s censors and sends it to the AMG power control unit. By doing so, the whole engine system guarantees that G-POWER’s module works in perfect harmony with the original drivetrain hardware.

And in order to honour the massive drivetrain upgrade, G-POWER team also adds a neat exterior styling change: sweet HURRICANE RR ultra-light forged alloys. The tire/wheel combination is 9.0×20-inch with 275/30R20 tyres in front, and 10.5×21-inch wheels with 305/25R21 tyres at the rear axle. Furthermore, the wheels come in four finish choices: Jet Black, Gun Metal Grey, Stardust Silver and Diamond-cut finish. Sweet, aren’t they?

The Nissan Xterra Might Not Be The New Kid On The Block, But It’s Still A Contender

Somewhere along the car-purchasing road, buyers were somehow convinced that to get more you have to pay more. The new Nissan Xterra might not be the newest 4×4 to hit the market, but it still delivers an amazing punch and offers car buyers everything they are looking for in a car — and then some. Initially slated to give the Toyota 4Runner and Jeep Cherokee a run for their money, it has collected a following that is still loyal today.

The newest model of the Nissan Xterra is a lot more “grand” than previous models. Designed without harsh edges like what you’d see on modern SUVs and trucks, it is more like a Land Rover than anything else. The Xterra is an SUV that looks like nothing else. With its unassuming look, it captures the imaginations of car buyers who are tired of the flash and technology that not many people want or use but pay a whole lot for.

The new Xterra model comes with basic climate controls and an independent front suspension that takes a little of the “ride” out of your ride. It’s not an excellent off-road vehicle — not because it can’t take the abuse, but because your body takes a little more of a beating with the less-than-smooth ride. The 2017 model

The new 2017 version has been upgraded to match other car manufacturers. With a crossover design, you get all the functionality of an SUV without the oversized nature of one. A bold and chunky bumper comes equipped with a single fog light on both sides to create a grander and more aggressive look, which can capture the imagination of any adventurer who wants to head out on the trails. Made entirely of chrome detail work, the grille and the latticework stand out and continue throughout the underside of the automobile.

An upgraded engine under the hood

Overhead the camshaft powerful V6 engine churns a maximum of 261 horsepower and over 281 torque pound-feet. That is an upgrade from previous models, which gives the new Xterra enough aggression to make it on any excursion that you set out on. The best part is that the upgrades will cost you nothing in mileage capacity.

The inside cabin

With most manufacturers trying to up their game in luxury and technology, the Xterra did what it could to keep pace, but not to outprice itself to the consumer. With a clear and unencumbered interior, the instruments, dials, and displays are anything but high-end; however, they do the trick and provide a simplified style that doesn’t overwhelm your brain with too many functions that you don’t need and probably won’t ever use.

The 5.8-inch touchscreen display is plenty for the driver, as is the infotainment system; it isn’t top-of-the-line, but it’s no slouch either. You get all the things you want without paying the high price for what you don’t. It has the technology built in to stream Bluetooth and Pandora, and has USB ports to make sure that you can stay fully connected.

It also comes with the old-fashioned AM/FM/CD player — which might be a thing of the past for some manufacturers, but the buyers of the Xterra is different. They aren’t looking to upgrade everything; they just want a simple car that has all they need, and the interior of the new Xterra delivers

Finally, the cabin room provides enough for passengers to stretch out and enjoy some legroom. The back seat also has plenty of space for the weekend warrior.

The Xterra might not be the new kid on the block or the fanciest car out there, but what it does deliver is a consistent ride without all the bells and whistles that most people might want but never use. A steady performer, the Xterra will find its niche in the crossover world as the vehicle that delivers quality without a high finance bill.

With a touch of styling: DF Automotive tweaks the already sexy SEAT Ateca

2017 DF Automotive Seat Ateca Xcellence There is one single Seat Ateca Xcellence that appears to be a rather lucky one. You ask why? Because, my friends, DF Automotive, the fine tuner from Flensburg, decided to take a closer look at the machine and see how it could be transformed for the better. There were tweaks mainly on the drivetrain system, but as you will see, the DF Automotive presence is visible also on the outside of the vehicle.

