  • Above and Beyond: Vilner’s unique 20th Anniversary project is finished. And it simply stunning.

2016 Vilner 20th Anniversary Land Rover Range RoverAs we have told you, our friends from Vilner have prepared something special about brand’s 20th anniversary. After they successfully hyped us with some teaser pictures, now they reveal us the final product: a fully revised and masterfully upgraded 2009 LR Range Rover Sport. As we have told you, this vehicle has a rather interesting story: It was originally given to the winner of “Britain’s Got Talent”, who a bit later sold the car to a new owner, who decided to tweak it a bit and gave it to the best out there: the tuners at Vilner.

The key word in this project is Alcantara. Being more precise, designers have used a special hand technique to achieve a certain feeling of comfort and luxury. Also, this is the first time that Vilner have used this kind of technique. It adds this sweet 3D presence, but at the same time does not insist on being too luxurious or being “too much”.

In fact, the team has managed to achieve the perfect balance: the team has applied the Alcantara on certain key places in the cabin: air vents, central console, doors, sun visiors and more. The rest of the interior detailing is covered in soft white and brown leather, stitched with the opposite color threads. Sweet.

Also, there are many authentic Vilner stamps that are present only on brand’s most exclusive and special projects. Along them there is also special black Alcantara that has been used on some of the plastic components. It is present on the central mirror housing, steering column and the dashboard sides.

In terms of exterior styling we should mention that Barugzai’s exclusive body kit has been kept intact. What Vilner team has changed, though, are the rims: the vehicle is now geared with 22-inch Gun Meal Grey Matte sweeties.

And last, but not least, Vilner has added and a special 20th Anniversary present: a bag. Brown seat belt strap, carbon fiber buckle and thinned Alcantara. Along with special metal stamp that ensures the exclusivity and uniqueness of the project itself.

    Stunning. Simply stunning.

  • Land Rover Defender 2 by Vilner

Vilner has announced a new tuning program for the rough Land Rover Defender 2, which has been transformed from hard off-roader to luxurious ride suitable for everyday driving.

The interior has been entirely reorganized – 4 individual sport seats upholstered in brown and black, using Nappa and Alcantara. There is also leather on the door panels, the dashboard, the grips on the headliner and the sun visor. It is an interesting decision to cover the sun visor in Alcantara, but it looks very nice. The same applies to the rear view mirror and the third brake light.

The shapes on the leather, the new elbow rest and the bottom of the seats reflect an athletic vigor, and the “piano lacquer” subtlety.

The floor is the another interesting highlight. It features wooden decoration, a motive that embellishes the rear arm rest. The speedometer on the dashboard has the same color as the interior.

Vilner also installed a nice multimedia system with power of 600W and 15” LCD screen connected to the DVD-player has been installed. The car cab has been soundproofed, so you can listen at max volume without disturbing anyone on the road.

  • Vilner Land Rover Defender Experience – “The Twins”

Land Rover Defenders are commonly valued for their unmatched off-road capabilities and extreme toughness. People who buy these iconic machines usually apply their qualities in exotic adventures or work in heavy terrain conditions. There are probably also people who see Land Rovers as accommodating and functional too, but never luxurious.

However, there are wealthy people who are not ready to sacrifice their comfort and luxurious surroundings, in order to experience the Defender in its element. They typically go off and buy one of the new-age ‘soft’ off-roaders.

Some of them, however, choose another route and seek the assistance of specialized experts, such as the Bulgarian-based tuning and customization studio Vilner. Such is the case with a Russian oligarch, who wished to have his identity remain undisclosed. The challenge he presented the Vilner team with was to completely revamp two Land Rover Defenders, which are set to be used in the client’s private hunting grounds and entertain both him and his exclusive guests.

The guys at Vilner took up to the challenge and wasted no time in turning the harsh off-roaders into world-class luxury machines, without spoiling their ability to reach the Earth’s most distant and inaccessible spots. They named the project “The Twins”.

To start with, the team added to the Defender’s sound insulation, which in its standard trim is practically non-existent, in order to significantly decrease noise and vibrations inside the saloon. They continued by dressing the door panels in a combination of Alcantara and Nappa leather (with the latter being the same as the one used by Bentley in their interiors). Finally, they completed the interior by garnishing the seats and headliner with a combination of brown Alcantara and brown-and-black leather.

In keeping with the luxurious theme, and to provide the client and his guests with high-quality entertainment, the Vilner team installed a 600-watt audio and navigation system. It is linked to a 15-inch roof-mounted LCD screen, whose sole responsibility is the amusement of the passengers on the back seat. The whole interior is illuminated by ambient lighting, while the dashboard dials are painted in a matching brown shade and are LED-lit.

Sometimes hunting and fishing lovers, such as the Russian owner of “The Twins”, like to continue with their activities after sunset. To aid this desire, the Vilner guys have installed additional xenon and day lights.
