V8 Supercars Continues With the latest Volvo

V8 Supercars continues and will show the latest Volvo, especially created for Scott McLaughlin. The show resumes with the Perth Supersprint, where McLaughlin scored an official victory for Volvo Polestar Racing. Scott himself says, that he is excited about the car and the track. He finds the track special, because of the win.

This season starts with tough time for McLaughlin, who had to go from 20th place to the 13th after the race in Tasmania a month ago. And mr. McLaughlin stays motivated. He ensures us, that the game will change and he will determined to fight hard for the vital points. And why not for the first place itself.

As you might remember, David Wall changes car ahead of the Peth weekend and takes over McLaughlin. He also stays confident, when it comes to his foot injury, that kept him a bit off the track.

Wall himself says, that he is taking over Scott’s car and for him it feels really good. He ensures us, that the different position would not affect his driving. In fact, he feels motivated about the change. And feels exited and ready to go back to the track.

We all wish him luck and many professional occasions for celebration.

Volvo Announces Specifications on its Latest Models

Volvo V60 The latest, the third and fourt Cross Country models, that will join Volvo‘s portfolio are already available to order. The prices are announced, as well the specifications both for the S60 Cross Country and the V60 Cross Country. As you know, the Cross Country offers incredible all-road capability and performance since the first release of V70 in 1997.

Both models reflect the love and passion, that Volvo team show us and both of them demonstrate sporty feel and look, along with comfortable drive and pleasure of driving. Production will be started in May for the V60, while the S60 will be ready for producing in June. The UK market expects to start purchasing the latest models from June.

Both the V60 and S60 will be available with different engine models, trims and goodies. One of the main features is the design: it represents sport and elegance. The latest models are especially made for people with active lifestyle, who love exploring and adventures.

Volvo Lounge Console Volvo Cars has just showed its latest concept at the Shanghai Auto Show, that definitely takes the meaning of the word ‘luxurious’ on the next level. Named “The Lounge Console”, the concept offers the chauffeur-driven customers a really comfort and stylish place to relax, while driving to the desired destination.

The Volvo engineers made a special research, just to be even more-precise to what has the brand to offer to the high-profile lifestyle customers. The end result, as you can see for yourself, is a stunning looking, high quality, high-style interior.

The Lounge Console is especially crafted to boost the in-car experience. The Volvo designers included a large and stylish working table, that could be opened, just to reveal a illuminated mirror and a jewelry store. The table also could be set to display a 17-inch media screen for a unseen in-car cinema experience. There is even a cushioned leg rest and beneath it, you can put your shoes. Don’t worry. The place is especially created shoe storage. In fact, the removal of the front seat offers a spacious and comfortable ride, as well a wonderful panorama view.

Volvo Is Ready to Unveil yet Another Hybrid

Volvo Hybrid Volvo Cars is ready to reveal the world’s first seven-seat vehicle, that is a plug-in hybrid. The ride will be first introduced in the United States and the model is XC90 T8 Twin Engine. The hybrid is powered with Volvo’s 2.0-Liter supercharged and turbocharged Drive-E powreplant and with a rear axle electric motor. With the cooperative power of both power supplies the car is capable of producing 394 hp (289 kW) and goes from 0-68 mph in 5.7 seconds.

The brand’s latest model will come with three selectable driving modes, that allow smooth performance and flexibility on every terrain and occasion. The modes are:

Hybrid: This is the default mode, often referred as the “casual” mode and brings alternate power from both motors and has the greatest fuel consumption efficiency.

Pure electric: Obviously the mode, that uses energy only from the electric motor. It is a wonderful city-drive based mode and is capable of going for about 17 miles without recharging.

Power mode: This is the special mode, that utilizes both the combustion engine and the electric motor. It works as this. When both engines are started, the system takes advantage of the electric motor, which has faster response time until the combustion engine gets up to speed. This is the ideal mode if you need better torque at lower revs.

The XC90 T8 design really highlights the sporty performance with incredibe features, that include the piano black grille, R-Designed front spoiler, dual tail pipes, silver trim. The cabin is really a comfortable place and welcomes the drivers with Nubuck and Nappa leather clothing.

With all the wonderful features, the XC90 TB has its well-deserved positive feedback. In fact, there is large interest in buyers, who already made tremendous preorder pays.

Volvo Expands the Hybrid Line

Volvo vehicles continue global expansion with the premium hybrid S60L T6 Twin Engine. The latest member of the family was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show. As you know, Volvo brand is a pioneer in the field of hybrid engine systems. In fact, Volvo is the first company to present a plug-in hybrid and a diesel engine in such application.

The proudly crafted S60L shows a Drive-E four-cylinder 2-Liter petrol engine, that is connected to rear-axle drive electric motor, further powered with an 11,2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This whole combination of technology and dedication brings a total of 306 hp (225 kW) and 350 + 200 Nm with emissions of 49g/km. All these stats make the S60L one of the best performing hybrids on the market today.

In addition to the great performing powerplant system, Volvo team bring us a vehicle with switchable driving modes, that can satisfy the requirements of every customer. The Twin-Engine technology includes three different modes: Pure, Hybrid and Power.

The Pure mode brings only electric energy and brings a range of up to 53 kilometers (29 miles)

The Hybrid variant, as name suggests, both engines cooperate to bring a pleasurable drive and emissions of only 49g/km

In Power mode you will experience the maximum power, that the vehicle can offer. Both the petrol and electric motor bring a total of 238 + 68 hp (175 + 50 kW) and acceleration, measured at 5.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

S560L can be recharged from a regular outlet, or at home and the recharging time depends on the amperage. The time varies between 4.5 to 7.5 hours.

