  • Kahn is Going to Geneva and This is Why You Should Be Excited About It

Vengeance Front View The news you have probably not heard yet is that Kahn Design is going to display a lot of special models at the Geneva Motor Show this year. If you are going to visit it, be prepared to see some old good cars they have made throughout the year and exciting new debuts. One thing is sure, Afzal Kahn’s finest vehicles will be shown there.
We have just received a confirmation letter, stating that the visitors of the event in Geneva will see the official launch of the Vengeance project, the rather eccentric Defender 110 6×6 Double Cab Pick Up, and the Chelsea Truck Company Wide Track S.

    Vengeance

Geneva is the place where Aston Martin DB9 based model will celebrate its official launch. The wide body two door coupe has a muscular and aggressive design, featuring aggressive front grille, new hood and front fenders. Widened rear wings, stainless steel roof halo and window trim are accompanied by diminished rear windows.

SEE ALSO: Kahn Releases First Official Photos of Vengeance Project

In addition, this design treasure will be also running on huge stainless steel 20-inch front wheels fitted and 21-inch rear wheels. The Vengeance will have a limited production run and will be entirely hand built by Kahn’s experts. We hope to get more details as the Geneva Motor Show approaches.

Defender 110 6×6 Double Cab Pick Up

Defender 110 6x6 Double Cab Pick Up front View

Kahn’s Defender 110 6×6 Defender Double Cab Pickup will also be on display. The vehicle looks gorgeous, kind of extravagant, but this is probably because it runs on six wheels! This means that model had to be transformed by means of extension and widening.

The exterior of the Defender also received many tweaks, but we hope to get the exact details right before the show. Ok, let’s say that there will be new front bumper, X-Lander grille and the exuberance of Kahn badging. Modifications to the interior are also planned.

Chelsea Truck Company Wide Track S

Chelsea Truck Company Wide Track S

This vehicle will be making the biggest surprise at the show. It will be exhibited alongside the Project Kahn Range Rover Vogue and the Imperial Blue Range Rover Sport editions. We haven’t seen it so far, except for a recently released sketch drawing.

The new styling package add Kahn’s sense of aggressive look, including prominent changes to the front grille and bumper, wider wheel arches filled with huge rubbers, and probably a new vented aluminum bonnet. The styling package will bring the Jeep closer in appearance to company’s successful Land Rover Defender Wide Track. And this is also confirmed through its name.

If all this is of interest to you then you should go visit the Geneva Motor Show in the beginning of March. You can join Kahn Design at stand Nr. 6338. And in the meanwhile we will keep you updated.

We know that Kahn Design likes to make thing perfect inside and out, so let’s see what they have done to the exterior of the beautiful Wrangler.

    Exterior

The CJ300 LE has a vibrant paint scheme, called Volcanic Rock. It has been contrasted via Satin Black door handles, mirrors, roof and fuel filler cap. The same grayish theme is used for the front where we see two shadow chrome headlights, sitting on either side of the four-slot Chelsea Tuck Company grille with industrial mesh.

SEE ALSO: Kahn Designs a Keswick Green Defender that is Ready for Action

We can assure you that this vehicle is Kahn’s via the new Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover, Kahn enamel tailgate logo, and fender shields. Silver Platinum 20-inch Jeep 1986 wheels were fitted with 275/55/20″ tyres, behind which sit Liquid Gold brake callipers. At last grabbing the attention is the quad cross-hair exhaust system sitting beneath the rear bumper.

    Interior

Kahn Jeep Wrangler Sahara CTC Interior

Proceeding to the interior, it is as luxurious as you might imagine it to be, if you are following closely Kahn’s work. It can’t be viewed from the outside, because up front is a privacy-tinted glass. Once you step inside, you experience the comfortability of brand new front and rear seats wrapped in quilted and perforated black leather. By the way, the same approach has been used for the centre console and arm rests.

The last details were added with the stainless steel door entry sill plates, toughened rubber floor mats, and machined vented foot pedals. And there is a complement by the tuner. The person who will get this beautiful machine will also receive an elegant Chelsea Truck Company watch with machined Stainless Steel case with black PVD coating and tough mineral glass. Satin Black is the color choice for the front appliqué, badging on the hood and rear liftgate, and the lightweight split five-spoke “5Ten” 20-inch wheels. Behind the latter there are standard Brembo brakes. But if you are looking for a different exterior color for this Jeep, then you can chose among these: Velvet Red, Billet Silver and Granite Crystal.