Long story short, the revised Ateca is now faster, more agile and far more confident on the road. Short story long, the engineering team has changed and tweaked numerous components. First of all, the original 2.0 TDI now delivers a total of 213hp (157kW) and 460Nm of torque. This means a kick of additional 63hp and 120Nm of torque. Greatly appreciated. Furthermore, the vehicle received fresh new KW coil-over suspension. And all this is topped with Hankook tires type Ventus S1 Evo in 235/35ZR20 (92Y) on polished gloss black MSW 48 rims in 8,5×20.

In fact, the wheels are incredibly stylish. And the best of all is that they fit in the whole exterior design concept. After all it is a Seat vehicle. These are known for their sexy looks.

Carbon Motors showcases a Lotus with enhanced interior. Check it out!

2017 Carbon Motors Lotus Elise Series II Our fellow friends from Carbon Motors present us a rather special tuning project: Lotus Elise Series II with magnificent tweaks and additions. Definitely sexy and bold, this revised machine deserves our attention. And yours too. Believe us!

First of all, we must say that this project aims to enhance the original looks of the vehicle without the intention to change it. Something more, the engineering team has upgraded mainly the interior of the Elise – after all, even magicians of Carbon Motors’ league must admit that the exterior styling language of this vehicle is almost impeccable. Of course, nobody claims that the original cabin concept is any bad, but it is apparent that there were people that could offer a lot more in order to make it look even sexier.

Staying true to the popular slogan “do less and achieve more”, Carbon Motors team made a lot of changes. Or, more precisely, there were just a few changes and tweaks that tell a whole story of beauty, expression and elegance. You know what they say about artist’s soul, don’t you? It always seeks ways to express itself through the outside world.

So, what are the notable additions to this most beloved Elise? Well, the seats received a rather sexy coating: Carbon Motors team upholstered both of them with black leather, grey Alcantara and blended these both colors with neat contrast stitching. Of course, as it comes to a contemporary sports vehicle, using carbon-fiber is inevitable. There are fine lightweight pieces that cover the sills and dashboard vents. With doing so, the team not only contributed to this sweet sporty feeling, but also enhances the elegance of the whole design concept. We do know that usually “sporty” and “elegant” are not words that do hand by hand, but as it seems, Carbon Motors team thinks otherwise – they have showed the world that these two can go altogether to the top the tuning league!

SPEED-BUSTER team enhanced two lucky Audi machines. Check’em out!

2017 SPEED-BUSTER Audi S5 and RS5 Chiptuning SPEED-BUSTER team takes a closer look at Audi’s Biturbo machines. As we all know that these bad boys are extremely sexy and appealing and at the same time offer some massive amount of power and road agility. What the tuning team has done is as straightforward as fucntional as possible: both the RS5 and S5 receive comprehensive chip tuning that adds more to the pure power output of the power unit.

SPEED-BUSTER’s Chiptuning-Box pack is a special one in many ways: first, it utilizes vehicle’s parameters and capabilities, then it processes the data from the original Audi sensors to the original ECU. Inden Design strikes again: here is team’s depiction of a mighty Mercedes-AMG machine!

2017 Inden Design Mercedes-AMG C 63 Black Series Joe Inden and his team of magicians strike again! Inden Design proudly showcases its latest project: a heavily revised 2015 Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Edition 507 that is now part of tuner’s Black Series. We have much to discuss about this badass, so we’d better waste no more time!

First of all, the original Mercedes-AMG was completely dismanteled and has undergone a rather comprehensive inner revision. There were new KW coil-over-suspension Club Sport pack and exclusive original Black Series side skirts and body parts. Of course, the engineering team proceeded further with internal tweaks and adds revised front and rear bumpers, side sills and a pretty neat AMG Black Series original hood. Badass to the bone.

Long story short, we see a rather menacing beast: the best part of all is that the well-known and beloved Mercedes-AMG lines and curves are present, but at the same time are further enhanced and make the overall stance far more muscular and menacing. And let’s admit it: these widened bumpers are just out of this planet. And all of this is topped with massive one-piece BBS-F1 light alloys in 8,75Jx19 with 245/35R19 Michelin Sport on the front and in 12,0Jx19 with 305/30R19 on the rear axle.

Last but not least, let’s have a look at the wheel-tire-combination: The one-piece BBS-F1 light alloy rims – in 8,75Jx19 with 245/35R19 Michelin Sport on the front axle and in 12,0Jx19 with 305/30R19 on the rear axle, each with 15-mm spacer discs – are powdered in silk-matt black and the edge of the rims are finished in high-gloss red paint. The History of Saturn?