Volvo Redefines Excellence with Luxury XC90 Edition

Volvo XC90 Excellence Side VIew Are you looking inside of a Rolls-Royce? No. This is Volvo’s XC90 Excellence. The other shocking news is that it has been prepared to debut at the Shanghai International Automobile Show, so we won’t have the chance to get our hands on it. It is actually very sad news, because this is Swedish company’s most luxurious vehicle ever built.

A four-seater, this car has been created with the aim to be individual and distinctive. And so it is. Although it has been based on the XC90, this vehicle has nothing to do with it. The first difference is in the seats: the original version has a plenty of seven, while hear are only four. This of course speaks of more space for the occupants, which is also used to bring about First Class experience.

Speaking of luxury, we should begin at first with the individual rear seats, which are comfortable and include massage, ventilation and more space for the legs. For those lucky to travel at the back, there is a retractable control touchscreen, folding tables and a refrigerator. Inside one finds bottle and glass holders, heating/cooling cup holder and Orrefors handmade crystal glasses. Just like in a proper Rolls-Royce, isn’t it?

There is even more to that, we haven’t mention the footrests for the passengers, ambient lighting inside the cabin, illuminated storage and the leather with so many accents. The luggage compartment is divided via screen, there is additional noise insulation complemented by Pirelli Noise Cancelling System tyres (PNCS).

Furthermore, the XC90 Excellence is also equipped with Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 19 speakers, integrated ionic air cleaner in the CleanZone climate system, leather instrument panel with contrasting stitching and Nabuck leather headliner. Other styling differentiators feature Excellence rank mark, chrome B- and C-pillar cappings and lower door mouldings.

Our regret is only that we can’t be the first to see this unique car. Those in Shanghai will be advantageous. However, XC90 Excellence will be distributed globally later this year, but only in selected markets.

Volvo Introduces S60 Inscription Luxury Model in Detroit

Volvo is introducing at the Detroit Auto Show the new S60 Inscription model, which comes with extra spacious interior and luxury design. It focuses on elegance and comfort and it is specifically aimed to meet the requirements of U.S. customers. The “Inscription” designation takes the S60 to a higher level in terms of comfort and convenience. The car offers 3.4 inches additional rear seat legroom and features and added luxury thanks to the utilization of the most natural materials, attention to detail and the iconic Scandinavian design language. The materials used in the S60 Inscription reflect the authentic Scandinavian origins of the brand.

Take for example the Linear Walnut trim or the silk metal detailing. In addition, to this the car is equipped with unique 19” wheels which add to the stability and muscularity that this car exudes. Other enhancements include interior accent lighting and Inscription branded tread plates.

Volvo S60 Inscription will be offered in two variants: Premier and Platinum. The first one will add leather upholstery, a sun/moon roof and the Sensus Navigation package. It will also come with the optional T5 in both front-wheel drive and All-Wheel Drive.

The Platinum trim level adds over the aforementioned equipment full Sensus technology package, a high-end Harman Kardon audio system, dual Xenon lights and a thoughtful convenience package. Volvo S60 Inscription is scheduled to go on sale in the U.S. this summer.

Volvo Depicts the Future with the S60 Cross Country

With the unveiling of the exciting S60 Cross Country at the Detroit Auto Show, Volvo Cars is trying to satisfy the customers’ requirements and their expectations. Delving into deeper levels of the automotive world with the Cross Country brand, the manufacturer seeks to offer one completely different and unique on-road driving experience with a remarkably stylish and sporty unit.

The new Volvo S60 Cross Country will take its power from the front-wheel drive diesel D4 engine that pumps 190 HP. This power unit is based on Volvo’s class-leading Drive-E powertrain architecture which demonstrates uncompromising mixture of quality and performance in European markets. What is more, a diesel All-Wheel Drive D4 will also be introduced based on the 2.5L 5-cylinder diesel engine which is already known for its efficiency.

Similar to its sibling, the recently announced V60 Cross Country, the S60 Cross Country’s ride height has been increased by 65mm (2.5 inches) and arrives with the same All-Wheel Drive system. The latter turns the crossover into the only fully capable and good-looking all-road saloon on the market. Additionally, the new Volvo will be available with front-wheel drive in the UK and selected markets as well.

Lastly, the 2015 Cross Country moves on 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels with high-profile tires which are said to not only ensure better comfort, but also lower the level of noise and increase wheel protection in different on – road as well as off-road conditions.

The crossover is set to debut in a few days at NAIAS when most probably we will learn about the price as well.

All-new Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine: The Most Powerful and Cleanest SUV Around the World

When creating the Volvo XC90 T8, the automaker climbs one step up in the automotive industry. The car is not deprived of any quality and performance features. On the contrary, it demonstrates sufficient stability, dynamics and class.

Under the hood, this Volvo features is equipped with: Drive-E engine, 8-speed automatic gearbox, crankshaft-mounted starter generator (CISG), high-voltage (270–400V) battery, delivering 65kW of power, rear electric motor, two-step braking system, one-of-a-kind cooling and climate system, pre-conditioning. The latter can be done while the car is plugged-in which really allows the battery to last as long as possible in Pure Electric Drive mode.

Volvo to Offer Simulated Test Drive of XC90 Using Google Cardboard

Volvo Cars is going to be the first automotive manufacturer which will use Google Cardboard in order to make a thorough change in the way different businesses enable their audiences to experience a certain product.