Inside, the black design theme is continued via the Black Laguna leather upholstery and the Silver accent stitching and Light Black Chrome bezels. Other featured for the special edition Grand Cherokee are optional and they come in exchange for extra money, namely the dual-pane sunroof, a 19-speaker 825-watt Harman Kardon stereo system, trailer tow package, three-season tires, a full-size spare tire and a dual-screen rear entertainment system.

The performance is very tough, meaning that the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, from 0 to 100-0 mph in 16.3 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 160 mph.

    2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry

The special features here include Backcountry decal on the front fender and rear quarter panel, a unique off-road front and rear powder coated bumper, 17-inch Rubicon wheels painted in Mid-gloss Black and a black fuel fill door.

Wrangler Rubicon rock rails are also standard, in contrast to the Sahara side steps, which are optional. The black hard top could be specified in an optional body color. In general, the Wrangler Backcountry is available in five colors: Hydro Blue, Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal and Xtreme Purple.

The interior of the Sahara-based model is adorned by a dark theme. Precisely, there are Piano Black vent rings, door handles and grab handles, vinyl-wrapped console lid and door armrests with Diesel Gray accent stitching, black McKinley leather seat bolsters with black sport mesh inserts, a nine-speaker premium Alpine sound system and all-weather slush mats. • Jeep and Mopar Show Custom Trio in Frankfurt

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser Front ViewJeep and Mopar are currently showing three exclusive vehicles at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The most impressive one is the Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser, which besides its expressive appearance includes 4-inch lift kit and half doors. The second is the Cherokee KrawLer which will be detailed below but in general features one-off suspension, tires and skid plates. At last but not least, the Renegade Trailhawk includes custom goodies such as 17-inch rims, underbody skid plates and tow hooks. These show vehicles were modified with selection of parts and accessories delivered by Mopar and serve to demonstrate how one can personalize their own Jeep.

    Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser

Starting with the Wrangler, its pictures surely impress us. With its matte orange paintwork that has inspired its name, and a lot of unique Mopar accessories, the vehicle stands out from the crowd immediately. Some of the features here include bumpers with a double tow hook on the front, a 4-inch suspension lift kit and half doors.

The customized vehicle is also fitted with LED lights positioned between the A-pillar and windscreen. As a matter of fact, the LED technology is implemented for the DRLs and the rear light clusters. Inside, the cabin is wrapped in black leather that has been accentuated by matte fluorescent orange trim.

Furthermore, this Wrangler also includes engine skid plate and beadlock wheels. At last, needed to be mentioned is that the Sunriser is powered by a 2.8 CRD engine combined with a five-speed automatic transmission.

    Jeep Cherokee KrawLer

    Jeep Cherokee KrawLer Front View

The Mopar enhanced Cherokee KrawLer is based on the Trailhawk model and has been created with the aim to tackle any driving condition, even the toughest one. Having a raised ride height and a lot of off-road equipment, this vehicle is the perfect one for those seeking adventures.

Precisely, the KrawLer features special suspension, BFGoodrich KM2 255/80/17 off-road tires, wider fenders, skid plates and rock rails. Even the exterior paint color is adventurous: its military-inspired matte-green body color has been accented by quartz grey interior and exterior details.

As a true off-roader, the KrawLer is driven by a 3.2 V6 Pentastar 272 horsepower engine connected to an automatic nine-speed transmission and “Jeep Active Drive Lock” four-wheel drive. By the way, the latter features low range and rear differential lock.

    Jeep Renegade Trailhawk

    Jeep Renegade Trailhawk Front View

The Moparized Renegade Trailhawk is the third in the trio shown in Frankfurt. It rides on 17-inch aluminium alloys and also features uderbody skid plates, two rear tow hooks and black mirror caps. By the way, they make a very nice accent to the Anvil-colored livery strengthened by the special side stickers. The cabin of this variant of the Trailhawk includes sporty pedals and Jeep design mats. And although this seems to be the least personalized vehicle, it surely catches the attention.

If you could buy one of these three, which one would you choose?