2017-Saturn-910 In the late 1980s, General Motors (GM) formed a new car company to compete with the growing number of Japanese imports coming into the country. The promise behind this new company was enormous. The idea behind Saturn involved not just excellent automotive engineering, it also involved a radical change in the very way cars were built. The Saturn concept worked. The brand was remarkably successful from 1991 to 2009 but in 2010, GM shut it down even though sales were still strong. Here is the story.

The 1980s

The Saturn concept grew out of a particular climate within the car industry in the late 1980s. At the time, General Motors was building big, heavy automobiles emphasizing style and comfort. The industry, however, began to change in the 1960s, though, when foreign car makers started to ship smaller, more efficient cars to the States.

By the late 1960s, GM began to lose significant market share to foreign imports, particularly those from Japan. In 1968, GM announced that it would build a new car called the Vega to compete with the foreign imports. The finished product, introduced in 1970, however, proved disappointing. Vegas tended to rust quickly and their aluminum engines wore out quickly. In 1975, GM introduced another new import killer called the Chevette. It sold into the 1980s but was a disappointment too.

This series of models from GM confirmed in some people’s minds the suspicion that GM and the other U.S. automakers couldn’t make a high-quality small car. And since smaller cars were believed to represent the future of the industry, the episode called into question of the of the American auto business.

A New Car Company

By the early 1980s, General Motors was rapidly losing market share and knew that it had to act. The result was Saturn. Saturn was to be not only a new kind of car, it was to be a new type of car company. The cars themselves would be built for the highest quality and used unique materials (the body panels were polymer) and they were to be built differently; Saturns were built by teams of workers that had actual input into the construction process. In 1991, the first Saturns started to roll off the assembly line and soon Saturn was a massive hit.

In fact, for the first five years of production, the demand was so high that Saturn retailers were chronically short of vehicles. By 1994, Saturn was the third best-selling car model in the U.S. with J.D. Powers consistently rating it as among the top three cars in owner and customer sales satisfaction. Owner enthusiasm went so off the charts that Saturn held “homecoming” celebrations in 1994 and 1999 and 100,000 owners attended.

What Went Wrong

GM pulled the plug on Saturn in 2010 leaving millions of owners wondering what went wrong. According to our source at Lynch Chevrolet of Mukwonago, a local Chevrolet dealer in Mukwonago, WI, GM insiders say it was because Saturn as a car company was too different. It was so different that the other GM divisions had trouble working with it. And then there was money. When Roger Smith launched Saturn, he told the other divisions they couldn’t have many additional funds to introduce their new models. This was because the Saturn launch was the priority. Saturn, after all, was the grand experiment that could change everything GM did so a lot of resources went into its creation and launch. Unfortunately, this lead to everyone in the GM family being hostile toward and jealous of the new arrival. Eventually the hostility within GM towards the Saturn brand was the beginning of the end.

Rally central, The best rally driving spots in England

If you are a motorsport fan, then it is likely that you have happened to stumble across the fantastic sport of rallying at some point. Rallying is one of the most affordable and enjoyable forms of motorsport there is in Britain – and who wouldn’t want to have a go at sliding a car around gravel, or between trees, at an incredibly high speed? Rallying is a completely different form of motorsport to traditional circuit racing, as in rallying you have to beat your competitor’s time, instead of overtaking them on the track. But, as is the case with circuit racing, the great thing is that there are a variety of must-see rally events in the UK, which are great fun for motorsport fans and their families. But there are also a variety of rally experience days, where you can experience the thrill of getting behind the wheel of a rally car for yourself.

There are multiple rally events which take place in the UK and perhaps the best of them all is the MSA Pirelli International Rally. This rally, which is usually held in the spring, is held around Carlisle (which is actually the home of the biggest Pirelli tyre plant in the UK). All of the stages are however held in the spectacular Kielder Forest, which is Europe’s biggest man-made forest, resulting in a fantastic, ultra-fast rally on a mixture of terrains, which is always a true test of both car and driver skill. The Nicky Grist Stages rally, which is held in Wales in July, is perhaps the most demanding rally in Britain and drivers compete on a mixture of surfaces, including some incredible Welsh forest stages. Both rally events regularly provide highly-entertaining and close competition, although as both rallies have many country stages, don’t forget your camera or your umbrella!