  • Kahn Unveils Sunset Orange Jeep Wrangler Sahara

Every Friday I am used to receiving an e-mail from Kahn Design with its latest project. And since today is the day, let me introduce you to the Jeep Wrangler CJ300 by the Chelsea Truck Company (CTC). This one is so cute that I am sure you’ll love it as I did. The Wrangler is definitely my favorite from all Jeep models, and it seems like the one and only Afzal Kahn has the same feelings for it, too. So, let’s take a look at the newest addition in Chelsea Truck Company’s portfolio.

    Exterior

Starting from the outside, the exterior of the Wrangler looks intriguing with its two-tone design scheme. The tuners have used Sunset Orange as paint, but have accentuated it with a contrasting Piano Black used for the door handles, fuel filler cap and mirrors.

SEE ALSO: Kahn Releases Tech Pack for the Range Rover Evoque RS Sport

At the front we see two smoked headlights flanked by a four-slot Chelsea Truck Company grille that features industrial mesh. We can’t miss the LED Diamond bright headlights and CTC’s spare wheel cover, which rounds out the exterior modifications.

    Wheels & Tires

Complementing the Piano Black theme are the Satin Black 17-inch big Jeep 1941 wheels. They fit perfectly to vehicle’s exterior and are fitted with Copper Discoverer ST Maxx 285/70/17 all terrain tires. Commenting on the wheels, we can’t fail to see the new painted brake callipers with a set of mud flaps. There is also a new quad-cross-hair exhaust system.

    Interior

For the cabin, Kahn Design has used quilted and perforated leather extensively. It has been matched with contrasting white stitching. The same material was used for the centre glove box and arm rests, while the steering wheel is absolutely new and now offers greater grip and feel for the driver.

At last, beneath the waistline we see stainless steel door entry sill plates and new floor mats.

  • Seven Concepts for Easter Jeep Safari Revealed

Jeep Chief Side View The 49th annual Easter Jeep Safari is starting on 28th of March and lasting until 5th of April in Moab, Utah. We told you almost ten days ago that this is where seven Jeep vehicles will have their official premiere. The company has just revealed the cars online and we are happy to share this information with you. The “lucky seven” is an example how anyone can individualize their Jeep with Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts.

Another interesting fact is that the concepts are made by a small team of dedicated engineers and designers. Their task was to customize the vehicles. The first one in the Easter Jeep Safari concepts range is the Jeep Chief that is inspired by the Cherokees from the 70s. It is also Wrangler-based and has some styling characteristics that link to the west coast surfer lifestyle.

From the outside it carries an Ocean Blue dress and white French Bread roof. In addition, its razor grille was redesigned and next to it we see new halogen headlamps. This car also features something really surprising and at the same time exciting: removable sides for an open-air experience.

Inside, the interior is Hawaiian themed and includes “Surfer” pink, blue and white flowered cloth. Moreover, the seats are wrapped in leather, while the center console and door handles are adorned by surf stickers. The Chief is driven by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 unit, which is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.

Jeep Staff Car pays tribute to the iconic military service vehicles. We have here a Wrangler based concept that delivers open-air experience and has this minimalist appearance. Literally everything echoes the original military Jeep cars starting from the basic steel wheels up to the stretched canvas roof. The exterior color chosen for this concept is called Sandstorm and it can also be seen on the wheels, frame and axles.

What’s interesting here is that this concept has no B-pillar or doors.

Other eye-catchers are the round headlamps, the J8 front and rear bumpers, the blackout lamp with guards mounted on the fender and the vintage military gas can. Inside, we see only a low-backed bench seats, integrated roll cage and a painted steel floor, while the power comes from the same engine mentioned above.

Next is the Wrangler Africa that comes in Desert Tan. It also features steel front bumper with winch, power dome vented hood and other tweaks delivered by Mopar. The power unit here is different: the 2.8-liter diesel engine linked to an automatic transmission.

Then comes the Grand Cherokee Overlander that is perfect for camping and it also has this nature inspired exterior color called Sage Green. The additional features included here are new front winch, the SRT taillamps and hood, the off-road rock rails tow hooks and the larger wheel flares. The engine here is also different: the 3.0-liter diesel V-6 engine and it is mated to the eight-speed Torqueflight transmission. The most interesting thing about this concept is that it has hard-shell rooftop tent for two persons.