After you have had the experience of watching a rally car going flat-out through demanding countryside in an attempt to beat the stopwatch, you will of course be desperate to try it for yourself. So where can you do this in the UK? Various venues offer experience days and tuition and costs range from approximately £150 to £300 and typically last 90 minutes or more in duration. For example, the Silverstone Rally School, which is based at the famous Silverstone Formula One Circuit in Northamptonshire, offer an excellent track day experience. For those who are interested in competition in the future, the London Rally School, which operates from two venues in Oxfordshire, offer a range of rally driving experiences. These range from one-off, casual, rally experiences, to personal tuition, driver coaching and even the MSA Licence exam which rally drivers require for competition. For those who live north of the border, the famous Knockhill racing circuit in Fife also provide a range of rally experiences. Knockhill also give you the option to combine the rally experience with karting, or skid practice. So what are you waiting for? Get out on the gravel today!

LARTE Design’s depiction of a Porsche Macan SUV: masterfully executed

2017 LARTE Design Porsche Macan Okay, we admit it: LARTE Design remains one of our favorite tuners. We have tons of reasons to place it in our top 5 ranking, but as it comes to this review, we will be sticking to one particular perk: all LARTE Design projects are simply beautiful. Of course, they are also functional, advanced and luxurious, but we said that we will keep it simple.

What we are recently given to enjoy is a refined Posche Macan unit. Although all Porsche vehicles are advanced and of high quality, there is always a way to make them even more luxurious.

For this particular project, the design team has included new exclusive body kit with full-fledged design bumpers and numerous carbon-fiber components. Lightweight and expressive, these components add to the overall sporty spirit of the vehicle. My favorite remains the carbon-fiber rear wing. In my view, it completely resembles the desire of both Porsche and LARTE Design stylists: it is elegant, discrete and yet showcases that it is there in order to restrain the massive power of the vehicle. It is almost a symbol in the world of luxurious sport vehicles. Further goodies include front bumper overlay, splitter, rear bumper diffuser and trunk lid spoiler.

In fact, the thing that astonishes the most is that LARTE Design team does not try to change the nature of the vehicle. Just the opposite, it just adds a kick to the original concept design: it makes it look sexier, muscular and more premium. In fact, some would argue that the original Macan can go more expressive, but as it seems LARTE team is ready to showcase just the opposite.

The True Champion: The Ford F-150 Pickup

The Ford F-150 truck is one of the all-time best selling trucks in American automotive history. Whatever it is that you want a truck for the F-150 will meet your needs. This light duty truck is powered by a V6 3.5-liter gas engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission enhances an already smooth and quiet ride. How The Dodge Challenger Flexed Its Muscles

2017 Dodge Challenger SRT I parked next to a new Dodge Challenger the other day and I got out of my car and started looking at it. What a work of art. That Challenger looked intimidating just sitting between the two whit lines in its parking space and it wasn’t even running. I could sense the potential rumble of its engine though. I didn’t want to get to close in case it woke up and started to growl. After I spent about five minutes walking around the car and then another couple of minutes standing about ten feet away from it visualizing myself in the driver’s seat, I got back in my car and drove straight to Bodwell Chrysler, Jeep Dodge and asked for a test drive in the new 2017 Dodge Challenger.

The people there were so nice and very accommodating. One of the salesman immediately retrieved the keys to a beautiful yellow Challenger with black wheels that was on the front lot. We walked over to it and once again I was in awe and for a moment I headed over to the passenger side to get in. The salesman smiled and said, “You want to drive it, right?” I told that of course, I did and but in my mind I still couldn’t believe that I was actually going to drive this legendary muscle car.

I had always been thrilled with the “idea” of muscle cars and I never really considered owning one myself. It was always good enough just to watch the cars from a distance and to know that other people were having fun driving them. I just never believed that it was possible for me to actually own one and I couldn’t imagine myself ever backing out of the garage every single day in one of the great muscle car legends.

When I started up the yellow Challenger I began to see that maybe…just maybe – it was possible to own one of these great cars myself. I drove it off the lot with the salesman sitting in the passenger seat. He kept pretty quiet as he could see that I was thoroughly enjoying myself in this power machine, which, by the way, was extremely comfortable and the driver seat and steering wheel fit like a glove.