The next concept is dubbed Renegade Desert Hawk and this is probably the newest vehicle in the range, since it has been the last one featured in Jeep’s lineup. The model features new body decal with very special graphics as well as off-road rock rails trailer hitch receiver and a roof rack. Its interior was also improved with Mopar Katzkin seat covers, while its power comes from the 2.4-liter Tigershark engine with MultiAir2 linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Desert Tan exterior paint is also the color beautifying the Jeep Cherokee Canyon Trail. In contrast to it, there is this Satin Black hood with a decal depicting Hell’s Revenge graphics. Katzkin seat covers are present here as well, but there are other highlights too: the body color bezel accents, the contrasting stitching, the all-weather floor mats and many more.

It is visible that this concept has received a very off-road look, but this stance must be supported by adequate performance. It is delivered by the same transmission and engine that drives the Desert Hawk. Here we should also mention the Jeep Active Drive Lock that has a low range and a locking rear differential.

At last, but not least is the mighty Wrangler Red Rock Responder. This concept has only one goal – to drive through world’s toughest terrains and respond to emergencies. It is equipped with off-road features including spare parts and tools, thus it can help any other vehicle. Besides the expressive color, this Jeep is fitted with new body decal and 10th Anniversary hood with hydraulic hood props. Not to mention the LED headlamps and foglamps, LED A-pillar and off-road lamps.

And if you think that the interior will suffer then you are wrong, because the concept has been fitted with embroidered black and red Katzkin leather seats, red accent bezels, new grab handles and floor mats. The four wheels of the car are driven by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 coupled with an automatic transmission.

  • Jeep to Introduce Seven Concepts at Easter Jeep Safari

The 49th Annual Easter Jeep Safari is going to start as usually in Moab, Utah, in the last Saturday of March and will continue till fifth of April. This is a grand event for Jeep and for this reason we expect to see there many new concept vehicles. So far so good, because this is exactly what will happen when the seven new concepts debut. Everything that we know so far is that they will be equipped with Jeep performance parts from Mopar.

Oh, and there are to new teasers showing just two of the concept debuting in Utah. These are the Jeep Chief and Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Responder and they pose some questions since there is literally no information disclosed.

As we look at the images, the first one, the Chief concept, appears to be somehow a vintage Wrangler with retro-styled taillights and appearance due to the side graphics (the teaser below). Will this be a new take on the popular Jeepster of the sixties and seventies?

On the other hand, the second one will undoubtedly feature truck bed and a decal. The question here is will it be a pickup concept?

And that’s it, there are no other words saying what to expect. So we will have to wait until next week for more data on the entire Easter Jeep Safari lineup. Hope to receive it prior 28th of March. Stay tuned!

  • Jeep Wrangler Sport Arrives with More Power

Known for their styling and performance improvements for US cars, the Munich region-based professionals at GeigerCars.de provide a Jeep Wrangler with some significant modifications. Like a supercharger upgrade that boosts the Jeep’s power for example.

Thanks to the GeigerCars.de supercharger, the Wrangler’s 3.6 liter V6 engine is now able to pump out a power output that is 80 HP and 70 Nm of torque more than before. Thus, the vehicle now has to tame 356 horses while giving 417 Nm of torque respectively.

Other components which are part of the conversion are: a cold air intake box, charge air inter-cooler and bespoke ECU remapping. Furthermore, power and throttle response are helped by GeigerCars.de four-outlet-pipe stainless steel sports exhaust. It reduces back-pressure and is able to offer more sporty and harmonious sound. If such sound could be described as harmonious… Maybe harmonious in a rougher way.

What is more, the off-road capability of this powerful automotive monster is improved by a riser kit that lifts the ground clearance by 2.5 inches and also raises the seating position. Looking tougher than ever, this Jeep Wrangler Sport benefits from 18-inch alloy wheels with 305/70 Mickey Thompson tires. The tuner also gives the Jeep five powerful LED E-marked street legal auxiliary lights, front bumper bull bar and strong metal front skid plate, protecting the front grille and the undercarriage when going through a difficult terrain, while the rear bumper gains a special carrier for the big spare wheel and a water tank.

Lastly, this vehicle comes with the factory automatic transmission, hardtop, leather upholstery, high-end audio system, and a kilometers speedometer.

The completed 2015 GeigerCars Jeep Wrangler Sport with all the components costs 64,200 euro. Yet, they can be ordered separately.
